Item type:Item, Representações do consumidor de "fake" nos discursos sobre a moda: a análise do discurso e a construção de identidades(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-05) ;Perez, Leonardo ;Ferreira, Luzmara Curcino ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/4849994635754652https://lattes.cnpq.br/9018734294116803This paper approaches a topic that has been explored with relative frequency in various media and that relates very directly to the logic of media and the marketing production of needs and production of identities: consumption in the world of fashion, fake, ie, counterfeit luxury goods. Our goal is to seize discursive representations of fake consumer products nowadays through the analysis of what is enunciated today about it. Therefore, we formed our analysis corpus with texts from different genres (blogs on the Internet, advertising in print magazines and interviews, etc.) whose thematic content resembles occupy themselves by consumption of fake products, positioning itself in favor or against this practice. Thus, we proceed initially to identify, in these texts, the different discursive positions on the issue, raising arguments against consumption copies and counter-discourses that support all or part of this practice for sometimes political, sometimes economic, sometimes cultural reasons, and sometimes by all of them. We theorically rely in Discourse Analysis derived from the works of Michel Foucault and Michel Pecheux, regarding their approach forms of constitution, formulation and circulation of discourses, and its interface with studies undertaken, among others, by Gilles Lipovetsky and Roland Barthes, which dealt with the analysis of fashion as a social, economic, cultural and semiological, to seek to seize evidence of discursive identity representations consumer anti and pro-fake. We assumed that any society is identifying with speeches that it becomes more evident for several reasons, among them because of its expressive movement. The exploitation by the market of the the aggregate symbolic (culturally and economically produced and manifested by the ability to identify a brand) to the products of the fashion universe is not new. The phenomenon of reproduction of fashion is not new (which to some extent contributes to the success of a brand, since acts as positive publicity). We note that the novelty of our time is the expansion of copies of this phenomenon and the consequent proliferation of discourses about the phenomenon. If on one hand, appears to us very strongly speeches condemning the 'bad taste' to 'criminal offense' for the consumption of copies; on the other hand, and in response to the first, we observe the emergence of discourses that defend, or at least not contrary to the manifest they consider a very peculiar form of ownership. If, for some it is copy, which can, therefore, sentencing, for others we are facing a reinterpretation, in some measure that would refer to an imaginary cannibalistic, which is the Brazilian identity.Item type:Item, Instituições participativas e políticas públicas: uma nova literatura para a agenda de pesquisa(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-05) ;Brasil, Felipe Gonçalves ;Capella, Ana Cláudia Niedhardthttps://lattes.cnpq.br/2390988873671777Starting with the organization of social movements in the late 1960s, crossing the institutionalization of participation in the 1988 Constitution and disemboguing on the recent analysis on the institutional engineering of Participatory Budgeting from the 2000s, the research agenda on participatory institutions in Brazil, not only consolidated on the academic setting as well as is growing and diversifying in the last decades. Aiming to insert the most recent literature of the field of public policy in the studies in of participatory institutions, this dissertation is the union of two major movements: The first intends to redeem the theories of political science that guided the studies strongly about these new centers of popular empowerment. Based on the theories democratic and on the neo-institutionalism, the national literature produced extensive and important material about the extra-parliamentary representation and about the reconfiguration of the relationship between state and society, but also on the effects of institutionalization of participation and about their history and evaluation of its effectiveness. After reviewing the literature and what was produced from it, the second movement advocates the public policies as an epistemological field. Border to the field of political science, is through the explanation of some of his own theories and models of analysis of policy that aims to show new horizons for research agenda about the participatory institutions. Under the assumption that the participatory politics institutionalized in the 1988 Constitution can be understood as public policies, this work aims to show how, integrated, political science theories and models of public policy analysis can produce issues that drive to build a new research agenda of participatory institutions in Brazil.Item type:Item, Um curso de atualização para professores do ciclo I utilizando as novas tecnologias no ensino de matemática(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-05) ;Silva, Juliano Osorio da ;Caetano, Paulo Antônio Silvani ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/0370219014539994https://lattes.cnpq.br/1602935457849270This