Item type:Item, Políticas públicas para mulheres: implementação e desafios ao enfrentamento da violência no município de São Carlos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-16) ;Leandro, Amaranta Ursula Fiess ;Justo, Carolina Raquel Duarte de Mello ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9209489935777843https://lattes.cnpq.br/9552450378941725The present work analyses the public policies related to confronting violence against women in São Carlos city, between 2008 and 2012, from the field research carried out along with various bodies responsible for their implementation in a local sphere, regardless of being associated with the federal, state or municipal sphere of the government. The bodies are: Center of Reference for women (CRM), Women Police Station (DDM), public defender, Care Program for Women Victims of Sexual Violence (PAVAS) and Laboratory of Analysis and Prevention of Violence (LAPREV). From the documents and interviews carried out with representatives from two of these bodies, the research tried to respond: a) if the actions taken by them are based on the National Policy for Confronting the Violence against Women and Maria da Penha Law; b) which means, strategies and difficulties were found for taking such actions; and c) if there is an interconnected network in federal and intersectoral terms for the integral assistance to women victims of violence in São Carlos. The study attempts to rescue the history and reflection about the appearance of human rights, as well as the struggle of women s movements to recognize and guarantee their interests, freedom and rights, with an approach based on feminism, gender issues and the recognition of the violence against women as a public problem, which resulted in the development of the public policies for women both in international and national sphere. It was concluded that there has been a recent empowerment of these policies in Brazil through the development of law and institutional tools that broadened and directed the protective measures for women. In the case of São Carlos city, they also contributed to the local management course and initiatives, associated with the commitment to the cause, and enabled the creation of a service network integrated with all the bodies and services, although its growth, allied to a civil education of respect to women, consists of challenges to be faced in the management and implementation of more efficient policies to combat violence against women in the city.Item type:Item, Um estudo sobre o desenvolvimento de jogos orientado a modelos com codificação manual(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-17) ;Prado, Ely Fernando do ;Lucrédio, Daniel ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9090396559596221https://lattes.cnpq.br/3306310971220379The electronic gaming industry has recently witnessed an exponential growth in terms of titles and overall complexity of the games. This growth is responsible for many advances in computational technologies. But it also revealed problems related to the development process. It is very common that game projects exceed budget and schedule, not to mention the high number of bugs delivered to the final consumer. Current tools that support the development of games, such as game engines, allow great flexibility and artistic freedom, but require professionals with a high degree of technological knowledge, which means that a high financial investment is often needed. To help solving these problems, the literature suggests the use of Model-Driven Development (MDD). The increased abstraction level made possible through MDD can lead to higher reuse levels, and the automation achieved by code generation helps to reduce development time. But for automation, the developer often has to pay the price of reduced flexibility since the MDD exists a lack of flexibility in designs, but with manual code that can be overcome. Given these challenges, it is proposed an approach for game development that targets models to offer efficiency but without losing the flexibility in projects. This goal can be achieved through the integration of multiple DSLs with handwritten code, with the help of design patterns. To evaluate this approach, it was developed a tool capable of assisting the development of games following the concepts of MDD, which was subsequently subjected to experiments to validate its effectiveness. According to the experimental analysis, it was possible to observe that the proposed approach can provide the desired efficiency and flexibility in game development. It was also noted that due to the automation offered by code generators, inexperienced developers could create their projects with greater ease. However the study indicates that abstraction offered by MDD hinders the learning of the technology used. Item type:Item, O descentramento e a desracialização do nacional: estado, relações étnico-raciais e ações afirmativas no Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-18) ;Medeiros, Priscila Martins ;Silvério, Valter Robertohttps://lattes.cnpq.br/8021362429861754In this text we examined the actions of the Brazilian government, in its different dimensions, compared to the social demands and academic debates on the ethnic-racial relations. Our thesis is that race and affirmative action with racial criteria categories intend to demarcate the nation and an important frontier in Brazilian scholarship on ethnic-racial relations, unraveling the processes of racialization