Elementar: um jogo de tabuleiro sobre a história da química para o novo ensino médio
Abstract
Several works in the field of science education highlight the contribution of the use of games to the teaching and learning processes. In Chemistry Education, these resources can be auxiliary tools for the teacher, since they seek to arouse the students' interest, promote interaction in the classroom and facilitate the understanding of contents treated in this discipline. This paper deals with the development, application and evaluation of a board game called “Elementar”, an adaptation of the game Jogo Perfil®. The game has an investigative character and discusses the concept of chemical element through the approach of the History of Chemistry. The data obtained on the application of this didactic resource, with students of the 2nd grade of the New High School of a state public school in the State of São Paulo, were analyzed considering the normative character of the BNCC and the São Paulo Curriculum, as well as the conception of the indicators of the scientific literacy process by Sasseron and Carvalho (2008). The results show that the didactic game fits into the norms of flexibility in the New High School, since it allows for the deepening of knowledge in the area of natural sciences, and contributes to the teaching and learning situations of the objects of knowledge of Chemistry to occur in a more attractive and meaningful way for the student.
