Item type:Item, Milho orgânico em consórcio com adubos verdes perenes : produtividade, nutrição e supressão de plantas espontâneas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-07) ;Arantes, Ana Carolina Costa ;Fontanetti, Anastácia ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3598362104615834https://lattes.cnpq.br/9435027861075317Maize can be intercropped with green manures, which in addition to performing the coverage and soil protection, the weeds control, also cycle nutrients and perform nitrogen biological fixation. This study aimed at evaluating the growth, yield of grains and straw, the content of macronutrients of maize and the weeds control in intercropping with perennial green manures sown at two different maize growth stages. The experiment was conducted in the agricultural year of 2014/2015, at UFSCar/Araras-SP, in randomized complete blocks in factorial scheme 3 x 2 + 1 with 4 repetitions. The factors were: 3 species of green manures (calopogonio (Calopogonium mucunoides Desv.); kudzu (Pueraria phaseoloides (Roxb) Benth.) and perennial soybean (Neonotonia wightii (Wight & Arn) Lackey.) and two green manures sowing times (sowing at the V4 - four expanded leaves and VT – bolting of maize). And a control treatment, maize monoculture. The evaluations were: in the R1/R2 of maize stage - milky/doughy grain (height (ALT); diameter (DIA); specific leaf area (AFE); leaf area index (IAF); stalk dry matter (MSC), leaves (MSF) and total (MST) of maize; Falker chlorophyll index (ICF); number of leaves above the upper ear (FAS)); in the R5 of maize stage – chalky grain (dry mass of green manure (MSA); total dry mass maize intercropping/green manure (MSTC); percentage of land cover (PC) and dry mass of weeds (MSE)); in the R6 – maize harvest (final plant stand (EST); prolificacy (PROL); number of rows per ear (NFE); number of kernels per row (NGF); yield of grain (PROD); weight of 100 grains (P100) and content of macronutrients of maize). It was found higher production of EF with the sowing of green manures in the V4 stage (69,814 plants ha-1), being the intercropping maize/calopogonio with higher values of MSA and PC, with 1002.00 kg ha-1 and 35.63%, respectively. The highest P100 occurred in the VT (32.89 g). There was not difference for the other variables. The PROD was 9.04 t ha-1 and 7.0 t ha-1 of MSTC. The smallest leaf N content was observed in the intercropping with calopogonio in V4 (22.75 g kg-1). The Ca had smallest levels for the perennial soybean in the VT and kudzu in the V4. The smallest Mg content was in intercropping with the soybean perennial in the VT, in the P was in the intercropping with calopogonio and S, when the sowing of the green manures occurred in V4 of maize. For K, there was not statistical difference. The MSTC production was not affected by green manures, with maize straw production in monoculture and in the intercropping systems exceeding the minimum amount recommended for ground cover (6.0 t ha-1). The green manures negatively affect the content of P, K, Ca, Mg and S in maize and calopogonio sown in the VT, the kudzu and the soybean perennial sowing in the V4 and VT, contributed to provide N to maize.Item type:Item, Trajetórias de vida e de classe : um estudo sobre rearranjos territoriais e identitários na implantação da usina hidrelétrica de Jaguara(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-08) ;Cardoso, Jéssica Pires ;Martins, Rodrigo Constante ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6617183095074852https://lattes.cnpq.br/1195657653219453The purpose of this work aims to reflect on the social trajectory of the families affected by construction of hydroelectric power plant Jaguara, located and build between Rifaina/SP and Sacramento/MG, small cities on countryside of Brazil, at the 60's. That decade was marked by a strong authoritarian politics that wanted progress and society’s modernization by full capitalism insertion on “country/rural areas”. As a result, the changes were on several and different levels, not just in socioeconomic or environmental areas, when the use and the occupation of land change completely, the families were exposed by compulsory displacement that breaks and turns relationships, culture, customs, values and social routine, changes in various orders. However, the transformations by hydroelectric power plant construction aren’t only losses but also gains and opportunities, which will be understood when observing the experiences of the affected people and the relation between agent with the land, as a work’s place, live’s place and identity’s place. Basically, the work of remembering the past, exposed the motivations and justifications of the people that comprising the hydroelectric construction and compulsory displacement as positive or negative. For the purpose to see experience and life’s trajectories, the methodological instrument used was oral