Plataforma SIGAVERDE como instrumento de gestão de espaços verdes do campus da UFSCar
Abstract
The present work aims to collaborate with the management of urban green spaces through the technologies of geographic information systems. These spaces impact the life of the population through the provision of ecosystem services, cultural and environmental quality regulation. Based on the mapping of areas available on the SIGAVERDE platform (https://sigaverde.web.app/map), the objective was to validate its operation by monitoring maintenance/cutting/pruning process and verifying the indexes corresponding to vegetation growth. The observation of the vegetation growth rate of Bahiagrass species is intended to facilitate the management of the maintenance/cleaning of a previously delimited area or lot, predicting the growth time, and indicating when the grass is tall, as well as allow the user to register on the platform when maintenance is carried out, thus optimizing the planning processes for better management. The model simulates growth by measuring some environmental stresses, such as water availability and radiation. Seeking to evaluate the model, we used vegetation indices (NDVI and EVI2) obtained from the PlanetScope satellite to estimate the leaf area index (LAIP) and compare this with the model outputs, which return LAI and biomass values. The results show that the model fits relatively well to the real scenario, although there were setbacks in the platform update. With some adaptations for operational conditions, it is believed that it has a lot to contribute to the municipal administration, adding management efficiency, collective participation of citizens and conservation of the environment.
