Abstract
The world electricity sector is undergoing a major revolution thanks to the birth
and implementation of so-called Smart Grids or Intelligent Energy Grids. This
revolution is centered on the massive and active use of data generated by these
networks, using concepts such as Internet of Things, Big Data and Artificial
Intelligence. One of the key equipment for this revolution is the smart energy meters,
which collect and send data that make the network “smart”.
This work aims to present the development of a prototype energy meter, based
on the concept of internet of things, low cost and open source.