present in the country's history. They intend to destabilize the nation, disarticulate and implode some of the pillars of the national discourse constructed throughout the twentieth century, namely: the Brazilian people - condensed in the discourse of mixed nationality; the myth of harmonious coexistence among ethnic and racial groups; and the notion that Brazilian racism would be harmless or residual. The central objective that guided this study was to understand the conceptual and ideological ruptures and transformations within the national-state in the course of antiracist struggles and achievements of rights. More specifically, we had the following objectives: to observe the concepts that guided the Brazilian intellectual production with regard to race relations in different historical moments; rescue the major elements present in the struggles of the Brazilian black movement in the highlighted period; understand which dialogues and which deadlocks present in the relationship between the state, the black movement and academia. In temporal terms rescued, first, some (social, political and theoretical) elements occurring in Brazil and elsewhere throughout the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and that assist us in understanding the current situation. Subsequently, we focus on the period stretching from the 1980s to the present day, when it opened a new scenario to think Brazilian racism due to reformatting of the Black Movement, the adoption of the Federal Constitution of 1988 and the emergence of affirmative action. The analysis is diachronic, since it prioritizes the processes, but also focuses attention on critical events, such as the Afonso Arinos Law; the Federal Constitution of 1988; the Durban Conference (2001); the National Curriculum Guidelines for the Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations and the Education of African-Brazilian and African History and Culture; decisions of the Supreme Court with respect to coordinates (2012), among others.Item type:Item, Cientometria aplicada a materiais para armazenamento de hidrogênio(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-18) ;Chanchetti, Lucas Faccioni ;Ishikawa, Tomaz Toshimi ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5726055117451807https://lattes.cnpq.br/1941077901210789Fossil Fuels have been used for more than a century as energy sources and vectors. Albeit their high energy densities and easy transport and containment, their availability is limited and they are notorious local pollution and global warming drivers, delivering no sustainability. Hydrogen Fuel Cells are a promising alternative for its substitution. However, more technological development is necessary for the production, conversion and especially for the storage of Hydrogen. Several materials absorb hydrogen, storing it through physical or chemical bonds. Innumerous research efforts have been conducted for the discovery of new such materials and for the enhancement of their hydrogen storage properties. The present work attempted to quantify these efforts through Scientometrics, revealing their time evolution, main material classes and work strategies of countries and institutions. Scientific Publications in the field were collected and processed by Text Mining associated with Bibliometrics. Technological Indicators were elaborated and analyzed with Technological Forecasting and Competitive Intelligence tools. We mapped the time evolution of the publications in the field, in the Materials Classes and in the main countries, the concentration of efforts per Country, and the main Institutions per Materials Class. From 2010 we observed a reduction in the number of Publications, related to the frustration of the exaggerated expectancies generated in the previous decade s Hydrogen Hype, associated with the transfer of efforts to Battery based Electrical and Hybrid Vehicles. Among the Materials classes, Metal Organic Frameworks stood out for their highest number of publications and growth, although its research only recently gained momentum. The main Countries were split into those that showed a recent growth in the number of publications and those that stagnated after 2010. From the general analysis of the field and the strategies of the main countries and research institutions, we expect to support decision making in the field, concerning amongst others: the allocation of human and monetary resources, effort directing, partnership formation and benchmarking.Item type:Item, Os sentidos de povo nos pronunciamentos presidenciais de posse: de 1985 a 2011(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-18) ;Luz, Marcelo Giovannetti Ferreira ;Piovezani Filho, Carlos Félix ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1677609008094603https://lattes.cnpq.br/1026775694153077We aim with this dissertation, conduct an analysis of discursive pronouncements tenure of the presidents of the Republic, in order to ascertain the effects of meaning of the word "people" produced in these speeches, along with the images of themselves that every president conveys, in building "us "political as well as the image of the auditorium of these pronouncements. For this, we take as our research corpus pronouncements tenure of presidents Tancredo Neves (1985), José Sarney (1985), Fernando Collor de Melo (1990), Franco (1992), Fernando Henrique Cardoso (1994, 1999), Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (2003, 2007) and Dilma Rousseff (2011). We promote