Resumen
This work is the result of a bibliographic research of an exploratory nature on role-playing
games and gender differentiation in early childhood education. For data collection, works
were selected from the Google Scholar platform. The productions were analyzed to present
historical elements regarding the research process in the area, covering the history of early
childhood education in Brazil, the concept of gender, and how this intersection is addressed in
early education. The findings show that the in-depth texts available on Google Scholar display
equity, appearing to convey the same concepts. However, there is a significant gap in relation
to proposals that can effectively translate theory into practice. This lack of concrete strategies
contributes to the perpetuation of gender inequalities, highlighting the need for a more
comprehensive and applied approach to confront and transform these issues in educational
practice.
