Questões de projeção literária em contexto digital
Abstract
Palavra claves: Algoritmos. Circulación Literaria. Discurso The analysis of how algorithms, in the technical-scientific-informational period (SANTOS, 2000), interfere with literary circulation is the aim of this research. For this purpose, we consider the algorithm as a type of medium, as it is a technical object that has constituted of Organized Matter (OM) and a Materialized Organization (OM) (DEBRAY, 1993). Therefore, this interferes with book circulation through rankings creation and digital environment mentions. Considering the relevance of this kind of research for literary studies, we quest to understand the logic of the technical discursive operation of the algorithm according to assumptions about cyberculture and digital culture by Salgado (2021). In line with Salgado's studies, we also take advantage of assumptions about flows, speed, competition, and competitiveness, by Milton Santos (2000), in the technical-scientificinformational period. To constitute the research corpus, creating hypotheses and questing for answers through isolated cases were held by case studies, which resulted in ‘The infinite bookcase’; ‘The new bookseller is an algorithm’; ‘Rankings in the digital environment’. In addition, we have analyzed the circulation of the book Torto Arado (2019), written by Itamar Vieira Junior, in the digital environment. The book had selected because it gained notoriety on social media and by ranking data on PublishNews from 2019 to 2021. For the analysis, we used bibliographic and documentary research and the French discursive approach to literary spaces and creative paratopia by Dominique Maingueneau (2014). The mentions on websites, the GQ Magazine Award in the year 2021, the interview on the Brazilian talk show Roda Viva (2021), and the Google Trends ranking (2019-2022) had used as the material of this analysis. As a result of the research, we conclude that algorithms are catalysts for changes in literary circulation and authorship in the digital environment.
