Item type:Item, Estudo teórico computacional de suspensões coloidais de nanopartículas em solventes orgânicos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-12) ;Guedes Sobrinho, Diego ;Moura, André Farias de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/0746428641961163https://lattes.cnpq.br/6029239473962141In this work, were studied nanoparticles colloidal systems ZrO2 were using coarse grained models in order to observe the influence of the interaction potential between nanoparticles and the solvents in the system coloidal structure at chemical equilibrium. The molecular dynamics (MD) method was applied to propagate the system trajectories from an optimized initial structure. The interaction energy values allowed the evaluate of which systems reached the colloidal stability and which converged to aggregates with different morphologies just by self-organization mechanisms. The analysis based of the radial distribution function allowed us to relating the nanoparticles superficial faces with the morphologies of aggregates for the correlations peak positions. The radial pair distribution plots and the average of interaction energy determined the interaction potential effect of the solvent in the colloidal systems structure at equilibrium. The colloidal stability was favored when the interaction potential of nanoparticles was equivalent to the interaction potential of the solvent, i.e., almost attractive nanoparticles in almost attractive solvent and attractive nanoparticles in attractive solvents. In other hand, the variation of solvent s interaction potential, using almost attractive nanoparticles in attractive solvent and attractive nanoparticles in almost attractive solvent, leaded systems to form nanoparticles aggregates with different morphologies, depending on the interaction between nanoparticles. Almost attractive nanoparticles formed a nanobunch, whereas attractive nanoparticles formed a nanorod. Gibbs energy of the nanoparticles aggregation process in each system was calculated, which indicated concordance between the thermodynamic of the aggregation process or of colloidal stabilization and the equilibrium systems obtained by molecular dynamic.Item type:Item, Histórias de vida na periferia : juventudes e seus entrecruzamentos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-14) ;Bardi, Giovanna ;Malfitano, Ana Paula Serrata ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1462870858750395https://lattes.cnpq.br/0297419505928490The drug issue today has been represented by an alarming debate characterized by the disqualification of many people who use those substances. The discussion, commonly, is focused on problematizations around a poor youth, on which there is an imbued approach by lack, by criminalization or by the concentration of attention on fighting products, losing sight of the sociocultural details of their uses. From a perspective contrary to the simplistic association between poor youngsters and drug use, it was aimed to know the life histories of young residents of a medium-sized city in the interior of Sao Paulo, Sao Carlos (SP), who use illicit drugs and consider that they need assistance in this using, seeking to identify their personal and social networks, formal and informal, that this population has accessed for assistance regarding such use, or even networks that are imposed into their lives. As a methodological resource, it was performed a monitoring of two young participants from previous activities of projects connected to the University coming from teaching, research and extension nature, resuming previously established contacts and following them up for a period of one year through an ethnographic analysis of field data, achieved through the immersion in their daily lives and the writing of field diaries to reflect on that reality. We also sought to access the agents cited by youngsters as present on their networks, to conduct semi-structured interviews with them. At last categories of analysis to be discussed were raised, according to the theoretical and methodological assumptions of Social Occupational Therapy, Sociology and Anthropology. The results showed the importance of these networks in the aid facing difficult situations due to the use of drugs, especially those from informal nature. We emphasize the aid granted to the people belonging to religious temples however this was not found to be related to attachment to divinities, a fact that puts in check speeches about the "salvation" of drug users by faith. Networks of formal stamp showed "just" in the modalities of admission via therapeutic community and containment through a regional police station. Thus recognizing that the study of networks can point out to potential ways of approach to the drug phenomenon, we hope to contribute with assumptions for the formulation of more consistent with reality public policies, which can effectively act as social supports in the life of those youngsters.Item type:Item, A análise de quadrinhos japoneses sob a ótica de Bakhtin: o mangá como material de referência para a cultura japonesa(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-14) ;Mussarelli, Felipe ;Miotello, Valdemir ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9131819326282708https://lattes.cnpq.br/3032726744078784This paper seeks to find in manga (japonese comic books) published in Brazil, references to pop and popular culture of Japan that adds to them encyclopedic features. Assumptions initially depart from recent studies in science, technology and society (STS) that seeks to launch new looks for science and research, indicating that they can be carried in places and through different means. We will seek aid in theories of russian philosopher Mikhail Bakhtin about the studies on the speech genres, trying to find what is peculiar to the manga compared to other forms of comics, and the studies of dialogism, aimed at finding the different voices in the creation of manga and Japanese manga published in Brazil. Through these theoretical and methodological precepts of Bakhtin and studies in science, technology and society, we expect to find in manga published in Brazil, originally published from 2000, and then selecting those whose narratives are closer to everyday topics and or historical elements of its constitution as generic themes, imagery and verbal statements, footnotes, glossaries information in, suggesting references to japonese popular culture and pop. We expect this research to contribute to studies on the manifestations of language as well as studies on STS related mainly in cultural communication.Item type:Item, Estudo teórico-experimental de ligação viga-pilar com