listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Utilização de alumínio recoberto por aspersão térmica em tubulação de condensadores evaporativos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-12-16) Baroni, Luis Felipe Sverzut; Kuri, Sebastião Elias; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6842072916153866; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3337645782698117In evaporative condenser production, galvanized steel has become the most suitable material for piping system production, since it has high corrosion resistance and relative low commercial value. With proper surface treatment, it is possible to make aluminum an efficient alternative for the replacement of galvanized steel on these refrigeration equipment. In this work, thermal spray and organic coating spray were used to cover an aluminum substrate in order to achieve a material condition with better corrosion resistance and better thermal properties. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and open circuit potential were used to evaluate different surface coatings performance. Microstructural characterization of the coatings was made through scanning electron microscope (SEM) and confocal microscope. Electrochemical tests showed that a coating composed of an inner layer of NiCr and external layer of AA1100 aluminum alloy applied by thermal spraying is not effective for the protection of aluminum tubes exposed to an alkaline environment with pH above 10.5, as in evaporative condensers piping system. Yet the coating comprised of a AA1100 aluminum alloy applied by thermal spraying and subsequent application of epoxy resin is a viable alternative for this application.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Democracia, estado e indústria em a nova política do Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-12-16) Viviani, Fabrícia Carla; Cepêda, Vera Alves; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4917331423373631; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5015093424728336The main objective of this research is to analyze the A Nova Política do Brasil a compilation of pronouncements of the Vargas First Government, between 1930-1945 , and the central themes that was broadly debated by the specialized literature of the period about the position of the Vargas First Government regarding politics, state and economy. For the first element, it is pointed out the discussions about democracy, liberalism and organicism. For the second, and related to the first, the questions of the state centralization and intervention, bringing up the idea of that state configuration. Finally, the last element, intermingled with the two firsts and separated only for analytical reasons , that evoke a discussion about the economic transformations occurred along that period, and expressed in the tensions of the agrarian vocation e industrial vocation debate. Struggle that had as result the industrial development inclination. Despite this dilemma had been pointed consensually by specialized literature, the comprehension of that process dynamics and solutions are dissensual, generating various interpretations about the theme. Thus, the proposal of this thesis is to understand the 1930-1945 period as a process in construction, moving the controversies to the idea of process, trying to get how this has occurred in the level of the relations between the actors involved. We choose focuses on state, for sake of its role of protagonist broadly recognize by the experts of the period. We aggregated to this discussion a closer look upon the Vargas first government too, taken here as a catalyst of the new pact of alliances that was forming along the period, whose definition resulted of disputes in political field. Thus, this makes plausible the analysis of discursive production of that government condensed in A Nova Política. For this intention, it was called upon to the Gramsci s ideas in relation to the process, structure and conjuncture and to Pocock and his suggestions about the interfaces between text and context.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Perspectiva CTS em estágios curriculares em espaços de divulgação científica: contributos para a formação inicial de professores de Ciências e Biologia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-12-16) Prudêncio, Christiana Andrea Vianna; Freitas, Denise de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7915790476046108In today's society, the increasing integration of Science, Technology and its products in the life of the citizen demands that he be scientifically literate, able not only to understand these issues but make conscious use of its products, taking position autonomously and critique about them. Whereas the school is still the largest area of education systematized, it is in this space that much of the population will acquire the knowledge necessary to function in the world. However, our model of teaching is still highly introductory and marked by the transmission of decontextualized knowledge and, for that, has not cooperated effectively to form the citizen that the current society needs. This form of teaching usually reaches the Degree Courses, forming a professional within a single and totalitarian conception of science, which invariably will be passed on to their students. Seeking to build with the undergraduates another way to think of science, technology and its relations with society, this research conducted an insertion activity in the discipline of Supervised Stage II, that in Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz, Ilhéus / Bahia, is exclusively devoted to spaces of Non-Formal Education, using either the assumptions of scientific literacy, STS curricular perspective and later the Freire s ideas to build another model of science education that takes into consideration the situations of exclusion and helps to fight against the inequalities of Brazilian society. The objectives of this research were to identify theoretical and methodological elements of these theoretical references in educational practices developed by undergraduates, organized in the form of extension projects; to verify possible changes in their conceptions about teaching and science in this training context and to investigate how undergraduates recognize the possibilities of incorporating these references in the context of Formal and Non-Formal Education. The interviews with undergraduates, as well as the projects developed by them reveal that there is still great resistance to a science education that considers nonscientific aspects such as socials, economics, cultural, political etc., and although some recognize that this way of teaching has space within the non-Formal Education, the image of Formal Education that they have, does not allow them to consider innovations such as a more integrated education in this space. However, many undergraduates believes the insertion of STS perspective into the classroom at all levels, and also aspire a more humanized teaching and connected to the real context within the university itself. Experiences such as these show that innovation, creativity and real life itself can be incorporated into teaching practice of these future teachers, since they are formed in this way.