The objective of this paper was to study the influence of metal loading content on the properties of bimetallic catalysts, formed by Pt and Ni, supported on zeolite HUSY and HBEA. Another objective of this study was to infer possible mechanisms and reaction pathways. In this sense, were compared catalysts containing different contents and percentage of metals in the isomerization of n-heptane and characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), hydrogen chemisorption, temperature-programmed reduction (TPR). The results show that the catalyst with the total metal content of 180 μmol of Me.gcat -1 was the most active, suggesting that there is an optimum relationship between acid sites and metallic sites. The increase in total metal content of the solid from this value decreases the activity of the same, possibly due to decreased dispersion of metallic phase in the catalyst. In this content, the activity increases with the percentage of platinum, until the value of 50%. Increasing the percentage of platinum above this value, there is a slight decrease in activity of the catalyst. The catalysts with higher activity were almost 100% selective to the isomerization reaction. Through TEM and chemisorption of H2 there was a better metal dispersion on the catalyst 50Pt50Ni/HBEA with 180 μmol of Me.gcat -1 in agreement with the catalytic results. By EDX analysis performed during the characterization by scanning electron microscopy verified the presence of nickel, which was not found by EDX analysis in transmission electron microscopy, indicating that this element (metal or cationic) is dispersed in the zeolite matrix. The results of TPR, there was a greater reduction of Ni2+ ions when it is in the presence of Pt, evidenced by the shift reduction peak to lower temperatures in front of the bimetallic catalysts monometallic. The results also showed that the process of rapid reduction has not reduced completely cations Pt2+ and Ni2+ in the catalysts. It was realized a study of the influence of contact time of reagents (nhexane and n-heptane) with the catalyst and also the isomerization of 2-methylhexane in order to study the mechanism of isomerization.

The theme of this survey is the analysis of public guidelines existing for the preservation of the cultural heritage in the country, and how they are applied to two cases in Sorocaba city. The main purpose is to compare them in terms of legal apparatus and tourist activity elements in this scenario. The survey would to show that tourism is not usually present in Sorocaba cultural heritage and often his managers not realise the tourism, in special the cultural tourism as a tool for the preservation of historical heritage. In addition to bibliographic search in the area, Oral history was used as a supplementary methodology to obtain data, besides the field visit. The procedure followed was analyse the role of public managers responsible for heritage (Federal, State and municipal) and the heritage policies, based on historical and cultural significance of the objects of study chosen - in this case, São Bento monastery and Bom Jesus do Bonfim chapel, allied to some considerations of cultural tourism potentiality in the city.

The objective of this research is to sketch a short view of the didactic books (from now on LD Livro didático) that focus the teaching of the Spanish Language which were published in Brazil between the years of 1991 and 2008. To focus this research I analyzed 29 different titles, whose target public are the students of Elementary (I and II cycles) as well as High School students. The analyses considered the way of proposed activities directed to acquiring/developing communicative competence and the four linguistic abilities (reading, writing, speaking and listening). The option to analyze the LDs was due to a research checked that was previously performed by Denise Pincaço, which resulted in a Mastering dissertation named História e Ensino de Espanhol de 1942 a 1990 and is related to my research that continuous, that is, goes on such work and focus the subsequent years (that is from 1991 till 2008). First the LDs were analyzed one by one in accordance to the target public, so that it was possible to perform the following analyses. In a reduced way we can summary the production of LDs in three moments: (a) domain of a Traditional approach from 1940 to 1990; (b) publishing books with activities focusing a communicative teaching (from 1991 to 1999); (c) the first LDs published in a communicative way from 2000. Comparing the Spanish LDs with the orientations in the PCNs (Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais) and in the OCEMs (Orientações Curriculares para o Ensino Médio), I observed the presence of disparity between what is suggested and what is developed in the LDs as an example the lack of activities focusing the development of discursive, strategic and sociolinguistic sub-abilities. With this interpretative research, I hope to contribute to the Scientific Brazilian community effort to make up an historic of LDs production in our country as well to point lacks to be even when elaborating LDs aiming the Spanish language teaching and learning.

