The non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs have been known for over 100 years and has been widely used by mankind. However cause adverse effects, since gastrointestinal complications to cardiac diseases many of these symptoms related to its nonspecific action in biological systems. Thus, the proposal of a drug delivery system for loading these drugs to the site of inflammation, could reduce these unwanted effects in the body due to the limitation of more targeted effects beyond its site of action. In this study, the graphene and graphite plates were used as carriers, since studies demonstrate the usefulness of other conformational structures of carbon as drug carriers for the treatment of cancer, for example. Two models were studied for the plates by softwares of molecular docking: template sandwich, which comprises two carbon plates, with ligant between them, and the model surfing with one carbon plate comprising the ligant. The compounds were obtained from data banks, such as CSD, PDB and SD, the plates were obtained by molecular modeling. The analysis of intermolecular interactions, essential knowledge for understanding the structures obtained was done using molecular imaging with high resolution. The experimental results showed that the in silico model sandwich was the most favorable for this system, providing stability and protection for the ligand that this does not become detached from the plates during the path taken in the body to the desired location.

Bioethanol is an alternative low cost fuel, which is conventionally obtained in Brazil from the fermentation of sugarcane juice, molasses, or a mixture of these. However, alternatively, ethanol could be obtained from lignocellulosic materials, wastes or agroindustrial byproducts composed of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin, such as sugarcane bagasse. For each ton of cane processed, 250 kg of bagasse are obtained on average, which is usually burned for power generation industry. The microbial cultivation using these materials depend on the availability of substrates, accordingly, acid hydrolysis has been considered one of the most widely used process for the depolymerization of the hemicellulose fraction of lignocellulosic materials, due to their low cost and high efficiency. However, under conditions of high temperature and pressure, glucose and xylose released are degraded to 5- hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) and furfural, respectively. These compounds are characterized by inhibiting the yeast used in the fermentation step, which influences the microbial metabolism and the conversion of hexoses and pentoses obtained in ethanol. In this context, the aim of this work was to evaluate the ability of a yeast strain, from the species Dekkera bruxellensis (CCA155) in producing ethanol from sugarcane bagasse hydrolysates, since it has shown to be a yeast tolerant to adverse conditions found in industrial fermentation processes. The results indicated that D. bruxellensis was capable of producing ethanol in a synthetic medium containing xylose or arabinose, and xylose or glucose as sole carbon sources, and when grown in concentrations of 50 or 100% sugarcane bagasse hydrolyzate, maximum specific speeds growth was similar, about 0.009 h-1, with cell productivity of about 0.035 gL-1h-1. In the bioreactor tests, the yeast displayed low specific growth rate during the first five days, 0.003 h-1, caused by a slow consumption of glucose. But in a second phase of growth, with a lower rate 0.001 h-1, there was an increase in xylose consumption, a period in that an increase in ethanol concentration with maximum yield of approximately 3.25 mg/L.h was observed. Therefore even with lower growth when compared to yeast fermentation conventionally used in ethanol industries, these results suggest the feasibility of the cultivation of D. bruxellensis in hydrolysates of sugarcane bagasse.

Environmental pollution has been a complex problem which generates a lot of ecological consequences. Among all chemicals produced by anthropic activity human, there isa wide range of organic compounds affecting on the environment and human health, which were grouped under the acronym POPs, Persistent Organic Pollutants. These compounds have been targeted at all conventions on the global environment. Bioremediation, phytoremediation and thermal treatment are techniques that have been tested in recent years and in many cases showed good results for decontamination matrices such as soil and water. Nanotechnology emerged in the recent years as an important tool for environmental purification and has been highly used by presenting itself as technological option for "green oxidation". Plants can also be considered as component of aggregation and transformation of organic compounds in their tissues and can also be applied in phytoremediation purposes both in vivo and in vitro models. This study developed a remediation method fully in vitro, in contrast to traditional methods in vivo. Two novel protocols were established by the development of in vitro culture: one for bamboo species Bambusa vulgaris var. vitatta and other for sunflower Helianthus annuus. L. The study of bioremediation effects of these species in vitros howed promising results for seventeen from twenty-four compounds evaluated using sunflower reaching until 87% for remediation. Moreover, it was possible to verify the nanostructured TiO2 toxicity to the studied species at different stages of development. The use of nanostructured TiO2 in the remediation of aqueous samples contaminated with POPs showed promising results in degradation of around 50% for most pollutants. This work suggests an interesting comparison of the potential of these techniques in environmental applications with respect to efficiency, practicality and toxicity especially focus in go remediation processes certainly due to its dynamic results can provide environmentally attractive and can even be used together.