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estágio remunerado, formação, profissionalização e precarização do trabalho docente: um estudo a partir do Programa "Residência Educacional"(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-12-16) Brito, Solange Aparecida da Silva; Nakayama, Bárbara Cristina Moreira Sicardi; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9746628149674449; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3930429127178776The research presented is linked to the Graduate Program in Education Strictu Sensu and objectively reveal the relations of paid internship with the processes of training , professionalization and casualization of teaching , and to the context of this study , we define the internship paid guided by the law 11.788/2008, which regulates the stage for students . This is a qualitative study, which considers the dynamic relationship between the real world and subject, in a indissoluble link between objectivity and subjectivity - this inherent to the subject that can not be quantified in their actions . The proposed methodology consists of literature search and field research from document analysis and content analysis in a dynamic correlation of both. Research about professionalization and casualization of teaching, have shown that the same factors that is favor professionalize teaching work their can be favor factors of precariousness and accordingly the dynamics of paid internship The Residency Educational Program established by the State Department of Education of São Paulo , as the locus of questioning the paid internship , from document analysis and content analysis , one can see that the practice proposed in this program meets the improvement in indices of systems of avaliation of student learning , especially on SARESP , focusing on the public schools that present as more vulnerable . The Residency Educational Program employs the practice of stage features instrumentation technique that the graduates of the paid internship , develop actions from a Activies Plan that is directly linked to the learning difficulties of the classes where do the stage , and there is also the prediction of support and assistance to professors . While the possibility formative research indicates that the program does not dialogue with the Curriculum Guidelines of undergraduate courses and both the action of the trainee as your listing, closes the purpose of the program , not the training itself , but guaranteed to solve the difficulties of student learning of public schools .listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Construção civil e relações geométricas: um caminho para aprender e ensinar matemática?(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-12-16) Rodrigues, José Donizeti; Pompeu Junior, Geraldo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7146270419829114; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1280473606413184Mathematics, from the beginning of the schooling process, has occupied important position in the basic training of the citizen, as is present in different activities of our daily life and it is required in almost all selection processes, being so much educational or vocational. Over the past decades, the teaching of Geometry has been neglected in school curricula. An example is the observation that the Geometry is usually work object of the teacher in the classroom only in the last quarter of the year, so when it does not claim lack of time to present it to students, relegating it to oblivion. In addition, many students say that school Mathematics is too theoretical, it has no application in their everyday lives and, consequently, lose interest in studying it and learn it. The research reported here aimed to investigate a strategy didactic and methodological basis for the teaching-learning part of Euclidean Geometry students of 2nd year of high school, a public school in a city in the state of São Paulo. Specifically, the main objective of this research was the development of educational material that exploits mainly the geometric concepts of area, perimeter and scales present in the planning and definition of plant and model of a house from the informal knowledge of the non-professional area, such as masons, carpenters and workmen. Through a sequence of learning activities, originating from problems of construction, sought to integrate motivational elements and creative development of geometrical concepts related to construction the historical elements in the process of teaching and learning. For this was also used in this research plant construction models in the search for ease of viewing and understanding of geometrical concepts studied by students.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Cluster industrial: as tipologias, estratégias e governança na cadeia produtiva de calçados de Franca(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-12-16) Tristão, Hélcio Martins; Oprime, Pedro Carlos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9291517431456908; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2316143713984280The analysis of an industrial cluster has become the main discussion to explain the firm agglomerations success worldwide in the last decade. This discussion has given a bigger dimension in economic terms, especially about the strategic management of the local productive chains. This paper aims to contribute to the theoric development of the theme by the proposition of an industrial cluster typology method considering that the set of local variables related to the firms characteristics are essential for the strengthening of the interfirms relationship and consequently their performance. The theoretical basis of this study are the types of clusters found in literature and the research object are the footwear firms (CPCF) from Franca S. Paulo state. The data analysis used was the descriptive statistics tecnicques as well as multivaried exploratory methods. From the theoretical view this study enabled the identification of multiple characacteristics derived from different cluster typologies within the same productive chain. Which extended the perpective about the strategic role played by the local cooperation and also offered the possibility of the managers and institution representatives reflect on the governance principles adopted in collective actions.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O tutor virtual como formador: a matemática no curso de pedagogia a distância da UFSCar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-12-16) Bertini, Luciane de Fatima; Passos, Cármen Lúcia Brancaglion; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7883451343333340The making of this paper was motivated by an interest in issues concerning the formation of (future) elementary math teachers through distance education and, in a more specific way, the role tutors play in this learning mode. The question that led our investigation was: Which online tutors actions in subjects that involve mathematics in a distance Pedagogy course allow us to identify them as teachers educators? Our theory referential approached issues on the formation of teachers in Pedagogy through discussions over mathematical formation in these courses, over the tutor s role and over the peculiarities of distance education, mainly regarding collective teaching. All data were collected in the Pedagogy course through distance education at Universidade Federal de São Carlos, an affiliate institution to the Brazilian Open University System (Sistema Universidade Aberta do Brasil). The object of the study allowed us to perform a case study which aims to develop knowledge by focusing a specific case and is represented in