The aim of this study was to determine the ways necessary for the establishment and maintenance of a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and present some possibilities of action in Special Education. In the city of São Carlos, directors of NGOs working in Special Education were interviewed, to ascertain why this NGO was founded, what its goals were, its difficulties, how its role is and what organs it is linked to, what society segments and partners and its actions are, besides informing its difficulties and challenges. The participants were five directors of NGOs working with Special Education. The interviews took place by appointment and were recorded on a digital video recorder and later transcribed in full. For support and discussion of the interviews it was raised the theoretical reference by getting information on legal aspects, which must be considered for the establishment and maintenance of an NGO, as well as some means to manage and execute a project. The contemporary vocation of an NGO is to mobilize people and to propose actions and partnerships between the Public and Private sectors. It was observed in these interviews that the NGOs had in their responses similar expressions and this allowed a reflection on the theme NGOs, Special Education and its possibilities and challenges.

In innate or learned threatening situations, animals display a set of defensive behaviors specie-specific such as autonomic alterations, flight, fight and antinociception. Exposure of mice to open elevated plus-maze (oEPM: four open arms), an aversive situation, elicits antinociception of high magnitude. However, mechanisms involved in this kind of antinociception are not clear yet. This study investigated whether antinociception induced by exposure to an oEPM shows cross-tolerance with morphine (Exp. I and II); is attenuated by repetead exposure to the oEPM (Exp. III); is blocked by systemic treatment with naltrexone (Exp. IV); is prevented by adrenalectomy (Exp. V); persists after animal removal from the oEPM and if there are sex-related differences in this factor (Exp. VI); is mediated by CB1 cannabinoid receptor (Exp. VII). Rats were daily treated with morphine (M, 5 mg/kg, i.p.) or distilled water (DW) for 5 consecutive days (antinociceptive tolerance assessed by the tailflick test). Next day, rats received formalin 2.5% injection (50 μL) into the right hind paw and, after first phase of formalin test, they were treated with M or DW. 25 minutes after formalin injection into the paw, time spent licking the injected paw was recorded for 10 minutes (Exp. 1). Similar procedure was followed in the Experiment II, except that time spent licking the paw was recorded during exposure to the oEPM or enclosed EPM (eEPM: four arms enclosed) in undrugged rats. In Experiment III, nociception was evaluated in rats submitted to 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6 exposures to either eEPM or oEPM (formalin was injected only during the last exposure). Experiment IV investigated the effects of naltrexone (0 and 2.5 mg/kg; s.c.) on nociception during eEPM or oEPM exposure. Nociception was also assessed during the eEPM or oEPM exposure in sham and adrenalectomized rats (exp. V). In experiment VII, rats were treated with vehicle (DMSO 60%) or AM251 (1 mg/kg, i.p., CB1 receptor antagonist). Fifteen minutes later, animals received formalin injection into the paw and, 25 minutes after, they were exposed to the eEPM or oEPM. In experiment VI, male and female rats were exposed to eEPM or oEPM (with no noxious stimulus during exposure) and imediately after they were tested on the hot plate test (52.4 °C). Results showed that antinociception induced by oEPM does not display cross-tolerance to morphine; was not altered for at least 6 exposures to the maze; failed to be reversed by naltrexone; was not prevented by adrenalectomy and was not blocked by AM251. In addition, this antinociception does not persist after animal removal of the apparatus, by contrast, it occurs a hyperalgesia (as assessed by hot plate test), a response that does not depend on sex-related differences. Results suggest that antinociception induced by oEPM: is not mediated by opioid system or CB1 cannabinoid receptors and it is not sensitive to corticosterone. Furthermore, animal removal of aversive environment alters nociceptive response from antinociception to hyperalgesia, a phenomenon that is independent of the gender.

