listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Formação de redes sociais de empresas incubadas : o caso da incubadora de empresas de base tecnológica de Ribeirão Preto(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-06-29) Populin, Tatiana Borges; Côrtes, Mauro RochaTechnological based firms (TBFs) have been widely studied because of its importance in the nation´s innovation system. Health industry is one of the most innovative sector at the economy and it´s constituted also of great corporations and health care manufacture equipment and biotechnology small firms that compete at health equipment manufactory and biotechnology market niches. Ribeirão Preto is characterized as one of the technological region at São Paulo state. The development of SUPERA is one of the strategies adopted to consolidate the city as a health technological polar region. This work analysis the social relations between technological-based firms and institutional agents of health sector. For this purpose it´s used social networks methods to calculate specific measures such as density and centrality degree of actors. It evidences that SUPERA is at the center of studied information and cooperation networks. Theorists defend that these kind of network support companies´ innovation process and its competitiveness. The analysis of density and centrality measures so as actor´s scores of 2-mode matrices where calculated using the software Ucinet. The results confirm the central role of SUPERA for the creation of new TBFs; identify that the studied firms are inserted in low density networks and that strong relations seems to exist more frequently in cooperation relations between university-firms rather than with another institutions. It concludes that there are few entrepreneur´s information exchange relations and that they do not recognize the relevance of institutional agents in the firms innovation process. Cooperative action is almost inexistent or occurs in the informal level without relevance to the TBFs´ innovative system. The incubation process seems to be the extension of academic projects that tends to the mantain the distances between firms and market reality.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Aprendizado de máquina baseado em separabilidade linear em sistema de classificação híbrido-nebuloso aplicado a problemas multiclasse(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-06-29) Tuma, Carlos Cesar Mansur; Figueiredo, Maurício Fernandes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4514898499279696; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0916152883066962This master thesis describes an intelligent classifier system applied to multiclass non-linearly separable problems called Slicer. The system adopts a low computacional cost supervised learning strategy (evaluated as ) based on linear separability. During the learning period the system determines a set of hyperplanes associated to oneclass regions (sub-spaces). In classification tasks the classifier system uses the hyperplanes as a set of if-then-else rules to infer the class of the input attribute vector (non classified object). Among other characteristics, the intelligent classifier system is able to: deal with missing attribute values examples; reject noise examples during learning; adjust hyperplane parameters to improve the definition of the one-class regions; and eliminate redundant rules. The fuzzy theory is considered to design a hybrid version with features such as approximate reasoning and parallel inference computation. Different classification methods and benchmarks are considered for evaluation. The classifier system Slicer reaches acceptable results in terms of accuracy, justifying future investigation effort.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A aprendizagem da docência de uma professora iniciante : um olhar com foco na intermulticulturalidade(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-06-29) Palomino, Thaís Juliana; Lima, Emília Freitas de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4005182211673754The diversity invades the school through the culture and beliefs of students and their families, minority groups etc. The attention to issues such as diversity, difference, equality and inequality it is urgent. In this scenario, the teaching can not only field of teaching contents. It needs to be intermulticultural, understood as that one that considers the diversity and differences and conceives the inaqualities as constructed in the discursives and social relations. Moreover, the teacher, whose practices are based on intermulticulturality, conducts its activities with political sensitivity to transform social reality. Under these assumptions, this research was carried out with a beginner teacher in their first two years of practice in teaching (with two classes of first grade) in order to assist it in the construction of teaching practices based on intermulticulturalidade. Initially we offer a course for continued formation on the thematic that had as main objective to help the participants realize ideological traps and disarm them in which we, teachers, fall in the classroom. Soon after, one of the teachers of the course expressed interest in continuing to work and was monitored for two semesters. In its first two years of teaching in two different schools, one countrified and one urban, the teacher went through all the difficulties to the beginning of the career: a professional loneliness, fluctuations between discovery and survival, the desire to abandon a career were reported feelings for her. While we folloied her in the classroom, we see the ideological traps in which the teacher fell and especially the reasons that led to fall, that is, to understand its cultural conceptions, as interrogated it them and to help it in this process. In interviews and informal conversations the teacher explained some stereotypical beliefs and values, while they, in their work in the classroom, invested in some practices that they considered and worked with the diversity and difference between their students and which the students in a positive way. Some approaches and practices based on removals intermulticulturality are perceived, also, as fruit of adversity the start of teaching.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo do processo de cristalização de sacarose a partir de soluções provenientes de cana-de-açúcar por resfriamento controlado(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-06-29) Merheb, Graciela de Amaral; Giulietti, Marco; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7703659740618915Today, Brazil is the major producer and exporter of sugar in the world. In the last harvest 2008/2009, 31.5 millions tons were produced, of which 60% were exported providing a 40% of international market share. However, sugar is a product that has commercial difficulties, due to the hard restrictions, such as rates, subsidizes and technical barriers like the use of sulfur (input) in laundering. Because of this, the development of a technology for the production of sugar with superior quality, less cost and without sulfur for the laundering would be of great interest for the productive sector. The present work aims to study the process of crystallization of sucrose from sugar solutions of syrup and sugar cane by controlled cooling. A laboratory plant with production capacity of 1 kg of sugar per batch, installed in the laboratory of industrial development of the Sugarcane Technology Center (CTC) in Piracicaba was used for the present work. The results regarding the reduction of impurities initially present in sugar crystals through crystallization by controlled cooling were: 95% in color, 85% in starch and 80% in dextran. For the syrup classified as VVHP, reductions obtained in crystals through crystallization by controlled cooling were: 96% of the final color of the sugar (from 10,100 IU to 361 IU), 98% in the amount of ash conductivity, 84% in the amount of starch and 52% in the amount of dextran. Obtained the results led to the construction of a pilot plant by scaling the process that will be implemented in an industrial unit.