this study by online tutors work organization. The data that compose this research are questionnaires answered by tutors and students, material that is available online, interviews given by tutors, documents and Brazilian legislation regarding distance education as well as documentation on the organization of the university s distance courses. The analysis of the data took aspects of content analysis into consideration and was performed in a qualitative method. The tutors that were part of the research performed actions that allowed us to identify them as teachers educators in different moments: when they respected specific characteristics of distance education, when they approached issues regarding mathematics content and its teaching and when they acted independently during the collective teaching process. Besides their involvement with students formation, tutors acted as educators when they got involved in their own formative process and had a reflexive view on their own performances, on the course and on the distance education of mathematics. Working conditions, the way the coordination team organized the tutors work and the way each educator conducted his work influenced the tutors performances. After conducting the analysis, it was possible to consider that the quality of a teacher formation distance course is closely related to online tutors work organization and to the possibility that he/she plays the role of a teachers educator. Therefore the aspects that enable this performance must be kept, amplified and qualified and the ones that make the practice difficult must be discussed and minimized.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Desenvolvimento e validação de métodos para o controle analítico do anti-helmíntico ricobendazole®(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-12-16) Lima, Tiago do Couto de; Forim, Moacir Rossi; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1234565160573730This study aims to develop and validate an analytical method for quantification of albendazole sulfoxide in Ricobendazole® product by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) ensuring product quality and consumer safety. The method can be considered efficient, fast and reliable to be used in routine analysis of quality control Ricobendazole®.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeito da geometria e da rigidez do projeto da prótese de quadril no estímulo ao remodelamento ósseo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-12-16) Antonialli, Armando ítalo Sette; Bolfarini, Claudemiro; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9231627080617037; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4367459395417045The stress shielding phenomenon, resulting from the large difference between materials usually employed in prosthesis and the femur Young modulus, promotes significant bone mineral density loss, which originates several complications after hip arthroplasty. In this work, cervical-diaphisary angle and stem length influence over the mechanical stimulus for the bone remodelling, besides the effect of the low modulus alloy adoption, were evaluated by numerical simulation using the finite element method. In order to validate the computational model, a circular polariscope bending test was proposed, aming to photoelastic stress analysis. Results obtained on numerical simulation and on tests with optical monitoring seem to be both well enough confluent. It can be said that stem length reduction caused considerable increase in load transfer to femur, while cervical-diaphisary angle reduction did not produce so relevant effect. The employment of a low modulus stem, on the other side, really provided the elevation of load transfer to femur on higher levels than it has been achieved by the redesign of prosthesis geometrical features. It is understood that the combination of numerical simulation and photoelastic stress analysis may clearly contribute on an improvement of hip prosthesis design and registration process at ANVISA.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Modelos mentais e o ensino de física(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-12-16) Rocha, Arquiteclino Gonçalves; Campos, Sérgio Dias; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5443100596356812; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6646944517157353The demotivation observed in the students concerning Physics led to the searching for a theoretical referential which could guide this pedagogical work. So, one understands the importance of Science teaching that contributes to a full formation of a conscious citizen that knows how to use their scientific knowledge with social responsibility. One looked for understand the difficult presented in the process of teaching and learning of Physics, focusing mainly in its important relation with Mathematics. For this, supported by PCN, it was analyzed the relation existing between the abilities and competences used in Math and Physics teaching. One also considered in the research, the different stages existing in Science learning, from which one understood the necessity of reaching the multidimensional stage in our schools. From this view, and supported by bibliographic references, it was pointed the existence of four main difficulties presented in the learning process of this subject. They are the difficulties inherent to Physics teaching, which started with the exceeding, premature and almost exclusive use of Math. There are also difficulties arising from Math learning that affect the learning of Physics. The difficulties from Portuguese language domain presented by students when reading, writing and interpreting scientific texts, limit the qualitative understanding of the subject and consequently, its conceptual understanding can be impaired. The existence of epistemological barriers, which arise from the different approaches of its own conceptual body also influence negatively the teaching and learning process of Physics. Supported by this perspective, the following question was done: What should one has to learn to teach, so the classes of Science, Physics and its integration with Math can make the knowledge more significant and, so that, multidimensional stage could be reached? The bibliographic analysis led to work in a theoretical basis with The Mental Models from Johnson-Laird . Using this theoretical support, it was elaborated and applied a didactic sequence, which was developed considering the difficulties in learning that were analyzed in this work. It was looked for understanding qualitatively the results obtained with the application of this didactic sequence. This process led to the elaboration of some topics, which were considered to be relevant in the preparation of a pedagogical activity for the teaching and learning process to be really relevant and, thus, contribute with a full citizen formation and a truly significant learning.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Materialidades da legislação linguística do Brasil e da Argentina no contexto do Mercosul(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2013-12-16) Victuri, Natália Santini; Míguez, Antón Castro; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6829358449068280; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6100300887595233La materialización de la política lingüística prevista por el MERCOSUR alcanzó su punto álgido, en Brasil, con la Ley 11.161 / 2005 y, en Argentina, con la Ley 26.468 / 2009.