The effect of Ce as a structural and electronic promoter on the activity and stability of Pt catalysts supported on Al2O3 for methane reforming reactions were investigated to elucidate the metal-support interaction. Pt/Al2O3 and Pt/CeO2-Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by conventional method of wet impregnation on commercial supports and on CeO2- Al2O3 mixed oxides obtained by sol-gel method, which were studied to emphasize the alumina properties promoted by CeO2 as a more homogeneous and stable system. The metalsupport interface of Pt catalysts was also explored by the one-step sol-gel preparation method. The samples were characterized by chemical analysis, N2 physissorption, thermogravimetry, X-ray diffraction (XRD), 27Al nuclear magnetic resonance (RMN), scattering (SEM) and transmission electronic microscopy (TEM), cycloexane dehydrogenation (metal dispersion), temperature programmed reduction (TPR-H2), infrared diffuse reflectance spectroscopy with Fourier transform of the CO adsorption (DRIFTS-CO), X-ray photoelectronic spectroscopy (XPS) and in situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS). The Pt/CeO2-Al2O3 catalysts exhibit higher activities and stabilities than Pt/Al2O3, which are even better when Pt is supported on CeO2-Al2O3 mixed oxide obtained by sol-gel method. Physical-chemistry properties and the stability of the mixed oxides depend on Ce content, temperature and atmosphere of thermal treatment. TEM data show deactivation of Pt/Al2O3 catalysts is due to strong Pt agglomeration. Ce presence makes the support more stable and anchors Pt in a better way. In situ XAS analysis reveal Pt is reduced by the heating under partial oxidation of methane (POM), when the catalysts ignition occurs. Ce presence reduces this temperature and promotes Pt reoxidation after the cooling under POM conditions, indicating the electronic transfer between Pt and Ce that is also confirmed by Pt and Ce oxidation states changes during POM and oxy-reduction cycles. In situ EXAFS results show the Pt-O-Ce interaction and reveal Pt clusters present morphological changes with temperature increasing. The oxidation of deposited carbon on metal surface via metal-support interface (evidenced by sol-gel method preparation) confers higher activity to the Pt/CeO2- Al2O3 catalysts and shows CH4 reforming reactions are controlled by two limiting steps strongly dependents on the temperature: methane dissociation and carbon oxidation. Massa spectrometry data during the POM show this reaction occurs by indirect mechanism (combustion-reforming).

The Heart Region, situated in the State of São Paulo, stands out for showing good indicators of quality of life, numbers of health establishments that exceeds the state average, besides being part of a modern system of information registering, the TBWEB, which facilitates the data entry and the monitoring of the TB patient. However, studies point that the most TB cases in the region that are referred to specialized hospitals still show a classic form and treatment of TB, that could be monitored in the ambulatories of their own cities. Considering the health and information support network and the good indicators of quality of life shown, it is noticed that it is still known a little about the TB patients profile and the kind of health assistance offered to them in the region. The objective of this study was characterizing the TB patients epidemiological profile that were notified in the region, as well as knowing the flow and the health network for their diagnosis and treatment. This was a descriptive and quantitative study which, in its first stage, the TBWEB database of the 2007 and 2008 years was analyzed, and in its second stage, interviews with the Tuberculosis Control Program (PCT) responsible ones in the six cities of the region were realized. The number of identified patients was 122, and between them there were 84 men with average age of 40 years. About 50% showed a schooling degree between 0 and 7 years. The pulmonary form was responsible for 86% of the cases; 85% were new cases and 25% of the notifications were done in hospitals and emergency units. The alcoholism (24%) and AIDS (18%) were the most present comorbidities, and the social causes, the diagnostic elucidation and the non-adherence to the treatment were the most found reasons of internment. For diagnosis, 101 radiographs, 94 bacilloscopies and 25 expectoration cultures were used. The Scheme I was used in 82% of the patients and 53% of them finished the card showing cure. Regarding the attending flow, the cases, after identified, are notified and referred to the city A, where they will start the treatment. The professionals had pointed, as problems, the lack of support equipments such as vehicles, adequate physical space, supplies-, delay in doing tests and presenting its results, besides the lack of medical professionals with specific formation, staff training and active search for respiratory symptomatics. The positive characteristics were point as being the involvement between the staff and the community, the facility in requesting diagnostic tests and the easy access to the reference service. Therefore, it is noticed that the epidemiologic profile of this population is similar to the one described in the literature for the all the state, including a high rate of detection out of the basic attention. Although the PCT had been recommending, since the 1990 years, the decentralization of the TB care, the Heart Region still centralized the attending in a reference city, in the occasion of this study. The interviewed professionals recognize, as problems, the lack of physical structure and supplies, the delay in the flow of tests and its results, the lack of the staff training and active search, beyond justifying the centralization by the lack of specialist medical professional. They also recognize, as a facilitator, the link between the professional and the TB patient.