a brief characterization of the political discourse, we make a theoretical route, introducing some important caveats to our analysis of its operation. Thus, we try to show how it gives the relationship of what is meant by politics and what became known as political discourse. A third point to be addressed is the formation of identities and the legitimacy and political discourse in an attempt to better understand the subject that gives the president the power to say. Then, by considering the pronouncement presidential inauguration ritual that requires a specific discourse genre, we briefly discuss about some considerations about the discourse genre, topic that is discussed further in the discussion of specific genres and ritual part, we make a parallel between the ritual inauguration and gender pronouncement of possession. To help us meet our analyzes, we present a discussion of the notion of Production Conditions of discourse in order to show how this concept becomes productive for understanding the production of meanings in the discourse. Having analyzed the senses of people present in the above pronouncements of possession, promote, in the third chapter, an analysis of how the image is constructed in these presidential speeches, with reference to the meanings produced for "people" in the previous chapter, ie, how the subjects presidents create an image of themselves in relation to the senses of the people present in his speech. At the conclusion of this work, one can see that the sense of "people" acquires a watery consistency, slipping widely not only from a speech to another, as even within a single discourse, producing effects of various senses, which corroborates the assertion that these senses, this division does not watertight, but acquires new and constantly different contours.Item type:Item, Avaliação de procedimentos de digestão de amostras da cadeia produtiva de materiais escolares usando forno de micro-ondas com cavidade(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-19) ;Garcia, José Augusto ;Pereira Filho, Edenir Rodrigues ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3394181280355442https://lattes.cnpq.br/7138636023119781This study aimed to optimize the digestion of solid samples using microwave oven with closed flasks and understand the physicochemical parameters involved in this process. The development of this study was based on EN71 / 3 and CPSC-CH_E1001-08 standards. We performed a fractional factorial design (screening) to identify the significant variables for the process. The variables studied were volume of HNO3, heating program conditions, the addition of analytes and residual. The following responses were used to identify the most important variables: acidity of digested (%), the presence of the remaining solids digestion process (%), and recovery of previously added analytes (Pb and Cr). After identification of significant variables it was possible to set some parameters of the system and a new full factorial design 2³ (Design 1) was performed for 10 different types of samples, and the variables studied addition of H2O2, addition of analytes and sequential digestion. The responses observed were previously added recoveries of analytes (Ba, Cd, Cr, Hg, and Pb) and presence of the remaining solids digestion process (%). Data of Desing 1 was evaluated using multivariate analysis in order to detect clusters and trends among the strains. A new full factorial design 2³ (Design 2) was performed with selected samples and the following variables investigated: addition of H2O2, addition of analytes and volume of HNO3. The responses observed for Design 2 were recoveries of analytes previously added (Ba, Cd, Cr, Hg, and Pb), and comparison between the two systems digestion microwave assisted samples. The conclusions are that it is not possible to digest samples with different physicochemical characteristics in the same batch, the proposed system is not recommended for the determination of Cd and Hg and the proposed system can be used in order to perform a screening in samples.Item type:Item, Desenvolvimento e validação de métodos rápidos para analises de resíduos de fármacos e pesticidas em matrizes biológicas e vegetais por LC-MS/MS(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-19) ;Freitas, Diego Ruiz de ;Rodrigues Filho, Edsonhttps://lattes.cnpq.br/3667941735597178The increased demand for chemical analysis and the growing concern with the environment implies in the urgency for more modern analytical methods of extraction and analysis to be developed and validated, seeking a significant reduction in solvent consumption and analysis time. In the present work it was purpose to make use of modern, cheaper and faster sample extraction techniques, as well as chromatographic system based on ultrafast chromatograph systems (UHPLC), using columns packet with reduced diameter of particles that enable to reduce significantly the time of analysis, solvent consumption and reagents, and coupling with mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). All developed methods were fully validated according to the RDC 27/2012 and the RDC 04/2012 in the case of pesticides. All results are within the parameters required for each standard validation. An average 50% reduction in analytical costs, increasing profitability, and the productive capacity of laboratories with the reduction of materials and analysis time where achieved.Item type:Item, Desenvolvimento de nanocompósitos de blendas PA6/ABS