history through qualitative interviews, using bibliography research and documental analyses.Item type:Item, Batom na caveira : um estudo sobre as mulheres na Polícia Militar do Estado de São Paulo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-09) ;Denari, Giulianna Bueno ;Sinhoretto, Jacqueline ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7743699562476490https://lattes.cnpq.br/3350689550400145This master's research aimed to understand and analyze the ways of policing the institution face to female labor transformation processes in the Police of São Paulo State Military (PMESP). The secondary objectives were to understand the discourses of the military police operations in PMESP, understanding the perception of these on their own performance and analyze the conflicts that gender differences causes in the various spheres that compose the institution. To accomplish these objectives we conducted qualitative interviews semi structured with military police officers (men and women) from the state institution of several patents and functions. Thus considerable part of the research was structured based on the analysis of experiences and professional female police trajectories of different generations. Also they were gathered press texts that bring the image and role of women in PMESP, seeking to understand the representations involving the image of women in the institution, using document analysis. The research had as main findings the process of transformation of own police work, from the analysis of female labor over the years. The ostensible policing, aimed at combating crime (especially crimes against property), no longer exclusively male work and becomes the focus of police activities as a whole. We could also point out as a result of the differences and disputes about the "real police work" in which the work "street" is more recognition that the "administrative work ". Finally, about the discourse on women, we highlight the changes to look the work of female police officers from the perspective of care for the design of the warrior police and finally the discursive tendency to erase the differences and classify all while police.Item type:Item, Reutilização de fibras de para-aramida como reforço mecânico em poliamida 6,6(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-09) ;Loureiro, Lucas ;Bettini, Sílvia Helena Prado ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3687551763124327https://lattes.cnpq.br/3045030177014245Aramid fibers are very known by their excellent combination of tensile strength and elastic modulus with low density. On the other hand, aramids do not melt which difficult the recycling process. This property is an important issue for many companies that work with these materials since thousands of tons of aramid fibers are produced each year and there are just a few reutilization alternatives. This project evaluated a new alternative to reuse aramid fibers from industrial waste as mechanical reinforcement for polyamide 6,6. Another important characteristic of these fibers is the low interaction with polymeric matrices due to its intrinsic molecular stability and to finishing products that facilitates the spinning and weaving processes. In order to remove the finishing, the fibers were washed with methanol and hexane, but the hexane washed fibers showed better results. Surface treatments with NaOH solutions were also evaluated. It was reported in XPS results that NaOH solution hydrolyzed the fiber’s surface. However, conditions with higher NaOH concentration were too aggressive to the fiber’s mechanical properties. For this reason, it was selected two procedures: 2% NaOH at 30 minutes of exposure and 6% NaOH at 45 minutes of exposure. The composites were produced with two different fiber’s weight concentration, 5 and 10%. The results have shown that the surface treatment impacted the interfacial adhesion, but there was no increase on the composite’s mechanical properties due to the fiber’s mechanical damage caused by the treatment. The addition of 5% of fibers did not increase the mechanical properties probably due to the fact that 5% is near to the fiber’s critical volume for this composite. The composites with 10% of fibers showed better results and revealed a great potential for this reuse alternative for para-aramid fibers.Item type:Item, Ligação mista viga-pilar preenchido com chapa passante : modelagem numérica e análise paramétrica(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-10) ;Tineo, Rafael Pereira ;Nardin, Silvana de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5587716781980132https://lattes.cnpq.br/0361512956499299This work presents the development of a numerical model of a composite connection connecting a composite beam to a concrete filled steel tube column using a through plate. The software Ansys® and finite elements methods were used in the numerical analyses and the model