However, in view of environmental, cultural, social and economic factors, the community decided, in the late 1990s, to perform a management in specific areas aiming the forest restoration. With strict control of fire and not planting any seedlings, they began to handle some pasture lands to allow natural regeneration. Thus, the present study analyzes the process of forest restoration in the Laranjinha Indigenous Land, trying to understand the different aspects involved. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to raise information, as well as incursions into the restored areas to identify their stages of ecological succession and some key species. The ArcGIS software was used for mapping and conducting a quantitative analysis of the classified areas. Currently, the Indigenous Land is at an intermediate stage of environmental adequacy. After a 15-year period, there was an increase of almost 10 times in its forest cover: from 10.6 hectares (3.6% of the total area) to 101.9 hectares (35% of the total area). The technical conditions at poultry farms were assessed based on protocol requirements oriented towards animal welfare (Laywel, Welfare Quality®, Globalgap) and organic production (Regulatory Instruction 46/2011/Ministry of Agriculture, Cattle-Raising and Supply). Through semistructured interviews the perception and level of information on the subject, as well as the difficulties found by the production process agents were assessed. By crossing information gathered at the interviews and from WF evaluation at poultry farms, some technical gaps in organic handling and implementation of WF-enhancing practices were found. As regards the WF concept, all agents find it relevant within their own universe of comprehension and values (ethical, sanitary and economic). At poultry farms with over 5000 hens, the WF conditions are satisfactory, supported by technical assistance, good facilities and financial conditions for investment. Poultry farms with up to 2000 hens, in turn, show poor infrastructure and handling, face financial restraints and lack technical assistance, thereby putting WF at risk. It can be seen that the consistency between the agents´ views and actual WF practices is directly linked to knowledge of the subject. Where there are gaps in this knowledge the impact on WF and sanitary, nutritional and environmental weaknesses cannot be recognized or measured. Training of these production sector´s agents in concepts and practices capable of covering the full scope (ethical, sanitary and viii economic) of WF is proposed, so that the solutions and adjustments for WF problems can be discussed and implemented on a sound knowledge basis. As for consumers of organic products, the results of interviews show lack of information on WF. Also in this case, working on people´s awareness and education on the subject is suggested. This is because well informed and capable of distinguishing and valuing the various production systems, consumers and society as a whole can make differentiated consumption decisions aimed at improving husbandry methods.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Utilização de farinha de polpa de manga como fonte de carboidratos na ração de tambaqui “Colossoma macropomum” e avaliação sensorial de hambúrguer da polpa de peixe, elaborado com farinha de manga(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2012-11-30) Bezerra, Katia Santos; Melo, José Fernando Bibiano; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3763200072246495; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1612364632314901The study evaluated the growth of tambaqui, Colossoma macropomum with the inclusion of different concentrations of flour in the feed mango (20, 30, 40 and 50%) and reduction of protein (38, 33, 28 and 23%). To conduct the study, we used 240 fish in 12 separate lots, with four treatments and three repetitions each, delineated entirely random. The average weight was 5.21 g, 5.24 g, 5.19 g and 4.99 g respectively. The experiment lasted 56 days, biometrics being held regularly. Diets were fed daily and the fish were fed ad libitum. Were analyzed in relation to the performance of the following variables: specific growth rate TCE (%), biomass gain (GB), feed conversion rate (FCR), survival analysis, metabolic profile and activity of digestive enzyme. Burger tambaqui was prepared with flour adding mango concentrations: 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20% with subsequent sensory analysis. The statistic used was ANOVA, Tukey test at 5% and polynomial regression. To evaluate the sensory analysis was calculated referring to the overall quality attributes such as appearance, color, flavor, odor and texture. The performance variables showed a significant effect, with superior results with the highest concentration in the rations of flour, sleeves and lower protein. The final average weight was R20: 8.65 g; R30: 8.81 g; R40: 8.68 g; R50: 11.39 g. From the analysis of the metabolic profiles of glucose, hepatic glycogen, amino acids and total cholesterol was noted that no mobilization of metabolites to maintain the energy in the processes for fish growth. It is concluded that the best performance of tambaquis occurs with the inclusion of 50% flour and sleeve 23% protein. The metabolic profile of the fish is positively affected by protein replacement meal by mango. This study aims to analyze the marketing characteristics of franchises produced by major media conglomerates. In intend to do so, notes and appointments are made on the Star Wars film franchise, referred to as a kind of genesis for the franchise business model that the entertainment industry practices today. Star Wars created a paradigm in the production process of the Hollywood studios, combining filmic creativity with product marketing practices for disclosure and especially the development of strategic marketing licensing and merchandising of products that carry its brand. To achieve such goal, an extension course was set to teach physical concepts, especially those in the field of Mechanics, from Astronomy to high school and graduation students. The material covers such concepts as Referential, Gravitational Field, Kepler Laws, Newton Laws, Evolution of Universe Conception Models, Mass Centre and others. At the end, some results about the application of this material are shown, as well as the possibilities and difficulties found by its application. From the second half of the twentieth century, in answer to the depletion of mass production system, lean production system comes at Toyota, the company localized in Japan. This production model has the main characteristics like wastes reduction, quality continuous improvement, work processes flexibility, team building, besides others aspects that provided the answer to