listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudos biológicos e ecotoxicológicos da espécie Philodina roseola Ehrenberg, 1830 (Rotifera, Bdelloidea)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-02-07) Moreira, Raquel Aparecida; Rocha, Odete; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7577441794992601; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4388003923600701In Brazil and other countries the agrochemical carbofurano is largely used, and can reach freshwaters and cause damages to non-target organisms. Rotifera dominates zooplankton communities of most freshwater ecosystems worldwide, both in number of species and density. In the present work biological and ecotoxicological studies in laboratory were carried out with the species Philodina roseola Ehrenberg, 1830 (Rotifera, Bdelloidea) regarding the main aspects of its biology: life cycle, filtration rates, ingestion and secondary production at 25 ± 1.0 °C, besides testing its sensitivity and performance as a test-organism for ecotoxicological studies. Also, a literature review regarding the use of rotifers as testorganisms in the evaluation of pesticides toxicity in freshwaters was carried out for the last three decades. Experiments were performed aiming to assess filtration and ingestion rates of P. roseola feeding on the microalgae Raphidocelis subcapitata at 7 different concentrations. The individual biomass (μg DW ind-1) and secondary production were determined. The main parameters obtained for P. roseola life cycle were: 23.88 ± 3.82 hours duration of embryonic development; 3.5 days generation time; 22.33 ± 2.29 eggs/female total mean fecundity and 23.0 days maximum longevity. Filtration rates varied between 2.715 and 6.615 ml ind-1d-1. Total mean individual secondary production was 0.285692 ± 0.055185 μg ind-1d-1 from which 73.42 ± 5.62 % was allocated into reproduction. P. roseola was an adequate test-organism for ecotoxicological studies considering the life cycle characteristics and response to the pesticide carbofurano with CE50 48-h values of 13.36 ± 2.63 mg L-1 and 89.32 ± 6.52 mg L-1 for the active ingredient and the commercial product, respectively. It was concluded that P. roseola has a fast development time, high metabolism as related to ingestion and filtration rates, high fecundity and moderate sensitivity to the tested pesticide. Studies on its functional response to other factors combinations and sensitivity to other toxicants should be performed.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Padrão de descrição de informação: avaliação da capacidade representacional de bens materiais(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-02-07) Almeida, Milene Rosa de; Costa, Luzia Sigoli Fernandes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8110248272001369; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0869511912072207The rural development in the Brazilian South and Southeast started in the mid-eighteenth century, initially by mining and later by coffee and sugar cane crops. Besides the economic development, the architecture and culture are highlights from these regions. In order to describe tangible and intangible rural heritage from these farms, it was developed the Information Description Standard (IDS) using theoretical and methodological Information and computer sciences precepts. The IDS is compound by 13 description groups according to the scope, content and kind of heritage assets. The parameters to obtain a completed and detailed description of the heritage assets were taken from codes, standards and librarianship, archival, museological and computer science roadmaps. This research conducted a comparative study between the IDS description fields and the standard Machine Readable Cataloging (MARC 21), widely used in libraries. The methodology used a theoretical study on rural heritage and cataloging, highlighting the MARC 21 standard, followed by the comparative analysis of IDS and MARC 21. As a result, it was pointed out that the IDS needs of small interventions to enable a more complete description of the properties identified in São Paulo historic farms. In the end, it was concluded that IDS is able to perform the descriptive representation of the rural heritage satisfactorily.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Perfil motor de escolares com Transtorno de Déficit de Atenção com Hiperatividade(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-02-07) Oliveira, Cristina Camargo de; Palhares, Marina Silveira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2203512055609330; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8812207777937239This study aimed to identify the motor profile of students with interdisciplinary diagnosis of Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity (ADHD), and compare with students with good academic performance, and to verify the incidence of Developmental Coordination Disorder in this study population. A total of 46 students participated in the study, males and females, with ages ranging from 7 to 10 years and 11 months, attending from 1st to 5th year of elementary education at public schools in cities of São Paulo state. The students were divided into two groups: Group I (GI) included 23 students with Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity; Group II (GII) included 23 students with good academic performance, paired according to gender and age group with GI group. Groups experienced motor assessment (Movement Assessment Battery for Children - Second Edition (Movement ABC - 2). MABC Test consisted of eight items grouped into three sections (manual dexterity, target and precision, and balance), parents / guardians responded to DCDQ questionnaire - Brazil, which contains 25 questions about the motor behavior of the child, and the Economic Classification questionnaire. The results were statistically analyzed in order to characterize and compare the motor profile of the students, intra and intergroup. The results showed that some of the students in GI presented indicative of Developmental Coordination Disorder, whereas in GII, none of the students presented indicative of Developmental Coordination Disorder. However, it is possible to stand out an incidence of Developmental Coordination Disorder in the population with Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity in about 43%. These findings will hopefully contribute to the knowledge about students with ADHD, helping to guide actions to assist this population by teachers, health professionals, and family.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Formulação de política de indexação para coordenadorias de comunicação social em ambientes universitários: indicadores de diretrizes para análise e representação de assuntos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-02-07) Kochani, Ardala Ponce; Boccato, Vera Regina Casari; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2400120561271067The theme of this study is the indexing policy for Coordination of Social Communication (CCSs) in university environments, focusing on indexing clippings. This theme is based on interdisciplinary characterization existing between Science, Technology and Society (STS), Information Science (CI) and Communication Sciences (CC) fields in the context of the area of Knowledge Organization to combine, share and create mechanisms that society closer to the aspects of science and technology. Regarding Social Communication highlights the use of clippings, many organizations and this instrument is appropriating to select news in various media on subjects that interest them. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate the organizational and communicational reality CCS/UFSCar, as a starting point for further studies in order lifting guidelines for establishing a policy of indexing for CCSs from context and Analysis Representation of Information. With this proposition, this research has the objective to contribute to the establishment of a policy index that optimizes the thematic treatment of clippings from the perspective of CCSs in university environments in the context of social cognitive indexer professional clippings and users who retrieve this product informational, from theoretical and methodological foundations provided by the area of Knowledge Organization. The qualitative method was used for theoretical and applied research with socio-cognitive approach, and gave up from the questionnaires and the application of Verbal Protocol Group. The methods used were: application of technical and organizational questionnaires and using the technique of Verbal Protocol Group, involving participants: directors/responsible CCSs ANDIFES linked to the brazilian federal universities; director and indexer CCS/UFSCar as well as users who clippings recover the system used by the unit. The results obtained from the questionnaires was the technical-organizational and socio-historical characterization of CCSs from brazilian federal universities and CCS/UFSCar. Mention some results obtained from the application of Verbal Protocol Group in the form: there is a concern with the procedures used to perform the indexing, there is not a satisfactory representation of the matters contained in the indexed clippings; participants suggest that the retrieved records arranged and are also available by publication type, the recognition by participants in relation to the function of preservation and institutional memory that performs clipping, and no need for a policy of indexing and his record in a manual indexing for CCS/UFSCar. The final consideration from the results obtained that depict the existing interdisciplinary STS, CI and CC fields enables collaboration scenario of theories, methodologies and practices for establishing a policy that involves the entire process of thematic information processing and, consequently, quality in both storage and retrieval of.