consolo metálico embutido em estruturas pré-moldadas de concreto(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-14) ;Bachega, Luís Augusto ;Ferreira, Marcelo de Araújo ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/4199122391532470https://lattes.cnpq.br/5748675324090365This study aimed to analyze the structural behavior of a beam-column connection with embedded steel member for precast concrete with no current use still in Brazil. Based on the literature review about hidden corbels found in international technical references, a type of hidden corbel with embedded steel section (so called billet) was selected for this research. Although there are many different analytical models for the design of the billet within the available technical literature, the focus of this research was on the revised models found in the most recent design manuals PCI (2010) and FIB (2011). In addition to the analytical study an experimental investigation was conducted, wherein isolated column members with billet corbels were tested primarily to a full scale test of a sub-frame with two beams six meters long and with a central column assembled in cruciform shape. For the isolated model, named PI Model (Isolated steel corbel), the behavior of the steel corbel and its interaction with the column were evaluated. For the full scale test, named LI Model (connection zone model), the behavior of the connection zone and the behavior of the beam were studied interacting together. For both the theoretical and the experimental studies, the selected billet consisted of a rectangular hollow section of 200 mm x 100 mm x 10 mm in height, width and thickness, respectively. For the PI Model test, the billet showed a rigid behavior and it was capable of resist an applied load of 700 kN with no damage within the concrete of the column. For the case of LI Model, the experimental study analyzed the behavior of the whole connection zone, comprising both the steel corbel and the end of the beam near the corbel. For this case, the connection behaved as rigid until the applied shear force at the connection reached between 239,5 kN and 238,3 kN, for which the flexural stiffness of the connection acted as rigid, with fixity factors of 1.0 and 0.96, for the left and right connections, respectively. The failure of the model occurred at the cast in place topping of the composite beam when the shear force reached 473.5 kN. The comparison between the experimental results with the theoretical values demonstrated that the isolate billet showed compatible resistance with the expected but that the region of the beam top end showed premature failure due to lack of reinforcement in the region of the end of the beam. It is believed that this effect occurred because of the fact that the detailing followed from studies conducted in the UK is suitable for hinged connections while the connection analyzed in this research comprised of continuous negative reinforcing bars passing through the columns within the cast in place topping of the composite precast beam. Finally, this study presents further recommendations for improvements of the reinforcement detailing of the precast beam.Item type:Item, Processo comunicacional familiar no contexto do câncer infantil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-15) ;Borges, Amanda Aparecida ;Dupas, Gisellehttps://lattes.cnpq.br/9461883918498554Childhood cancer is a chronic disease of permanent and long lasting. It is a condition considered rare, when compared to adults, representing 0.5% to 3% of malignant tumors. When it affects the household, their routine undergoes significant changes, either by hospitalization or treatment process. In the redimensioning the family to meet the needs of child care, family members still encounter the difficult task of establishing communication with the child about his disease, requiring the reflection and support facility to cope with the disease. This manner, the present study aimed to know how to the family communicates with the child about cancer. This is a qualitative study, directed by symbolic interactionism as theoretical reference and thematic content analysis as a methodological reference. The data were collected through semi-structure interviews with families of children with cancer, who were in treatment for at least three months in a health care institution in the state of Minas Gerais. The analysis of data emerged from dynamically interconnected themes and categories, which concluded that family to establish communication with the child about his disease adopts a protectionist language. The disease stigma associated with informational support that the family receives health professionals and members of the family, makes the child's family choose words to give meaning to change in routine. This manner, the family, to dialogue with the child, no pervades the severity of the disease. The interaction that occurs in the subsystem and system family provides an extra subsidy that directly interferes with the meanings attributed by families and affect their actions. Even without exposing the disease severity , the family does not fail to show for the child the need to perform treatment for their rehabilitation, makes it so that the child collaborate during the procedures. The family believes that the transmission of messages of overcoming and optimism helps the child to overcome the disease.Item type:Item, Em casa, na pista ou na escola é tanto babado: espaços de sociabilidade de jovens travestis(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-15) ;Monzeli, Gustavo Artur ;Lopes, Roseli Esquerdo ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1507752191797249https://lattes.cnpq.br/0110941841939417The aim of this study was to understand, from the experience of four young people who at some point in research called themselves transvestites , residing in São Carlos (SP), the main techniques and strategies used by them for the management and manipulation of their own characteristics regarding their body, subjectivity and identity, in order to participate in certain spaces of sociability, focusing on family contexts, formal education institutions and also prostitution. The work has been organized into four sections. Initially, it introduces an historical debate and academic production about the topic related to gender and sexuality, then it addresses entrance to the search field, from ethnographic contributions and, finally, to contextualize the territories where the research took place. The second section considers the multiplicity of ways to consider and to construct signs of what is considered feminine in bodies assigned as male. Additionally, it presents