Item type:Item, Altas habilidades ou superdotação : políticas públicas e atendimento educacional em uma diretoria de ensino paulista(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-08) ;Mani, Eliane Morais de Jesus ;Rangni, Rosemeire de Araújo ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6399149504309769https://lattes.cnpq.br/3262109594164736Students with high ability or giftedness are known as the audience of the Special Education, supported by the legal provisions, which guarantee adequate educational attention for the full development of their potential and talents in an inclusive perspective. The school system of the State of São Paulo, which configures the Brazil‟s largest one, in accordance with national guidelines, states by its own public policies the recognition of the needs for specialized pedagogical care when considering this segment of students. However, it is not uncommon the invisibility of this school population, by numerous factors, such as myths, lack of knowledge on the subject, lack of public policies on Special Education, among others. Such problem involves the lack of educational responses, showing that there is a significant gap regarding the provision of education quality to students with high ability or giftedness. In recent decades the scene of the Brazilian education has passing through many changes, regardless the educational management follows the same direction. Therefore, an inclusive education requires a democratic and participative management, which contribute to the promotion of educational practices and administrative actions, such as the implementation of specialized pedagogical care services to meet the educational needs of all diversity of students. Then, the goals of this research are: i) to analyze the knowledge of the management team of an executive board of the State of São Paulo about the concept, forms of identification and provision of specialized educational services for students with high ability or giftedness; ii) to describe the provision of special education services offered in educational public policy, in the perspective mentioned above. To this end, it has used an exploratory descriptive research with a case study. This study included 22 managers of Educational Board of a city located in the state of São Paulo using a questionnaire to understand the profile of these professionals and the conception of the work on the thematic of high abilities or giftedness students. The results showed significant progress with respect to the legal standards for educational transformation in an inclusive perspective. However, the effects of these documents do not reflect in an egalitarian context for students with high ability or giftedness in the studied school network, specifically within the Board of participant education, since the results revealed that the issue of knowledge multiplication in the schools is incipient. It is inferred, therefore, that it is one of the factors that impacts the lack of attention to this portion of students.Item type:Item, Formação inicial de professores de química: discursos, saberes e práticas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-09) ;Corrêa, Roberta Guimarães ;Marques, Rosebelly Nunes ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7921735904003583https://lattes.cnpq.br/8887214323875475Currently, the academic community and teachers formation courses are still living a period of transition between educational performance models that are supported by regulations, such as the resolution CNE/CP n° 01/2002, which features the National Curriculum Guidelines for the Basic Education Teachers Formation. In these documents and also in research carried out, we try to overcome the formation focused on technical rationality. Searching the formation of a professional who is the author of your own practice and master and specialized skills. Considering this formation model, studies of teacher formation have as issues of interest to identity the teacher knowledge, pedagogical practice, professionalism, autonomy, among others. The formation process, which is for all teacher s professional life and even before it, has in degree courses an important moment of contact with the knowledge, practices and the constitution of the teacher identity. Therefore, questions about the initial formation, the knowledge and the desired professional profile on degree courses in Chemistry deserve further investigation. In this qualitative research, higher education institutions of the State of São Paulo were researched in order to investigate and analyze the initial formation of Chemistry teachers in Chemistry Degree courses. This picture of reality was subjected to a critical analysis supported by references that formed the basis for the discussion of possible paths to the initial formation of Chemistry teachers. For the analysis, data were collected on the sites of the institutions to known the profile of professionals in formation and on playing field. Also collections were made in seven institutions with teachers trainers and undergraduates. The analyzes point to a course profile which, despite being to form teachers, has as major goal the training of a skilled professional for the work in a diverse market, with little emphasis on teaching. Specific knowledge of Chemistry is prioritized by both undergraduates and by trainers who in turn give little attention to the pedagogical knowledge. A formation model is presented and discussed in order to contribute to the improvement of undergraduate courses in chemistry.Item type:Item, SyncSmartv: framework para sincronização de aplicações smart TV com programas televisivos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-09) ;Nsimba, Cedrick Bamba ;Teixeira, Cesar Augusto Camillo ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1123376648713853https://lattes.cnpq.br/4253034079658327Smart TV applications are typically disconnected from the content of the tuned programming on the TV set. Some broadcasters offer specific applications for programs, however, these applications are generally just loosely coupled or synchronized to the program. Furthermore, applications are fully under domain of broadcasters, that have the information about the transmitted content. Based on the fact that synchronized information may arise from third-parties, obtained by local content processing or offered directly by the viewers, new opportunities will be opened up for developing a bunch of new interesting applications aiming to promote the user interaction level in TV. Moreover, it will have new user interaction possibilities while using mobile devices and computers, furthermore a new business model will be emerged. In this master thesis, the SyncSmartv framework is presented and evaluated. The aforementioned framework offers several APIs that facilitate the development of Smart TV applications synchronized with TV program contents. The aim is to provide some facilities for developers to implement applications in this area in a clear approach without being concerned about low-level implementation details.Item type:Item, Representações sociais da ciência e dos cientistas em roteiros de peças de teatro(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-09) ;Ginebro, Tiago Nadim ;Luiz, Maria Cecília ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7425361719028650https://lattes.cnpq.br/7282207787503934This dissertation aims to analyze what are the social representations about the science and be a scientist present in two scripts of plays of São Carlos groups of theatre. Such social representations are not reproductions of surrounding the authors of the scripts. Cultural values are assimilated through a network built collectively from pre-existing knowledge that allow such individuals to experience a social practice. Justified to serve the collectives that develop a university extension work, especially in basic education. Contributes to the praxis of artists and writers with regard to reflect in his plays, his debates with the public after shows or even on how they look. The survey featured a documentary analysis, scripts, using content analysis as methodological procedure. Created two categories of analysis: social representations of science in both scripts. Divide into three subcategories: "science as absolute truth (sure) and/or transience (doubt)"; "the scientific field and the search for recognition"; and "the relationship between science and fantasy". And the second category, the social representations of the scientist in the two scripts of theater. We conclude that the word "truth", its synonyms or antonyms may not have a large occurrence in both scripts, however that doesn't stop to observe a social representation of science that is sometimes taken as absolute. There is also in its Constitution space for doubt, uncertainty, but accompanied by a sense of hierarchy. The success of an experiment, the formulation of a model or a production technology by any one of the characters leads to elevation of this to a prominent post inside the camp. Is a young scientist trying to impress your tutor or a renowned researcher trying to stand out in relation to their peers, the legitimacy on this is a goal, sometimes hidden, in both scripts. For their motivations, the authors build characters that act in order to generate id us bystanders and, for that, use their social representations. They have elements in common with the representations that the public has. One is that the scientist is differentiated from other people. Even without any mannerisms, the characters end up moving away, even though geographically in an isolated house. Item type:Item, Estudo sobre relatórios de estágio supervisionados em cursos de licenciatura em letras: uma reflexão sobre a formação inicial do professor de espanhol(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-10) ;Curti, Natália ;Yokota, Rosa ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9230517686993400https://lattes.cnpq.br/0630292128197198This research, of an interpretive and documentary nature, aims to analyze the reports that are produced by undergraduates of a Portuguese-Spanish Language Teaching Course, as a requirement for the subject Supervised Practicum in Foreign Language (observation and practice stages). The corpus of this study consists of reports written by undergraduates as part of the subject Supervised Practicum in Foreign Language of Portuguese-Spanish Language Teaching Courses in two universities in São Paulo State, a public one and a private one. The organization and analyses of data were done according to the analyses of categories (BURNS, 1999). As a theoretical background, we considered authors such as: Almeida Filho (1993; 1999; 2006; 2011); Alvares-Ortís (2006); Vieira-Abrahão (2001; 2002; 2006; 2007); Silva & Margonari (2005); Kfouri-Kaneoya (2003, 2008); Gileno (2013), among others. We assumed that the undergraduates of the Portuguese-Spanish Language Teaching Courses, when observing and teaching classes in regular schools, reflect on some aspects related to the language teaching/learning process (teacher, student, language skills, types of exercises, the content of classes, etc.) and describe their reflections and experiences in the reports they write by the end of the subject Supervised Practicum. Thus, by means of the reports written by the undergraduates, we sought the aspects that could support the following research questions: 1- What do undergraduates reveal in the reports they produce during the Supervised Practicum (observation and practice stages)? 