compatibilizadas com copolímeros funcionalizados(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-22) ;Castro, Lucas Daniel Chiba de ;Oliveira, Amanda Dantas de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/0010723066123700 ;Pessan, Luiz Antoniohttps://lattes.cnpq.br/8276650236213537Nanocomposites based on polyamide 6 (PA6) and acrylonitrile-butadienestyrene (ABS) blends compatibilized with styrene-maleic anhydride-acrylonitrile (SANMA) and methyl methacrylate-maleic anhydride (MA-MMA) were prepared by melt blending in a twin screw extruder through different mixing protocols. The nanoclay incorporation effect, different compatibilizing systems and components mixing sequence were evaluated in morphological, mechanical, thermal, thermomechanical and rheological properties. Evidences of chemical interactions between PA6 and reactive copolymers were observed by torque rheometry. XRD analysis indicates an exfoliated structure for all the nanocomposites due to the good interaction between PA6/OMMT. The significant increase in nanocomposites viscosity when compared with their respective ternary blends corroborates the results obtained by XRD. TEM micrographs show a strong influence of both reactive copolymers on polymer blends morphology, where the presence of SANMA and MMA-MA is responsible for reducing the dispersed phase particle size when compared to the uncompatibilized blend. TEM images confirm the existence of an exfoliation structure in all nanocomposites. The addition of both reactive copolymers significantly increased the ternary blends toughness when compared with PA6/ABS. Furthermore, the nanoclay incorporation enhanced the elasticity modulus and HDT of the nanocomposites but also reduced the toughness and the elongation at break when compared with their respective compatibilized blends.Item type:Item, O uso do software régua e compasso na aprendizagem do conceito de cálculo de áreas de figuras planas no ensino fundamental(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-22) ;Abreu, Silvio Luis Amâncio de ;Seixas, Wladimir ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1697352974728327https://lattes.cnpq.br/4553952112717343This research aims to use the Ruler and Compass software in performing activities that seek to build the concept of calculation of areas of plane figures at the elementary school level and to promote interaction between teacher-student and studentstudent. For this, I chose as the theme of work with teachers the "Introduction to Algebra". Studies carried out in Board of Education of Votorantim, between the years 2011 and 2013, indicated that issues related to this subject showed the lowest levels of learning in students of final years of elementary and high school. The choice of this theme, too, is justified by its importance in the possible contributions it brings to the students' learning about the transposition from the "mother tongue" to "mathematical/algebraic language" during the process of solving equations of the 1st degree. The research sought to answer the following questions: (1st) The Technical Guidelines of Mathematics, performed before the study, helped to improve the performance of teachers in the classroom, their professional backgrounds and the learning process of their students? (2nd) The amendments made during the search, the Technical Guidelines of Mathematics, on the topic "Introduction to Algebra", contributed to improving the performance of teachers in the classroom, towards their professional qualifications and learning their students? (3rd) With the modifications introduced in the Technical Guidelines of Mathematics, which the facilitating factors and difficulties to in-service training and the performance of teachers in the classroom were observed? (4th) What contributions to the planning, execution, analysis and discussion of research data brought to my training "trainer of trainers in mathematics" for Elementary School, the region of Votorantim/SP? and finally, (5th) What criticisms and recommendations can be made at the end of the research? The hypotheses that the guidelines agreed in TG, prior to the survey, were worked in the classroom and that it improved the development of specific mathematical skills of the students involved were not fully supported by research conducted. Consequently, research has brought me certain that the form of TG driving Mathematics, in DE-Votorantim, should be modified in the near future. Finally, this research has great contributions to my professional life, when it comes to math, didactic and pedagogical knowledge. In personal life I learned that I need to think/investigate the whys and how to encourage teachers under my supervision to realize that learning through discoveries are rewarding.Item type:Item, “Contrariando a estatística”: a tematização dos homicídios pelos jovens negros no Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-24) ;Ramos, Paulo César ;Silvério, Valter Roberto ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9421231847055027https://lattes.cnpq.br/5326866987114044Homicides in Brazil have become a major social problem in recent decades. Young black males are the main victims. This paper presents a genealogy of the way black young people have brought the theme of murder and violence against blacks to the national agenda, from spaces of social participation, the black social movement and public youth policies. We conducted about 20 interviews with militants from black movements and other actors