listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Os efeitos do Biosilicato® e do laser terapêutico de baixa potência no processo de consolidação em tíbias de ratos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-21) Oliveira, Poliani de; Renno, Ana Claudia Muniz; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4106611304688552; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9130418327532327Fractures of delayed consolidation and fractures with non-union are commonly found in medical practice and are associated with high morbidity and mortality. Within this context, biochemical and biophysical resource have been studied in an attempt enhance bone healing. Among these may be highlighted the use of bioactive materials and low level laser therapy (LLLT). Several studies suggest that both resources are able to stimulate proliferation of osteoblasts and osteogenesis at the fracture site, promoting a greater deposition of bone mass and accelerating the process of consolidation. So the main purpose of the present work was to evaluate the effects of low-intensity laser (λ = 830nm), with fluencies of 60J/cm² and 120J/cm² and a bioactive ceramic, Biosilicato®, used alone or associated on bone consolidation of the tibial fractures in healthy rats. For the study 60 male Wistar rats were randomly divided in 6 groups: group bone defect control (GCF); group bone defect irradiated with LLLT, at 60 J/cm2 (GL60); group bone defect irradiated with LLLT, at 120 J/cm2 (GL120); group bone defect filled with Biosilicate® (GB); group bone defect filled with Biosilicate® , irradiated with LLLT, at 60 J/cm2 (GB60); and group bone defect filled with Biosilicate®, irradiated with LLLT, at 120 J/cm2 (GB120). A low-energy GaAlAs 830nm, CW, 100 mW, 60 and 120 J.cm² was used in this study. The rats were anesthetized by intraperitoneal injection of ketamine and xylazine 2% and a standardized 2.0-mm-diameter bone defect was created by using a motorized drill under copious irrigation with saline solution. Laser irradiation was initiated immediately after the surgery procedure and it was performed every 48 h for 14 days. After 14 day post-surgery, biomechanical analysis revealed no statistical differences between experimental groups. However, the morphological and morphometric analysis showed that the laser, in the two fluencies evaluated showed values statistically higher than control group and the Biosilicate®. Interestingly, the groups treated with Biosilicate® and laser, in two fluencies, showed statistically lower values of newly formed bone in the area of the defect even when compared with the control group. The scanning electron microscopy showed an intense presence of the biomaterial in bone defects of their animals. From the results obtained in this study, we concluded that the low-intensity laser was more effective in the process of bone repair when compared with biomaterial or the two resources associated.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A relação entre a tecnologia da informação e comunicação e a competitividade: estudo em empresas do pólo calçadista de Jaú/SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-21) Zem lopes, Aparecida Maria; Hoffmann, Wanda Aparecida Machado; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7609135667093837; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6123540746643830Jaú´s region, in the center of the State of São Paulo, is home for a group of companies specialized in the production of women shoes. They are industries, studios or backstitch stands, raw material suppliers, machines and equipments, for the whole productive chain of the shoes industries, including the tanneries, responsible for the supply of the main raw material used: the leather. This structure allows the denomination of this area as Local Cluster, where several players, from public and private sectors, articulate themselves together seeking increase in productivity and competitiveness in the market sector. To best use these arrangements and to increase their efficiency of their actions, it is necessary the use of information and communication technologies that can optimize their processes and information flows, improving their competitiveness. In this context, this exploratory and descriptive research aimed to identify the paper of the Information and Communication Technology and its influence on the competitiveness of these companies based on some indicators like design, quality of the products, flexibility of the production, human resources, infrastructure and others. The collection of data was accomplished through interviews with the managers of a sample of these companies, using the interview instrument elaborated this research, following the appropriate ethical precepts. The results of the interviews indicated a disagreement on forms of management by the accounted companies, which leads to only 10% of them taking part on the Local Cluster. The remaining ones not only do not participate in the cluster, but also show no interest in getting involved in larger events, such as local, regional or national trade fairs, important for the competitiveness of these companies. It is critical for the survival and growth of the cluster a larger awareness of the importance of the junction of efforts by the companies, through a greater fulfillment of meetings, so that they may share problems and solutions and start seeing each other as partners, not rivals. The results obtained will be disseminated to companies and players in the region with a view to supporting the development of the Local Cluster.