2- Do the reports on the practice stage of Supervised Practicum indicate a consistent practice with the reflections made in the reports on the observation stage of Supervised Practicum? 3- Are there moments of theoretical and methodological reflection on the observation and the practice in the reports that relate to the studies of Applied Linguistics? When answering the research questions, despite consulting several theoretical texts, we noted in the reports that there are several problems in the stages of the Supervised Practicum that are not addressed in the publications consulted, such as the carelessness of some higher education institutions concerning the initial education of teachers and the difficulty of finding schools where the undergraduates are able to carry out the Supervised Practicum of some foreign languages, including Spanish. We also noticed that, depending on the institution, there are notable differences on how to conduct and record the Supervised Practicum stages, and that the expected reflection about the theoretical and methodological aspects, although not fully developed in all reports, can be perceived in some of them. Therefore, we tried to point out and justify the failures of the Supervised Practicum stages that we found in our corpus of research in order to contribute to the improvement in Supervised Practicum and hence to teacher education.Item type:Item, Melhores políticas para melhores vidas: um estudo crítico das concepções que embasam o Programme For International Student Assessment (PISA) no período 1997-2012(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-10) ;Libanori, Guilherme Andolfatto ;Riscal, Sandra Aparecidahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/5775749515785652This work has as its object of study the Programme For International Student Assessment (PISA), an international assessment system, created in 1997 by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and reaches fifteen students who are in final phase of compulsory schooling. The objective of this study is to analyze the PISA through its justification of creation, objectives and concepts that underlie the official documents of the OECD. In particular, through the analysis of conceptions of quality, equity and accountability in official documents of PISA, we seek to understand to what extent these conceptions are articulated with the economic development goals of OECD, as well as understand the participation of the Organization in educational policies, identify practices that the discourse of OECD seeks to engender in education management and how these conceptions allow to legitimate new forms of assessment which gradually reorganize and impose a new form to the educational process schooled. The theoretical-methodological approach is based on bibliographic and documentary research. The analysis will take place by means of the categories of discursive and social practices, by Paul Veyne, modernization and rationalization, by Max Weber, and the conceptions of social justice and equity, by John Rawls. Our analyzes showed that PISA is a producer and promoter of discursive practices, which aims to spread the instrumental rationality in education, standardize knowledge and skills required by the economic sphere, as well as homogenize and optimize the educational policies worldwide. Thus, PISA is more than an evaluation system, it is a global governance agent that, which through indications and discursive persuasion, kind of soft power actions made by the OECD and legitimized by the participating countries, seeks to disseminate best economic practices in order to homogenize the international productive sphere. Therefore, PISA is projected as an education regulation tool for economic and political purposes.Item type:Item, Televisão e formação na era digital: um exame crítico das pretensões formativas do programa Salto para o futuro(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-11) ;Bet, David Silva ;Zuin, Antônio Álvaro Soares ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5543562307373287https://lattes.cnpq.br/2205364981301004The sea of real-time images, the instant access to latest news and the contemporary demand that praises and requires the so-called positive social values pass by the exhausting and brutalized affirmation process of this established culture. Television, in this regard, can become a powerful vehicle of ideology exchange, due to its global reach. However, television could be an education tool, provided that its content and form are properly prepared to this end. Following these discussions, and guided by readings of texts by Theodor W. Adorno and Herbert Marcuse, we propose the analysis of the content of educational television program, transmitted by television and Internet, Salto para o Futuro (Leap into the Future, in Portuguese), on TV Escola (Ministry of Education), as well as the observation of technical changes, in other words, the way the information are structured and transmitted by this mean of communication, born as a result of the digital technology emergence. Analysis has demonstrated that there is Form predominance over