was validated by comparison with experimental results. The main guidelines adopted in the choice of finite elements, material properties and constitutive relationships, boundary conditions and restrains and other aspects of numerical modeling are presented and discussed in this work. The validated numerical model was then used in parametric analysis in which was analyzed the influence of geometric and physical parameters as reinforcement ratio of slab, height of I-steel beam, web thickness of I-steel beam, diameter of the bolts, slab thickness, height of the through plate, concrete compressive strength and steel yield strength. The parameters analyzed revealed direct influence on behavior, especially in terms of moment an initial stiffness. Comparative analysis between all parameters allowed comments on the most influential variables and those that present similar behaviors.Item type:Item, Estudo dos atributos de Atenção Primária na rede de saúde de São Carlos,SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-10) ;Fagá, Mariana de Almeida Prado ;Silva, Geovani Gurgel Aciole da ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6146469366214279https://lattes.cnpq.br/7471491410735720The strength of the orientation of the primary health care (PHC) depends on the presence and extent of each of its attributes. The APS has four essential attributes – “first contact access”, "longitudinality", “coordination” and “integrality” - and three derived attributes - family orientation, community orientation and cultural competence. The tool used to assess the PHC, called PCAtool - professional version, is capable of measuring the strength of the PHC orientation in the healthcare setting. This paper aims to evaluate the presence and extension of the PHC attributes in the São Carlos-SP’s primary healthcare network. For doing so, we had the participation of several “high educational level” professionals, such as doctors, dentists and nurses, from 12 Basic Health Unities (BHU) and 19 Family Health Unities (FHU) localized in 5 health districts (ARES). The PCAtool - professional version was applied to healthcare professionals in each healthcare unity, making a total of 64 answered forms. Each attribute was evaluated through the arithmetic mean score of its items and then was translated to a 0 to 10 scale. Values above 6.6 are considered high. The results showed that the attributes with better performance were the Family Orientation (8.51), the coordination - Information System (8.07), the integrality - Services provided (7.65), the integrality - Available services (7, 26) longitudinality (7.20), the coordination - integration of care (7,11).The worst performances were for community orientation ( 5.92) and first contact Login ( 4.63) . The attributes "first contact access" and community orientation are the weakest attributes both UBS as the USF. The USF performed significantly better (p value < 0.05) in the attributes access, coordinationinformation system, integrality, community orientation and scale for essential and general attributes. There is need for further studies to better understand the issues involved in the difference between models.Item type:Item, A Pastoral do Turismo e sua ambiguidade estrutural(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-10) ;Moreno, Pedro Augusto Ceregatti ;Souza, André Ricardo de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7016915324466152https://lattes.cnpq.br/1804059155609380Recognized by the World Tourism Organization (WTO) as a share of this market, religious tourism provides significant revenue and traffic people, nationally and internationally. Its expansion has come about in Brazil as recognition of their earning potential. It’s results of transition from a phase in which the pilgrimages and festivals did not happen spontaneously and management for the current state of business structuring and training of its staff and services provided. Several factors are intertwined in the development of this market in Brazil, and the government agencies responsible for most of the investments in the sector. They promote infrastructure improvements and incentive programs focused on events and religious attraction poles, thereby providing enhancement of the hotel chain, transport connection, agencies and tour operators. The Catholic Church is mobilizing to that particular field, with its Pastur focused on the dissemination of shrines and religious appeal sites, staff training and strategies that promote the sale of travel and tourism practices packages Dioceses and parishes with potential attraction. This work exposes the one hand, economically enterprising character of the church and on the other, the ambiguity of the Pastur, as the pastoral intended for non-profit activities. Here is the facet of Brazilian Catholicism to which this research is back.Item type:Item, Efeitos ecotoxicológicos das nanopartículas de