paper presents the main product as a course of continuing education for the training of teachers of elementary school from the first cycle of Basic Education, entitled "Mathematics for Elementary Education I". The course was focused on math content with the use of information technologies and communication, being structured as a virtual learning environment with activities from a distance. Course participants were teachers who work in classrooms from first to fifth year of elementary school of city system to Barretos / SP. The course structure needed to face meetings were conducted to follow up the first access to the environment, guidance on the course of studies and content. The course was implemented in the Moodle platform for distance education with such activities as forums for interaction and questions, applications and questionnaires. Also available are articles, texts, videos, links and a book chapter. The course sought to address basic math content, always considering the lack of your target audience. Themes like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, with small problems on the tract diversified their operations, ways to make multiplication, studies concepts in geometry, problem solving and relationship studies using arithmetic geometry. Thus we sought to improve and expand the knowledge of teacher students seeking AA improving the quality of teaching and update to teaching practice.Item type:Item, O enunciado imagético e verbal no livro didático : uma análise discursiva(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-05) ;Souza, Parla Camila dos Reis de ;Sargentini, Vanice Maria Oliveira ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1406919572611392https://lattes.cnpq.br/2923838793375892Analyzing the incidence of images and mixed texts, in two editions of the textbook Português: linguagens of 1990 and 2010 for the third year of high school, we check the increase in these types of texts in the theoretical sections and in the exercises of this textbook. A more detailed comparison between editions showed a spread of images and mixed text approximately seven times more in the latest edition relative to the first. Given the occurrence of materialities imagistic and mixed, in the editions of the textbook Português: linguagens (2010), we investigated more two textbooks - Novas Palavras (2010) e Viva português: ensino médio (2010) making sure that an increase in the incidence of these types of texts can be understood as a tendency in these textbooks. From this, we analyze the representation, the relevance of these types of texts for teaching Portuguese language in high school proposed by these textbooks, mainly in the propositions of exercises made by these texts, noting few effective changes between editions of the textbook Português: linguagens in this effect. What can enhance this impasse between the highest incidence of these types of texts and their respective contributions to the teaching of Portuguese language is precisely the gap between the performances of the textbooks, which emphasize the need to work with the various languages, and their interiors, which demonstrate a relevance to verbal language, relegating to the low priority the mixed texts and the images. Indeed, these types of texts from our corpus have not acquired the importance compatible with the presentations discourses, because when they are used, quoted in the theoretical section and activities their materialities serve to decorate, illustrate, approximate the appearance of the textbook to the sites of Internet, since the referrals interpretatives of the exercises seldom consider their richness of meaning. However, when there is some consideration, the referrals tend to a more content-analysis of the constituent elements of each genre (cartoon, comic cartoon, advertisement etc.) in the exercise than making relations with other knowledge, for example. However, after 20 years (based on the two editions of the textbook Português: linguagens), the changes are backward, since very few times the syncretism of languages is worked. In this regard, we note that although the image and the mixed text are properly distributed on a large scale in the most textbooks that we studied, the materiality of these types of texts is not incorporated into the structure of the approach to teaching and learning of Portuguese Language proposed by the textbook to compete effectively as an element in the production of meaning. Trying to demonstrate how is the gap between the presentations and the use of the materiality of these types of texts inside the textbooks, we did a survey of the incidence of these texts and analyze four of them, based on Michel Foucault s theoretical postulates, notably his definition of utterance and archive, Discourse Analysis studies and the concept of discoursive memory postulated by JJ Courtine.Item type:Item, Garça-vaqueira (Bulbucus ibis): a diversidade genética no estudo do comportamento reprodutivo e na caracterização da população invasora brasileira(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-05) ;Silva, Emmanuel Moralez da ;Del Lama, Sílvia Nassif ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7893772074091604https://lattes.cnpq.br/4813763783063917The genetic diversity of the cattle egret (Bubulcus ibis) was analyzed to investigate reproductive behavior and characterize Brazilian populations of the species. Genotypes at seven