the market request. Several scholars defect lean production as the production model capable that provides a better work environment for the workers, with better organization and a professional qualification increase. Other theorists, however, consider lean production as a new model of work intensification, with practices that, although they advocate the qualification increase, lean production increases the work rhythm and the work responsibility. This dissertation aims to confront this theorical duality existing among the lean production scholars in the literature with a case study on the workers perception about the adoption of the lean production tools in a metalworking company. As a result of this case study, the workers indicate positive and negative effects. The positive effects show the work improvement with the chance to learn new functions (multifunctionality), the introduction of new technologies, the possibility to learn knowledge of new production techniques, a work organization rearrangement, a better sector organization (5S Program), the possibility of participating in kaizen (factory), and the change in the physical work environment (the transformation of the cell layout). The negative effects mentioned were these: the increased of the workload, the work rhythm and work pressure, they generated by the new organization, the withdrawal of some intervals of work, lack of wage increases. Some suggestions are left for companies that will adopt the tools of lean production, that will contribute to the success of this adoption: to introduce new concepts, you need to add the workers since the beginning of the process, so they can participate better in the process; you need to elucidate with clarity and transparency the objectives of each change, and what is expected of each employee, because many of them can consider the lean production as something negative because they don´t know the lean production goals and consequences.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise da paisagem e dinâmicas territoriais na bacia hidrográfica do Rio Pardo (RS)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2012-11-30) Marques, Ana Flávia; Santos, José Eduardo dos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8533387365058570; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5544207460715619The watershed river region that makes up the landscape of the Pardo s watershed has characteristics that make it interesting for the application of landscape studies, since, over the centuries, has been undergoing significant transformations physicalenvironmental and socio-territorial resulting in periods of high participation in the economy of Rio Grande do Sul and even the country (XVIII century), followed by a period of stagnation, beginning in the XIX century and extends to the contemporary. At the dawn of the XXI century, this region faces new challenges of environmental and territorial nature, which materialize in the monoculture of rice, the beef cattle industry and the possibility of reopening the port. The research reported here a historical part of which is to present the specific construction of the state territory - construction that is strongly linked to the city that gives its name to watershed studied - Rio Pardo. This approach aims to highlight how the landscape shapes and reacts to development options or how the rationality of capital ownership and is responsible for the production of space. The methodological procedures, based geospatial allowed the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the landscape for the time interval of twenty-two years, which allowed the physical characterization of the river basin (thematic maps of the drainage network, clinografia, and uses hipsometria land for the years 1989, 2000 and 2011) as well as the use of indices for understanding the changes that have shaped the landscape over the years - fragmentation and urbanity. The results indicate that the story and the speed of the process of deforestation associated with the expansion of agriculture, livestock and forestry are considerably modifying the dynamics of the forest or seminatural vegetation remaining in the landscape Pardo s watershed, and such processes are rarely accompanied appropriate conservation strategies. The condition of the remaining natural vegetation Pardo s watershed factors before direct and indirect pressure has to be especially problematic from the standpoint of conservation in the face of evidence of loss of natural landscape. Although the loss of the fragments of natural vegetation in the period from 1989 to 2011, with the replacement of these systems changed by man, is negligible, there is no evidence of the continuation of this trend. With the continued anthropogenic processes the primary question is directed to define the size of the area of natural vegetation in each municipality, inserted within the limits of the Pardo s watershed, which can be converted (changed) for human use, in relation to the condition minimum natural landscape ensured by the existence of functional natural ecosystems. That is, what areas/fragments should be preserved or restored strategically to be reduced pressures on the remaining biodiversity in a given region Pardo s watershed, with the expectation that they are reinstated or provided goods and ecosystem services provided to welfare human. Was conducted in the period from january to June 2011 and driven at the center of agricultural sciences of UFSCar, municipality of Araras - SP (Latitude 22° 2125 South and a Longitude 47° 2303 West), in an experimental area Red-yellow latosol, a Glebe of 1344m ², outlined by 24 plots, entered into four block design with six treatments each, composed of crotalaria (Crotalaria spectabilis); millet (Pennisetum glaucum) and velvet bean (Mucuna aterrima) black plus with organic compound. The plots used for each treatment were 8, 0 m x 7 m (57.2 m2), and the spacing between plots within each block were of 3.0 metres. The solo collection for analysis comprised on the layer of 0 to 20 cm depth. The insects were captured every two weeks, through the pitfalls of type "pitfall", which remained at fixed points within each block, during the development of the live cover and mulch. We collected a total of 17595 individuals distributed in 8 orders, 62 families. Formicidae was the family of dominant insects during the vegetatives stadium of green manures and after its management in soil with mulch. Among the insects, predators, decomposers dispersers and herbivores, the treatments that were grown three different species of green manures presented higher diversity of insects. The use of organic compound in planting green manures not influence on productivity of the same, however, the rate of decomposition of mulch was less over 45 days.