dióxido de titânio sobre a alga Pseudokirchneriella Subcapitata e sobre o Cladócero Ceriodaphnia Silvestrii por diferentes vias de exposição(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-10) ;Lucca, Gisele Maria de ;Freitas, Emanuela Cristina de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8601993745082402 ;Melão, Maria da Graça Gamahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/8342306603661310In recent years, increased use of titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO 2 NPs) in consumer products and technological devices has raised concerns regarding their environmental impacts and their risks to human health. Ecotoxicological studies have been used as a tool to analyze the toxic potential of TiO 2 NP S in different trophic levels, such as primary producers (algae) and first order consumers (cladocerans). In the present study, the chronic effects of TiO2 NPS on the population growth of the microalgae chlorophycean Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was evaluated during an exposure period of 96 hours, under conditions of temperature and photoperiod similar to those found in tropical ecosystems. New methods were developed for the separation of the aggregates between the algae cells and TiO2 NPS, whose formation was observed at above 0.01 mg L-1 concentrations after a period of 96 hours’ exposure. The only effective method was the one in which the cells were washed three times with a metal chelator (EDTA), with duration of 1 minute for each wash. In the toxicity chronic test, there was obtained a significant inhibition of algal growth from the concentration of 64 mg L-1 of TiO2 NPs, with a concentration of 50% inhibition of algal cells (96 h - IC50) of 201.22 mg L -1 in 96 h of exposure. Then, it was evaluated the acute effects of exposure by contact and the chronic effects of TiO2 NPs for the cladoceran Ceriodaphnia silvestrii, using contaminated food (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) as a route of exposure. In acute toxicity tests was obtained the average value of EC50 - 48 h of 77.57 mg L-1. In chronic toxicity tests, it was observed significant differences in survival from the concentration of 0.01 mg L-1, while for the body length, the number of eggs and neonates produced, toxic effects were observed from the concentration of 1 mg L-1. These results indicate that the nano-TiO2 NPS had a deleterious effect on the growth of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata only at concentrations above those normally found in natural aquatic environments. For the cladoceran Ceriodaphnia silvestrii, the route of dietary exposure indicated a greater toxic effect.Item type:Item, Uso do acervo de periódicos impressos da Biblioteca Comunitária da Universidade Federal de São Carlos: estudo de caso(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-13) ;Augusto, José Aparecido ;Furnival, Ariadne Chloe Mary ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1291482506649810https://lattes.cnpq.br/0759183881042624This study examines the use of collection of printed journals in paper Community Library (BCo) of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), campus San Carlos, through structured observational research, systematic and nonparticipating, fitting, academically, in large area "uses of information and collections", inspired in the intellectual contribution of Lancaster and other great authors in the field of user studies. Studies conducted around the world have been demonstrating a phenomenon called CCD (Colony Collapse Disorder), whose causal agent several factors including diseases that affect this group. Among them, the varroa resulting from the Varroa destructor mite attack, is reported as pathogen major impact factor on the Apis mellifera. In view of this, the objective of this study was to test the efficiency of three methods to control V. destructor: alternative, obtained from the distillation of oregano (Origanum vulgare Linnaeus, 1753), thyme (Thymus vulgaris Linnaeus, 1753) and sugar beet (Beta vulgaris Linnaeus, 1753); biological, run base drones and larvae chemical, carried out with the application of active flumethrin principle. The results were evaluated by statistical analysis in R program to determine the differences between treatments and proposed mergers and select the best method of control. In the analysis, it was observed that the alternative method showed a significant difference by highlighting thyme distillation as more efficient because there is no significant killing of bees and cause the death of all the mites in a shorter time compared to the other distillates. The biological method hornets larvae base is also preferably effective due to mite in these individuals. In chemical control the use of the active ingredient flumethrin caused poisoning in bees, with diarrhea in the first 6 hours after application, and after 48 hours