microsatellite loci were used to investigate the occurrence of more than one female laying eggs in the same nest, characterizing the occurrence of multiple maternity. DNA was extracted from swabs collected from the outer surface of eggs and sexed; males were excluded. Forty-eight clutches from two breeding seasons (2010 and 2011) were genetically analyzed. Thirty-nine eggs laid by a second or third female were recorded. In five nests, the first egg of the clutch was from a different female, the laying happening prior to that of the incubating female. Suggesting nest takeover by another pair of egrets that kept the pre-existing eggs together with its own clutch. In the other 43 nests, the hypothesis of brood parasitism was posed to explain why one or two additional females were found laying eggs in a nest. A 463-bp fragment of the mitochondrial DNA control region Domain I was amplified for 148 individuals from seven Brazilian populations to investigate genetic-population and demographic parameters. Genetic diversity indices, the population structure tests Fst and AMOVA, a haplotype network, mismatch distribution and neutrality tests (Tajima s D, Fu s Fs, Fu and Li s D* and F*, Ramos-Onsins and Rozas R2) revealed the following: i) a high level of diversity was recorded for the cattle egret in Brazil in comparison to other closely related species studied in the country; ii) genetic diversity levels determined for the Brazilian regions are similar; iii) genetic structuring was not observed between the seven studied populations; and iv) the different tests performed to determine demographic expansion revealed no significant results. This is the first genetic characterization study for Bubulcus ibis to date and the findings indicate a high degree of plasticity in reproductive behavior and confirm a marked dispersion behavior of the species, leading to the homogenization of Brazilian populations.Item type:Item, De “turcos” a “mascates”: o questionamento da identidade sírio e libanesa em Piracicaba (1889 – 1930)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-05) ;Choairy, Chafic Carvalho ;Truzzi, Oswaldo Mário Serra ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5005536921435787https://lattes.cnpq.br/9671808873814046This study aims to analyze the Syrian and Lebanese immigration to the city of Piracicaba during the period from 1889 to 1935. According to academic studies of the subject, such migration differed from mainstream ethnic came to Brazil mainly because immigration of Arabs was not subsidized by the state and they had a distinctly urban and commercial insertion. The city of Piracicaba has features that differentiate it within the context of overall economic cities in the state of São Paulo, which had already owned a large sugar development in communion with coffee production, which allowed a great economic development for the city. Thus, the work will explore the process of identity construction Syrian-Lebanese in Piracicaba, demonstrating the stereotypes created and uses the term Turkish. We will also analyze the causes that led the Lebanese and Syrians to opt for Piracicaba, besides trying to reconstruct the daily lives of these immigrants in the municipality in question. The work focuses analysis of issues elucidated from the study of lawsuits involving Syrians and Lebanese, the journal of the municipality and authors of the period who wrote about Arab immigrants. Given these circumstances, the article discusses the discursive mechanisms of identity construction and present trajectories of Syrian and Lebanese immigrants that contrast with the hegemonic discourse of the colony and reverberated by many authors and popular cultureItem type:Item, Consultoria colaborativa escolar na área da deficiência visual ocular e cortical(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-05) ;Marques, Lydia da Cruz ;Mendes, Enicéia Gonçalveshttps://lattes.cnpq.br/6526854140222120The literature has pointed to an increase in the incidence of children with visual impairments associated with neurological disorders and other disabilities, but the educational implications of the association of such impediments is considered a minor theme in the training of special education teachers. The present study aimed to develop and evaluate a collaborative consultation program in the field of visual impairment with a team of professionals of a special school for students with intellectual disabilities. The participants were the research/consultant, five teachers, two class assistants, a speech therapist, a physical therapist, a psychologist and an occupational therapist, plus 46 students with ages between 7 and 37 years. The study was carried out in three stages: preliminary step of conducting ethical procedures; Study-1, the diagnosis of institutional conditions; and Study-2, the intervention. The latter involved: a) theoretical training of 35 hours of lessons; b) practice based on case studies based on the development of a visual evaluation process of students, with the purpose of raising subsidies for educational planning and to apply the theoretical knowledge in practice; and c) final evaluation of the consultation/training program. The results of student s characterization showed that 30.4% were diagnosed with cerebral palsy; 30.4% with intellectual disabilities; 19.6% with Down syndrome, and 19.6% with other diagnoses. 