listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Avifauna de matas ciliares do Rio Batalha e adjacências, região centro-oeste do estado de São Paulo, Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2011-03-09) Lucindo, Anderson da Silva; Dias Filho, Manoel Martins; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1346547036069954; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6460519003571580Forest fragmentation and habitat loss in tropical regions are implicated for different organisms responses, with special attention to avian species susceptible to disturbance. They react negatively in the face of changes in their habitats, reducing population size. In this scenario, the riparian forests play an important role as refuge for many species of birds. This study aimed to survey the avifauna of two riparian forests belonging to the Batalha River, West-central region of the state of São Paulo. The birds were described according to their composition, guild structures, degree of dependence on forest quality and level of sensitively to disturbances. Altogether, the census methods applied across the paths and point counts revealed a total of 162 bird species distributed in 48 families and 21 orders, among which 98 were forests, 14 endemic to other kind of vegetation, 3 endangered, 8 near threatened 32 abundant residents and various insectivorous specialists. These results testify the important contribution of riparian forests of west-central of São Paulo state in the conservation of local birds that are sensitive to the fragmentation.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo sobre a síntese de zeólitas sodalíticas utilizando planejamento de experimentos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2011-03-09) Sousa, Diana Nara Ribeiro de; Cardoso, Dilson; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2462847535959232; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2286561845933226Through the synthesis conditions used were possible to exploit different variables in order to obtain different zeolitic structures, whose main were those formed from sodalitics units (LTA and FAU). From clear solutions containing water, tetramethylammonium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, tetraethyl orthosilicate and the aluminum isopropoxide, different combinations of these reagents in molar compositions were made and obtained zeolites with structure LTA, phase mixture LTA and FAU, FAU, GIS (NaP1). In the first design, the structure LTA pure was obtained with a high degree of crystallinity in 50% of the experiments, the other 50% were obtained materials with low crystallinity (amorphous). The most important synthesis variables to obtain the structure LTA were the content of template and crystallization temperature. In other design, the results included mixtures of phases LTA and FAU, pure FAU and GIS (NaP1) and yet many of the experiments with the presence of material with low crystallinity. Using how response the ratio between the intensities of diffraction peaks related to the LTA and FAU structures, it was observed that the most significant variables to obtain the zeolite FAU were water content, the template content, the sodium content, crystallization time and aging time. FAU structure pure can be obtained when the ratio Na2O/Al2O3 is fixed at 0.06 to particular conditions of the other variables. Thus through the statistical design of experiments could verify the synthesis variables most important for the formation of these two structures.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Avaliando a literatura sobre o sistema presidencialista brasileiro pós 88(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2011-03-09) Silva, Welton Alves da; Diniz, Simone; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9726360676770459; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7955268232595767This dissertation is a revision of the post-1988 Brazilian presidentialism, analyzing the available literature. The surveys point to a conclusion that the Brazilian presidentialism has gained reasonable levels of institutionalization, contradicting many of the criticisms raised about the potential for institutionalization. This establishment was in large measure because the stabilization of the party system that has polarized yourself arround of the seven main parties, improving its internal functioning and the consistent performance in National Congress, thus minimizing the possible effects of high fragmentation and especially becoming able to provide effective support in the executive branch. This, in turn, has taken it upon themselves to use very effectively the powers and mechanisms to its disposal to enforce its agenda of government, becoming away from the conflict between the powers and the feared decisional paralysis, as predicted. Summarizing, despite his apparent problems in the post-1988, in the Brazilian presidentialism prevails an important democratic character that certainly keep the process of institutionalization of the country.