caused a mortality of 100%, which demonstrates be impractical to control the mite.Item type:Item, Um estudo sobre Podcasteros de Game of Thrones(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-14) ;Murta, Cíntia Maria Gomes ;Massarolo, João Carlos ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3308336910966465https://lattes.cnpq.br/5993482249864845Known as the Age of Conversation, the present time is marked by horizontal communication, based on connectivity between people and their networking. This setting reconfigures the media landscape from new conversation environments such as podcast. The present dissertationinvestigates the contents of Podcasteros produced by a network of Brazilian fans of the television series Game of Thrones (HBO, United States, 2011-present). The understanding of the series, the strategies used by HBO and content produced by fans aims to discuss a business model based on participatory culture that prioritizes dialogue not always friendly between producers and fans. At first, the series will be presented whose complex narrative universe unfolds through multiple plots, characters and settings - which leads the viewer to search for information on other platforms to understand not only what is narrated as sharing, networking, their impressions and versions of history. Observe the discursive network of fans around the series, therefore, requires the understanding that it is formed from ephemeral and temporary ties and marked by discursive diversity of its members. Finally, the Podcasteros content analysis will be addressed. The methodology proposed merges content analysis and netnography and is an investigative journey that seeks to meet the specific characteristics of the object and its sound nature in the context of discursive networks of fans and their dialogic practices.Item type:Item, Quando cães, humanos e ruas se encontram: pensamento, movimento, movimento e sensação entre vidas, afetos, arte e palavras(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-15) ;Gonçalves, Michele Fernandes ;Lobo, Heros Augusto Santos ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/9405961078398915https://lattes.cnpq.br/1771840965021188This work attempts to the encounter between humans, dogs and streets. The focus is to explore the power of the relationships established among these entities, in the public space, when they meet each other and their homes through art. The goal is to affirm the existence and permanence of dogs on the streets and evoke the production of new feelings and sensitive connections between humans and them. The exhaustion of the thought about some prevailing notions on the distinctions among entities, and also the opening to the sensations and affections evoked when dogs and humans meet each other, on the streets, through art and words, serve to the questioning of the relationships between them and their homes, and also to a resizing effort on those relations, enabling the vision of the stray dogs status as beyond the categories of abandonment and suffering. The methodology is the cartography, as proposed by Gilles Deleuze e Félix Guattari, which takes in the experimentation of the thinking, trying to realize the dynamics, fluxes and intensities of the objects and assuming that the thinking and the knowledge production starts always from multiple connections. In the field of the theory, we performed a bibliographic research on contemporary authors of anthropology, philosophy, psychoanalysis and the arts as a way to resume and shuffle some concepts and also make other means and viewpoints possible for the relationships among entities. In the field of the praxis, the fieldwork involved some walking with the stray dogs in the city of Sorocaba. We also produced some narratives taking the fieldwork as inspirations, and some wheat-paste urban interventions, both as a way to create powerful encounters between humans and dogs on the streets where they come across to each other.Item type:Item, Caracterização funcional do gene ypkA, homólogo de ypk1 em levedura, no fungo patógeno oportunista humano Aspergillus fumigatus(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-15) ;Godoy, Naiane Lima ;Malavazi, Iran ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1569614985704317https://lattes.cnpq.br/4898786276284560Aspergillus fumigatus is an opportunistic pathogenic filamentous fungus, and the causative agent of aspergillosis, including the invasive pulmonary aspergillosis in immunocompromised individuals, most lethal form of the disease. As in all eukaryotes, the plasma membrane of A. fumigatus is composed of sterols, glycolipids and sphingolipids. The sphingolipids molecules are structural elements that participate in the regulation of the actin cytoskeleton endocytosis, and cell growth. In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, the sphingolipid synthesis is regulated by proteins