Content since the analyzed episode articulates its messages via TV newscast format, which beforehand tends to ensure spectators adhesion by its serious aspect. Another important aspect comes from the presence of a discursive pattern in the messages: the hero specialist teacher cliché who in the future, by magically jumping over the historical and material contradictions in the present days, will save education by using technology. Finally, we conclude that the general format of the Salto Para o Futuro TV show (Leap into the Future, in Portuguese) does not allow the offer for explanatory information. However, through the radical change of its dynamics - disruption of the formal hierarchy by dialectic relation tension of the Formation concept - the program could envision an educational horizon: an aid to reveal the mechanisms that prevent the refusal and resistance of what is presented as if it were real.Item type:Item, Propriedades ópticas da alumina anódica porosa e o efeito do guia de onda(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-11) ;Carossi, Lory Cantelli ;Trivinho-Strixino, Francisco ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9740223649776400https://lattes.cnpq.br/8708083193756979Nanoporous anodic alumina films (NAA) may present different behavior to reflectance and photoluminescence techniques, with Fabry-Pérot interferences and waveguide properties. This phenomenon makes possible the use of NAA as transducer signal in optical sensors. In this work, we investigated how the pre-treatment, the number of steps of anodizing, the anodizing electrolyte mode and temperature affect electrochemical characteristics, morphological and optical mainly NAA. As a result, it was noticeable that the realization of electropolishing is necessary for both the NAA with good regularity as to make it possible to obtain a spectrum with the Fabry-Pérot interference. If the fabrication of NAA is done in two steps, it is possible to obtain reflectance spectra and luminescence fringed with better amplitudes, areas and heights. Regarding the anodizing mode, both the NAA anodized in galvanostatic how potentiostatic showed similar morphologies and spectra with fringes, but the interferences were better defined when the galvanostatic mode was performed. Regarding the temperature, it was noticeable that the change of this parameter leads influences the porous oxide thickness. The spectrum of the luminescence and reflectance increasing the electrolyte temperature caused an increase in interference. However, the range and resolution of interference decreased with increasing temperature. The oxide thicknesses were estimated by energy variation (?E), graph slope between order and 1/? and fast Fourier transform (FFT) techniques. The ratio of film thickness and pore diameter (L/dp) was performed to validate the NAA films with better waveguides property. Moreover, the surface composition analysis of NAA films anodized in phosphoric acid, oxalic acid and mixtures thereof by backscattering spectroscopy Rutherford (RBS) was performed. From simulations it was possible to note that the amount of carbon in the porous oxide structure is practically zero, which may indicate that the origin of the luminescence is related to the presence of more centers F.Item type:Item, Investigação empírica sobre o relacionamento entre Seis Sigma e prioridades competitivas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-11) ;Silva, Brena Bezerra ;Mergulhão, Ricardo Coser ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/0598720328915137 ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6895269832274542Caten, Carla Schwengber TenSix Sigma is an improvement program adopted by many companies to improve their business performance. However, some studies indicate that the relationship between Six Sigma and competitive advantage is not that clear. In this context, the main objective of this dissertation is to identify the relationship between the implementation factors of Six Sigma and competitive priorities in companies that operating in Brazil. As steps, this research conducted bibliometric analysis, content analysis, descriptive analysis and factor analysis. The research investigated 45 companies, through a survey, to find the relationship between Six Sigma implementation factors with competitive priorities in Brazil. Implantation factors identified were: "collect and availability of data", "previous infrastructure", "performance indicators", "goal setting", "capacity for change", "top management involvement" and "statistical thinking" . The results indicate the implementation factors that have relationship with competitive priorities are "collection and availability of data," "previous infrastructure" and "capacity for change". In addition to this result, it was found that the dimensions of competitive priorities that have relationship with implementation factors are "reliability" and "flexibility".Item type:Item, Efeitos da hibridização e do campo magnético externo na supercondutividade de modelos multibandas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-11) ;Silva, Márcio Gomes da ;Padilha, Igor Tavares ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/4605895860650284 ;Sousa, José Ricardo dehttps://lattes.cnpq.br/3871066069541626Superconductivity one of the most intriguing physical phenomena has been extensively studied due to their potential for technological applications. Despite advances in research in physics there is still no complete theory to explain the phenomenon. We study the behavior of a superconducting system