Algae are organisms with which studies have been made on the uptake of carbon dioxide, as a source of lipids for research on biofuels such as fertilizers and soil. But little is known about the interaction of such organisms with higher plants. Thus, the general objective of this master thesis was to reuse the algal biomass of Selenastrum capricornutum Printz (Chlorophyceae class) e Chlorella sorokiniana Shihira e Krauss (Trebouxiophyceae class) in pelleting seed Bowdichia virgilioides, native to the Brazilian Savanna that are classified as threatened with extinction and whose wood has attributes for the furniture industry, besides the medicinal properties already reported in other studies. First, the seeds were grown in a greenhouse, with the following treatments: a) seeds naked; b) pelleted seeds with white glue based on polyvinyl acetate diluted to 8% at water and gypsum; c) seeds pelleted with glue based white polyvinyl acetate diluted to 8% at wet algal biomass of Selenastrum capricornutum and gypsum; d) pelleted seeds with white glue based polyvinyl acetate diluted to 8% at wet algal biomass of Chlorella sorokiniana and gypsum. Fungicide and insecticide were added to the silicato and gypsum for agricultural according to industry directions. The parameters mean emergence time (days), weight (g) dry and cool, length (cm) of aerial and root portions and number of nitrogen fixing nodules in the roots don t showed statistically significant difference between treatments. The variable "emergency percentage" showed that pelleted seeds with C. sorokiniana biomass as a cement material constituent showed value equivalent to conventional treatment (naked), paving the way for new studies pelleting with agal biomass of that species. As higher be the algae intracellular biochemical values, higher be the chances to achieve satisfactory results, because the seed can be use algae biochemical components at its development. In a second stage, there was pelleted seed sown in an area of brazilian savanna and the treatments were: a) naked seed; b) pelleted seeds with white glue based on polyvinyl acetate diluted to 8% at water and gypsum; c) pelleted seeds with white glue based on polyvinyl acetate diluted to 8% at wet algal biomass of Selenastrum capricornutum and gypsum with fungicide and insecticide; d) pelleted seeds with white glue based on polyvinyl acetate diluted to 8% at water and silicate for agricultural; and e) pelleted seeds with white glue based on polyvinyl acetate diluted to 8% at wet algal biomass of Selenastrum capricornutum and silicate for agricultural. Fungicide and insecticide were added to the silicato and gypsum for agricultural according to industry directions. For this experiment hood, it was observed that treatment with only gypsum had a significantly lower percentage of emergence. The treatment with silicate was considered as an effective material coating to the sucupira seed pelleting process, cultivating in savanna field. Thus, the alga Chlorella sorokiniana showed to be an efficient cementing material for pelleting process and silicate for agricultural a promising coating material, when it comes to planting in the field.

This project's main goal is propose the application of a Teaching Sequence about how finding the notable points of a triangle, in particular, the circumcenter. Introducing in the sequence geometric objects primaries of Euclidean geometry with the axioms and the theorems necessary to construct the circumcenter. The geometric objects will be built through educational software Geogebra. The teaching of geometry, often present to the end of the textbook, is faced with the difficulty of the students to manipulate instruments as ruler, protractor and compass. On the other hand, the fascination of students by computers facilitates the use of geometric softwares. The sum of these factors, have inspired this project. Based on the methodology of the didactic engineering I intend to show the construction steps of mathematical knowing from the student's research experimenting, visualizing, conjecturing, generalizing even demonstrating the mathematical basement in this context.

The meeting of man need s, in the urban environment, create different types of projects, which significantly change city s life. According to the number of dislocations generated, luxury condos are characterized as Trip Generation Polo. Thus, to approve and begin the construction, become necessary preliminary studies, based on the forecast trip production and attraction to determine and minimize their impact on the region where they are installed. There are few studies in Brazil, so, this research intends to build a model about luxury condos trip generation. The case of study was based on the reality of the city of Bauru, São Paulo. The proposed procedure was applied in seven condos with similar characteristics, in which the data were collected from 6:30am to 20pm. This research generated 14 satisfactory models, depending on how trips were made (Cars, on foot and all modes), on the collection period (7h to 9h, 16h to 18h and 6h30 to 20h) and the explanatory variable of the phenomenon (Occupied units and total area of the project). The occupied units were the explanatory variable with better representation of the phenomenon (resulted in lower standard deviations and highest coefficients of determination R²). These results could be basis for future of urban planners, especially in decision-making regarding the approval of new projects. The study is based on quantitative technical procedures of bibliographic research and data collection.

