Circuito Oscilador para Tratamento Térmico de Ligas Aço Carbono Através de Aquecimento Indutivo
Abstract
The work described here aimed at the design of an inductive heating oven using a new methodology, by using a natural oscillating circuit that, by means of an induction coil, generates the magnetic field that will heat the inserted workpiece inside. The workpiece adopted for the heat treatment in this work is a carbon steel alloy known as Steel 5160. For the construction of the system, the dependence of the metal composition on the heating temperature and the behavior of the induced eddy currents were taken into account. This work presents: the circuit topology used; the proposed design methodology; the design of the induction coil, where the shape, number of turns and the space between the coil and the part are essential for efficient system operation; the heating curve obtained through the complete tempering of the end of a key and a nail, and the efficiency of the system, making a quick comparison of the results obtained in relation to other research. The final prototype assembled was low-cost; low complexity and high versatility.
