O cuidado ao paciente com Diabetes Mellitus tipo 1 e família no SUS: uma revisão integrativa
Abstract
Objective: To identify how the rehabilitation process of patients and their families takes place in the face of the diagnosis of Diabetes Mellitus type l (DM1), within the scope of the Unified Health System (SUS). Method: Integrative literature review through the guiding question “How has the rehabilitation process of patients and their families been carried out in the face of the diagnosis of DM1 within the SUS?”. Searches were carried out in three databases, original studies and/or reviews, in Portuguese, Spanish and English, from 2011 to 2021. Results: 13 studies were chosen. Two themes emerged from the review and analysis process: 'Difficulty in the diagnosis and treatment of DM1 and the need for rehabilitation' and 'Rehabilitation actions: positive aspects of SUS and nursing'. Conclusions: The review showed a lack of studies and among them, it is highlighted that the fragility in reception and longitudinality resulted in non-resolving care. Ignorance and professional unpreparedness point to the urgency of permanent health education actions. Studies that signal autonomy and nursing committed to the quality of care also stand out, signaling potency for the exercise of equity and comprehensive care.