described by a multiband model. We consider the interband interaction, i.e., the interaction is between the fermions with dierent masses at dierent bands, under the inuence hybridization. Also, we study the intraband interaction with hybridization and external magnetic eld. Using the method of Green's functions of Zubarev, we calculate the superconducting order parameters with intra-and interbanda interaction at zero temperature, ie, T = 0, and for dierent temperatures of zero. Interband interaction obtained in the superconducting order parameter as a function of temperature and hybridization V. The phase diagram T versus V was also obtained. The superconducting properties, such as free energy, entropy and specic heat, were also determined in the intraband interaction. Initially, we calculate the superconducting properties in zero eld, ie, for H = 0, then we consider the presence of external magnetic eld H nonzero. obtained an implicit equation that relates the magnetic field, temperature and hybridization, which allowed us to obtain the phase diagram T versus T and T versus V . Our results show that both the hybridization V , as the external magnetic field H acts at the expense of superconductivity by suppressing it. We noticed also, and conrmed by other studies, that the intraband interaction, we have only second order transition, since the interaction interbanda, we obtained a superconducting tricritico point where we encounter a line first with a second order. Based on these results, we conclude that left a signicant contribution to research in superconductivity.Item type:Item, Diretrizes para práticas de qualidade nas diferentes etapas do processo de produção de lajes alveolares de concreto protendido(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-11) ;Direitinho, Romão Manuel Leitão Carrapato ;Ferreira, Marcelo de Araújo ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/4199122391532470https://lattes.cnpq.br/7860027005969838Industrialization in the Brazilian construction industry is a growing trend, while the need to fulfill tight deadlines increases as well as labor costs, being mandatory to keep quality standards and the competitiveness of enterprises. In this sense, the precast concrete is an increasingly valid solution.Among him, the floor in hollow core slabs of prestressed concrete, as part of a constructive system of open cycle. This kind of floor can be applied in various sectors and to the most varied typologies. The ABNT NBR 14861: 2011 is still quite new, and includes a set of quality control care for the implementation of hollow core slabs in prestressed concrete, although it is felt that the respective degree of detail could be improved. On the other hand, the standard has just focusing on such care specially concerning project and product approaches, and not so much with a process approach. There is also some difficulty in the flow of information and knowledge between the academy and industry in general. The dissertation provides a detailed analysis of production of hollow core slabs in prestressed concrete, according to the respective processes, since the inputs enter factories, until the structural cover is performed on site. The macro-production process is divided into several stages of lower complexity, and contains a detailed listing of quality control procedures required, in a simple and practical manner. Thus, can be established a kind of a guide to good quality control practices for the production of LACP, which is then systematized through a set of checklists. The establishment of guidelines for good quality control practices in the various LACP production stages is the main goal of this research. In order to accomplish this goal have been made extensive literature reviews on Quality and hollow core slabs, using theses, dissertations, monographs, papers, magazines and electronic sites. Were also made visits to a factory which produces equipment for production of hollow core slabs, and to a plant producing LACP, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, during which were made unstructured interviews with their maximum management responsables. Finally it was made an essentially qualitative comparative analysis of the data collected and the quality control procedures of the ABNT NBR 14861: 2011. It is intended, with the checklists contained in the dissertation, to ensure production, transportation to site, installation of LACP and execution of the respective structural wrapper, with the highest quality consistency that is possible, thereby minimizing to minimum the existence of possible non-compliances.Item type:Item, Avaliação da limitação ventilatória e dos índices da potência circulatória e ventilatória de pacientes com doença arterial coronariana(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-11) ;Castello-Simões, Viviane ;Catai, Aparecida Maria ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5801652590531684https://lattes.cnpq.br/8573168804662842This thesis consisted of two studies described below. The Study 1 aimed to investigate if expiratory flow limitation (EFL) present at moderate intensity exercise in subjects following myocardial infarction (MI) (as shown in a previous study conducted in our laboratory) already manifests in those with stable coronary artery disease (CAD). Forty-one men aged 40-65 years were allocated into four different groups: 1) stable coronary artery disease (SCADG) (n=9), 2) recent myocardial infarction (RMIG) (n=8), 3) late myocardial infarction group (LMIG) (n=12), and 4) health control group (CG) (n=12). Two cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPX) at constant workload (moderate and high intensity) were applied and EFL was evaluated by exercise flow-volume loops. We observed that during moderate intensity exercise the RMIG and LMIG presented with a significantly higher number of subjects with EFL compared to the CG, while no significant difference was observed among groups at high intensity exercise. Regarding the degree of expiratory flow limitation, the RMIG and LMIG showed significantly higher values at moderate intensity exercise when compared to the CG. At high intensity exercise, significantly higher values for the degree of expiratory flow limitation were observed only in the LMIG compared to the CG. We concluded that an EFL was only present in MI groups (recent and late) during moderate intensity exercise; whereas at high intensity exercise all groups presented EFL. Thus, EFL observed at moderate intensity exercise in both MI groups may be linked to the consequences of event and not to CAD. Following, the Study II aimed to investigate the indexes of circulatory (CP) and ventilatory power (VP) in CAD patients. Eighty-seven men were studied aged 40-65 years, being 42 subjects in the CAD group and 45 in the CG. CPX was performed on a treadmill and the following measures were obtained: 1) peak oxygen consumption (VO2), 2) peak heart rate (HR), 3) peak blood pressure (BP), 4) peak rate-pressure product (peak systolic BP x peak HR), 5) peak oxygen pulse = (peak VO2/peak HR), 6) the oxygen uptake efficiency (OUES), 7) the carbon dioxide production efficiency (VE/VCO2 slope), 8) CP (peak VO2 x peak systolic BP) and 9) VP (peak systolic BP/VE/VCO2 slope). The CAD group had significantly lower values for peak VO2, peak HR, peak systolic BP, peak rate-pressure product, peak oxygen pulse, the OUES, CP and VP and significantly higher values for peak diastolic BP and the VE/VCO2 slope compared to the CG. Furthermore, a stepwise regression analysis showed that CP was influenced by the group and VP was influenced both by group and by number of vessels with stenosis after treatment. Given the findings, we concluded that the indices of CP and VP were lower in men with CAD compared to CG. Thus, both studies brought important findings related to the responses of the cardiovascular, pulmonary and musculoskeletal systems of patients with CAD during physical exercise, bringing many contributions to clinical practice and assisting in the prescription of exercise training.Item type:Item, Síndrome da fragilidade e complexidade do controle postural baseado na análise de entropia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-11) ;Carmelo, Verena de Vassimon Barroso ;Takahashi, Anielle Cristhine de Medeiros ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8336705133403404https://lattes.cnpq.br/7496298739077529Frailty Syndrome represents a clinical state of vulnerability, resulting from decline of resilience and physiological reserves and it is associated with adverse outcomes such as falls. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the complexity of oscillations of center of pressure (CoP)in the frailty syndrome before and after a functional task. CoP oscillations in the anteroposterior (AP) and mediolateral (ML) direction was obtained by a force platform in a quite-standing position, 30 seconds before and after standing from a chair. Additionally, it was performed the timed up and Go test (TUGT). The complexity of CoP oscillations was analyzed by entropies: corrected approximate (CApEn), sample (SampEn) and conditional (CI), as well as their normalized versions (NCApEn, NSampEn and NCI). Linear data of CoP oscillations were obtained by amplitude, RMS and the total average speed (TAS). Repeated measures two way analysis of variance was carried out to evaluate the effects of groups, time (pre and post-functional task) and the interaction between them for complexity variables. Forty-two elderly were evaluated, divided into groups: nonfrail (n = 15; 75.6± 4.2 years), prefrail (n = 15; 78.9± 6.8 years) and frail (n = 12; 73.0±19.2 years). In the AP direction, only nonfrail and pre-frail elderly subjects showed significant reduction after functional task in CApEn, NCApEn, SampEn, NSampEn and NCI and significant increase in RMS. In the ML direction, only nonfrail showed significant reduction in complexity after functional activity in CApEn, NCApEn, SampEn and NSampEn. All groups showed significant increase in the RMS after the functional activity in the ML direction. A significant correlation was observed between the performance on the TUGT and the complexity indices (CApEn and NCApEn) in post- functional task only for nonfrail subjects in the AP direction. Then, after a voluntary disturbance on balance, frail elderly subjects show no variation in CoP oscillations entropy indexes suggesting a deficit in the postural control, possibly because the basal values are already reduced.Item type:Item, Zonação em costões rochosos abrigados do Atlântico subtropical: variação espacial das comunidades, efeitos do biofilme e da mortalidade diferencial de cracas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-12) ;Siquitelli, Jaqueline Cristiane ;Tanaka, Marcel Okamoto ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2768658925977757https://lattes.cnpq.br/0793105873848971The zonation of rocky shores results from the action of physical and chemical factors and of biological interactions within the benthic assemblages, being a good model to investigate factors that structure biological communities. In the