83% of the students have already been through ophthalmological inspection with an average age of 4.2 years in first query. Two students were diagnosed with optic nerve atrophy and congenital cataracts, which was not reported by the parents to the school. As for the observation of visual difficulties, the parents have made 11 references, whereas the professionals made only 3. The results of the evaluation process of visual changes, duly complemented by medical information, were: 16 students (34.8%) showed no detected changes; 20 (43.5%) with minor changes (strabismus, refraction errors); 3 (6.5%) with visual impairment of ocular origin; 3 (6.5%) with cortical visual impairment; 1 (2.1%) with ocular and cortical visual impairment; and 3 (6.5%) with suspicion of visual impairment. The visual impairment was predominant among the cases of cerebral palsy. The case studies resulted in referrals to ophthalmological consultations, guidance to parents, propositions of pedagogical strategies, in addition the adjustment of materials and environment. The results concerning the evaluation of the collaborative consultation program showed that it was satisfactory regarding the professional development of the consultant and the consultees and regarding the possibilities of solving the addressed problem. The study highlights the need of ophthalmic and visual development assessment among students with intellectual and multiple disabilities and emphasizes the importance of collaborative practice between specialists, family and school professionals to an understanding of the problem of a student with visual impairment associated with intellectual or multiple disabilities. In addition, it suggests the need of a support network for teachers of special education, of generalist formation, what also includes teachers specialized in the visual impairment area, as well as other professionals with technical knowledge.Item type:Item, Continuidades e mudanças na promoção dos interesses nacionais americanos no pós-guerra fria(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-06) ;Contrera, Flávio ;Villa, Marco Antoniohttps://lattes.cnpq.br/8376542572229961For over forty years the struggle against the spread of communism dominated the U.S. foreign policy agenda. However the end of the Cold War proved the limits of the containment strategy front the emergence of new and complex challenges. Without a vital security threat, the U.S. had great difficulty to define and promote their national interests. The Post-Cold War era has been marked by a dominance of smaller-scale threats, often transnational in scope, and was characterized, from the beginning, by lack of clarity of Americans with respect to their international objectives. At the end of the 1990s, some authors stated that the U.S. government would have given more emphasis in this context to the promotion of economic, ethnic and humanitarian interests, rather than potentially more vital threats to the survival of the country. These works, however, not delimited the concept of national interest and not identified this from the analysis of an official policy document. Keeping this in mind, we start from the perception that national interests are policies defined by policymakers together with the President to pursue certain goals abroad. As such, those composing, as required by law, the U.S. National Security Strategy. Thus, by analyzing the annual editions of this document, published between 1987 and 2000, the main objective of our work consisted to evaluate whether in the absence of a vital threat to U.S. security in the post-Cold War, it would have taken a redefinition of American national interest s agenda. In short, data showed that during the Clinton administration security interests had reduced their emphasis. The absence of a vital threat and the predominance of secondary threats resulted in a national interest s agenda more focused on "economic well-being and promotion of values" and less oriented to "defense of the nation and favorable world order". This decline of security as a priority issue was also accompanied by a trend of decreasing in U.S. military spending and also a substantial increase in spending on U.S. foreign economic assistance programs, which suggests, in fact, a redefinition of the country's priorities in the Post-Cold War context.Item type:Item, Avaliação da aprendizagem na educação a distância : algumas concepções e práticas avaliativas desenvolvidas no curso de licenciatura em pedagogia, modalidade EaD, da UFSCar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-06) ;Bianchi, Priscila Cristina Fiocco ;Reyes, Cláudia Raimundohttps://lattes.cnpq.br/8767701419344955The appearance of Distance Education (EaD) in the world scenery and also Brazilian is associated to the scientific and technological development and to the social need of providing education to the segments of the population not accordingly served by the traditional system of teaching. The most time, studying by this modality of Distance Teaching (EaD in Portuguese) is the only opportunity offered to young and adult workers. This way, this modality of education contributes to enlarge the scope of democratization of the education and it can also be consider as way of overcoming barriers of space and time. This new configuration space-time proposes and, above all, requires new postures, habilities and competences of AL involved in the process of teaching and learning, in particular, the way how the evaluation of learning is developedin