listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Catalisadores de Co e Pt suportados em La2O3 e SiO2 aplicados na reforma a vapor do etanol(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-03-24) Baldoino, Marília Gabriela Branquinho; Assaf, José Mansur; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9563312407691130; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0292961252771980In intense search best environmental conditions, it is necessary to invest in renewable fuels, affordable and low polluting. With the aim to participate in this effort, this work was undertaken to study the steam reforming of ethanol. Cobalt catalysts supported on SiO2 were studied using mass loading of lanthanum 10, 20 and 30% mass content, and 0,5% platinum as additives in order to check their influences on the initial catalyst to reduce carbon formation on the catalyst surface, enhancing the activity, stability and selectivity for H2. All catalysts were prepared by impregnation method. Were characterized by temperature programmed reduction in H2, Hydrogen Chemisorption, surface area by BET, X ray diffraction method, thermo gravimetric analysis and chemical analysis. Subsequently, the reaction RVE catalysts, which was analyzed in conversion and selectivity were applied. The TPR and XRD analyzes observed the formation of Co3O4 which espinélia phase is reduced to CoO and Co°, respectively. Subsequently, the catalysts were used for ethanol steam reforming reaction, where the conversion, selectivity, and stability was analyzed. In XRD analysis and RTP observed the formation of Co3O4 that espinélia phase and reduces CoO and Co°, respectively. Also, it was identified diffraction peaks relating to La2O3 and La(OH)3; platinum, and a broad peak was assigned to the SiO2 structure, which has low crystallinity. There was a decrease in coking catalysts, effect obtained by forming lanthanum oxicarbonate, which was also identified by XRD. The increased lanthanum loading also influence the decrease in particle size, thereby increasing the dispersion of the catalysts. During the 24-hour stability test, the catalyst is not desactivated. It was identified that the impregnation method used and the utilized treating conditions were adequate to obtain the desired compounds for reform to ethanol vapor. The CoLa2SiO2 catalyst showed promise for ethanol steam reforming, with better selectivity to hydrogen, with little formation of undesirable products. The addition of 0.5% by mass Pt content in the cobalt catalyst has not led to a significant increase in product formation and conversion. The monometallic Pt catalyst (0.5% w / w) proved active and with good hydrogen selectivity even with a small amount of active phase. This behavior can be related to the presence of highly dispersed platinum metal on the surface. The best performing catalysts did not show the formation of CO, which can be related to the addition of lanthanum.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Avaliação da sensibilidade dolorosa em idosos hipertensos: estudos de casos e controles(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-03-24) Rebelatto, Marcelo Nascimento; Salvini, Tânia de Fátima; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4391969032505723; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7204785489008565Background: Hypoalgesia related to hypertension has been described and studied by many authors over the last few decades, but little is known about how it behaves in the elderly. Therefore the aim of this study was to establish whether there are differences in pain sensitivity between hypertensive and normotensive older adults. For this, we selected seventy-two elderly of which 36 were normotensive and 36 were hypertensive and the pressure pain threshold (PPT) was assessed on seven points bilaterally in both groups by means of pressure algometry. Two-factor analysis of variance (ANOVA) group and gender was performed, and the effect size was calculated using Cohen s index. Results: The PPT values were higher in the group of hypertensive older adults compared to the normotensive ones; that difference was significant (P < 0.05) for the following points: right and left trochanters, left trapezium, left L3/L4 and left anterior tibialis muscle. The correlations exhibited by the PPTs were stronger in the group of hypertensive older adults; hypoalgesia was more generalized among the hypertensive adults compared to the normotensive ones. Gender did not influence that difference, although the magnitude of the difference was greater among males compared to females. Conclusion: Hypoalgesia, as assessed by means of PPT, exhibited a relationship with arterial hypertension in older adults. The influence of gender on hypoalgesia exhibited by hypertensive individuals is controversial.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Contribuições à noção de ato na filosofia de Henri Bergson : à luz do Essai sur les données immédiates de la conscience (1889)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-03-24) Proença, Luiz Fernando de Oliveira; Pinto, Débora Cristina Morato; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1311151012002541; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1850373959106777The aim of this paper is to highlight a particular notion in Bergson’s thought, namely the activity of the mind. Even though this inquiry does not intend to deal with the entire bergsonian corpus, as its subtitle indicates, highlighting the aforementioned notion, together with other structuring conceptual aspects, such as synthesis, continuity, indivisibility, might – as we hope – bring about different outlooks to the reading of Bergson’s works. These concepts are supposed to justify the inquiry inasmuch as they are supposed to demonstrate that the duration of consciousness, the very object of An Essay on the immediate data of consciousness, is a psychic, mind process, and an activity. A fourfold division was established, corresponding to each of the four chapters that compose this paper, in order to achieve our goal. The first three chapters are dedicated to analyzing each of the three chapters in the Essay, aiming at demonstrating in what way those notions happen to be fundamental in the development of that particular work, the means of their respective genesis and unfoldings. Thus, the opening inquiries into the intensity of psychological states focus on the distinction between the quality and the quantity of psychic data, by means of the concept of intensity. Next, the plurality of such data shall be examined by means of the distinction between the concepts of numerical multiplicity and non-numerical multiplicity. Finally, in the third chapter an analysis shall be undertaken of the organization of such data of consciousness, in order to conclude the description of the psychological subject in the previous chapters and, most importantly, in order to demonstrate that the duration of such subject is synthetic, active, indivisible, while at times producing free activity. The final considerations merely reiterate what has been divided throughout the previous chapters, besides giving a brief mention on the extension of the notion of activity in both of Bergson’s following works: Matter and memory and The Creative Evolution.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Okinawanos e não-okinawanos em Campo Grande: relações de parentesco e famílias(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-03-24) Kubota, Nádia Fujiko Luna; Machado, Igor José de Renó; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4705450652848752; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8216228858672384Japan has been permeated by the myth of ethnic homogeneity. The idea that homogeneity is present even in countries receiving "nikkeys" immigrants, as is the case in Brazil. However, a few decades it has been possible to note that the multiplicity and diversity are also part of the japanese reality. This diversity makes the group think of themselves and others to think as opposites. Thus, Campo Grande becomes field investigation of this heterogeneity, since it possesses two distinct groups - Okinawans and "naichi" (japanese) - in an opposition movement and aggregation throughout history. When thinking of a "Japanese unit" is over for not paying attention to details that make up the relations between the groups involved (Okinawans, non-Okinawans and non-western). The purpose of this research is therefore to understand how notions of family and belonging can build the oppositions and differences between Japanese immigrants and their descendants.
