listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Variabilidade genética e verificação de paternidade da colônia cativa do mico-leão-preto (Leontopithecus chrysopygus) (Primates, Callithricidae) utilizando marcadores microssatélites(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-06-03) Ayala Burbano, Paola Andrea; Freitas, Patrícia Domingues de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5647631868534064; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9464785758310874The main goal of any captive breeding program consists is maximizing the conservation of genetic diversity. Groups kept in captivity are particularly susceptible to the loss of genetic diversity, inbreeding depression and adaptation to captivity, due to their small size. The genetic characterization of wild and captive populations is an important tool both to minimize these impacts and for the conservation of these species, since it enables the development of management strategies aimed at maintenance of genetic diversity. In this context, the main objective of the study was to evaluate genetic variability and paternity for animals of black lion tamarin from Centro de Primatología do Rio de Janeiro, Fundacão Parque Zoológico de Sao Paulo, Parque Ecológico de Sao Carlos and 14 specimen belonging to the Durrell Conservation Trust in England using 15 microsatellite loci. The results of the allelic richness and expected heterozygosity showed similar values of alleles numbers and heterozygosity when compared with other species of Callitrichidae. Factorial correspondence analysis (FCA) showed greater homogeneity among captive animals than wild animals from Capão Bonito. The captive groups showed no differentiation among them and high differentiation from the wild Capão Bonito population. The data obtained herein are fundamental to increase the knowledge in genetic aspects of tamarins and support breeding programs to prevent loss of genetic diversity and inbreeding.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A ação política dos bispos católicos na ditadura militar: os casos de São Carlos e Assis(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-06-03) Kopanyshyn, Emanuelle; Martins Filho, João Roberto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8157447462904324; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8681124999367298The academic literature often references the articulation of the Catholic Church in the period of the military dictatorship in Brazil (1964-1984), sometimes supporting the coup, sometimes taking part in the democratic resistance - especially after 1968 - with international campaigns, official statements, articulation for the Committee for Justice and Peace, claims from catholic pastoral groups, etc. The bishops, however, never built a monolithic block. This study considers the heterogeneity of the Catholic clergy and political specificities of each region during the military dictatorship in Brazil, suggesting that for every bishop, added to each local context and to the practice concept of the religious message, the weight of the union around his institution may be the explanatory axis for his position in order to bring new perspectives for qualitative analysis of political relations between the Catholic Church and the State in Brazil during the military dictatorship. The specific aim of this research is to investigate the political activity of the bishops of the Catholic Church in São Paulo state dioceses based in São Carlos and Assis. The results of the study are expected to respond to literature gaps on the subject, which until now have mainly focused in the progressive clergy, either in major population centers or in a national level.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Modelagem matemática na educação básica: obstáculos e dificuldades apontados por professores(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-06-03) Ceolim, Amauri Jersi; Caldeira, Ademir Donizeti; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8185048034258055; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9441960693153567The mathematical modelling in the perspective of mathematics education has achieved meaningful progress in the last years in relation to academic and scientific aspects, both nationally and internationally. Mathematics modelling may be considered a consolidated search field. This fact is evidenced considering the number of publications in scientific events, as well as magazines editions and books focused on mathematics education, which range from basic to higher education, as in colleges and universities. However, there are some indications that this mathematics modelling has faced weakness in terms of its application in classrooms of lower secondary levels. Based on this context, our research has investigated the obstacles and difficulties pointed out by recently graduated mathematics teachers of public colleges and universities in Paraná state. These professionals have studied Mathematics modelling during the graduation course, in the perspective of mathematics education, which is related to its application in classroom everyday activities. The methodological approach used to the survey data understanding was the Textual Analysis Discourse. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire sent via Google Docs to 57 newly qualified math teachers, up to two years after graduation. All these professionals were teaching at public schools of Paraná state basic education. Among these, 26 have answered the questionnaire. We have established four categories covering the main obstacles and difficulties, pointed out by the teachers, subjects of this research, regarding the use of modelling in classroom, which are: (i) teachers’ insecurity in using this methodology in their classes; (ii) poor initial teachers’ training; (iii) difficulties because of traditional and conservative approach of the school system; (iv) difficulties in inserting students in the Modelling environment. These categories have shown that all obstacles and difficulties indicated by teachers about the modelling approach are basically associated to three features of resistance regarding changes in pedagogical practices, which are: (i) personal-emotional aspect, (ii) professional competence aspect, and (iii) institutional aspect.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Redes de interações entre aves frugívoras e plantas em uma área de Mata Atlântica no sudeste do Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-06-03) Rodrigues, Suelen Barbosa Moraes; Piratelli, Augusto João; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4747322084219058; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7794429411956477Interactions plants-frugivores are key components in the complexity of forest communities and their modifications or losses can have profound implications for conservation. The study of the interactions networks has proven an important tool in understanding how communities respond to human disturbance. The aim of this study was to analyze the interactions networks between plants and birds as fruit consumers in Atlantic Forest in southeastern Brazil. The research was conducted in Carlos Botelho State Park (PECB) and addressed three environments with different types of vegetation (open area, and initial successional stages and advanced). The interactions record was performed by direct observation using methods of transect, focal and assistance traps cameras. We evaluated the frequency of visits, number of interactions, nesting and connectance. The network is represented by 63 kinds of birds and 30 species of plants and showed a nested pattern (NODF = 33.63, p = 0) with a connectance low (13%). 255 interactions were observed in 1151 records frugivory. The species that contributed most to the organization's network were also the most important for community maintenance and alien species present in one of the rooms did not interfere in the interactions between native species.
