Resumo
This work aimed to expand and develop methods for teaching and learning of Mathematics, in particular, seeking possibilities for introducing probabilities for Basic Education through the use of mathematical challenges and their practices. Firstly, the preliminary contents are presented based on the books by Dantas and Morgado, in order to formalize the contents used. Furthermore, the indications of skills present in the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) are presented. The mathematical challenges were divided into two moments, the first presenting analog and digital games. In the second, some mathematical puzzles are presented. The data from this bibliographical research is more quantitative in nature, based on books and articles to support this possibility of using mathematical challenges to explore the teaching of probability in the classroom. Specifically, the experience with application of a mathematical challenge for high school will be
presented.