the history of each interlocutor of this research, trying to point out their unique experiences in these body, subjective and identity building processes. In the third section, we discuss the different techniques and strategies used by them to participate in different contexts such as family, school and prostitution, and how these relations are built depending on the persons involved, as well as their interests and desires. And lastly, contextualizes the propositions of social occupational therapy and its possible implications in everyday life of the individuals in their territories belonging, pointing out how the circulation of these young people in their territories have repercussions on the levels of insertion and restriction, allowing or not their existences in different spaces. It is believed that this dissertation contributes, beyond the multiplicity of forms of construction and understanding bodies, subjectivities and transvestites identities, with a dialogue among the possible links between social occupational therapy and circulation of individuals in their territories belonging.Item type:Item, A avaliação de língua inglesa no ENEM : efeitos de seu impacto social no contexto escolar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-15) ;Blanco, Juliana ;Paula, Sandra Regina Buttros Gattolin de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9228036521343293https://lattes.cnpq.br/5956499257075926During all life we test and are tested, in many contexts and situations and with many purposes. (MCNAMARA, 2000) One of the most famous tests is the educational one, which can be internal, prepared and applied by the teacher of the subject, or can be external, designed by an expert and applied to students. About external tests, nowadays, in Brazil we have Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (ENEM). This exam was first applied in 1998 with performance function, to evaluate students at the end of basic education. In 2010, ENEM was changed and one of the changes was the insertion of English language test. The English test part is composed of five multiple choice questions of text comprehension. At this moment, ENEM became a high stake exam in Brazilian context due to its multiple functions: entrance exam, or part of it, in federal universities; way of selection for private universities; and it also continued to be a performance test. As a consequence, the number of people applying the exam grew, and in 2012 it was taken by more than five millions of people. Thus, according to Scaramucci (2010), this exam tends to have consequences in English teaching and learning and in people‟s lives. Therefore, our focus in this study is on the insertion of the English test in ENEM and its implications, which can be positive or negative about English and its subject. It is important to consider the importance of knowing the English language nowadays, because of its hegemony in the world, due to political and social importance of countries where it is spoken. (RAJAGOPALAN, 2010) By this way, this dissertation has the objective of presenting a master research whose focus is discovering and analyzing the social initial impact caused by the insertion of English in the exam, by data collected among students and teachers, all of them involved with studying or preparing students for the exam. This study is qualitative, without testing ready hypothesis, but intending to find out what students and teachers think about ENEM and, mainly, about the English language. The participants of this research project are students and teachers of the last year of high school and from a preparatory course for entrance exam. All of them took ENEM in 2011. Data was collected using questionnaires and interviews with students and teachers of one school and one preparatory course in a city of São Paulo state. An initial impact could be evidenced from data analysis, showing the exam relevance to society and to Language education at regular schools. However, even though the English test in ENEM has been recently applied to students, some consequences are notable and considerable. The analysis showed both external and internal classroom consequences and the opinion of people involved with the exam about ENEM English questions mainly. We believe that the impact will be more evident in some years when the exam is effectively established and teachers are familiar with its format and its constructItem type:Item, Validação do diagnóstico de enfermagem: eliminação urinária prejudicada com foco em lactentes(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-15) ;Miranda, Francine Ramos de ;Napoleão, Anamaria Alves ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8539664594837249https://lattes.cnpq.br/3618401386584520It is known that the observation of the urinary elimination of child in routine pediatric clinic helps identify human responses and thereby prevent complications present and future. It can be inferred that the analysis of the nurse on the urinary elimination of child and accuracy in the preparation of nursing diagnoses (ND) is of fundamental importance. With respect to Impaired Urinary Elimination (IUE) NANDA- I, Inc, it may be identified the possibility of gaps, especially for infants with disorders urinary elimination, insofar as this population has particulars on how exhibit this problem. Thus, this study was aimed at making the concept analysis, validation by experts and observation of the proposed Impaired Urinary Elimination DE by NANDA- I, Inc. This is a descriptive study of validation of nursing diagnoses, based on the model proposed by Hoskins, but with adaptations. For the development of the concept analysis was performed a literature review in the databases LILACS, PubMed, CINAHL, and Cochrane Library, trying to select studies that founding the concept analysis based on the model of Walker and Avant, which proposes an investigation of the basic elements of an concept developed in eight steps. It were eligible 25 studies to conduct the concept analysis . To perform the analysis of all elements of diagnosis, it were also consulted 2 books of Pediatric Urology, 2 books on human physiology and 2 dictionaries of medical terms. The validation was performed by experts based on validation by consensus, which is a process whereby it is obtained the opinion or agreement between the author and a group of at least three experts. Interview was also conducted with 10 accounted for infants with urinary changes regarding the presence of the defining characteristics identified in concept analysis. As a result of CA it was identified that the concept was used IUE more frequently by medicine and its specialties and in a