the Distance Teaching (EaD). In this sense, the present work of search brings as a question: What are the implications for the student forming in the use of different tools and evaluative instruments foreseen in the model of Distance Education from UFSCar, using as clipping the course of Pedagogy, in the perspective of the teachers? We detach that this investigation was realized in a qualitative perspective of research, bein used as an instrument of data collection an on line questionnaire that was answered by eleven teachers in a period at about three weeks. The evaluation of learning in this modality is a theme that deserves attention, because it s an instrument of support to the process of building and rebuilding of the knowledge. Thus, understanding how the evaluative process is developed in Distance Education courses means to lean studies about the use of didactic tools and materials, evaluative instruments and a look at the conception of evaluation presented by the teachers. The results of this research showed that the teachers has been keeping a variety of evaluative instruments in their disciplines, having a balance between the individual and collective activities, although still prevail conventional forms of evaluation, as an example, syntheses, analysis and discussions in forums. Beside, the results reflect that the application of individual writing test is used more than another instrument. The didactic tools used by the teachers provide the student to get competences coherent with the Professional Profile To Be Graduated by the UFSCar. It´s offered to the students opportunities to exercise specific activities of the profession, to learn in an independent and continuous way. However, many aspects need to be reviewed and improved, in special aspects inherent work with multidisciplinary teams, to the action in a form inter/multi/transdisciplinary. For this investigation on, I intend to contribute for the evaluative processes became more dynamic and articulated, so that the evaluation is a process that direct the development and the success of the student. In this sense, we hope it´s possible to offer subsidies that can collaborate for a depth reflections about the elements that compose the process of teaching and learning (planning, evaluative instruments, teaching strategies, didactic materials, etc.).Item type:Item, Consumo de álcool entre universitários: histórico de violência como risco e religião como fator de proteção(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-07) ;Priolo Filho, Sidnei Rinaldo ;Williams, Lúcia Cavalcanti de Albuquerque ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6962646759651464https://lattes.cnpq.br/4997927772311378Alcohol consumption among College students has been a main concern among different sectors of society around the world. Risk factors associated to this behavior are not clear and more research is needed. The objective of this research is to verify if a history of intrafamilial violence is associated to higher alcohol consumption during College years. Furthermore, analyze if religion has an association with the consumption among this group as well. A review of the literature points out that history of violence is associated with higher alcohol consumption, however few researches were made analyzing polyvictimization and future alcohol consumption. The consequences for children that suffered different forms of victimization are not yet known in full extension. This research tries to fill some of those blanks, for that purpose it used the AUDIT questionnaire adapted with 1452 participants. In that sample alcohol consumption in life had a percent of 93.51% to woman and 93.10% to men. While, the consumption in the last 3 month was 82.04% and 83,74% respectively. The most frequent form of violence was physical (40.99%), the second was exposure to domestic violence (30.60%). A linear regression model was performed and was found and association between having a history of violence and a higher score in alcohol consumption. That association was verified to all forms of violence, including polyvictimization. About religion, results shown that 30.16% of the College students reported do not have a Religion, a higher percentage than that found by the National Census. Participants that do not have a religion present a higher chance to consume alcohol and binge drink. Having a religion may be a protection factor to binge drinking, especially, among evangelical participants.Item type:Item, Análise comparativa de diferentes tratamentos para reduzir a deterioração de tomates(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-07) ;Rosanova, Aline de Holanda ;Ferreira, Maria do Carmo ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7070885875161111https://lattes.cnpq.br/9989278096493384Due to their high moisture content, tomatoes have a high metabolic activity that continues even after harvesting, making them a highly perishable vegetable. According to FAO, Brazil is the largest tomato producer in South America and the eighth largest producer in the world. Despite this significant production, rapid fruit deterioration causes a loss of about 40% of this production in post-harvesting operations such as transportation and storage. Recently, new techniques have been tested to increase the shelf life of vegetables, such as the use of high voltage electric fields to produce a modified atmosphere in which the ionization induced