Environmental Interpretation (IA) constitutes a set of technical, artistic and philosophical procedures, applied in order to propose the revelation of meanings, instead of simply communicating information, aiming to establish a transformative relationship between the public and the protected heritage. In this context, the present work presents a conceptual AI project proposal for the Gruta dos Paiva, located in the buffer zone of the Intervales State Park (PEI), in the State of São Paulo. The project was designed to contribute to the implementation of conservation management strategies, as the cave is one of PEI's tourist attractions. The research was developed through a systematic literature review, adaptations of the ROVUC method for field activities, interviews, dialogues and participatory seminars. The results presented correspond to a base of interpretative means, considering the attractive potential of each point of interest studied. The study presents information for more detailed discussions on proposals and standards for materials and graphic solutions, itineraries, content and interpretive panels arranged on the trails, in Gruta dos Paiva and its surroundings, through suggested routing, with the insertion of a geological itinerary, animated production for graphic representation in the audio visual hall, installation of sensory spaces to ensure local accessibility, installation of interpretive panels and personalized itinerary for the karst route.

Social vulnerability and food insecurity (FI) have increased in Brazil in recent years, especially during the health crisis caused by Covid-19. Currently, in the country, there are 125.2 million people in FI and more than 33 million in a situation of hunger. Unconventional food plants (UFP) are a food alternative to diversify family diets and mitigate food insecurity. The present research aimed to verify whether social vulnerability and food insecurity influence the consumption of UFP and whether these food plants are more used among families with high social vulnerability. The study took place in the urban area of the municipality of Registro, Vale do Ribeira, SP. Using the Snowball methodology, 74 interviews were carried out in households distributed in low and high vulnerability groups. To verify the location of vulnerability groups in urban areas, the Census (IBGE) and São Paulo Social Vulnerability Index (IPVS) databases were used. In all the houses visited, in addition to the interviews, an inventory of the backyards was carried out to verify the occurrence of UFP consumed and not consumed as food by families. It was found that 100% of families that presented moderate FI and severe FI had occurrence of UFP in their backyards, followed by families with mild FI, with 83.33%. Regarding the consumption of these plants as food, families in moderate FI are those that use UFP the most (90.90%), followed by families in severe FI (87.50%) and mild FI (55.55%). It was also found that families residing in the high social vulnerability group are the ones that consume the most UFP from their backyards (77.77%), compared to families in low vulnerability groups (65.79%). Based on these results, therefore, it is possible to affirm that social vulnerability and food insecurity are factors that influence the consumption of UFP in urban areas. It is hoped that this study can contribute to public and private initiatives to promote and popularize UFP, especially among families in social vulnerability and with greater exposure.

Planejamento da paisagem urbana visando a implantação de corredor ecológico entre os dois maiores fragmentos florestais do município de Campinas, a Mata de Santa Genebra e a Mata Ribeirão Cachoeira

Forests in the Atlantic Forest biome are increasingly rare, due to some degration factors that affect forest areas, such as, the uncontrolled urban areas expansion, agricultural and industrial activities, illegal deforestation, animal trafficking and the introduction of exotic species. One of the strategies to reduce the effects of fragmentation, increase the availability of resources and maintain ecological processes is to increase landscape connectivity through recovery actions, aiming to facilitate the flow of organisms among the remnants. Thus, the present study aims to plan the landscape in order to support the implementation of an ecological corridor among the two largest forest remnants of the Municipality of Campinas, the Area of Relevant Ecological Interest Mata de Santa Genebra and the Mata do Ribeirão Cachoeira. Land cover and usage mapping was carried out through visual interpretation of satellite images at a scale of 1:5.000, with the survey being carried out at a scale of 1:2,500, which resulted in a classification of 18 use classes. The species Puma concolor (cougar) was chosen as the target species for developing a connectivity scenario. To construct the corridor proposal, a buffer of 50 meters was created on each side of the chosen connectivity lines, totalizing 100 meters in width. The proposed corridor has an area of 248.86 ha, and taking into consideration the area of the priority remnants that are connected by it, the area adds up to a total of 1.783,49 ha. Validation of the corridor was carried out using trap cameras installed at 5 points along the proposed corridor, with the main species recorded being Puma concolor, Cuniculus paca and Caluromys philander.

This project analyzes how non-formal environmental education has contributed to formal environmental education in schools. The object of study focuses on the project Learning wit the Atlantic Forest, with activities to milieu analysis, being developed by the SOS Mata Atlântica Foudation since 2010 at the Forestry Research Center SOS Mata Atlântica - HEIENKEN Group, located in Itu, São Paulo. The time frame of the research is limited to the year 2022, with 11 teachers from 6 schools as subjects. This is a case study and the methodological data collection procedures involve bibliographic and documentary review and fieldwork in an action research approach. The results obtained indicate the relevance of studying the environment in the educational training of students and teachers regarding environmental education and, therefore, the potential of non-formal educational spaces such as the Experiment Center in this context. It is concluded, with this work, that the Learning with the Atlantic Forest project has interfaces with the milieu analysis, is recognized by teachers about the educational potential and encourages developments for actions at school, in order to highlight and strengthen the positive relationship and proposal between formal and non-formal environmental education.