quantity less expressive by nursing. The defining attributes identified were: fever, urinary retention, weak urinary stream, inconsolable crying, crying during urination, irritability, hematuria, fetid urine, dysuria perception by parents and urination drip, among others. Among the antecedents identified are: urinary tract dilatation, hydronephrosis, genitourinary malformations, pyelonephritis, obstructive uropathy, urinary tract infection, vesicoureteral reflux, among others. The main effects were: weight loss, renal failure, acute renal parenchyma, growth deficiency and decreased renal function. From the data of CA it were suggested changes in wording of dysuria and DC including new DC. The proposed amendments after AC were analyzed by 10 experts. For selection and scoring of the experts it was used the scale proposed by Fehring in which the experts must reach at least 5 points. Of the 10 selected expert, 60% achieved a score of 5 to 7 points and 40% reached a score of 10 to 14 points. As a result of this step, among the DC proposed by NANDA I, Inc, it were validated urinary retention and dysuria . It was proposed a new wording for dysuria defining characteristic, namely, dysuria (in infants, crying when urinating or reporting parental perception of dysuria in infants). From the new proposed DC it were validated hematuria, fetid urine, anuria, oliguria, irritability and fever. It have also been suggested new DC by the experts. Regarding Factors Related (FR), from those proposed by NANDA-I, Inc just FR multiple causes has not been validated. The clinical stage was composed of a sample of 10 infants, 5 boys and 5 girls, 40% aged 1-3 months, 20% at age 5-7 months and 40% at age 8 to 12 months. The most part of medical diagnoses found was that of Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). The DC found most frequently were: fever (80%), crying during urination (60%), strain during urination (60%) and oliguria (50%). The results can contribute to improving the care of infants presenting dysfunction in the elimination of urine, leading to appropriate interventions in this population and promoting a safe care by seeking satisfactory results.Item type:Item, Produção de etanol anidro por destilação extrativa utilizando soluções salinas e glicerol(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-15) ;Matugi, Karina ;Giordano, Roberto de Camposhttps://lattes.cnpq.br/1949956462300165An alternative of renewable fuel is the anhydrous ethanol from biomass. Its production has to aim the minimum consumption of hydric and energetic resources. The bottleneck of the process is located in the downstream that requires technological development with thermodynamics reasoning. This master s degree seeks to address this aspect by studying the dehydration of ethanol by extractive distillation making use of liquid solvent glycerol, salts of potassium acetate and calcium chloride, or both kinds of resources. These resources, called separation agents, can "break" the barrier of azeotropy and have advantages such as no top product contamination and lower energy consumption. The rectification column plus the conventional dehydration system are replaced by a single extractive distillation column which is itself the rectification column, adding the separating agents in the reflux stream. The simulation is performed in steady state using a rigorous model for calculating the column. For non-electrolytic systems UNIFAC model was used, and for systems involving electrolytes UNIFAC model with the addition of the Debye-Hückel term and UNIFAC-Dortmund model. Maximum values for the mean of absolute deviations of temperature and of ethanol molar fraction in vapor phase were 5,51 K and 0,0646 respectively. Though, it was observed that the deviations were higher in the region of least ethanol concentration. The simulation of extractive column with glycerol converged generating anhydrous ethanol following the specification, being a proof of the concept that the application of the proposed process was successful. The simulation of the saline extractive distillation presented difficulties of convergence which will need to be studied in future works.Item type:Item, Desenvolvimento de kit didático para reprodução tátil de imagens visuais de livros de física do ensino médio(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-15) ;Torres, Josiane Pereira ;Mendes, Enicéia Gonçalveshttps://lattes.cnpq.br/8280180476421117Item type:Item, Efeitos da prática da ioga no controle postural e bem estar de trabalhadores(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-18) ;Santos, Kleber Luís Silva dos ;Costa, Paula Hentschel Lobo da ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9083349298690934https://lattes.cnpq.br/3068885986032475Workers quality of life is a very important aspect to be considered by both health professionals and executives and the Yoga practice can contribute in this context. Therefore the aim of this study is to identify the effects of a Yoga intervention program onpostural control and well-being of healthy workers. The effects of Yoga on different physical and mental health conditions werereviewed in the first part of thisstudy. Then an experimental study was conducted with twenty-four healthy workers from the same company as volunteers. Two groups were distinguished, one as experimental group, which engaged in a program of 16 Yoga classes (each class with 60 minutes of duration) at the company twice a week, and the other as control group. The effects of Yoga practice were evaluated through the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire and Work & Well-Being Survey Questionnaire (UWES 17) . The degree of postural stability was evaluated by a force plate and the center of pressure was the studied variable. After the intervention only the experimental group showed significantly improvements in musculoskeletal conditions and working engagement. Additionally significantly lower oscillation areas and center of pressure mean velocities were observed only for the experimental group. We conclude that the Yoga practice has improved musculoskeletal complaints and wellness in the workplace, as well as the sensory integration of the healthy workers.Item type:Item, Atividades estimuladoras de leitura e escrita em estudantes com síndrome de Down(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-18) ;Comin, Bruna Cristina ;Costa, Maria da Piedade Resende dahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/1276899160434101Literature presents that students with Down Syndrome (DS) learn to write and read in a slower pace than students without the disability. From these considerations, the present work