Its intrinsic properties, such as high mechanical strength, biocompatibility, biodegradability, and high water-holding capacity, make it a versatile and highly attractive material. However, these same characteristics may pose limitations, especially when the surface properties are not suitable for the intended application. In this context, plasma modification emerges as an effective strategy for tailoring BNC surface properties, enabling both the reduction and enhancement of its wettability, as well as introducing new functionalities such as antimicrobial activity. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of Model-Based Testing (MBT) on automation of end-to-end tests in Android applications, using GraphWalker as MBT tool and Appium as automation framework. The tests were implemented in three open-source utility applications by the first author and followed well-defined steps for modeling, coding, test execution, and failure analysis. The results indicated a balanced evaluation, consistent with the steep learning curve of TBM found in literature. Considering that the level of prior knowledge with the tools was low in the context of the study, the best results were obtained in a reduced-scope implementation where the application had well-indexed elements, which facilitated the use of Appium, and the tests were modeled with a single and lean model, which facilitated the use of GraphWalker.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Prevalência de fadiga por compaixão e experiências adversas na infância em funcionários de uma instituição de acolhimento(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-02) de Araujo, Ana Carolina Benevides; D'Affonseca, Sabrina Mazo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0381029115416584Caregivers who work with children in residential care may be at risk of developing Compassion Fatigue, a form of physical and emotional exhaustion resulting from the empathic cost of dealing with others’ suffering. This study aimed to investigate the levels of Compassion Fatigue among professionals working with children in residential care and to identify the relationship between Compassion Fatigue levels and the professionals’ own Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Fifteen professionals participated in the study. ACEs were assessed using the ACE score, while Burnout, Compassion Fatigue, and Compassion Satisfaction were measured using the ProQOL scale. Descriptive analyses and Spearman correlations were conducted. Compassion Fatigue remained low (73% low; 27% moderate), as did Burnout (86.6% low; 13.3% moderate), whereas Compassion Satisfaction was high (53.3% high; 46.6% moderate). Regarding ACEs, 33.3% reported no adverse experiences, 40.0% reported between 1 and 3, and 26.7% reported ≥4, with a mean ACE score of 2.33 (SD = 2.29). Correlations between ACEs and compassion satisfaction and fatigue were moderate but not statistically significant (rho = -0.380–0.373; p = 0.162–0.176). A significant negative correlation was found between emotional neglect and burnout (rho = −0.528; p = 0.043). The results indicate that although most professionals had experienced at least one ACE, levels of burnout and compassion fatigue remained low, while compassion satisfaction was high. The theoretical framework draws on contributions from the Sociology of Law, which conceptualizes the STF as an arena of dispute among political groups, guiding the analysis toward an understanding of how legal reasoning and social pressures intertwine in the decision-making process. Methodologically, the study employs documentary research and thematic content analysis applied to the initial petition, the justices’ opinions, the 2013 public hearing, and the amicus curiae submissions. The results indicate a predominance of arguments grounded in the principles of equality (isonomy) and anti-corruption, mobilized by different actors involved in the proceedings. These arguments reveal the construction of a discourse in defense of political equality and the integrity of the democratic process in a context marked by the emergence and consolidation of Operation Car Wash and the increasing delegitimization of the political system. A low level of mobilization of the right to freedom of expression was observed, as it was treated marginally in comparison with the emphasis placed on republican values and the fight against fraud. This suggests that the decision was influenced by both legal reasoning and the broader social pressures of that period. Among the various functions assumed by the school institution, its relevance stands out as an environment of social interactions in which individuals establish relationships and develop skills such as coexistence, empathy, and cooperation. However, these interactions can also reflect dynamics of inclusion and exclusion, processes intrinsic to school life. Phenomena such as bullying highlight how exclusion can deeply affect students’ lives, generating consequences that extend beyond the limits of the school. With the advent and popularization of new technologies, these social dynamics have acquired a new dimension. Interactions and conflicts, previously restricted to the physical school space, now extend to social networks and digital platforms, potentially taking on even larger and more complex proportions. Many of these episodes, often premeditated and announced either subtly or explicitly on digital platforms, raise urgent questions about the relationship between the school environment, social interactions, and the use of social networks. Given the above, it is observed that the processes of bullying and cyberbullying are interconnected with school massacres. Likewise, it is possible to analyze, based on the statements and experiences of students and teaching staff, how hate speech can influence and reshape the school environment and its spatialities. The data collected through questionnaires applied to students and teachers reveal vulnerabilities and the growing presence of hate speech and motivating content in virtual social networks. Bullying and cyberbullying, therefore, do not result from a single factor but from multiple dimensions. Although bullying is not the only determinant, it appears as a recurring element in attack narratives. The study concludes that violence is fluid, reinvents itself, and finds in cyberspace both an environment of support and a means of spreading hostility.
