"Está com dó? Leva pra casa!”: representações sociais da adolescência e do ato infracional revelados em sites de notícias
Abstract
The fragmented and uncritical understanding of common sense, often permeated by the form of sharing of news in social media, opens space for a "delinquent" conception of adolescence "delinquency" conception of adolescence, absolute responsibility and naturalization of and naturalization of infractional acts. Complementarily, we sought to to analyze, thematically, the content of the internet users' comments. The corpus of analysis were virtual comments made by internet users on a website with free access. The inclusion criteria were: i) journalistic texts published in the period 2018- 2020 that explicitly portrayed 2020 and that explicitly portrayed infractional acts committed by adolescents; ii) stories that had "add comments" enabled for users; iii) news that covered acts of infraction committed by adolescents in all regions of the country. regions of the country. The analysis was inspired by the Thematic Analysis (TA) technique, which resulted in five central themes: 1) The Incitation to Violence and Punitive Measures to Adolescents 2) Accountability for Infractions; 3) Criticism of the Rights Assurance System; 4) About Police Intervention 4) About Police Intervention with Adolescents; and finally, 5) Other Interactivities. The research revealed that social representations still persist in the social imaginary, permeated by permeated by ignorance of the reality of adolescents. Besides, it was noted that the comments are allusive to proposals of violence, repression, torture, and the death penalty, reduction of the age of criminal responsibility, and an increase in police violence. It was also found that the users interacted aggressively among themselves in some articles, which showed the lack of the lack of dialogue and disrespect for different opinions.