This work aims to assist the Geometric Progression Content Learning, developing educational material supported by research methodology called didactic engineering. We developed an instructional sequence based on a problem situation, in which students, by providing a simulation of a polluted river, should predict the time needed for the de-pollution to occur and develop a mathematical model in order to explain this phenomenon. The work was applied in a Ninth Grade classroom (Junior High School) in the State School called Victor Maida in Ibitinga with 29 students divided into trios. These trios remained together until the end of the application of the instructional sequence, which lasted five days. The sequence contained about 60 questions, which were formulated into a form with which the student could act autonomously, with minimal teacher intervention. Finally, this work was based on the collection of results in the analysis of priori and a posteriori of the responses provided by the teams, in order to check the results obtained.

The Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases are a major global public health challenges , and are determined mostly by the association of modifiable risk factors , such as nutrition . It is believed that the use of functional foods with antioxidant properties can positively affect the incidence of such diseases. Given this context highlights the Acai ( Euterpe oleracea ) , which features in its pulp components with the ability to inhibit or reduce oxidation processes generated by free radicals in the body . Thus , this study aimed to evaluate the effect of the consumption of the drink acai in glucose and lipid profile of Wistar rats . For forty- five days 12 Munich- Wistar rats ( Rattus norvegicus ) adult females with an average weight of 250g were divided into two groups ( Acai and Control ) received water and feed ad libitum to except the group that had the Acai replaced by drinking water Acai . At the end of the experiment the animals were anesthetized and euthanized . Blood samples were collected for analysis of biochemical parameters (glucose , cholesterol , triglycerides and blood count ) and tissue samples for histological analyzes . In the analyzed variables , even without showing statistically significant differences , descriptive results showed the maintenance of body weight and glucose and lipid reduction , and increase in some blood components relevant group Acai . In this paper, I intend to report the experience of implementing an activity in some classes in a public school of the city of Ribeirão Preto, state of São Paulo, where it was made an approach to the subject "Notable Points of a Triangle" by using the software GeoGebra like as a tool for teaching and learning. The aim is to analyze students' reactions and the interaction of the same at the presentation of the content using this software. Also a comparison of the progress is made with regard to student learning through the production and execution of activities, consisting of scripts/walkthroughs. The methodology used is the didactic engineering. Working in pairs, due to the limited amount of computers in the computer lab of the school, improved academic relations between some students, arising naturally an exchange of ideas and awakening a spirit of collaboration in a very healthy learning space. At the end of the study the author concluded that activities using computing resources as an educational tool optimizes the process of teaching and learning.

Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) are generated by the incomplete reduction of oxygen during metabolic processes, exposure to external agents and as a secondary response to several diseases and when in excess, can cause injury to tissues and cells. During the evolution process, cells have developed several antioxidant mechanisms. One of such mechanisms encompasses the peroxiredoxins (PRDXs), which are highlighted for their abundance and high reactivity with their substrates. In humans, six different PRDXs have been described as located in different cellular compartments. In erythrocytes, PRDXs, particularly PRDX2, is the third most abundant protein, indicating its possible role in the cell development and their maintenance. However, there are few studies connecting these proteins to erythroid diseases, especially in hemolytic anemias, that have a high ROS production, such as beta thalassemia and sickle cell disease (SCD). This study evaluated the role of PRDXs in reticulocytes of patients with the diseases described above, compared to reticulocytes of health blood donors, using Real Time PCR and proteins will be analyzed by Western blot. Our results showed that the levels of transcript and PRDX1 protein were increased in BT patients and decreased in SCD. The PRDX2 transcript showed no differences in both diseases but in western blot analysis a decrease in PRDX2 protein was observed in SCD, indicating a possible pos transcription regulation process for this gene in SCD. The levels of PRDX5 transcript did not present difference in any of the diseases. A reduction in mRNA and protein levels for PRDX6 was observed in BT and SCD patients. Besides its action in the detoxification of ROS, PRDX6 acts also as a phospholipase A2 regulating the phospholipid turnover at the cell membrane. The decrease of this enzyme found in both patients could indicate that the cell membrane of the erythroid cells were not renovated leading to hemolysis observed in these patients. This is the first study correlating gene expression of peroxiredoxins in these hemolytic anemias The results could contribute in better understand the role of these protein and in a identification of new targets that could help in the management of diseases and improve the survival of these patients.