related to the topic. We also use data from fieldwork and participant observation, as well as reports, manifests, pamphlets and photographs, in order to understand when and how long these problems have been thematized. We tried to reflect on how the black movement thematicises violence / murder, its limits and potentials, contradictions and innovations in dialogue with social theory about recognition, identity and race relations. It has been possible to identify important moments of the trajectory of black movement, for example: violence as a reason for both performing public acts and for the emergence of organizations, such as the Unified Black Movement (MNU) until the 2000s; violence as the strongest theme of rap lyrics; and, in the last 15 years, violence / homicides against black youth as a central reason for the emergence of black youth as a new category of political action. In this work, gained prominence the Youth Alive Plan (2012-2013), the Working Group Black Youth and Public Policies of the National Youth Council (2008-2010), and The First National Conference of Black Youth (2005-2008) . Among the various ways of categorizing this issue, the term "genocide" draws attention - the was first used by Abdias do Nascimento to denounce racism and it is now widely used by social movements. Among the various forms of organization of young blacks, the claim for leadership of a brand new generation of militants is also emerging, with a set of experiences that allow them to create semantic bridges to act on the institutional sphere and demand public policies against violence.Item type:Item, PSF e ODM: a influência do Programa Saúde da Família para os estados brasileiros atingirem a meta de mortalidade na infância dos objetivos de desenvolvimento do milênio(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-24) ;Pedro, Márcio Vinícius ;Justo, Carolina Raquel Duarte de Mello ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9209489935777843https://lattes.cnpq.br/2060331534435669What influence Family Health Program‟ (in portuguese, Programa Saúde da Família, or PSF) had on Brazilian states in their attempt to achieve the Millennium Development Goals - especially on reducing infant mortality until 2015? In 2000, the United Nations along with global leaders established an international research agenda with eight Millennium Development Goals, intending to promote human dignity. The purpose of the present thesis is to evaluate the influence of the Family Health Program - the main strategy to reformulate the basic care - in reducing child mortality within Brazilian states. For this matter, I analyze descriptive and inferential statistics, with bi and multivariate techniques, and data from DATASUS, IBGE and SIGO databases. The present thesis covers the period from 2000 to 2011, when Brazil reached the goal. Throughout this time ten states went above the goal specified by ODM (1,79): in all of them the Program had low range. However, the states with higher PSF range presented higher average rates of reduction of infant mortality. Overall, the hypothesis that PSF has a positive influence on reducing infant mortality rate can be confirmed, considering that the states with higher reduction of the rate had a higher proportion of population benefiting from the PSF.Item type:Item, Folhas de atividades para o ensino de função afim e quadrática : conceito e aplicações(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-25) ;Silva, Roberta Angela da ;Paterlini, Roberto Ribeiro ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6240750958932738https://lattes.cnpq.br/1644175302146871After a careful evaluatation of my students, my principal investigator and I decided that students with difficulties in higher learning will be chosen, in this case, the first year of High School students in the three cities Jaboticabal, Monte Alto and Pontal. The math content to be worked upon was chosen from the assessment of difficulty students had learning first and second degree functions, as well as the importance the subject has when applied to other disciplines, such as Physics. To facilitate learning of these subjects, four activity sheets were composed to help improve text comprehension and reasoning, and consequently subject knowledge in such a way that the student builds the foundation concepts as to derive the affine and quadratic functions. Interactive exercises of multiple difficulties were prepared to inspire curiosity between students when solving problems. The exercises were designed to allow the students as much autonomy to finding solutions. The students were expected to develop: regularity identification, table-algebraic-graphic conversions, develop a problem situation without a previous explanation; relationship with the concept of affine function, justifying its proportionality; relationship with the concept of quadratic function; graphic analysis of quadratic functions; maximums and minimums; problems treatments on numeric fields and assay for algebraic fields; enthusiasm developing the activities; participation on activities discussion; the ability developing a problem situation with connection to different contexts; that the student had as much autonomy as possible on exercises solution; that the students build strategies and knowledge, given structure and organization to their thoughts, reaching a higher level of abstraction. Students were organized into pairs and encouraged to discuss while working on the activity sheet and