The influence of the Parkinson s disease (DP) on lower limbs coordination during walking is still not completely known. The intra and interlimb coordination are essential during walking and an impairment in the motor control may affect them. On the other hand, studies about the effects of walking training with additional body load in PD are lacking. There is evidence that the increase of body load during treadmill walking improves reflex activity and leg extensor muscle activity, which are impaired in subjects with PD. Furthermore, the PD affects the quality of life of the subjects. For these reasons, two studies were accomplished. The purpose of the Study I was to compare the intralimb and interlimb coordination during walking between subjects with PD and healthy control subjects. Ten subjects with PD (PG) and ten control subjects (CG) were submitted to a clinical evaluation and a gait kinematic evaluation. The PG presented larger stride duration, stance and swing phase durations and smaller stride length, speed, cadence and joint range of motion than CG. The intra and interlimb coordination do not differ significantly between groups. These results indicate that the PG presented spatial-temporal variables and joint range of motion alterations but it was able to adapt to the limitations imposed by the disease and accomplish a functional gait, without undermine the intra and interlimb coordination pattern. The purpose of the Study II was to assess the effects of treadmill walking training with additional body load on the quality of life, motor functions and gait of subjects with PD. Nine subjects with idiopathic PD, in moderate stage, participed in this study. The training program was divided into three phases: treadmill training with additional body load (A1), control condition (conventional physical therapy group) (B) and treadmill training with load again (A2). Each phase lasted six weeks. Both evaluations and training were performed during on-phase of the medication cycle. The results showed an improvement in total score, and mobility, activities of daily life and cognition subscores related to quality of life and an improvement in the motor functions. Significant increase in propulsive forces, stride length, speed, and maximum hip extension during stance were also observed after the training program. In conclusion, the treadmill training with additional body load promoted an improvement in different aspects related to quality of life and in important variables for the maintenance of the functional gait of subjects with PD, and it is a promising alternative to optimize the rehabilitation process in combination with conventional physical therapy.

The need for new and useful compounds to provide assistance and relief in all aspects of human condition is ever-growing. Drug resistance in bacteria, the appearance of life-threatening viruses, and the increase in the incidence of fungal infections in the world s population all underscore our inadequacy to cope with these medical problems. Endophytic microorganisms that colonize internal tissues of plants without causing any negative effects are relatively unstudied as potential sources of novel natural products for medical and commercial exploitation. The Streptomycetes provide nearly 80% of all the world s antibiotics produced. The aim of this work was to investigate the Brazilian tropical savannah tree Solanum lycocarpum St. Hill (Lobeira) in São Carlos, in order to isolate the endophytic microorganisms associated with the plant, separating and purifying the bioactives substances produced by the endophytic microorganism. The bioactivity of S. tubercidicus against pathogenic microorganisms was analyzed. The obtained results point out the antagonistic potential of the endophytic isolated against microorganisms of interest in Public Health. The brute extract fresh produced by S. tubercidicus RND-C it presented antimicrobial potential maximum of 200 UA.mL-1 against Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 after 48 h of cultivation; The bioactive substances produced by S. tubercidicus were submitted to different thermal and enzymatic treatments and pH variation to be determined the nature of the bioactive compounds. After it being submitted to enzymatic treatment with amylase and pepsin, the concentrated extract stayed bioactive, suggesting the lipidic and no-prothein nature of the bioactive substances. Already the active compounds against E. coli suggests the presence of a substance of glycidic and lipidic nature, due to resistance to the action of the enzyme invertase and lipase, respectively, suggesting that the substances contained in the brute extract of S. tubercidicus RND-C against E.coli can be a ´glycolipid. The concentrated extract stayed active biologically when exposed to lower (-20 and -80 ºC) and high (100 and 121 ºC) temperatures, suggesting that the bioactive compounds produced are not subject to spontaneous degradation. The extract stayed active against E. coli in acidity conditions (pH, 2,0 - 5,0) and it also presented bioactivity in pH 7,0 and 8,0. In conditions of high alkalinity (pH 9,0) bioactivity was not detected. Already against S. aureus, the extract stayed assets in the strip of pH 7,0. In conditions of acidity and alkalinity the bioactive substances produced by S. tubercidicus were inactivated. The molar mass of the substances was esteemed in minor than 3,0KDa. The bioactive molecules contained in the concentrated extract produced by S. tubercidicus RNC-C were purified and separated by bio monitoring analyzes, suggesting the presence of two different substances. The evaluation of the separation using a hight performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), suggests the existence of two different substances produced by S. tubercidicus, one being active against S. aureus and the other one active against E.coli and S. aureus. In the separation by using reverse-phase chromatography (Sep-Pak), were obtained four fractions (St. 1, St. 2, St. 3 and St. 4). The fractions St. 2 and St. 4 presented antimicrobial activity against bacteria and they were purified separately by Sephadex LH-20 Gel permeation chromatography obtaining the fractions St. 2-A; St. 2- B; St. 4-A and St. 4-B. The fractions St. 2-B was activity against S. aureus. Already the fractions St. 4-B was activity against S. aureus and E. coli. These results suggest the presence of two different substances. This work intends to contribute for understanding the interactions of endophitic and plants besides opening new perspectives on the biotechnological potential of the endophitics microorganisms of plants. The investigation of new composed assets biologically starting from microorganisms brings important contributions for the discovery of new drugs.