by corona discharge contributes to retarding deterioration by mechanisms such as the decreasing respiratory rates, destroying ethylene and producting ozone. Therefore, the objectives of this study were to set up, check and test equipment to carry out experiments to treat different types of fruit and vegetables using electric fields. In this work this system was used for tomatoes and its effectiveness was evaluated by analyzing some measurable quality properties such as loss of mass, changes in skin color, fruit firmness, total titratable acidity (ATT) and soluble solids content (SST). This method was compared to the use of refrigeration to extend the shelf life of this vegetable. An improvement of some measurable quality properties was observed after treating tomatoes cv. Andrea Victory intermittently by applying an electrical field of -1.6 kV/cm followed by storage in climate chamber or using -2.0 kV/cm followed by storage at room temperature, and also after using continuous treatments in tomatoes cv. Paron (-1.9 kV/cm) followed by storage at room temperature. The other measured properties did not indicate benefits of electrical field treatment for preserving the fruit quality. Storage of tomatoes cv. Paron at 15.0 oC and relative humidity of 70% reduced the loss of mass and improved fruit firmness in comparison to the control group, while the storage in a domestic refrigerator reduced the loss of mass and improved the skin color of the vegetables. Concerning the treatment techniques electric fields and refrigeration, a clear advantage of one compared to the other was not identified, since both had a positive effect on at least one property investigated.Item type:Item, Taxa de atração para equações de reação-difusão com difusão grande localizada(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-07) ;Pires, Leonardo ;Silva, Karina Schiabel ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2677541143976758https://lattes.cnpq.br/1872209362721295In this work we study the nonlinear asymptotical dynamics of a semilinear reactiondiffusion equation of parabolic type, when the diffusion coefficient becomes very large in a subregion Ω0 which is interior to the physical domain Ω. We obtain, under suitable assumptions, that the family of attractors behave continuously with respect to a rate of attraction.Item type:Item, Estabilidade em equações de reação e difusão : interação entre difusibilidade e geometria em superfícies de revolução e um problema singularmente perturbado no caso de intersecção das raizes da equação degenerada(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-07) ;Sônego, Maicon ;Nascimento, Arnaldo Simal do ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6609243657130387https://lattes.cnpq.br/4425077751075680In this work we study two distinct problems. The first is a parabolic problem with variable diffusivity on surfaces of revolution. The objective is to find mechanisms of interaction between the diffusivity function and the geometry of the domain ensuring the existence of stationary stable nonconstant solution as well as non-existence. The second is a problem of reaction and diffusion singularly perturbed in the case of intersecting roots of the degenerate equation. We prove the existence and geometric profile of four families of stationary stable non-constant solutions to the parabolic equation. In both problems the main tools used are T-convergence theory and techniques of variational calculus.Item type:Item, Propriedades da sílica CTA-MCM-41 contendo metacrilatos e seu emprego na transesterificação de monoéster(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-07) ;Araújo, Jailson Arruda de ;Cardoso, Dilson ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2462847535959232https://lattes.cnpq.br/4541573294061168The search for clean and renewable fuels has aroused great interest in the industry and scientific community with the growing demand for energy. The transesterification reaction of triglycerides is one way of achieving a sustainable fuel and less harmful to the environment. This has encouraged researchers to develop new routes of synthesis of heterogeneous catalysts. The CTA-MCM-41 silica has basic catalytic sites called siloxy (≡SiO-) and may be used in transesterification reactions. Its use in base catalysis has shown promising results, but the reuse reveals extensive loss of activity due to the removal of CTA cations from the channels. The catalyst modification may improve the catalytic stability, in which the insertion of polymeric species together the micelles within the silica is one method studied by our group. Given this perspective, this study aimed at evaluating the modification of the basic catalyst CTA-MCM-41. The polymers encapsulation and ultraviolet irradiation on silicas containing monomer were performed in this study. It was possible to prove by means of small angle X-ray scattering conducted on the emulsion and silicas, the polymeric and monomeric species were inside the micelles causing micellar and silica expansion. The infrared absorption spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and chemical analysis showed that these species remained inside the micelles after encapsulation. The catalytic evaluation demonstrated that the modified silica with low amounts of monomer added showed improved catalytic stability.Item type:Item, As organizações sindicais dos trabalhadores e o processo constituinte 1987-88: