One of the possible analyses refers to the extraction of functional and evolutionary characteristics of the studied organisms. Thus, in this line of research, this study is motivated in identifying common regions, in terms of the genes that they contain, in multiple proteomes that keep the order and the gene content. The problem is modeled with a colored graph, and the common regions between proteomes are like clicks in the graph. Using peculiarities of the constructed graph, an algorithm for search space reduction was developed, making it possible to get complete results in a short time. It became the main element in the classification/institution of deviant identities after 1870, in the period of the Empire decline. The appearance of the so called new ideas and the anti-slavery measures created fears of the black population understood as a social danger that lead to a new way of comprehension of Brazilian society and its deviant identities. These theories about social deviance have used sexuality as one of the strategies that made possible the critique of the old imperial order and the consolidation of the bourgeois one as well. The method implemented uses digital image processing, and among them Hough transform for circular objects and Match for correlation with objects having different forms. The method was developed based on the visual Borland Builderr C++ environment, and for the image acquisition a luminance equalization system was used to allow stabilized and continuous 1,200 lux. For the validation of the method, samples containing Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans, Escherichia Coli, and Staphylococcus aureus were analyzed. Results have shown the potentiality of the methodology, which is applied for laboratory applications that involved the quantification of bacterial colonies in a solid culture environment.