This study aimed at analyzing both the contributions and limitations of a distance learning professional development program based on the knowledge of educators, taking inclusive education policy into account. The Program for Educating Teacher Educators was entirely developed using a distance learning mode, in a specific virtual learning environment that was designed for that purpose at the Teachers Portal of UFSCar (http://www.portaldosprofessores.ufscar.br) and was addressed to educators of teachers who work in the initial years of elementary school. The investigation was based on a constructive-collaborative model of researchintervention that stimulates collaboration among participants in a non-hierarchical relation which promotes partnership process and mutual learning. The analyzed data were produced by 16 participants during eight months of intervention. Generally they resulted from both individual and group activities performed in the virtual environment and in the respective teaching institutions. The adopted theoretical background comprises learning to teach, teacher education, teacher educators' education, inclusive education, and distance education via Internet. The results indicate that teacher educators increased their knowledge basis to work with teachers in the perspective of inclusive education. The content of such learning is related to the own acting as teacher educators in the school context, inclusive education and teacher education to encourage learning of all students. As for the specific content knowledge, the activities were related to learning how to educate and be an educator and to inclusive education, going through meanings, practices and legislation. As for the pedagogical content knowledge, it was observed that the learning occurred in different levels, evincing distinct ways of working as an educator in the perspective of inclusive education. This learning arises especially from constant support and assistance, close relation with teacher educators practice, possibilities of intervention in their contexts during this process, characteristics of employed methodology based on reflections about practice, as well as on interaction and discussion with peers. The potentialities and limitations of the implemented proposal are related to the previously mentioned factors and to obstacles in technical support. Besides that, creating space for education is one of the challenges reported by the educators because they are overburdened with administrative tasks and have difficulty performing pedagogical functions, especially supporting and assisting teachers. Considering that learning of teacher educators occurred in two different environments, school and Internet, it is essential that education proposals designed for teacher educators take into account such contexts. The complexity of current schools requires a multiplicity of formats or educational possibilities to learn and it should be considered when creating courses and formulating politics for teacher educators' education. So, it is important to consider the way teacher educators can assist teachers by identifying and eliminating barriers in students learning so that all of them learn effectively. In addition, the founded process must have a background resulting from teacher educators reflection on their practice as well as on their beliefs and concepts which, in turn, if intertwined with their knowledge, can create an inclusive school.

