listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A produção científica sobre a história da Química: um mapeamento das produções brasileiras(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-12-12) Santos, Douglas Felipe dos; Furlan, Elaine Gomes Matheus; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3179865576965852This work aims to broaden the search for studies related to the History of Science, specifying the History of Chemistry and the concepts involved in these studies. In this sense, the objective of this research was to conduct a bibliographic survey of the scientific production on the History of Chemistry in Brazil, analyzing some Graduate Programs, as well as journals and events related to the field of Chemistry, mapping the academic production of recent years in relation to: quantities, objectives, keywords, target audience, methodologies, theoretical frameworks, and abstracts of the studies found, considering the methodological aspects discussed by Severino (2007) and Lakatos and Marconi (2011). The results obtained were forwarded in three aspects: quantitative analysis; mapping by titles and authors; and indexing of the works found. Thus, it is understood that this monograph contributes to the field, as it highlights the scarcity of works focused on the topic addressed here, especially in specific events of Education and Teaching of Chemistry, in addition to diagnosing main research trends.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise de duas bibliotecas públicas em Sorocaba (SP): proposta de roteiro turístico cultural(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-12-12) Tavares, Ana Carolina Pasquoto; Lana, Rita de Cássia; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1816504631940006; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7014544726268020Within the thematic tourism and libraries the work here presented aims to analyze two public libraries located in Sorocaba(SP), taking in consideration characteristics such as book collection and architecture, and the diversity of the events that take place in these public libraries looking for state their turistic potencial. The catalysts with 8 wt.% of Ni, Co or Ni-Co were prepared by dry impregnation and characterized with X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Temperature Programmed Reduction (TPR) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA). The catalytic tests were carried out at the molar ratio H2O/C3H6O = 6 of three ways: i) Thermal decomposition of C3H6O as a function of temperature between 523 and 973K; ii) SRA reaction as a function of temperature between 523 and 873K; and iii) SRA reaction in presence of H2 as a function of temperature. The stability tests were carried out for 4 hours at 773 and 4 hours at 873K. The thermal decomposition of acetone in homogeneous phase was significant above 923K. The SRA on reduced catalysts occur at temperatures above 773K, with conversion in a mixture of H2, CO2, CO and minor conversion to CH4 and C2H4. On Cocontaining catalysts, the SRA occurs via pyrolytic mechanism with the activation of C3H6O by cleavage of C-H bonds, followed of C-C and C-O bonds and oxidation of C formed by H2O. The Ni-containing catalyst, in the presence of H2, is active at lower temperatures (523K) than Co-containing catalysts with conversion predominantly to CH4. The results indicate that the H2 instead of C3H6O reduce of NiO on surface and the intermediates of acetone activation on reduce Ni surface is hydrogenate to CH4 at low temperatures. The thermogravimetric analysis of used catalysts demonstrate greater carbon accumulation on Ni than on Co-containing catalysts.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo do papel da ADAM9 na disseminação tumoral via sistema linfático: possível alvo farmacológico(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-12-12) Micocci, Kelli Cristina; Araújo, Heloísa Sobreiro Selistre de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4065824911933203; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5602101431025314Tumor spreading occurs mainly by two pathways: through blood vessels and by lymphatic vessels, but the last is preferred by breast tumor cells. Some proteins are involved in cell adhesion and proteolysis, causing metastasis, such as ADAMs, a family of multi-domain and multi- functional proteins that contribute in these processes. ADAM9, a member of this family, has been increased in a large number of human carcinomas, including, breast cancer. In this context, the aim of this study was to evaluate the role of ADAM9 in tumor spreading via blood and lymphatic systems, in the search for new targets and focusing the development of new therapeutical tools. Therefore, MDA-MB-231 breast tumor cells were silenced for ADAM9 and tested with respect to their adhesive and invasive activity against blood and lymphatic endothelium. Our results showed that ADAM9 silencing in MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells inhibited the invasion of this cells in matrigel (71.51 ± 8.02%) when compared to control cells, without affecting cell adhesion, proliferation, migration, and gene expression of the ADAM10, ADAM12, ADAM-17, cMyc, MMP9, VEGF-A, VEGF-C, Osteopontin and Collagen XVII, however, there was a decrease in the expression of the ADAM15 and increased expression of MMP2 when compared to controls. Furthermore, ADAM9 silencing did not affect the adhesion under flow to these vascular endothelial cells (HMEC-1 and HUVEC) and lymphatic (HMVEC-dLyNeo-Der). However, there was a decrease in the rate of trans-endothelial migration through the monolayer endothelial cells (HUVEC, HMEC-1 and HMVEC-dLyNeo-Der) by approximately 50%, 40% and 32%, respectively. In conclusion, ADAM9 showed to be essential in invasion and extravasation of MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells through the blood and lymphatic vessels in vitro.