The requirements imposed by the new applications presents great challenges to the computation. There is not a perfect computer architecture, capable to attend to all the requirements. The parallel and hybrid computer arrangement rise as a solution to this scenario i.e., the CPU-Coprocessor pair arrangement can form a specialized computerized instrument for a special application task. This doctoral thesis proposes a parallel and hybrid computational platform denoted CoP-WS, that uses the interoperability technology known as Web Services. As coprocessor it is used the graphic processing unit, known as the GPU, functioning recently as parallel thread level processing of general use applications. The platform test of feasibility was inspired in radio astronomy, and it has been implemented two applications: a complex correlator of signals provided by a radio interferometric arrangement, and a flare recognition system with a solar radio interferometer image. Both processings can be inserted in the context of pipeline execution, using sufficient configuration of CPU-GPU pairs, having on one side the interferometric arrangement antenna signal input and in the other side the result of the solar flare recognition. The obtained results of the both applications show the feasibility of the CoP-WS platform, for greater volume of data being processed in quasi real time. In the case of the correlator the average processing time in each integration period was around 160 ms, and in the case of the solar flare recognition, 48 ms for each solar disk image.

The number of Building Companies that searches for a certification of their Quality Management Systems (SGQ’s) has risen in recent years, focused mainly on ISO 9001 and PBQP-H. The same trend has been occurring with regard to Management Systems of Environmental, Safety and Health at work in view of the current global socio economic outlook. Although companies suffer a number of difficulties during the process of implementation and certification of SGQ’s and several works in the literature have already studied about that subject, not much is known upon those difficulties of SGI’s (Integrated Management System) implementation, as well as the rate and reasons for dropouts implementation and recertification of those systems, especially in construction. Therefore, the present Study has as objective to evaluate the level potential of implementation of Integrated Management System (SGI’s) covering Quality, Environment, Safety and Health at work at Building Companies that have ever had a Quality Management System (SGQ) implemented. As methodological proposal, it was used the available literature for the preparation of a compatibility matrix among reference standards (ISO 9001, SiAC (2012), ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001) and the checklist containing the items (requirements and criteria) most relevant to the implementation of SGI’s. Also were developed quantitative indicators which that do references for the degree of implementation of SGI's. The research was conducted in the form of study case, as a way of method validation, from ten civil work of a medium size Building Company. As results, some hypotheses initially proposed was validated in the research that there are significant differences in the implantation potential of SGI's in civil work in the same organization, in addition, it was possible to find that distinct phases of execution of civil works influence about the potential of adherence into implementation to one SGI. The indicators established show as an important tool for the building companies to mark out to achieve the SGI. The elaborate method contributes to the advancement in construction with regard to implementation and maintenance of SGQ’s and, preliminary, of SGI’s. Besides trying to contribute to a better understanding of the evolution of quality, environment, safety and health at work in construction, this Study longed to highlight the benefits and critical issues, not only for the implementation of SGI's, but also for their maintenance and viability in the sector.

The object of this work is the Orkut as a mean of politic socialization. The goal is to analyze the role of new communication and information technologies, specially the Orkut communities Government and Politic , to identify if there are any contribution for expansion and strengthening of a democratic political culture. Our hypothesis is that the Orkut, faced with the possibility of virtual communities creation and discussion referring to political issues, end out creating a public space which corroborates as an agent of political socialization, contributing to amplify politic discussions and for democratic politic culture consolidation. The criterion for selection of communities related to political issues in the Orkut was realized focusing in the diversity of political issues positioning, such as support, rejection and evaluation about politic and democracy. The methodology for this analyze correspond to DAIA criterion , once this criterion is not limited only in thinking communication in terms of instrumentalization and technique, but as a process of social relationship. In this way, we aimed trough this Orkut study, mainly of its communities, to investigate the role of NTCI s in the consolidation of a democratic politic culture and to contribute for the investigation about digital democracy in democratic process.