review with each other in other classes the methods employed to solve the problems before the solutions were provided.Item type:Item, Polimorfismos genéticos e desempenho físico em jogadores de futebol das categorias de base do São Paulo Futebol Clube(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-26) ;Dionísio, Thiago José ;Cardoso, Sandra Lia do Amaralhttps://lattes.cnpq.br/2030708742766455Literature reports that genetic polymorphisms may determine important modulations on athletes phenotypes, such as height, cardiovascular adaptations, use of energy substrates as well as electrolyte and hormonal balance. It is possible that individuals who express the alpha actinin 3 gene (ACTN3; ancestral homozygous RR or heterozygous RX) may offer advantages in movements that require strength and fast twitch compared with individuals with XX genotype. ACTN3 is a sarcomeric Z line component, which is important for the actin filaments anchorage and myofibrillar arrangement maintenance. Regarding AMP deaminase (AMPD1) polymorphism, it has been reported that athletes with the mutant allele (allele T) may present disadvantages in intense and repetitive physical activities, since the enzyme encoded by this gene is responsible for the ATP resynthesis after intense muscle contractions. Polymorphisms in the angiotensin converting enzyme gene (ACE; deletion allele D) and angiotensinogen (AGT; mutated allele T) may favor athletes in activities requiring strength, due to the fact of higher Angiotensin (Ang) II circulating levels. The present study investigated whether polymorphisms in ACTN3, AMPD1, ACE and AGT genes, alone or in combination, may influence the hemodynamic and cardiac parameters as well as soccer players performance during physical tests such as jump, speed and endurance. Saliva from 220 young professional soccer players (14-20 years) from São Paulo Futebol Clube (Brazil) was collected. Then, total DNA was extracted from saliva and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used for genotyping of athletes. To provide more reliability to the study, athletes were also separated according to their age. Before this separation, the athletes with the mutation in the ACTN3 gene jumped lower heights in Squat Jump test (SJ) (RR/RX = 33.64 ± 5.31 vs XX = 30.81 ± 4.51 cm, p = 0.007), as well as in the Under (U)-15 (RR/RX = 34.88 ± 5.39 vs XX = 30.59 ± 4.07 cm, p = 0.04) and U- 17 (RR/RX = 35.82 ± 4.35 vs XX = 30.24 ± 5.16 cm, p = 0.01) categories. In the Counter Movement Jump test (CMJ), RR/RX jumped 37.26 ± 5.72 cm and XX 34.12 ± 4.84 cm (p = 0.005). In the U-17 category, RR/RX jumped 38.56 ± 5.69 cm and XX 32.90 ± 6.06 cm (p = 0.02). In the Counter Movement Jump with arms (CMJb) test, with all athletes, RR/RX jumped 43.85 ± 6.38 cm and XX 40.61 ± 5.06 cm (p = 0.009). The speed test (30 m) showed in the U-17 category that RR/RX were faster than the XX athletes (RR/RX = 4.13 ± 0.13 vs XX = 4.27 ± 0 17 s, p = 0.04). Regarding AMPD1 gene, no significant difference was found in the jumps and endurance tests, but in the speed test (10 m), CC athletes were faster than those with CT/TT genotypes (CC = 1.53 ± 0.19 vs CT/TT = 1.62 ± 0.16 s, p = 0.04). Athletes with DD genotype (ACE) jumped significantly higher in CMJb test compared with ID/II (DD = 44.37 ± 6.22 vs ID/II = 42.35 ± 6.23 cm, p = 0.02). In the U-17 category, DD athletes jumped higher in SJ (DD = 38.04 ± 5.00 vs ID/II = 33.16 ± 4.11 cm, p = 0.01), CMJ (DD = 41.03 ± 5.64 vs ID/II = 35.76 ± 4.26 cm, p = 0.01) and CMJb (DD = 48.62 ± 5.98 vs ID/II = 42.42 ± 4.81 cm, p = 0.007). In the endurance test, athletes from U-16 category with genotypes ID/II, traveled greater distances compared with DD (ID/II = 1.467 ± 63.70 vs DD =1.244 ± 64.25 m, p = 0.04). The DD genotype also favored athletes in speed test (30 m), either for players from U-14 category (DD = 4.29 ± 0.19 vs ID/II = 4.40 ± 0.16 s, p = 0.02) or for the U- 17 category (DD = 4.07 ± 0.15 vs ID/II = 4.20 ± 0.13 s, p = 0.04). AGT gene polymorphism did not influence the performance in the tests, but athletes with the mutant genotype (TT) showed greater left ventricle (LV) hypertrophy (114.6 ± 105.2 g/m2 for TT, 92.16 ± 18.88 g/m2 for MT and 94.78 ± 21.08 g/m2 for MM, p = 0.04) without any change in cardiac and other hemodynamic parameters. Greater LV hypertrophy (DD = 96.95 ± 19.96, ID = 90.14 ± 21.58 and II = 91.67 ± 21.09 g/m2, p = 0.04) and higher ejection fraction (DD = 71.73 ± 7.71, ID = 69.48 ± 6.51 and II = 68.59 ± 5.72 %, p = 0.02) were also found in the athletes with the DD genotype. The analysis of genes combination on athletic performance, when characteristics of strength and muscle fast twitch in the ranking by score were taken into account, showed that athletes with the highest scores (5-8) jumped higher than those with lower scores (1-4) in SJ test (score 5 to 8 = 33.80 ± 5.16 vs score 1 to 4 = 31.60 ± 5.22 cm, p = 0.01) and CMJ test (score 5 to 8 = 43.90 ± 6.85 vs score 1 to 4 = 41.87 ± 5.98 cm, p = 0.04). The present results suggest that RR/RX (ACTN3), DD (ACE) and CC (AMPD1) genotypes may benefit soccer players in activities requiring strength and fast twitch. In addition, ID/II genotypes seem to provide more resistance to athletes in endurance activity. In the future, the organization, standardization and ethical responsibility will be required in the management of these genetic markers for use in athletes training process.Item type:Item, Estratégia de operações: estudos de caso em revendas de gás LP em cidades