such as the "AGC kinases" known as Ypk1p and Ypk2p that inactivate Orm1p and Orm2p, which are inhibitory proteins of the serine palmitoyltransferase (SPT) enzyme, the first enzyme that participates in biosynthetic pathway of sphingolipids. Thus, Ypk1/2p are responsible for stimulating the production of sphingolipids in response to several cellular stress factors, such as cell wall stress and heat stress. Here, we aimed to expand the study of sphingolipid biosynthesis in A. fumigatus by functional characterization of the ypkAYPK1 gene by establishing its role in the regulation of sphingolipid synthesis and in the maintenance of cell integrity. To accomplish this goal, one null mutant strain ΔypkAypk1 and a conditional mutant strain niiA::ypkA of A. fumigatus were obtained. The mutant strains were characterized by phenotypic tests aimed at understanding the role of this gene in sphingolipid synthesis, virulence and pathogenicity of this fungus. Subsequently real time RT-PCR experiments were performed to quantify the expression of this gene in conditions of heat stress. The results indicated that deletion of the gene ypkA promotes changes in the development of the fungus, which presents severe defects in the vegetative growth and absence of conidia. In addition, the conditional mutant shows increased sensitivity to lipid synthesis inhibitory drugs. The results also indicate that there is no interaction between genetic ypkA and pathway genes of the cell wall. Thus, we propose that protein kinase YpkA in A. fumigatus is related to vegetative growth and participates in the sphingolipid biosynthesis in A. fumigatus, contributing to the development and integrity of the fungal cell.Item type:Item, A comunidade de Braconidae (Hymenoptera; Ichneumonoidea) em um gradiente altitudinal no Parque Nacional do Itatiaia, RJ: taxonomia, distribuição e diversidade(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-15) ;Gessner, Carolina da Silva Souza ;Dias, Angélica Maria Penteado Martins ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8637344058859147https://lattes.cnpq.br/4909055267553745In Brazil, there are few studies on mountain ecosystems that aims the biodiversity conservation, even with hymenoptera parasitoids, especially the family Braconidae, a group ecologically important, because they represent the diversity of other groups of insects, that are their hosts. This study aimed to contribute to the knowledge of the diversity of Braconidae fauna into a mountain ecosystem at Parque Nacional do Itatiaia, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The sampling were made with Malaise traps (TOWNES, 1972) installed between 987 and 2255 meters, in two mountain slopes (continental and coastal), comprising three vegetation types of the Atlantic Forest existent in the study area (Montane and High Montane Ombrophilous Dense Forest and Campos de Altitude). Four altitudes were sampled for 10 months of sampling between 2011 and 2012 and seven altitudes in 14 months were sampled between 2013 and 2014. In total 9.854 individuals of Braconidae were captured, in which, 8.814 individuals were identified and distributed in 28 subfamilies and 125 genera. The most abundant subfamilies were Alysiinae Microgastrinae, Doryctinae, Braconinae e Opiinae. The most abundant genera were Opius, Heterospilus, e Bracon. The rainy season promoted the major richness and abundance of subfamilies and genera. Two patterns of the richness and abundance distribution were observed: in the gradient sampled in 2011-2012, the richness and abundance increased with altitude showing peak in the highest altitude; in the gradient sampled in 2013-2014 was observed a peak on intermediate altitude, followed by decline with elevation. The richness accumulation curves have not reached the asymptotic stage. However, the richness estimators showed that the sampling period was sufficient to know most of the local fauna. Most of the abundant genera showed high amplitude of altitudinal distribution. It was observed a great number of exclusive genera. Some of the main subfamilies showed preference for higher altitudes. Most of the identified fauna are cenobiont, endoparasitoid solitary of larval stage of Lepidoptera, with small range of hosts. Many identified genera have biological information missing. Apparently the parasitoids community structure was strongly influenced by the vegetation gradient on mountain. The High montane vegetation showed a richer fauna, and the Campos de altitude, showed a more dominant fauna. In the gradient sampled in 2011-2012, cenobionts and idiobionts showed peaks in the highest altitudes, in the gradient sampled in 2013-2014, cenobionts and idiobionts showed a peak in distinct altitudes. In the spatial and temporal distribution of cenobionts and idiobionts, it was observed a typical pattern of competition. In the highest altitudes, ectoparasitoids were more frequent