Investimento de impacto no Brasil: um estudo sobre a Bemtevi Investimento Social
Abstract
Brazil has wide potential to develop itself in a sustainable way. The UN 2030 Agenda, combined to Brazilian Impact Investment Ecosystem, is part of the fronts that provide economic growth linked to increased social and environmental impact. This study aimed to discuss the characteristics and possibilities of Impact Investment, in addition financial loans, through the case study of an Impact Investor, Bemtevi Investimento Social. By means of qualitative descriptive research methodology, it was possible to map Bemtevi's activities and identify which of them are not related to the financial resource loan, such as: the inclusive selection process, the employment of the Theory of Change methodology to define the strategy and results monitoring, the follow-up and counseling during the Bemtevi Journey and the stimulus to interest reduction attached to achieving socioenvironmental impact goals. These characteristics strengthen the continuity of Social Businesses, being a push for Sustainable Development guidelines.