present study, the objective was to evaluate the processes influencing a particular zonation pattern in sheltered rocky shores of Southeastern Brazil. The intermediate and lower midlittoral in these environments is a zone mainly formed by bare rock, or biofilm, presenting only few individuals of the barnacle Tetraclita stalactifera or other filtering-feeding species, whereas the upper midlittoral is dominated by the barnacle Chthamalus bisinuatus. In this way, we first evaluated the variation in these communities at three spatial scales (within shores, between shores and between regions), to identify the extension of the pattern (Chapter 1). Then, we carried out two experiments to test the assumptions that 1) the pattern would be determined by biofilm action, which would be distinct in the two zones and thus influence barnacle recruitment differentially; 2) the pattern would be determined by higher barnacle mortality in the lower zone, probably caused by higher predation pressure in this zone (Chapter 2). Our results allowed us to conclude that the main source of variation in the communities studied was usually at small spatial scales, meaning that the structuring processes in these communities would also occur at small scale. Barnacle recruitment during the study was excessively low and not correlated with different heights on the midlittoral, whereas the biofilm was more abundant in the lower midlittoral. In this midlittoral zone, barnacles showed higher mortality than in the upper midlittoral, evidencing strong effects of differential mortality structuring the community, although few predators were sampled in the studied areas. Thus, the present study contributes to our understanding of structuring processes in subtropical sheltered rocky shores, generating a reference framework on the system studied and subsidizing studies on environmental impacts. Item type:Item, Revisitando o espaço escolar: os sentidos produzidos pelos professores sobre o SARESP na escola prioritária(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-12) ;Nogueira, Danielle Cristina ;Varani, Adriana ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2971233303849752https://lattes.cnpq.br/1598743901259371This study aims to understand the sense made by teachers about the external evaluation called SARESP (São Paulo State System of School Performance Evaluation) in a priority public school in São Paulo?s countryside. Theoretical support are used some authors who are dedicated to assessing the theme as Freitas, Barriga and Luckesi. In order to understand the meanings produced by teachers, this research opt for the qualitative methodology, case study, in which I propose to analyze the speeches of the subjects involved in this school context for understanding the relationship between the events described and the school failed, Since the school is considered a priority for the Secretary of Education of São Paulo (SEE-SP) due to low results obtained in SARESP. In this analysis I appropriate the concept of sense and meaning proposed by Vygotsky to understand from their comments, to the methodological construction of the research I appropriate to Lüdke, André and Certeau and discussion about school failure and use as a reference Esteban Patto. The data and analysis from the theoretical framework and statements of the teachers, signal the blame teachers for the results of this assessment creating a network of guilty that begins by category, but evolves in the use of their tactics to a larger share of blame for the Portuguese language and mathematics teachers. In the culprits game apex is the student himself in the individualization of failure, institutionalized as intellectual deficient. The data also led us to the need to understand what becomes the intellectual deficiency, understood as an element of materiality of school failure in this dissertationItem type:Item, Utilização de big data analytics nos sistemas de medição de desempenho: estudos de caso(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-12) ;Mello, Raquel Gama Soares de ;Martins, Roberto Antonio ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3518820028045730https://lattes.cnpq.br/7172926933347010Big data is associated with large amounts of data of different types that come from different sources in a very fast way, able to add value to business and with veracity. Nowadays, many companies are looking for ways to extract useful information from this huge amount of data. This can be attained applying analytical techniques. The application of these techniques to big data is denominated big data analytics. It can influence how managers make their decisions and manage the company businesses. This influences the use of performance measurement systems (PMSs). These systems are composed by a multidimensional set of performance measures that can support decision making and business planning. This way, performance measurement systems and big data analytics can be used to support decision making and the implementation of actions. There is evidence, in the literature, that big data analytics can be used in performance measurement systems. Following this context, this study aims at investigating how companies apply the big data analytics in using performance measurement systems. To achieve this objective, a systematic literature review was carried out for checking existing studies on the relationship between big data and performance measurement system. Then, case study method was applied. The empirical findings showed that big data analytics supports the decision making