This research aimed to point out and identify the pattern and the rhythm of motor development of a group of healthy Brazilian preterm infants during de first year of corrected age, as well as, to compare these aspects through a healthy Brazilian infant group borned fullterm and with normative data of the instruments used through the Test Infant Motor Performance TIMP and the Alberta Infant Motor Scale AIMS. In this way, two studies were elaborated: in the first study, twelve preterm infants participated, (MD=33,6 GA , ± 1,25) and ten fullterm infants (MD=39,1 GA , ± 0,73). This infants was assessed with the TIMP once a month (0 - 4), in their home environments. The motor performance increased in both groups, verifying the variability in the total scores in all the ages. The preterm group showed rhythm of motor acquisition higher from 0 to 1 than 3 to 4 months (p= 0,016). Based on the results, it was possible to conclude that the healthy preterm infants, with gestational age bigger than 32 weeks, showed a pattern of acquisition of the motor skills similar to the typical infants when related to the sequence, but with an own rhythm of acquisition, which is possible to consider like a variation at the spectrum of normality. At the second study, thirteen preterm infants participated, (MD=33,5 GA weeks, ± 1,33) and fifteen fullterm infants (MD=39,1 GA weeks, ± 0,65). This infants was assessed with the TIMP at 0 4 months and with the AIMS at 6, 9 and 12 months of age, in their home environments. The preterm group showed a superior intermediate score compared to the fullterm group from 6 (p=0,03) to 12 (p=0,006) months. It was evidenced, at the first four months, that there was a higher acquisition through the interval from 2 to 3 months related to the others intervals (1-2 and 2-3 p=0,05; 2-3 and 3-4 p=0,01). At the second semester, the interval from 6 to 9 months showed a bigger acquisition in both groups (preterm, p= 0, 001 and fullterm, p=0,03). Both of them showed inferior performance contrasted to the amounts established by the TIMP at the first month (preterm, p < 0,008 and fullterm, p < 0,001) and only the fullterm group at the second month (p = 0,005). Related to the second semester, the preterm group presented superior amounts compared to the amount of 50% at the AIMS during all the months, meanwhile, only at the 12 month this difference was significant (p= 0,003). The results showed peculiar characteristics related to the rhythm of motor skills acquisition during the first year of corrected age, and the motor development quality, showed at the third month, can be used like an indication to future deficit motors. It is suggested that the interventions should be initiated as soon as possible, in a way that makes possible to benefit from those observed moments a higher predisposition to the acquisition of motor skills (from 2 to 3 and form 6 to 9 months).

The main objective of this study was to investigate the content and structure of Chemistry questions from National High School Exam (ENEM) from 2004 to 2007, seeking to identify if they whether approach or deviate from Science, Technology and Society (STS) curriculum perspective of science education, and the possible relation of competencies and skills required in ENEM s Chemistry questions with the national curriculum proposals. In addition, we sought to examine if ENEM s questions satisfactorily measures skills and competencies needed to promote scientific literacy, according to the STS perspective, at the end of Basic Education. Method was based on documentary analysis of ENEM s questions and technical reports between 2004 and 2007, and through discursive textual analysis of interest material categories have been defined and allowed to infer considering STS focus and official national documents of Chemistry education/teaching similarities and differences proposed and occurred of what would be necessary to learn and how that learned knowledge would be evaluated by the exam at the end of Basic Education. It was observed that theories of ENEM of studied official documents and of STS s assumptions for education have much in common; however, when ENEM puts into practice the exam and the selection of questions to evaluation, there is a discrepancy between what was proposed and what occurred. Overall, it was noted that the skills assessed on most questions are not fully used, that is, what is evaluated is only part of the skill disposed in the question. The problem is not related to, therefore, not to make known or exist a STS relation in the questions, but to the cognitive complexity placed on the theory that in practice is not the case. What we see is a superficial check and, therefore, cognitively speaking, partial of the skill that the question is proposed to evaluate.

