This research's overall aim is to identify which meanings on teaching are produced and put into circulation by language schools advertising and which of these meanings refer specifically to Spanish Language. This is a qualitative-interpretative research that takes as object of analysis advertisements of four of the main Brazilian language schools franchising. We consider that the aspects related to the material conditions of the profession, linked with other historical aspects, contribute to the creation of meanings about the Spanish language and its teaching in Brazil. We trace, then, a historical overview on the Spanish language teaching in Brazil since Leffa (1999), Picanço (2003), and Daher(2006), we discuss theoretical aspects of the teaching professionalism based on Shulman (2005), Tardif (2002), and Gauthier (2006), and we support our studies on the Socio-discursive Interactionism proposed by Bronckart (2006, 2008,2009, 2012) and Machado (2009) to substantiate our discussions and text analysis. As results, our analysis indicates that language schools advertisements give emphasis to didactic material use (unique, updated, modern ones), and also on the school s Teaching Methods and their technologies, considering the teacher's role as something less important in the process. In this aspect, they confirm the results of previous researches about prescriptive texts (MACHADO et alii, 2009, p.25) in which teachers take position as simple adjuvants or instruments of a process ( ) her/his main work is represented as being the one who applies principles, contents, and the prescribed methodologies .

The petroleum crisis associated with global warming and environmental pollution has motivated researchers to investigate more profoundly the feasibility of alternative energy sources. Biofuels have been recently regaining popularity as one of the greatest promises of the high-tech future. Among the different forms of biofuels, biodiesel stands out for being a biodegradable compound, free of sulfur and aromatics. In this context, we developed different routes to synthesize heterogeneous catalysts made of calcium oxide (CaO) supported on magnetic ferrites and evaluated their activity in the transesterification reaction of ethyl. The first synthetic method employed in the preparation of magnetic supports was co-precipitation. The nanometer scale of ferrite particles was achieved by monitoring the flow rate of the reagents and the aging time of the products. The second method involved the usage of the precursor citrate not only due to its low cost but also because it helped in making the synthesis of nanoparticles easier. Furthermore, the wet impregnation method of the respective nitrate was employed in the production of the CaO catalysts which was calcined at 650°C afterwards. The catalysts were characterized by XRD, N2 physisorption, TEM-EDX, SQUID, DTP-CO2 IR and SEM-EDS. The catalysts containing different amounts of CaO were evaluated in the transesterification reaction between methyl acetate and ethanol. The results suggest that a high conversion rate (up to 85%) can be achieved depending on the CaO content on the catalyst. These high conversion rates encouraged us to study the effect of other catalysts on the ethyl transesterification of soybean oil at various reaction times and ethanol/oil molar ratios. Indeed, it was observed that the maximum conversion rate of esters obtained during the ethyl transesterification of soybean oil was higher than 50% in the presence of 50-CaO/ CuFe2O4 catalyst. Moreover, the stability tests showed that these catalysts can be used up to 6 reaction cycles and that Ca2+ leached does not catalyze the homogeneous phase. Therfore, the results suggest that CaO/ MFe2O4 are promising catalysts to replace the base homogeneous catalysts industrialy used for biodiesel production.

Estudo da biologia reprodutiva de Nycticorax nycticorax no Parque Estadual Fontes do Ipiranga, São Paulo
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-03-16) Costa, Yanna Dias; Guida, Fernanda Junqueira Vaz; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1302967676407620; Francisco, Mercival Roberto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4305313620456233; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4723569999275049
Data on the reproductive biology of birds are essential to test hypotheses regarding the evolution of different aspects of the life history of these animals. However, basic information on the reproductive behavior of most South American bird species are poorly known. Moreover, particularly for birds with wide geographic distribution, life history may vary according to the different environmental conditions. Thus, the study of reproductive behavior in different populations of the same species, allow the identification of patterns of variation to make inferences about the ecological and evolutionary mechanisms responsible for the diversification and facilitates the development of conservation strategies. The Black Crowned Night Heron, Nycticorax nycticorax (Ardeidae) is a cosmopolitan species very common in Brazil, which breeds in large colonies. Although data on the reproductive biology of this species are available for Europe and North America, is little studied in Brazil. Thus, the objective of this proposal is to describe the reproductive cycle of N. nycticorax in two colonies in the Parque Estadual Fontes do Ipiranga, São Paulo, southeastern Brazil. The breeding season extended from July of 2013 to January 2014, however the field work was performed from September to January, with peak activity in September. The nests were built average 3,55 ± 2,58 m high and 2,36 ± 1,62 m alway from the main trunk. A total of 38 nests were found, but just 29 were monitored. The clutch size was 2.41 ± 0.68 (1 - 3) n = 29, and the incubation period was 23,26±1,26. The nestlings began to leave the nest with an average of 17.4 ± 3.6 days of life, what we call the stay 1, and left the nest definitely with 25,71 ± 7,16 days, which we call the residence 2. From 70 eggs, 57.14 % hatched and 25 chicks survived and left the nest. The survival rate was 31% from laying to the left of the nest, Mayfield. We compared with other tropical populations and the Northern Hemisphere, we recorded a strong tendency in latitudinal gradients of larger clutch size at high latitudes, but reproductive success does not seem to be associated with it, should be more associated with habitat conditions and availability of resources than with the latitudes. Incubation seem to support the premise to be higher in tropical regions, but few incubation data and nestling data are available for comparison.