considers the following question: to what extent the proposition and application of stimulator activities of the reading and writing, based on Emília Ferreiro theory, about the four levels of writing develops and enhances the knowledge of a young DS group? To answer this question, the present study was divided into two stages. In Stage one the goal was to conduct a survey of Dissertations, Theses and Articles (national and international) concerning the DS thematic, focusing on reading, writing and literacy in the period from 2001 to 2011. Bibliographic research was used. The tools used for search were: Portal Capes, SciELo, Google Scholar e Journal Portal Capes. In short, the life sciences showed a large concentration of Dissertations, Theses and Articles in Biological area, followed by the Humanities. In Stage two the goals was to investigate the acquisition of reading and writing of a young DS group from a specialized institution, checking on what level of writing and reading it was. The case study had six young DS participants, being two of the male gender and four of the female. Fictitious names were used to preserve their identity. The tools used for the research were: notes of interventions; document of activities developed on week; document of students attendance; Test of the 4 words and one phrase ; An adapted test from a new magazine (Test of reading); Literacy Pre-syllabic Program; Literacy Syllabic Program; and Literacy Syllabic-alphabetic Program. The materials used were assembled to provide functional support for the proposed activities. After prior approval by the Ethics Committee, the data collection was done thought three testes and a number of intervention sessions. The data was qualitatively analyzed for the identification of an evolution (or not) in writing and reading of the students. A quantitative analysis was also done trough a compilation of data about the reading aptitude of students who were in syllabic and syllabic-alphabetic level. Results were divided in three parts: writing of the name; writing of four words and a phrase; and textual reading. Fabiana regarding the writing of the name passed from syllabic level to syllabic-alphabetic; regarding the writing of four words and a phrase passed too from syllabic level to syllabic-alphabetic; regarding textual reading passed from 20% to 51% of reading units present inside the text. Raquel regarding the writing of the name and regarding the writing of four words and a phrase stayed on pre-syllabic level, showing improvement in her fine motor skills; regarding textual reading she started to identify letters A, I, O U. Lucas regarding the writing of the name and regarding the writing of four words and a phrase stayed on pre-syllabic level, but began to write down the letter A; regarding textual reading the student didn t identify any letter. Talita regarding the writing of the name passed from syllabic-alphabetic level to alphabetic; regarding the writing of four words and a phrase stayed on pre-syllabic level (initially presenting differentiation between words , with posterior differentiation between words and letters ); regarding textual reading started to recognize letter E, besides further the others that she already knew. Ricardo regarding the writing of the name and regarding of writing of four words and a phrase keep on pre-syllabic level, starting to write letter A and I; regarding textual reading on the first test identified letter A and on the final test the letters A, E, I, O and U. Rose regarding the writing of the name stayed on alphabetic level; regarding the writing of four words and a phrase passed syllabic-alphabetic level to alphabetic level; regarding textual reading improved from 51,1% to 64% the reading of the units presents inside the text. To summarize, the structure activities helped the young DS students to improve their reading and writing, given that stimulating activities of reading and writing were always concrete and/or adapted. Therefore, the students learned.Item type:Item, Parâmetros sociocognitivos de construção de instrumento de representação temática da informação de áreas técnico-científicas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-18) ;Oliveira, Greissi Gomes ;Boccato, Vera Regina Casarihttps://lattes.cnpq.br/1647452433090400Information retrieval systems for information retrieval can occur through the search by author name, title of the work, by text words and through the theme or subject of a work. For accuracy in information search by subject, it becomes essential to use structured languages, called indexing languages, which are instruments with a view to enabling represent the contents of the collection. Thus, the theme of our research is to identify construction parameters of an instrument subject representation for information retrieval by subject in units of scientific and technical information (USTI). In this study, the units of scientific and technical information correspond to the libraries of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo. Our research problem is characterized by the absence of social cognitive parameters for the construction of an instrument of representation of thematic information of technical and scientific areas. Identify proposed construction parameters of an instrument of thematic representation of information on the technical and scientific literature in the area of Knowledge Representation and Organization in the context of social cognitive librarian and user and the prospect of the units of scientific and technical information feds. Our overall objective was to present parameters for the construction of social cognitive instrument thematic representation of information techno-scientific areas. The specific objectives were: 1. identify the interdisciplinary Science, Technology and Society, Information Science, with emphasis on the Organization of Knowledge and Cognitive Science, to establish a collaborative dialogue in building a tool for thematic representation of information 2. present on the documentary languages, viewed as representation language for subject areas of technical and scientific information retrieval systems; 3. identify methods of construction of alphabetical indexing languages, given the technical and scientific literature in the area of Knowledge Representation and Organization in Information Science, 4. describe the context of social cognitive librarian and user units of scientific and technical information feds 5. the views of librarians and users of information units on federal technical-scientific parameters in the collaborative construction of an instrument subject representation in Science, Technology and