This bibliographical and documental research object circunscribes itself to the formation of teachers on duty field, more specificly the one developed in study groups at school. The importance of this subject matter is not recent, due its narrow link between the political reforms and the education of the population. From the sixties on, the Brazilian teachers began to live closer to the idea of permanent education, spread by the International Organization, when the Agreement MEC-USAID was established which obliged the adequacy from our educational politics to the American molds. More recently, our formation politics have followed instructions from UNESCO, organ kept by the Worldwide Bank. Being convinced that it is only possible to search for freedom through knowledge, according to Lukács, it searched to problematize the possibilities of the control of the formation of teachers on duty from themselves beginning from Special Action Projects (Projetos Especiais de Ação - PEAs) developed in a school from the educational net from São Paulo between 1993 and 2007. Aiming to achieve this goal, systematized the evolution of UNESCO s proposal about permanent formation of teachers, the historical records of the formation of teachers on duty in Brazil, the policy of the formation of teachers from Secretaria Municipal de Educação de São Paulo, the origins of PEA and the evolution of the official determinations obout these. Next, it came the problematization of the participation of the teachers in the definition of the PEAs bibliography proposed in the period. In the research project were admitted the hypotheses: a) throughout the last 40 years, it has bee incited the mechanisms of control of the formation of teachers at public school through PEA; b) these mechanisms elements would be associated to impositions of the international capital; c) the gradual rising of the popular call for the education business could make the management of the formation of teachers easier or harder by themselves. The result of the study confirmed these hypotheses and showed the need of deepness of countless unexplored matters in the formation of teachers on duty universe.

The postponement strategy is more and more used by companies with the increasing complexity and variety of products, currently required by the market. In essence, the postponement is used to delay as much as possible the final configuration and/or movement of products and services, until the demand known. In recent years, this subject has attracted attention of scholars and executives in the several countries. Despite the increasing attention to the subject, little is known about is implementation, especially in the Brazilian food industry. Thus, this research attempt to investigate the adoption of the postponement strategy in companies of this sector. The literature review has covered the last 59 years of study on the subject, which resulted in the development of a general conceptual framework for implementing the postponement strategy. In the order to adopt this structure to the food industry, were developed six exploratory case studies in orange juice and fruits processing companies, and tree of them that have a main activity processing of orange juice and other three, the production of tomatoes. In addition to further discussion on the issue and verification of its application in food companies, this works presents two main contributions. The first is to present a general conceptual framework for implementation of postponement, which can and should be suitable for different industry sectors. The second is the adequacy of this conceptual framework for using in food companies, specifically orange juice and fruits processing companies, and the presentation of information that provide subsidies for adoption, consolidation and evaluation of postponement in the companies.

Identification technologies such as Radio Frequency Identification RFID and barcode are used in traceability systems. RFID is a promising identification and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for traceability systems. It can be widely used on various products to control information from the beginning of the process until they reach the ultimate consumer. The objective of this study is to propose a method to evaluate identification technologies, especially RFID, in agro industrial chains and apply it to the beef cattle chain traceability systems. The research methodology used was a qualitative case study using interviews. The evaluation method provided a clear and wide view of the use of RFID in the cattle chain including importance and barriers. The results indicated some RFID advantages such as quickness in the traceability process, information accuracy, and more information stored in the tags among others. The RFID has some disadvantages such as: high costs; absence of international standard for labels; complex integration of this system; consumer privacy; and technical aspects such as broad band limitations for data transmission. In addition, the case studies revealed resistance against the use of RFID.

Porcelain tile is a type of ceramic tile which has shown the highest worldwide expansion in recent years due to the excellent technical and esthetic qualities of the product, which have augmented the possibilities of its use in a wide variety of applications. Among the various types of porcelain tiles today, polished porcelain tile stands out because consumers greatly appreciate the esthetic effect of its characteristically high gloss. However, polishing exposes part of the material s closed pores and facilitates the impregnation of dirt when the product is in use, which may compromise one of its most important properties, i.e., stain resistance. Staining of polished porcelain tile does not depend only on the occurrence of closed pores on the surface of the product but also on other characteristics such as the size and morphology of the pores. This research work aimed to investigate the characteristics of the pores that most contribute to staining and to ascertain how processing variables act in the formation of the material s porous microstructure. The methodology employed to deal with the theme differs from that of other works reported in the literature, since it is based on the characterization of porosity throughout all the stages of processing (green compact to end product) and on a systematic study of several process variables responsible for pore formation (granulometric distribution and particle size distribution). The main experimental techniques used in the development of this study were scanning electron microscopy, digital optical microscopy, image analysis (software), mercury porosimetry, diffuse reflectance spectrophotometry, X-ray sedimentometry, helium gas pycnometry, and mechanical profilometry. In addition to achieving the initial objectives, the results indicated several viable alternatives for reducing the staining tendency of polished porcelain tile.