do nordeste do Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-26) ;Muniz, Luiz Fabiano de Oliveira ;Alves Filho, Alceu Gomes ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7885557554922569https://lattes.cnpq.br/3604895073518429One of the key factors for a successful resale of gas has, besides the relevant issues to any type of business it is maintaining a strategy aligned operations in which the Company Distributor maintains trade relations. Besides helping in the success of business strategies Distributor, resale becomes an agent of accomplishment and execution of the sale, despite its absolutely independent management. The goal of any organization, regardless of what it proposes to accomplish is to survive. But to enable such condition is very critical to have clearly defined what your positioning, as well as necessary for its operation presents a position to deliver the requirements sought by their customers attributes. In other words, this means that for an organization to be successful, it must, among other factors, the establishment of a goal to be achieved, the identification and understanding of the characteristics of competitors, differential required for operation and development of capabilities and new differential. This work aimed to study how dealers three gas companies, in northeastern Brazil, faithful to the same distributor develop their strategies and operations which the results obtained by them. To achieve this goal, first a literature able to support the development of a theoretical framework in order to develop a thorough knowledge of the subject studied and to establish a conceptual framework focused on field research, which was composed of studies was conducted case of exploratory and qualitative performed in each of the companies analyzed. After the description of the individual case studies, a cross was made of the results obtained, which were compared to identify similar characteristics and differences between companies. It was found that among the retailers studied, those with the highest level of integration with the distributor have trained to generate the expected results for its owners operating their function. In addition, issues such as defining strategic priorities, better level of service, investments and consistent development of decision areas become more favorable than that which does not share the same degree of integration.Item type:Item, Estruturação da blenda de PP/PVMS na presença de nanopartículas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-26) ;Dutra, Regiane Defacio ;Bretas, Rosario Elida Suman ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2805349172281345https://lattes.cnpq.br/3954788812913703Blends technology get by mechanical blend extends the range of polymer properties and makes it possible to fit them for specific applications. The performance and the mechanical properties of immiscible polymer blends are driven by the morphology and dependent on the type and process conditions, in addition to the Interfacial properties. Polymer blends containing nanoparticles have been studied in relation to two main roles that they can play in a blend; one related to improvement of properties (mechanical, thermal, electrical barrier, etc) and other related to the modification of miscibility/compatibility and blend morphology. In this work was evaluated the structuration of PP/PVMS blend with nanoparticles of Silica (SiO2) and Halloysite (HNT), the possibility of them acting as compatibilizer and best process conditions in twin screw extruder and injection molding to achieve a good dispersion and distribution and PVMS phase into PP matrix. Was made a previous study about nanoparticle content, time and mixture sequence, by torque reometer, to define the compositions which were studied in the next (extrusion and injection). Morphology and micro-rheology were studied and their correlation with the mechanical properties was made. By means of this analysis it was noticed that the PVMS domains were smaller in the nanoparticle presence, however were not small enough to toughen the blend. An increase in impact resistance was observed, proving that the nanoparticles showed an additive effect, but no synergistic. The best results were obtained for the blend with HNT that can be attributed to its greater aspect ratio and the content to be above the percolation threshold allowing the formation of a three-dimensional network that prevented PVMS coalescence by means of a physical barrier. Micro-rheology analysis indicated that the nanoparticles was located preferentially in the PP, while the wettability parameter indicated their were located on the interface. Both analyses can be explained by kinetic aspects, which demonstrated that the mixing time used blends preparation was not enough to all particles migrate to the interface.Item type:Item, Preparo e caracterização de material de referência de solo para nutrientes e contaminantes inorgânicos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-26) ;Verhalen, Tatiane Rosane ;Nogueira, Ana Rita de Araújo ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7034773971317045https://lattes.cnpq.br/6996574853570916The certified reference materials make an important role in the establishment of traceability in analytical chemistry, ensuring reliability and accuracy to the measurements and are fundamental for the validation of analytical methods. The demand for new certified reference materials increases in all areas of knowledge, with