Education, from the application of verbal protocol viewed as a qualitative methodology with sociocognitive approach. Our research is justified by the need for an indexing language for representation and retrieval of information in units of scientific and technical information to enable the correct representation of information by librarians in indexing activity and access to information for users seeking quality and specificity in recovery the information. As methodology we conducted bibliographic research on thematic Science, Technology, Society, Information Science, Cognitive Science, Knowledge Organization, Documentary Languages, Intelligence Units, Thesaurus, Federal Institute of Education. Subsequently, we apply the Protocol Verbal Group (PVG), knowing opinions of librarians and users on indicators for the construction of the instrument. The results were analyzed from grants acquired by literature accompanied by statements of participants and enabled PVG Eleven parameters indicate the collaborative construction of an instrument subject representation: 1. characterization of the user profile (target) that will make use of language learners and teachers of upper-level courses and medium 2. terms must serve the needs of representation and retrieval of information (guarantees and literary usage) 3. terms must originate in natural language and specialty (fair usage and literary) 4. terms should represent the vocabulary usage of the organization (organizational guarantee) 5. language must have both generic and specific terms; 6. language should promote control of synonyms; 7. language must identify the homonymous accordance with the use of qualifiers 8. establishment of logical-semantic relationships between terms of orders hierarchical, associative and equivalency; 9. inclusion of terms of scope notes when needed; 10. assignment of terms must be contemplating the balance between comprehensiveness and specificity achieved by the information retrieval system; 11. identification / building information retrieval system (catalog) that includes also factors such as being available online, offering reservation services online and renewal; allow viewing of information such as: cover, table of contents, introduction and full text materials contained in the collection of USTI; possess and to enable a feature suggestion terms, the timing of the search, both to fix the search expression as for the storage of subjects / search terms. This feature is important in terms of collection, aimed at updating process of language also from the user's perspective; provide and ensure accessibility of the language so that the librarian can realize the representation of information with it and from it, and allow available the accessibility of the language so that the user can perform a search by subject, for recovering useful information with it and from it. We believe that the diversity of the public pointed verbal protocols with respect to factors such as age, level of education (knowledge) and different areas of expertise, which makes us think and recommend to the IFSP USTI the construction and use of an indexing language with vocabulary arising from natural language and specialty (as in a thesaurus) but with the logical structure semantics between terms / headers from a list of subject headings, covering scope also notes that become necessary.Item type:Item, Adição de fósforo (P) em catalisadores NiMo, suportados em γ-Al2O3, Al2O3/TiO2 e TiO2 - efeito na hidrodessulfurização do tiofeno(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-18) ;Zanotello, Tatiane Cristina ;Urquieta-González, Ernesto Antonio ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9838089928289115http://lattes.cnpq.br/2389975677904655Mo, NiMo or NiMoP HDS catalysts were supported on Al2O3, Al2O3-TiO2 or TiO2. These supports were synthesized via sol-gel and in the case o TiO2 it was used a commercial sample. The active phases were introduced by impregnation. Supports and catalysts in the oxide form were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), diffuse reflectance UV-Vis spectroscopy (DRSUV-Vis), thermogravimetric analyses (TG), temperature-programmed reduction with H2 (TPR-H2), N2 adsorption/desorption, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), temperature-programmed desorption of NH3 (TPD-NH3), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and evaluated at 300°C in the HDS of thiophene, used as a model molecule. Alumina presented a high specific surface area and meso/macroprous characteristics, allowing a high dispersion of the active phases, as was evidenced by XRD and DRSUV-VIS data. A HRTEM image of a NiMo/Al2O3 catalyst showed the presence of crystalline MoS2 whose activity was substantially promoted by the presence of Ni. The NiMo catalysts were active in the HDS of thiophene, however, the activity was enhanced significantly by the incorporation of P. This result corroborates the positive influence of P in the preparation of HDS catalysts. It was suggested that P must participate as promoter in the formation of the NiMoS phase during the sulfidation process of the Ni and Mo oxides. The supported NiMoP catalysts prepared in this work were more active than a commercial NiMoP/ Al2O3 catalyst, with this result validating the preparation procedures used here. The titania addition in the alumina framework led to NiMo catalysts possessing lower activity. That behavior was attributed to the formation of Ni and Mo sulfides without interaction diminishing the generation NiMoS phase, which is highly active in the HDS of sulfured organic compounds.Item type:Item, O trabalho com o gênero carta de solicitação a partir de sequências didáticas : potencialidades de uma abordagem(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-18) ;Nordi, Cristiane ;Gregolin, Isadora Valencise ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1015869228676997https://lattes.cnpq.br/9031749271012154This research aims to discuss the work with gender request letter in school, from a proposal for intervention, along with a group of sixth grade of elementary school to a public school in São Paulo. The theoretical framework is based on studies of Social Interactionism (Bakhtin, 2000, 2002, Vygotsky, 1989) and specifically in studies arising from Sócio-Discursive Interacionism, didactic in his shed on the use of textual genres in the classroom (Bronckart; Dolz, NOVERRAZ and SCHNEWULY, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007). In order to develop a work that integrates the language practices, which favor the use of language and situated to contribute to the effective development of the students, it was decided methodologically by