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A escola no acampamento do MST: institucionalização e gestão estatal da escola itinerante Carlos Marighella(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-12-12) Amboni, Vanderlei; Bezerra Neto, Luiz; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4809080593333472; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9250782741810709The thesis contains a study on the School in MST Camp: Institutionalization and Management of State Itinerant School Carlos Marighella. The problem of this study lies in the way of managing the traveling school in the MST camp, the contradiction is present with regard to the class struggle and interests defending, as Brazil is, par excellence, the land of large estates and, he, a deep social inequality in rural and urban areas, that can be characterized as social apartheid. In this regard, it is noteworthy that the construction of the Itinerant School has history and school history in the MST has the story of the struggle for agrarian reform. In these struggles, the Paraná bears the mark of the explosion of class struggle in the countryside, whose centrality is in the mechanization of agriculture, land concentration and construction of dams in Santiago Jump and Itaipu, which displaced more than 3,000 families from their land. In the struggle for land, northwest region of Paraná brings the land occupation and school occupation as dispute space. There is, in this struggle, the occupation of Fazenda Santa Filomena, in Planaltina of Paraná, and with it the construction of Camp Elias Gonçalves de Meura. This camp was built Itinerant School Marighella Carlos, who was born as a public school in 2004, which started teaching activities in a stable. Therefore, our purpose was to this school, meet its internal structure and forms of management. So our object is the school management. So we ask ourselves: How is the management of a school of MST in the capitalist state structure? There is an autonomous management from the State? Management mechanisms that are present in the Itinerant School? Collegiate bodies that are present in the school structure? How is the social control of the Itinerant School? In this sense, the school management is the MST or no state control over school management? Given these issues, our intention was to investigate the School Itinerant Carlos Marighella both the organizational aspects, the management, the administrative, educational and financial dimensions, from 2004 to 2013. Therefore, we undertook a bibliographic nature of research and interviews. In literature, the empirical sources consulted were the texts and MST works on education, and the documents produced by the MEC, SEED and State Councils of Education relevant to Education Field and Itinerant Schools. Besides these, we also drew the texts produced by several researchers who analyzed the Itinerant Schools in the different aspects of studies. Interviews were conducted with members of the MST Education Sector, educators and students of EI, public officials and school community camping. The reflections on the school management, despite being a singularity as pedógica experience, to be tensioned by the conflict of land, EI is not the government school, nor he directed. She is the dual management, but brings in your organization elements of the socialist school of work as selforganization in the training process. This is the meaning of this research thesis answered.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Gestão da cadeia de suprimentos na indústria citrícola: uma proposta de modelo de planejamento integrado utilizando dinâmica de sistemas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-12-12) Ferreira, José Orlando; Batalha, Mario Otávio; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1015001063418091; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2948025190467247Suitable coordination systems are crucial to the sustained competitiveness of agribusiness systems. Nevertheless, some agribusiness systems have serious deficiencies in their integrated planning, generating with negative disputes between the members in the chain, which can lead in many cases to the loss of competitiveness. The orange agribusiness system, which has a significant importance as a currency generator and employment, not only in Brazil but also in many other countries, has faced serious problems of competitiveness. Disease threats, particularly, with the "greening" as the most critical, additionally the continuous competition for land with the sugarcane agribusiness system, have led the so-called "citrus belt" moving increasingly towards the southern state of São Paulo. This situation has led to increased costs and reducing the productivity and efficiency throughout the whole chain. The Brazilian citrus industry should search for urgent solutions, which cannot only bring longevity to the business, but also as a more critical issue: their own survival. Thus, this study aims to verify whether the gradual introduction of new varieties of orange and the development of a model of integrated planning within the technical of system dynamics can contribute to improve the performance and the competitiveness of this agribusiness system. The research method used was deductive hypothetical with the necessary information was gathered through semi-structured questionnaires and personal interviews with agents in the sector. The model was applied to the part of the citrus production chain, which covers the members of agricultural production and industrial processing. The results of the developed model showed that there are significant potential gains in performance, reflected in the increased EBITDA margin on the industrial processing side and in the net income per hectare and the price of the orange box on the agricultural production side, if they established together an integrated planning of production, crop-season to crop-season.