(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-03-16) Colepicolo, Eliane; Del Prette, Almir; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2191226494887247; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6390029520269072
This research consisted of a scientometric analysis of the Social Skills Field (SSF), to provide the basis for its systematization, through indicators to answer theoretical practice and research questions, such as: theoretical approaches which influence it? What are instruments and evaluation procedures of field? There interdisciplinarity in CHS? The study was conducted in four steps: (1) extraction, processing and refinement of a set of papers metadata in SSF from international databases (Corpus HS); (2) developing a set of key terms representing concepts and conceptual relations (Tesauro HS); (3) text mining of corpus metadata and of the thesaurus terms, to obtain radical terms of up to 4 words (ngrams), which allow find coincident terms between different data sets; (4) development of scientific indicators generated from the comparison between thesaurus ngrams and corpus ngrams. As a result, we have: (1) Corpus HS online with 25.409 metadata papers in SSF; (2) Thesaurus HS online with 1,043 terms, useful for indexing the submission and retrieval of publications; (3) bibliometric indicators online; (4) scientific indicators in response to a series of questions of field. This made it possible to establish an overview of SSF in several respects, including: the field has received theoretical influences of behavioral, cognitive and social cognitive approaches; the most studied HS classes are assertive; the most studied development phase is childhood; the main instruments used for HS assessment are scales and questionnaires; the Social Skills Training (SST) is applied to more students, teenagers, parents and teachers. Based on this research, one can make inferences about the SSF such as: the conceptual base is formed by HS class, deficits and components; the main target audience is the child of preschool age; the field holds no clinical interventions in the educational and family environment and clinical interventions to treat mental disorders; THS has been used for teaching of HS students, teenagers, parents and teachers; the field maintains interdisciplinary relations with fields of Humanities and Health Sciences.

The thesis discusses the dissemination of affective advice manuals in Brazil from the analysis of best seller books Why men don t listen & women can t read maps, What smart women know, Why men love bithes and Seduction: a two-way road as well as the experiences of 23 readers interviewed for the research, by locating them in age, education, profession, regional origin, class, race, sexual orientation, marital status, among other aspects. Considering the experiences of readers regarding the manuals, two classification groups were established: 1) those that read, identified themselves with the contents of the books and adopted the advices in everyday life, changing their behavior as oriented by the manuals; 2) those that did not identified themselves or that changed their opinion about the books in another stage of life. In both cases, the main reason for reading the manuals was the need for emotional guidance in the search for long-lasting relationships. Among the uses of the advices identified in the account of the readers, was observed the emotional management, through which women sought to rationalize feelings, to avoid loving suffering in the process of affective pair choosing. The research starts from the emotional dimension, represented by the analysis of manuals and interviews with readers, seeking to observe the existing mediations in the studied phenomenon, which relates to therapeutic discourse, notions of individualism, feminism influences, mass culture, market relations and consumption. The manuals provide emotional advice that promise solutions to love life and by observing the experiences of readers, it is identified that the search by the books is also explained due to position management required to women today when they try to conciliate the scopes of emotion, family and work. By analyzing the emotional cost experienced by women and the solutions offered by advice literature, this research discusses implications in gender relation aspects in the current context.

Context: Inspections are a software quality assurance activity which can be applied throughout the development process and in different types of artifacts, since it is a statistic activity, based essentially on reading techniques. In the context of source code inspection, a commonly used reading technique is the Stepwise Abstraction (SA). Among the artifacts that comprise a software, the ones related to databases stand out, for instance, SQL source code, of which no reading techniques proposals were identified to support the inspection. Objective: In this setting, this work shows a proposal for systematizing the SQL source code inspection activity using the Stepwise Abstraction technique, with the computational support of the CRISTA tool. Methodology: Due to the shortage of reports and assessment of inspection use in SQL source code in the literature, a survey was developed to identify how the SQL code inspection process is conducted and what the difficulties encountered by IT professionals during its execution are. The survey results provided directives for the development of the systematization proposal for the SQL source code inspection and implementation of new features on the CRISTA tool. An experimental study was conducted to evaluate the feasibility of use for the proposal. Results: The results obtained through the experimental study were satisfactory and show positive indication relating to the feasibility of use for the proposal. When the inspection activity was conducted following the systematizing proposal, 9.3% more defects were found relating to the adhoc approach. Regarding to false positives, the systematization proposal use resulted in zero false positives, while the adhoc approach had two occurrences. Conclusion: Based on these results, the proposal for systematizing the SQL code inspection activity, with the support of the Stepwise Abstraction reading technique and CRISTA tool, showed itself viable for use. In comparison to the adhoc inspection, used in practice, the effectiveness in defects detection increased, while the number of false positives decreased. Additionally, it should be noted the research relevance for the software engineering area, taking into account the shortage of studies related to the SQL code inspection in the literature.
