Benefícios de sistemas de informação do tipo ERP na gestão ESG dentro das organizações
Abstract
In recent decades, there has been an intensification of social and environmental concerns, especially in the business sphere. Environmental responsibility, social justice and ethical governance (ESG) have taken over corporate strategies, becoming crucial elements for organizational survival and prosperity. At the same time, the relevance of integrated business management systems (ERP) is highlighted, which have the capacity to harmonize a wide range of commercial processes, from production to end customer service in order to guarantee the full functioning of the organization. In this context, the present study proposes a holistic analysis, supported by ERP, on the prospect of incorporating ESG themes into organizational reality. To achieve this objective, the research seeks to answer the following question: “How can ERP systems support and transform corporate environmental and social management?” The research was divided into three approaches: literature review, data collection and documentary analysis of cases. The results obtained significantly corroborate the contribution of integrated management systems to improving ESG in organizations. Furthermore, opportunities stand out for more in-depth studies on the social and governance, hitherto explored in a limited way. Overall, the need for a comprehensive approach was found, which involves collaboration between different stakeholders, continuous monitoring and adaptation to changes in ESG expectations. Finally, opportunities for integrating artificial intelligence in this context are highlighted, advancing the efficiency of the integration process.