Deafblindness is a single impairment that brings implications in the development of the person, and communication is the main issue as well as the fact that it is necessary a specific intervention so that the person with deafblindness can acquire language. It is important that the families receive proper orientation about how to deal with his or her child. Several studies in this area confirm the benefits of intervention programs in the family dynamics. However, there are few studies in Brazil, so an exploratory and comparative research was found to be necessary. The studies about family and deafblindness focus either on the needs and expectations of the families or on intervention programs. This study has had the goal to analyze forms of communication between caregivers and children and compare with the level of participation of the child in the family, divided into two groups: a) children who were still not in a specialized program and b) children who already attended in a specialized program in deafblindness. Each group was formed by three dyads (mother or primary caregiver and child). The following instruments were used to collect data: the Home Environment Resources Scale (RAF); a protocol of observation; PAVII-PAN (Parents and Visually Impaired Infants); and documents analysis. The interviews were taped or recorded on video and the data analysis categorized into the following: a) documents; b) data obtained from RAF; c) description of the direct observations and films; d)data obtained from PAVII-PAN. A triangulation to interpret the data was performed. The results show that the children in the group that already attend specialized programs have more concrete and symbolic communication skills while the children from the other group make use of basically corporal communication, with a limited use of functions for immediate needs and protest. As final considerations one can infer that even the families who do not use an effective communication try to include the child in the activities that the whole family take part, but still the same children cannot yet enjoy entirely of such interactions and inclusion because they cannot express more than what is immediate, and also for a possible lack of total understanding of what happens around him or her. Programs of public policies are recommended to provide social and emotional support and the systematization of interventives programs using tools that will make possible the collaboration between family and professionals in order to improve the quality of life of the children with deafblindness in Brazil.

The objective of this study was to apprehend the experience of members of a solidary group of production of recycled paper, Recriart, in incubation process in partnership with Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS) and the Incubator of Popular Cooperatives Incoop of Universidade Federal de São Carlos. We also contextualized the group formation and operation ruled by the Solidary Economy principles. A number of 31 CAPS users from the municipal district take part in this enterprise which has been producing and commercializing products on recycled paper since 2006. It s a qualitative research that uses the theoretical reference of the Psychiatric Reform and Solidary Economy, and the methodological reference of content analysis, thematic category. The contextualization of the enterprise was accomplished through several sources of data. To apprehend the users experience we performed semi-structured interviews with 16 members of the group. All ethical care was taken. From the analysis of the interviews six thematic categories appeared: 1. Being a positive experience attributing meanings to the work in the enterprise; 2. Differentiating the work in Recriart from the previous ones from the capitalist organization to a new condition and organization of work; 3. Finding facilities and difficulties in the work of Recriart; 4. Enjoying the work in Recriart and identifying preferences; 5. Projecting the future of the enterprise expecting its growth and the members satisfaction; 6. Recognizing and thanking the support of the incubation team. The listening to the experience indicated that taking part of the enterprise makes several positive aspects possible for the members life. First of all, returning to work and, consequently, everything it means to the human being: learning, growth, maturing, mental health promotion, human development, autonomy and social and material exchanges. The solidary economy principles have shown to be pertinent to the social inclusion by the work in mental health, which reflects on the several facilities pointed out by the users, among them, the non existence of the boss and the cooperation. However, they also reported difficulties related to the production and commercialization of the products, relationships in the group, as well as to the working conditions that imply the need for improvements. Regarding to the improvements, the interviewed pointed out the need for an income raise and larger support by the incubation professionals/technicians and by public organs. In such a way, and according to the users, we suggest that this support should be made possible through the enlargement/strengthening of public policies that promote and encourage this kind of initiative on the field of mental health. This way, enterprises of that nature can reach their full development and integration with the net of solidary economy, building a more inclusive and solidary society.
