Four university students were asked to identify major, minor and seventh chords. After hearing the sounds, they were reinforced for choosing the right image, which were either the chords guitar charts or the words MAIOR , MENOR and SÉTIMA (major, minor and seventh in Portuguese). After the training, the relation between words and charts was tested, and then, a generalization test took place in order to verify the identification of unheard chords. After this test, a new training was conducted with chords from a different root note. New equivalence tests were added, involving the different charts trained. Then, there a new generalization test was carried out, followed by the last training phase and the last testing phase. The participants generalized the trained discriminations to untrained stimuli, with an increasing score as they advanced through the procedure. However, some participants weren t able to achieve the criterion score in the more complex training sessions. These participants performed the equivalence tests, and their score was significantly lower than expected, failing to replicate prior results, and suggesting a link between difficulty in training and equivalence classes formation.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Usinas, colônias e famílias: trajetórias de trabalhadores em uma usina de açúcar (1960-1990)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2011-07-01) Prado, Marcos Lazaro; Lima, Jacob Carlos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9244132532446607; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4740045670366444ABSTRACT The management of the workforce takes different configurations. According with specific historical and social contexts, we observe the emergence of different orderings in which the relation between capital and labor is increased beyond the conditions stated objective. We analyzed one of these contexts in a traditional sugar mill and ethanol in the region of Ribeirao Preto, state of São Paulo, between the 1960 and 1990. Originated from a farm that was once the second largest producer of coffee, this plant has retained many features of that period as the provision of housing of old "colonies" and the management of patrimonial work, reconciled with elements of rationalization of production and work. The approach allows us to assert that conjuncture the existence of an effective link between the traditional and modern forms, which established relationships between plant owners and residents. So specifically, we found a set of counterparts given by the company families of residents, with regard not only to housing but also the entry and growth within the frameworks of these hierarchical the company. Through the company's historical reconstruction and recovery the trajectories of the families who resided in their homes, discuss this model, its intrinsic characteristics, as well as the conditions that led to his disappearance on account of restructuring production in the 1990.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Método de resolução de deadlocks no controle de produção de sistemas de manufatura automatizados utilizando redes de Petri coloridas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2011-07-01) Souza, Wesley Willy Oliveira de; Kato, Edilson Reis Rodrigues; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8517698122676145; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8311856533532872Resources sharing is one of the main characteristics of Automated Manufacturing Systems (SMA), this characteristic can be a synonym of advantages but on the other hand it may lead to the problem of deadlock. Several papers have suggested methods and techniques to reduce or eliminate the occurrence of deadlocks in SMA systems. The deadlock resolution strategies suggested in the literature can be classified into the following types: deadlock detection and recovery, deadlock prevention and deadlock avoidance. This work proposes a resolution method for the control of automated manufacturing systems using colored Petri nets, the main goal of the proposed method is to provide a deadlock-free production controller. To model, simulate and implement the technique in a production controller a dedicated software is used to model the Petri Nets. Initially, a model using Colored Petri Nets is proposed, then changes in the model are introduced in order to eliminate the deadlocks, resulting in a Colored Petri net control model of the SMA. Finally the model is implemented in the scenario of a Flexible Manufacturing System for testing and validation of the method.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O videoclipe brasileiro pelo viés do Manguebeat : a contribuição do diretor(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2011-07-01) Duarte, Fernanda Carolina Armando; Monzani, Josette Maria Alves de Souza; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0505156751073470; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9861129119892170This research aims to salvage and registry a media still rarely studied in Brazil, because this was almost always seen as a smaller media, or just a branch of the commercial video, and the study of the director's role within this work. The role of music video director, unlike film director, is several times relegated to the background or ignored by the media and public, linking directly to the band's work, forgetting that there is an author. Still, several years ago, the video has acquired a higher status with the evolution of their language and able to unite the art trade, in order to make the band portrayed retains its personality and work of the director can show his signature in the work, and be received extremely positive, especially for youth. Leveraging the Manguebeat is a broad movement that proposes the development through dialogue with the traditions and diversity, based on Brazilian culture, we believe appropriate to talk of the music video with Brazil against the backdrop of this universe. For this, we intend to study the work of two directors: Raul Machado and Gringo Cardia, as well as the historical and ideological implications of the movement Manguebeat, and from this analysis, to confront the vision of each of the directors before the movement, through the look that they portrayed in their music videos Manguetown (Gringo Cardia - 1996) and Maracatu Atômico (Raul Machado - 1996), performing a thorough analysis of the works, and compare them to some impressive music videos of the time.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Do acordo à reforma ortográfica: a emergência de uma fórmula?(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2011-07-01) Gibin, Fernando Curtti; Baronas, Roberto Leiser; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4613001301744682; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2951925118571459The aim of this research, based on the French Discourse Analysis theoretical and methodological approach, is analyzing discursively how Folha de S. Paulo (a Brazilian newspaper of significant circulation) narratively published the Portuguese Language Orthographic Agreement of 1990, which came into force in January 1st, 2009. As temporal outline, we established the period from January 1st, 2008 (a year before the effective coming into force of the agreement among the Portuguese language countries) to January 1st, 2010 (a year after it comes into force). Our main purpose is understanding during this period how the verbal sequence acordo ortográfico (spelling agreement), when it slides to reforma ortográfica (spelling reform), can be understood as a formula: an object which is describable in language categories and whose destiny at the same time invasive and continuously questioned inside the public discourses is determined by language practices and by the state of opinion and power relations in a specific moment in the very heart of the public space. (Krieg-Planque, 2009, p. 14). In other words, we have the objective of verifying on this paper during this established period how this syntagm reforma ortográfica, even though it is formally stable in the point of view of the linguistic description and explanation, is performed by the medium work in the public space discourses as a sequence both shared and problematic, knowing a discursive regime that makes it a formula.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Seletividade alimentar e produção secundária de alevinos de peixes neotropicais alimentados com Dendrocephalus brasiliensis (Pesta, 1921) e outras espécies zooplanctônicas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2011-07-01) Silva, Ricardo Augusto Custodio da; Melão, Maria da Graça Gama; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8342306603661310; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8019751585385627The hatchery is now the main obstacle of aquaculture. The live food, especially zooplankton, is essential in early life stages of fish. However, there are difficulties in obtaining enough biomass. The Anostraca Dendrocephalus brasiliensis, known as branconeta, has great potential of use in national aquaculture. In this study, it was performed experiments of food selectivity and secondary production with fingerlings of matrinxã (Brycon cephalus) and pintado-da-amazônia, a hybrid between Pseudoplatystoma corruscans and Leiarius marmoratus, using D. brasiliensis and other species of zooplankton as food. Food selectivity results were evaluated using the Ivlev selectivity index and the coefficient of food Paloheimo. For both species, the indexes of the juveniles indicated a preference by D. brasiliensis in comparison to zooplankton. Secondary production values were better when matrinxã was fed with Artemia plus artificial food; there was no significant difference to fish fed with branconeta. For pintado-da-amazônia, the highest production was obtained from branconeta treatment. So, the selectivity for D. brasiliensis is positive, once it was accepted by both species, without rejection. The results allow us to assert that the use of D. brasiliensis is suitable for the cultivation of both species.