Graciliano Ramos and Cândido Portinari were friends, but they had something in common that bound most strongly: the desire to express in their works the authentic Brazilian man, the worker and the migrant in their daily lives. This research aims to show how the works of Graciliano and Candido Portinari are close, not only as a social content and theme, but mainly as a form, style and technical resources, as the verbal and visual language are intimately linked as modes of representation. The rapprochement between Graciliano and Cândido Portinari, between the books São Bernardo, Vidas Secas, and the frames Café, Lavrador de café, Retirantes and Criança Morta, aims to demonstrate how the life and work of these artists intersect, in order to represent critically the reality of the time, through a dialectical analysis of form and content, combining text and context in levels of interpretation, according to the hermeneutic proposal of Frederic Jameson in the political unconscious (1982) and the principles of visual semiotics. To achieve this goal, we consider the history of each narrative, structural components, linking them to the historical context of the country at the time. Thus we examine how each represents a social issue: the contradictory reality of Brazil, a country that keeps living archaic modes of production with the arrival of Modernism and Capitalism; antagonistic classes of this society, exploiters and exploited, farmers, migrants, landowners, the government; and alienation/reification that they are submitted, direct consequences of this system. The analyzes are performed with dialectic dialogue, form and content, text and context in reading the social content of his compositions. That is, we analyze how they say what they say about this fundamental aspect of socioeconomic and political organization of the country. Thus, through the analysis we confirm why Graciliano and Portinari are considered realistic and social critics, as such works make use of realism and expressionism as technical resources to bring about awareness of the real and present in the political unconscious subtexts, which allows to conclude from the comparison made that the connection between them, the analogy between literature and painting produced, is stronger and larger than the gap.

This research investigates the contributions for changes (or not) in the pedagogical practices of teachers of the early years of basic education stemming educational processes triggered in training courses relating to ethnic-racial theme. From the implementation of the law 10.639/032, topics related to the history and culture african- Brazilian and African became compulsory in the curriculum of public and private networks, which creates demand for conducting continuing education courses for teachers of different levels of education in these operating systems. Thus, were invited to participate in this study, black and non-black teachers in the early years of basic education who have participated in continuing education courses related to ethnic-racial theme. The research data were collected through in-depth conversations held with these teachers. The relevance of this study to the field of education is confirmed by the possibility of reflection on points that continuing education courses contributed or not to change the practice of these teachers, issues that need to be rethought in formulating future courses as well as the influence of subjective questions pertaining relating to the experiences of teachers and influence the understanding and coherency of the theme.

Orchidaceae is one of the largest and diverse families of angiosperms, that is in almost every type of habitat, except tundras and deserts. They are considered of great ornamental importance, the genus Phalaenopsis has received a great prominence having increaed and its production enlarged in the Gross and inner market This way, the Brazilian floriculture market has a great demand in seedling production, requiring more studies and researches involving biotechnologycal techniques from the development of vases and containers on a prepared substrate, propagation techniques and acclimatization. And with in vitro culture, it is possible that the desirable plant coul be multiplied through several sucbultures, which enables an earlier and new cultivation available more quickly for commercial use. The luminosity is another factor that is gaining prominence in the productivity of orchids, the fact that the quality of light affects directly the growth and development of plants grown in vitro and/or ex vitro. The present work had as objective to anlyze the growth of in vitro and acclimatization in the two cultivations (cv. 6323 and cv. 6546) of orchid Phalaenopsis amabilis Blume, under different lighting spectra. Inicially it occurred the sowing the seedling in the cultivation enviroment MS that were enveloped with different cellophanes: yellow, blue, Green, red, and white. After 60 cultivation days it was performed an statistical evaluation on the seedling. Afterward, they were put in collective vases to the phase of acclimatization, and those ones stand for more three months. Through analyze the biometric data it can be observed that the growing in vitro and ex vitro of Phalaenopsis amabilis was influenced by many different spectra lights, considering that the various results of this influence from the genotype. It can be observed that the blue spectrum performed a great performance on cv. 6323 and on the Green spectrum cv. 6546.

This study is based on considerations regarding the teaching and learning of algebra in its introductory phase with seventh graders and eighth year of elementary school, having as final product an instructional sequence with the objective of introducing algebraic thinking more effectively. At first, there is a discussion of issues related to the introduction to the study of algebra, such as the difficulties and mistakes that students have upon the lights of the thoughts of various authors and researchers in Mathematics Education. It also provides general guidelines for teaching this subject according to official documents (Brazilian Curricular Parameters and Curricular Proposal of the State of São Paulo). Moreover, it contains a proposed instructional sequence that aims to introduce algebraic thinking effectively, bringing even discussions about the chosen methodologies. The second phase deals with the application of this sequence into two classes of eighth year of a public school from the state of São Paulo. Finally, we expose our impressions, the student outcomes and also suggestions in order to the sequence can be used and improved by other teachers.
