Evolução do setor imobiliário brasileiro: uma análise entre 2013 e 2023

Abstract

Considering the relevance that the real estate sector has for the country's economy, as well as for the population in general, which aspires to own their dream home, the present study aimed to characterize, identify, and discuss how the real estate sector evolved in Brazil between 2013 and 2023. Specific objectives included constructing an exposition on the historical evolution of the sector to pinpoint its historical bottlenecks, as well as presenting information that qualifies the market, complementing economic variables about it. To achieve the proposed objectives, the methodology implemented was bibliographic research and descriptive analysis of secondary data. As main observed conclusions, it is noted that variables representing the economy's inflation, as well as its product, help understand real estate sector trends, but they are not sufficient for a complete understanding. The evaluation of information qualifying the sector and expressing how significant homeownership is as an objective, especially for lower-income families, proves to be of great importance.