emphases to the agriculture. Basis for the production of farming products, the demand for soil analysis is great and the existence of a reference material of a typical Brazilian soil is important to ensure the quality of results. In this context, the present work describe the preparate and the characterization of a national reference material for Cr, Pb, Cd, and As soil contaminants and Ca, P, Mg, K, Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn, and Na macro and micronutrients. The material was produced following the internationally accepted ISO Guides 30-35 norms considering the preparation and packaging, homogeneity, short and long term stability, and material characterization and certification. A Typic Paleudult soil was artificially contaminated with As, Cd, Cr, and Pb, added as salt solutions from Pb(NO3)2; Cd(NO3)2.4H2O; Na2HAsO4.7H2O, and Cr(NO3)3.9H2O salts. After 12 month of contamination, 65 kg of soil was dried at room temperature, ground (particles size < 390μm), homogenized, packaged and irradiated with gamma ray (20 - 25 kGy) aiming to increase the shelf-life. The analyte soil extractions were based on methodology recommended by Brazilian legislation (CONAMA N° 420), with in turn follows the protocol established by American environmental agency (USEPA 3051). It was performed by assisted microwave oven with the use of 14 mol L-1 HNO3. The evaluation of the estimate minimum amount, homogeneity and stability of the material were carried out, using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP OES) determination technique. The results were submitted to analysis of variance of single factor (ANOVA). The homogeneity and stability of the material presented means within a confidence interval of 95% for As, Cd, Pb, Cr, Ca, Cu, Fe, Na, K, Mg, Mn, and P. The chemical characterization of the material was performed through a collaborative test and the uncertainties related to each step of the material prepare were calculated to obtain the expanded uncertainty for each one of the analytes and to the final drafting of the control chart with the results of the reference material.Item type:Item, Bresser-Pereira : pensamento como ação política(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-26) ;Miranda, Daniel Estevão Ramos de ;Nogueira, Marco Aurélio ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2644317935020891https://lattes.cnpq.br/6336876650420963The objective of this research is to analyze the intellectual production of Luiz Carlos Bresser-Pereira. The two main themes in his work are development and bureaucracy, accompanied, however, by a whole thematic constellation that gravitates around them – media class, nation, political pacts, state, entrepreneur, inflation, among others. Methodologically, it starts from the analytical suggestions of linguistic contextualism and from the research program on Brazilian political thought lineages, taken as assumption that the thought is a mode of political action. Thus, it is described, in the trajectory and work of Bresser-Pereira, the rupture and discontinuity – most visible elements –, but the regularity and resumption too. The main result of research is that the his intellectual production acquires more sense when referred to his performance in the many contexts in which it has moved. Not only factual contexts, but linguistic too. That means, it is his trajectory as actor and author that gives more sense to his work.Item type:Item, Um empreendedor de políticas públicas em ação:Bresser Pereira e a reforma da administração pública de 1995 no Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-09-29) ;Leite, Leonardo Queiroz ;Capella, Ana Cláudia Niedhardthttps://lattes.cnpq.br/4126245563194499This study aims to understand and clarify the role of the former Minister of Federal Administration and State Reform (1995 1998), Luiz Carlos Bresser Pereira, in the strategic position of the main formulator of the public management reform in Brazil. In this sense, we will provide a Reform explanation observing how the political and intellectual construction of this public policy directly derived from the persuasive action Bresser Pereira in exercising the "power of ideas". Here, we consider as essential the structural limits of the Ministry of Federal Administration and State Reform as the fundamental political and institutional locus for the formulation of policy reform. Thus, through the analysis of the profile and policy measures undertaken by the former minister Bresser, according to the theoretical framework adopted, with particular emphasis on the theoretical model of John Kingdon, we verify the existence of a typical policy entrepreneur in action. Therefore, we demonstrate that Bresser Pereira exercised the intellectual and political leadership at the time of construction and dissemination of the main principles of the o called "New Public Management" in Brazil, supporting the reform policy of the first Fernando Henrique Cardoso s administration. Our focus on the performance and characteristic profile of the chosen entrepreneur reveals that the individual action of the actors is an important dimension in public policy production process. Thus, we intend to contribute to enrich the academic production in the field of political science and its intersection with the area of public policy, filling analytical gaps about the performance of policy entrepreneurs, providing a new theoretical and empirical analysis research about the State Reform in Brazil.