um estudo sobre a atuação do DIAP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-07) ;Costa, Lucas Nascimento Ferraz ;Noronha, Eduardo Garuti ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6908348693613769https://lattes.cnpq.br/5825771500862011The goal of this dissertation is to analyze the performance of the Department of Inter Parliamentary Advisory (Departamento Intersindical de Assessoria Parlamentar) (DIAP) in the constituent process of 1987-88. The organization was able to unify the consensual demands of the working class, uniting in a single project for the Constituent Assembly, the unions of the period, that were divided politically. With this, the DIAP changed the trade union agenda at that time, one of the reasons that explain the success of the "lobby" of working class in the National Constituent Assembly (NCA). In research, we divide the dissertation into two phases of the organization, before and during the Constituent Assembly. Previously, since 1983, when it was created, we analyze the formation process of consensual project, which involved the preparation of technical studies and negotiations with union leaders. When working in the NCA, we analyze the influential "lobby" practiced by DIAP, showing political conflicts faced by the organization at every stage of this process. We understand that DIAP was a central actor in defending the interests of workers, managing to convince the unions of workers, leftist political parties and progressive constituents to act according its design. It was a delicate pact, which was only possible by the peculiarities of the constituent process. The Constituent Assembly has provided the opportunity of "lobbies" to seek important achievements, in approving their interests in constitutional standarts. The DIAP is one of the most important products of this political reality. The support given to the organization to act on behalf of a class is explained by its institutional design, which has adapted to the lack of organization and preparation ahead of the unions of the importance of the constitutional process.Item type:Item, Estudo de caso da tutoria virtual da UAB - UFSCAR: análise do processo formativo e atuação(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-07) ;Fonseca, Ana Paula Araujo ;Reyes, Cláudia Raimundohttps://lattes.cnpq.br/1274752433328441Online education has opened a new way of organizing the processes of teaching and learning, from the division of teaching duties before accomplished by a single teacher. In Online education, the virtual tutor stands out in teaching process. Although considered central to the process of monitoring and evaluation of student performance, few studies have been dedicated to evaluating training proposals for this category. This paper describes and analyzes a proposed virtual tutor training at the Federal University of São Carlos - UFSCar, partner of the System Open University of Brazil (Universidade Aberta do Brasil UAB). The chosen institution is considered a national reference in the field of tutor training, having served as a model for other partner institutions from UAB. This is a case study from the theoretical framework of Behavior Analysis. The procedure adopted was to: a) record the history of the creation of the proposed formation of virtual tutors UAB-UFSCar, from semi-structured interviews with the team that conceived, b) describe the objectives and strategies of teaching and evaluation planned for one of the editions of the course offered at the institution, c) describe and analyze the performance of one the students of the training course on mentoring during the conduct of the course and his first performance after formed d) establish possible relations between the student performance observed during his first acting as a tutor in a course subject of UAB-UFSCar and the aspects present in the 14th edition of virtual tutoring. The main findings showed that training course in virtual tutoring of UFSCar presents the UAB-training strategies that aim to strengthen the knowledge of the "know about." There is a course unit designed to the practical exercise of the function of tutor, favoring the knowledge of the "know-how". The tutoring models offered by tutors trainers are an important part of the training process, as well as the first entry in the mentoring activity. The participant analyzed demonstrated above average performance during the training course, has made all activities toward the goals proposed by the course. However, when his first role as tutor, his performance did not match the expected, especially when compared to the initial training period. These results suggest that the induction period is crucial for tutors remains in training, being pointed to the importance of creating induction programs that helps the tutor virtual in his functions required in every discipline. The teaching staff, as well as the Supervisor of tutors, gives an important support for planning strategies of monitoring the beginner tutor. Indentify relevant aspects of the training offered through contingency analysis of teaching and learning, can directly assist in the improvement of formative processes of the UAB-UFSCar and indirectly to other institutions. It is suggested that the Behavior Analysis can contribute to the training of the tutor, in that it is concerned to create conditions suitable to teach him how to teach.Item type:Item, Efeito Aharonov-Bohm sem interação com