Desenvolvimento de um jogo interativo sobre a dengue
Abstract
Dengue is a pathology caused by a virus transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito and is considered one of the most serious public health problems in America. School is a privileged environment for efficient activities aimed at the same, but to do so, it needs to be pleasurable and attractive to students. The development of computer-supported software and/or educational activities directly interferes with the learning outcome and can be used in the classroom in a playful and fun way, providing intrinsic motivation in this sense. Thus, this work aimed to evaluate games on the theme “dengue” available on the internet and also to design an interactive game on the same subject, as a support for teachers and students in basic education in teaching Science. The game “Everyone against Dengue” was developed using the Microsoft PowerPoint® authoring tool. During the conception and design of the game, criteria such as target audience, content to be covered, duration and number of phases, and level of difficulty, among others, were considered. Subsequently, a testing phase was carried out to evaluate the technical functionality and suitability of the content. Through the application of a questionnaire, using the Likert scale, it was found that the majority of participating volunteers were in favor of the game, configuring its viability and acceptance. Therefore, it is expected that this game will serve as a tool to support basic education teachers in teaching about dengue and as an instrument in the training of students, informing them about the risks and prevention of this disease, as well as making them agents that modify this reality. in their communities.