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Produtividade estratificada da mão de obra na execução do revestimento de gesso em pasta(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-12-12) Oliveira, Kelly Christina Ramos de; Paliari, José Carlos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9387796929252598; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2505623977531991The need for satisfying deadlines and reducing costs made construction companies invest in the improvement of productivity throughout the steps of constructing buildings. This study aimed to stratify the workforce‟s productivity in employment categories during the execution of the plaster coating, showing productivity indicators values expressed in man-hours per square meter (Hh/m²) of executed coating so as to identify among the workforce‟s employment categories chances of improvement. As research strategy, it was used the field survey in five construction works with different types of buildings, where it was made a hard observation and labor productivity collection taking into account the occupation categories (Direct Work, Delays, Mobilization, Downtime, Displacements and Support) resulting in productivity indicators stratified in accordance to these categories. It was diagnosed that the values of the overall workforce‟s productivity ranged between 0.16 and 0.50 Hh/m², considering that the main value in the distribution of its fractions was in the occupation category of Direct Work, which ranged between 0.08 Hh/m² and 0.23 Hh/m² regarding the other categories. The higher the representativeness of main productive and auxiliaries categories (Direct Work, Support and Mobilization) over the categories associated with the unproductive activities (Downtime and Delay), the better the productivity detected, although strong statistical correlation was not observed. Regarding the category Direct Work, the best productivity of labor is achieved in the implementation of the coating on the ceiling over the implementation on the walls. Thereby, this work‟s main contribution is in the preparation of the analytical structure of occupation categories to the plaster coating department as well as the unfolding of workforce‟s productivity indicators in these categories for this department.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise de práticas do pré-desenvolvimento de novos produtos: estudo de múltiplos casos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-12-12) Costa, Marcela Avelina Bataghin; Toledo, José Carlos de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9421627326330417; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7709101582319245Pre- development phase and corresponds to the activities ranging from identifying opportunities to generate product concepts. Throughout these activities there is a dynamic and complex flow of information about business strategies, requirements and market trends, technological alternatives and resource allocation. At this stage important decisions are made, and if misleading may result in failures in the performance of the new product. The subject has gained importance in recent years, however, there is still not an understanding on how to coordinate the activities of the predevelopment or which results are expected in this phase, therefore being a gap in the literature. This thesis aims to identify and analyze the practices, technical and tools what are adopted in front-end development in a sample of manufacturing firms. Through systematic literature review identified ten reference models for the front end development. These were published between 1988 and 2013 and seek to systematize the activities of pre-development and guide managers in conducting phase, proposing technical and management support tools. 57 different techniques have been identified. Through multiple case studies it was observed that all studied companies adopt referential models for conducting the activities of front end development. As in literature these models followed by companies differ mainly in relation to the number of stages or activities, but adopt some techniques and tools as well diffused in the literature. We observe that the most common practices in all companies can be grouped into early, middle and end activities, which divide the front end development in three distinct phases. For every moment of the predevelopment can be selected a set of techniques and support tools. These techniques and tools do not necessarily have to be adopted together because they have different natures, but are a "package" of suggestions to be considered. In addition, internal and external factors in the companies affect such practices. It was also possible to identify, in the companies analyzed, finding it difficult to measure the performance of the activities of the pre-development phase itself, and the PDP as a whole, so some possible performance indicators for this phase were suggested. Another difficulty associated with the use of these techniques and tools is that they require financial and time resources, and all require the skills of those who lead. Therefore, the most modern and best potential for achieving results technique can be ineffective if conducted by people who do not have necessary skills and appropriate technical support.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Em torno de Michel Foucault e Luis Buñuel: saber e poder na análise de O Discreto Charme da Burguesia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-12-12) Motta, Priscila Canova; Gaspar, Nádea Regina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4952307421175266; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1214486305511171The objective of this research is to analyze the film The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie by Luis Buñuel (1972), by means of some concepts of the theoretical and methodological framework of Michel Foucault: "knowing" and "discursive statement" in its relations with the "power "and" truth ", and seek to understand the power in your workout in the film, and not only in its effects. Starting with some basics about "knowing" in Foucault, we mapped one filmic statement which appeared in some sequences, which is: "The noise that hides the discrete violence of the bourgeoisie." Therefore, we assess the "power and truth," these notions that became persistently present in the