developing a didactic sequence (SD), as a tool for teaching and data collection for research. Thus, we adopt the perspective of Action Research, finding the qualitative paradigm a viable way for the development of this research-oriented problem solving and / or processing of a given situation. The results achieved with the research showed some potential of SD methodology while working with the language. On the one hand, its use promoted the development of contextualized writing students, and collaborate with the experience of a language teaching situated on the real needs of the learners. Also made to reflect the importance of starting the learning of the grouping of genres argued early so that children can develop all the skills regarding this complex speech genre, and thus ensure a consistent learning that seeks inclusion of students in practices of communicative activities. The approach from Didact Sequence proved to be, in our research, a useful means to identify the strengths and difficulties of students and to better align the work of the teacher in the classroom. Thus, the results demonstrated that the development of Didact Sequence was productive and viable in our research context, made possible because the teacher work formal content (spelling, verbal inflection) and textual production while, in addition, the most important, that was to make students understand the social function of gender letter of request. Finally, but not least, the elaboration of didactic model and the very fact that the SD characterized as action research enabled us apropriássemos of theories relevant to teacher education, which led us to the conclusion that the only change understand and practice when we appropriate theories appropriate to the social nature of language.Item type:Item, Programa de capacitação de cuidadores para o ensino de habilidades ocupacionais a adultos com deficiência intelectual(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-18) ;Silveira, Analice Dutra ;Almeida, Maria Améliahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/8493007070928885The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of a teaching program for home caregivers of adults with intellectual disabilities who needed general support for teaching occupational skills to these adults. A multiple probe design was used. The study included three adults with intellectual disabilities, with ages ranging from 21 to 31 years, and 10 caregivers, with ages ranging from 19 to 78 years old. The study was divided into three phases. Phase I consisted of gathering information from caregivers to prepare the training program. Phase II sought to implement and evaluate the effects of the training program with caregivers. Phase III examined the effects of the intervention and a possible generalization of skills learned by participants in other environments. The training program was conducted in two phases that occurred simultaneously; theoretical training and practical training. In the theoretical training, it was presented to caregivers some theoretical frameworks that could assist them in teaching skills to adults with intellectual disabilities. In practical training the caregivers behaviors were modeled to favor learning skills by adults with intellectual disabilities. The results indicated that caregivers through systematic guidance were able to teach new behaviors to adults with intellectual disabilities in the context of daily activities. Moreover, the data suggest that adults with intellectual disabilities were also able to learn the behaviors necessary to perform the daily activities when appropriate teaching strategies were used.Item type:Item, Relação educação ciência, tecnologia e sociedade e elaboração de programas de ensino(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-18) ;Mezzacappa, Gabriela Gonzales ;Zanin, Mariahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/2231649606018051STS field of study has been developed as a critic to the conditions of scientific and technological development. Within the propositions of this field there is STS education, which proposes another logic for teaching, through scientifictechnological literacy. Teaching programming technology offers adequate instruments for behavioral changing. STS education also proposes a different teaching logic. Grupo de Estudos em Programação de Ensino e Treinamento (Study Group of Teaching and Training Programming), originated at the collective of consumers ConsumoSol (São Carlos/SP/Brazil), elaborated the description of a problem-situation as part of elaborating a teaching programme of ethic, solidary and responsible consumption for children (aged four to six). This study´s objective was to identify relations between strategies, procedures and discussions of the group and the guidelines of STS education. Analysis elements were estabilished related to the aspects: principles of the STS field (e. g. "Non-linear relations between science, technology and society"), guidelines of scientific-technological literacy (e. g. "Promotion of democracy and participation in STS" and "Problematization of STS at various educative contexts"), challenges and difficulties of the STS education (e. g. "Capacitation of educators" and "Use of scientific language with lay public") and contributions of scientific-technological literacy (e. g. "Educating critic and responsible citizens"). Data were collected using documents, participation of the researcher in the group and audio records. They were systematized in a fluxogram, in which it was possible to identify elements of the four analysis aspects; part of them was related to specific events of the process of elaborating the problemsituation description (such as "Interdisciplinarity", "Promotion of critic to social reality", "Capacitation of educators" and "Use of apprentices´ context informations") and part was identified during the process (such as "Non-linear relations between science, technology and society", "Promotion of democracy and participation in STS", "Integration of interdisciplinary contents" and "Education of critic and responsible citizens"). Some elements were not identified (e. g. "Unveiling of miths of S&T" and "Diversity of theorical and methodological conceptions ). Most part of the elements were related to specific aspects of the process, indicating the potential of using teaching programming technology at group context as an instrument for STS education. Data analysis showed convergences between STS education and the process of describing a problem-situation. New studies may probe the comprehension of these relations and replicate the procedures for data description and analysis, which can be