Etiquetagem de fotografias no Instagram Greenpeace Brasil e sua relação com a análise documentária de imagens
Abstract
Considering the processes of attributing hashtags to the Greenpeace Brasil image collection on the Instagram social network by its users through the folksonomy process, this research aims to investigate and analyze photo tagging on the Instagram social network and its relationship with the categories of documentary analysis of photographic images proposed by Manini (2002). For this, the work is characterized as descriptive with data collection through observation. From the point of view of the research objectives, the present study has a descriptive and exploratory character with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The most popular photograph of each month was selected from January to December 2019, resulting in 12 photographs for the research corpus. For the analysis, 59 hashtags attributed to the 12 selected photographs from the collection were collected and the results showed that most of the hashtags attributed in the images correspond to the category ABOUT, which shows that the photographic images are represented in a more subjective way and with limited consensus. It is concluded that the attribute grid proposed by Manini (2002) proved to be relevant with regard to the categorization for correct representation of photographic images, but that there is a lack of knowledge of the indexers in question to represent the photographic images published in the collection of the Greenpeace Brasil.