a fronteira do solenóide(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-08) ;Romano, Renan Gambale ;Oliveira, César Rogério de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5485204156806697https://lattes.cnpq.br/2317413965575635One of the biggest problem in the mathematical modeling of the Aharonov- Bohm Effect is the interaction between the electron and the solenoid border. Such interaction translates into boundary conditions on that border, which causes great ambiguity because in principle it is not clear what the most appropriate choice. In quantum mechanics this conditions represent self-adjoint extensions of the Schrödinger operator of the problem. On the other hand, recent works has demostrated that it is possible to confine quantum particles in certain regions of Rn with magnetic fields sufficientily intense near the border of that region. Mathematically this corresponds to essentially selfadjoint Schrödinger operators, which means exemption from the particle interation with the solenoid border In this work we intend to combine the two situations mentions above to study the Aharonov-Bohm effect in the plane, adding then external magnetic fields and potentials that are suffiently intense in the solenoid border so that the related Schrödinger operator is essentially self-adjoint.Item type:Item, Mecanismos comportamentais e moleculares envolvidos na interação entre as substâncias de abuso e os fatores de risco para o desenvolvimento da dependência(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-08) ;Leão, Rodrigo Molini ;Planeta, Cleopatra da Silvahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/9991437191368026Tobacco and ethanol are the most used drugs in the world and often co-abused. An important issue in the field of drug abuse research is the characterization of risk factors related to increased vulnerability to drug addiction. In the present study we investigated in rats: a) the effects of exposure to variable stress on nicotine-induced locomotor activation, CREB and ERK activities in the prefrontal cortex, nucleus accumbens and amygdala and nicotine intravenous self-administration; b) whether previous exposure to cocaine could affect nicotine seeking behaviors, and if this phenomenon could be related to alterations in the BDNF, TrkB, DYN, Mi-Opio, NPY and CRFR1 gene expression in the nucleus accumbens; c) whether repeated nicotine treatment could induce anxiety-like behavior, which in turn increases alcohol intake; d) the effect of simultaneous nicotine treatment during the transition to development of alcohol dependence and whether that is mediated by activation of neuronal ensembles in different parts of the brain. We found: the variable stress exposure caused cross sensitization with nicotine, increased the nicotine selfadministration behavior and decreased CREB activity in mesencephalic areas; the pretreatment with cocaine caused sensitization of cocaine motor response, locomotor cross-sensitization with nicotine, and increased motivation to nicotine intake; the pretreatment with nicotine increased the anxiety-like behavior and the motivation to ethanol intake; the simultaneous administration of nicotine and ethanol vapor exposure speed up the escalation of ethanol self-administration, increased the motivation and the compulsivity to ethanol intake and these behaviors could be related to activation of extended amygdala and mesocorticolimbic systems. Our results suggest that additional factors to the drug use such as stress and preexposure to other drug could increase the vulnerability to addiction.Item type:Item, A Filosofia Crítica de Bergson(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-08) ;Mascarenhas, Aristeu Laurêncio Cordeiro ;Marques, Silene Torres ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/4822141288006918https://lattes.cnpq.br/9758890809066139Item type:Item, A importância da caracterização do módulo de elasticidade e do amortecimento de refratários por técnica dinâmica(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-03-08) ;Exposito, Caio Cesar Dente ;Rodrigues, José de Anchieta ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/4000441989868775https://lattes.cnpq.br/7830288943074148This dissertation tries to understand the mechanisms involving damping phenomenon in ceramic refractory materials, using a dynamic technique. Damping proves to be an interesting parameter to analyze thermal shock damage in these sorts of materials. This technique would make possible to compare damping measurements with well-established techniques, such as the determination of modulus of elasticity modulus and modulus of rupture. Furthermore, this study attempts to understand the nonlinear phenomenon in damping and modulus of elasticity that depends on the vibrational amplitude. Aiming to understand how the variation on the vibration amplitude affects the mzasured values of damping and modulus of elasticity and how the nonlinear effect can be used in our advantage and in industrial daily routine, such as determining whether samples are damaged or not without a previous analysis or a standard material for reference. This study also approaches the influence of water in the nonlinear behavior of damping and modulus of elasticity. Thus, it would be possible to establish trustable and standardize procedures to measure those. In addition it would be possible to understand the drying process of ceramic refractory castables.