useful for studies at the STS education field.Item type:Item, Simulação de sistemas de coordenação de ordens em ambiente de produção flow shop(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-18) ;Bachega, Stella Jacyszyn ;Godinho Filho, Moacir ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6136685270563354https://lattes.cnpq.br/6057931770645811Systems for Coordination of Orders (SCO) are information systems involved in all or some of the following Production Planning and Control (PPC) activities: to schedule or organise material requirements, and/or to control the production and purchasing orders release, and/or to schedule jobs on machines. The SCO can be applied in production environments as flow shop, job shop and cellular manufacturing. This research aims to compare the systems for coordination of orders kanban, CONWIP and TBC (kanban-CONWIP) in a real case that has as a flow shop production environment and propose a mind map with features that help in choosing the SCO. To accomplish this goal, we used the theoretical and conceptual research method, the experimental method, via computer simulation, and a case study in an automotive company. Among the main results for the company studied, it was observed that, in a global analysis, the TBC and kanban proved better than the CONWIP and the push system (current company situation). As to the main results of the analysis of pull systems in various scenarios, in most of these, the CONWIP and TBC were present as a generator of higher throughput and TBC and kanban had the lowest values of WIP. Another point to be noted is that the kanban performed better regarding WIP and/or throughput in scenarios with high coefficients of variation in arrival and processing times, greater variety of items and with the presence of bottlenecks in the line. The aid to the choosing procedure for the most appropriate SCO in management practice is among the contributions of this work. As for the literature of production management, this thesis originates important information for the area of PPC and supports the accomplishment of future research on this topic.Item type:Item, Construção de vocabulário controlado multilíngue : um estudo de possibilidades no contexto da garantia cultural e pela perspectiva da terminologia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-18) ;Biscalchin, RicardoBoccato, Vera Regina CasariIdentifies parameters for building multilingual controlled vocabularies of union catalogs of university libraries in the cultural context of the cultural warranty, compared to theoretical and methodological assumptions of Terminology and interdisciplinary field of Knowledge Representation and Organization. Therefore, it has been the aim of contributing to the dissemination of scientific knowledge and visibility nationally and internationally, through the use of multilingual controlled vocabulary, allowing the search and retrieval of information in different geographies and cultures to generate new knowledge applicable to the welfare of society, allowing equal representation and retrieval of information in the most distinct languages and cultures. The universe of this research are the information units, focusing on university libraries. The methodology consisted of a theoretical study on the identification and selection of parameters for building multilingual controlled vocabularies before the theoretical areas of Information Science, with emphasis on ensuring cultural and of the Terminology, through dialogue with the field of translation. As a result, we have established fourteen parameters for building multilingual controlled vocabularies that include respect for minorities and cultural differences and terminology present in different languages, among others aspects It is concluded that the establishment of parameters for building multilingual controlled vocabularies in the context of the cultural warranty and the perspective of Terminology contributes to the thematic representation information from culturally terms consistent among the different languages that compose it.Item type:Item, Tradições traduzidas: um estudo psicossocial sobre as memórias sociais dos moradores da comunidade do Marujá - Parque Estadual da Ilha do Cardoso(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-02-18) ;Alvaides, Natalia Kerche ;Scopinho, Rosemeire Aparecida ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/4770451465556845https://lattes.cnpq.br/9390983479020447The failure to consider the existence of traditional communities in the implementation of protected areas has created serious social problems, causing the reorganization of their lifestyles and therefore change in the identity of the residents. The general objective of this research is based on the relationship between memory and identity, to analyze how elements of social memory of the residents of the community of Marujá − State Park of Ilha do Cardoso São Paulo Brazil dialogue with the political and administrative guidelines in the process of reconstructing their identities. Our intention is to identify changes in administrative policy guidelines, comparing the different editions of the management plan, as well as analyzing the performance of the committee to support management; rebuild community social memories and expectations experienced today; identify the influence of experiences passed on certain cultural and economic spheres of everyday life of the subject, and to analyze the relationship that is established between the social memory of the local population and the politicaladministrative guidelines currently proposed. Information was obtained through bibliographical and documental analysis, pre-interviews and interviews which combined oral reports of life histories and exploratory questions. The information was recorded, transcribed and analyzed to constitute categories: memories of place, memories of work and memories of resistance that allowed us to understand the relation between relationship between memory, political and amministrative guidelines and identity in the community of the conservation area mentioned. From this analysis, we conclude that social memory serve as an instrument for interpretation of present, producing the 'new' and linking it to the past and relates to the political administrative guidelines to the extent that residents participate democratically in PEIC ´s management and have ensured their permanence by recategorization of some patches of land conservation area in which they live and develop their economic activities. Accordingly, the protected areas would become also places where traditional identity can live and accept the new and thus translate themselves.