process, making it more efficient and effective. The results showed that big data analytics helps PMS identify, through analyses, how past actions can influence the future performance. Such analyses are in essence descriptive and predictive and it was applied in sales process. The empirical findings from the case studies showed that big data analytics contributes mainly to the use of PMSs related to planning and to influencing behavior. Therefore, it is possible to conclude that there is a contribution when big data analytics is used in performance measurement system.Item type:Item, Desenvolvimento de sensores nanoestruturados para análise de tetraciclina em leite(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-13) ;Scagion, Vanessa Priscila ;Corrêa, Daniel Souza ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/0461451015026948https://lattes.cnpq.br/8411639103941965This work deals with the application of two arrays of sensors composing an electronic tongue for the quality evaluation of UHT-type milk, with the specific aim of detecting the antibiotic tetracycline in this dairy product. The electronic tongue device was made up by sensing units composed by gold interdigitated electrodes assembled onto glass substrates. Polyamide 6 (PA6) nanofibers and PA6/polyaniline (PAni) blends were deposited on the electrodes via the electrospinning technique. The nanofibers were characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), FTIR spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA/DTG). The electronic tongue measurements were carried out using an impedance analyzer to collect capacitance and resistance data at 1 KHz. As chemometric tool we employed the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) technique to verify the efficiency of the electrospinning nanofibers-based electronic tongue in distinguishing different types of milk, as well as those contaminated by tetracycline. The results showed that the use of PAni for obtaining polymer blend fibers caused some small changes on the physical chemical properties compared to the neat PA6 fiber. However, PAni addition allowed a great reduction on the fiber diameter. Our results demonstrated that the electronic tongue system is a potential methodology to be used for classifying milk samples, in terms of fat content and quality regarding the presence of antibiotic tetracycline. The electronic tongue system system was able to detect milk samples contaminated up to 1ppb of tetracycline, regardless of milk fat content.Item type:Item, Softwares educativos no contexto da alfabetização e do letramento nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-13) ;Landin, Rita de Cassia de Souza ;Monteiro, Maria Iolanda ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/4189205834370563https://lattes.cnpq.br/9819875536500712In recent years we observed an increase in the number of computers, internet, software and other technologies and technological resources of information and communication in school environments (ALONSO, 2008; KENSKI, 2007; 2012). The educational use of technological information and communication resources requires the development of teacher knowledge (TARDIF, 2012) that allow the contemporary teacher pedagogical work through the digital society (KENSKI, 2012). In this context, the process of literacy and literacy remains fundamental. Thus, the main objective of this research is the reflection of teaching knowledge (TARDIF, 2012) for the use of these resources, specifically of educational software for literacy and literacy. Therefore, we aimed specifically: 1) mapping the use of digital technology resources in the investigated school units; 2) description and analysis of teaching experience with the use of educational software in the early years of primary education, specifically in literacy and literacy process (KLEIMAN, 1995; MONTEIRO, 2010; SOARES, 2004; 2013); c) research and analysis of the conceptions and methods of literacy and literacy activities that support the selected educational software. The research was guided on the qualitative method (LÜDKE; ANDRÉ, 1986), with a theoretical framework on the technological resources of information and communication, teacher training and literacy and literacy; mapping the use of educational software in six public schools in the early years of elementary schools of São Carlos/SP through questionnaires; interviews in two public schools, with teachers about their teaching and methodological experiences with the use of educational software in the literacy process and literacy and epistemological analysis of educational software. We seek to build theoretical knowledge that will permit the teaching critical look at these resources, basing the assessments of their potential and limitations for literacy and literacy. At the same time, scoring undertake knowledge teachers needed for teacher training, both initial and ongoing, for the critical use of these resources in order to insert them as educational and methodological resources complementary teaching practices. We observed that the educational context is a rich and important source in the consolidation of teaching knowledge (TARDIF, 2012) for both the use of ICT, and in relation to the methods and conceptions of literacy and literacy, and the experiential knowledge a rich source of learning and professional development. However, we also see the need for strengthening of knowledge on which to base concepts, methodologies and teaching about the literacy and digital literacy (FANTIN; GIRARDELLO, 2009) and media literacy (WILSON et al, 2013).