materiality of the film, prompting analysis mechanisms. Then conducted reflections on these principles by theory arqueogenealógica Foucault, then apply them to the analysis of the film. The research also presents aspects of the life of Luis Buñuel, traces relations between the military dictatorship of this movie and the Brazilian military dictatorship, and punctuate the experience of the director with the Surrealist movement his Catholic creation and exile in Spain in time of dictatorship. Buñuel all this shows in his work. We also established prior to analysis, a dialogue between Marx and Foucault in relation to the issue of power in relation to understanding the "bourgeoisie."listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Ecologia da invasora Hedychium coronarium J. König (Zingiberaceae)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-12-12) Castro, Wagner Antonio Chiba de; Matos, Dalva Maria da Silva; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4728734263109138; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1886759094637829Because the importance of invasive plant species in biological diversity reduction and environmental quality depreciation, there is great studies need addressing these organisms development, invasive potential and changes in nutrient cycling at invaded areas. We evaluate the development, invasiveness and debris input of Hedychium coronarium, aggressive herbaceous weed of wetlands, as well as the invasiveness of riparian communities. The two-year population dynamics study found increased ramets mortality and births during the winter season, indicating primary effect strategy for ramets recruitment. The in situ and in vitro decomposition experiments demonstrated low mineralization rates comparing with others same habit and niche of macrophytes. Sinusoid and exponential models demonstrates stochasticity of development and debris accumulation of H. coronarim in invaded areas. Rhizomes showed histological responses to different soil moistures. In high moisture soils, we found great aerenchyma development. Under low moisture, rhizomes showed greater starch granules accumulation. Removal experiments presented alternations in the preferential vegetative or reproductive investments according to soil moisture and habits of competitors. We also noted the use of rhizomes as food resource by capybaras during the winter season.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Trabalho e cultura organizacional no discurso da mídia: uma análise da revista Você S/A(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-12-12) Britto, Denise Fernandes; Lima, Jacob Carlos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9244132532446607; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7082222267544728The culture of work, comprising the values, ideas and shared behaviors between individuals in organizations, has been modified from the restructuring process. The objective of this research is to identify how the organizational discourse constructed by the media reinforces ideologically such transformations, generating a representation of the desired profile of the contemporary worker. For this, we analyze news from the magazine Você S/A on its Career section, based on categories of Discourse Analysis and sociological theory about the world of work. The topics more focused by the magazine were analyzed in relation to discursive aspects of intertextuality and interdiscursivity in written texts and images of the articles. Thus, it was possible to realize that organizational culture in media discourse follows the business management perspective, regulatory and uncritical. The ideological process hide the mechanisms of pressure and overload work by enhancing the desired values of the new worker's profile, based on autonomy, skills, flexibility and innovation. Figures such as coach, consultant, leader, entrepreneur and professionals related to human resources are central to the consolidation of work and organizational culture. In addition, there is a convergence between journalistic, business and educational discourses, focused on the executive worker training that compounds the public of Você S/A. The reports prescribe "recipes" that are assertive when discuss the employee's responsibilities, while the benefits are only in the bound of possibilities.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Comunicação quântica baseada no teletransporte em variáveis contínuas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-12-12) Luiz, Fabrício de Souza; Rigolin, Gustavo Garcia; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5670956791297779; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1647224045151813In this Thesis we study in details one of the most astonishing application of quantum mechanics which totally departs from our common sense: quantum teleportation in continuous variables. We present a review of the postulates of quantum mechanics and quantum optics systems, in particular for Gaussian systems. After this review we apply these postulates in order to present one of the most counter intuitive applications of quantum mechanics, namely, the quantum teleportation protocol. We study in detail this protocol and we propose modifications in its construction aiming at an improvement in its efficiency. These modifications were made in order to take into account the realistic situations encountered in the implementation of the protocol, i.e., the fact that the entanglement, between Alice and Bob, is never perfect and the fact that states teleported by Alice are near the vacuum state. After this analysis we performed an extension of the teleportation protocol by proposing a multi-channel protocol and studied the case of two channels in parallel. Finally, we created the first quantum cryptography protocol that uses the continuous variables teleportation protocol in an active way. We showed that this protocol is robust to the beam splitter attack and that this protocol is the only one working with direct reconciliation and without post-selection over the 50% loss scenario.