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Resistência à mudança de atitude preconceituosa racial avaliada pelo paradigma de equivalência de estímulos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-21) Carvalho, Marilia Pinheiro de; Rose, Julio Cesar Coelho de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3386857761295187; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3427705550471990Behavioral analysts have used the equivalence class paradigm to investigate and explain the processes involved in the formation and modification of social attitudes. From this perspective, attitudes are defined as equivalence classes established between social groups and certain attributes, with the classes specifying the psychological function of the social group for members of the verbal community. Following this line of research, the present study investigated attitude change by means of the reversal of the equivalence class relating black men to negative symbols. In two versions of the procedure, two pre-tests were conducted involving C-A and A-C relations in order to assess the association made by the participants between pictures of black men and the aforementioned negative symbols. Next, the participants were exposed to a conditional discrimination task with delay, a task in which they were taught the relations A-B (between a positive stimulus and an abstract picture) and B-C (between the abstract picture and pictures of black men). Post-tests assessed whether training had induced the emergence of a new relation between the figures of black men and positive symbols, which emergence would suggest a change of attitude and a reversal of the initial equivalence class exposed during the pre-test. Results showed that, for three of the five participants, the equivalence class relating pictures of black men to positive symbols did not emerge, which suggests resistance to revert the class relating black men to negative symbols. It seems that responses typical of natural settings generalized to the experimental situation, making responding in the latter case insensitive to the arranged reinforcement contingencies. The results are discussed in terms of the extension of the stimulus equivalence paradigm to cases in which the equivalence class comprises stimuli loaded with pre-experimental meaning.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Adolescentes em medidas sócio-educativas: saúde mental, auto-estima, suporte social e estilos parentais(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-21) Silva, Maria Denise Pessoa; Matsukura, Thelma Simões; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6954184079563032According to researchers, adolescence has been considered a risk age group for various mental health problems, such as: depression, behavioral problems and substance abuse. However, only a few Brazilian studies investigate mental health problems among young offenders, although the international literature agrees on the fact that juvenile offenders suffer from various mental health problems. Besides mental health, studies indicate that self-esteem, social support and parenting can also affect adolescents behavior and development. The aim of the present study was to identify the profile of male young offenders in treatment and also to identify correlations between levels of mental health, self-esteem, social support and parenting and correlations between these elements and other profile variables, such as age, education levels, substance abuse, among others. Another objective was to identify the adolescents perception of themselves, their difficulties and positive characteristics, their help resources and plans for their future. Fifty adolescents took part in the study. They answered a semi-structured interview and completed the following instruments: Identification Questionnnaire; Young Offenders Profile; Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Social Support Appraisals, Parenting Inventory and Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire. The scores were calculated according to each instrument. The Pearson Correlation Coefficient was used to identify possible correlations between the scores of these instruments and the Pearson Correlation Coefficient was used to verify possible correlations between the scores of the instruments and the adolescents profile variables. The interview analysis has been carried out through the Content Analysis. The main results indicated that most of the adolescents have low education levels and use marijuana, besides having friends who also use drugs. High selfesteem levels could be observed in this sample. Besides, it was possible to verify that levels of education, social support from teachers and positive parenting might be protection factors against vulnerable behavior, once it was possible to identify negative correlation between social support from teachers and use of cocaine and negative correlations between positive monitoring and recidivism and alcohol abuse, which indicates that the more the adolescents parents perform positive parenting, the lower the recidivism and alcohol abuse levels. We expect that this study can contribute to the planning and implementation of public actions aiming the treatment of young offenders.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Influência do custo da produção no fluxo de caixa de obras de edificações(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2009-12-21) Minari Junior, Carlos Francisco; Serra, Sheyla Mara Baptista; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8528385567782505; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8599576701700242In the context of construction companies, in general, planning is understood as the task of generating a plan and not as a management process. In most cases, the control is focused on management contracts, than in production. Also, note that these companies do not specify the manner in which they can develop and implement systems for planning and production control. Therefore, in order to assist in the understanding of production management, as well as the cost data, this paper deals with the reflection of Integrated Planning and Control the Cost of Production with the cash flow of the work from the budget pre-prepared and information regarding the process in this phase. Based on financial projections, or outflow of funds in cash flow are obtained parameters for administration of the work. We studied three construction companies that use different strategies and administrative management tools. This paper proposes the end the generic representation of the flow of information relating to the process studied. Thus, this analysis constitutes a contribution can provide agility, formality and support the decision-making to managers.
