Resumo
This work aims to analyze the novel Predadores (2005), by the Angolan writer
Pepetela, through the theoretical assumptions of post-colonialism and under the
thematic axis of the rise of the bourgeoisie in post-independence Angola. Therefore, it
is intended here to reflect, through the analysis of the character Vladimiro Caposso,
the subversion of anti-colonial values by the nationalist bourgeoisie that after
independence occupies the spaces of power formerly under the control of the colonial
system and embodies the role of the colonizer in Angolan society.