than endoparasitoids. Most of the genera without species recorded for Neotropical Region and Brazil, were more frequent in the highest altitudes. Two genera new for science were recognized, and at least 46 new species were discovered. Studies such as this show the importance of research in altitude ecosystems, allowing the biodiversity and the ecological importance of these habitats to be known.Item type:Item, Um estudo do método simplex e sua aplicação na radioterapia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-15) ;Salvador, Thaís Reigadas ;Carvalho, Silvia Maria Simões de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8244087426759161https://lattes.cnpq.br/4016488980585578This work presents an application of the Simplex Method for solving an optimal planning problem for cancer treatment by radiotherapy. The Simplex Method, proposed by George Dantzig, is a matrix procedure walks along extreme points of the feasible region in search of an optimal solution problem. The optimal planning for radiation therapy can be aided by Linear Programming, where the concern is to aplly a high enough radiation in the tumor while saving significantly healthy regions or critical organs.Item type:Item, O turismo étnico como ferramenta para o etnodesenvolvimento da aldeia Tabaçú Reko Ypy, Itanhaém-Peruíbe, SP.(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-15) ;Mateus, Cássia Aparecida Praeiro ;Neiman, Zysman ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6435341856481082 ;Rabinovici, Andreahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/4506171831521594Since the colonization of Brazil, its indigenous peoples have been facing countless conflicts related to the protection of their territories. In the pursuit of better living conditions, several indigenous communities have been thinking of tourism as a local development alternative based on criteria established by their own ethnic groups. The aim of this research was to identify the possible impacts and consequences for ethnodevelopment which were caused by the ethnic tourism developed and applied to Tabaçú Reko Ypy village, which is located between the municipalities of Itanhaém-Peruíbe on the southern coast of São Paulo, from 2013 to 2015. The community develops and performs this activity as a supporting tool for generating alternative income with the purpose of improving their living conditions and recovering their territory and traditions. Due to the fact that it is a recently formed village, no specific literature about its people has been found. All the documents and information about their politics, social behavior and culture have been obtained through semi-structured interviews, participation in field experiences and documents provided by the indigenous people themselves. The theoretical framework for this research was obtained through the existing literature on anthropology and tourism and its interfaces. This community organizes some field experiences related to tourism in partnership with agencies and also autonomously which were monitored and registered for this research for two consecutive years. Through this study, it was possible to identify several consequences arising from ethnic tourism and to reflect on possible future impacts that can be dealt with. In conclusion, this research showed that, through the actions taken by the Ñandeva people over the two-year period from 2013 to 2015, the possibility of making use of new tools and guidelines will be useful for them to achieve autonomous ethnodevelopment with the perspective of an inclusive model of tourism capable of generating income, respecting local culture and promoting environmental balance.Item type:Item, Elementos de estrutura e governança das parcerias entre o setor público e o setor privado : estudo de caso sobre o Programa Água Para Todos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-15) ;Assis, Marilia Camara de ;Donadone, Julio César ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7643906508178259https://lattes.cnpq.br/8608608078197831In the past few decades, following the growing trend to create partnerships between public and private sectors in multiple countries, this topic has been broadly discussed in global academic production. The main purpose of this research is to identify potential relationships in those partnerships’ structure, how they are handled, and the results they aim to achieve. For that matter, this paper presents an overview of the subject, taking into account the context of emergence and development of those partnerships in Brazil and in the world, the different terminologies and concepts used to discuss them, and the multiple possibilities to characterize them. Three aspects were considered for the characterization, namely: 1) the partnerships’ hardware, composed by their standards, constitution and objectives – its physical structure; 2) the partnerships’ software, or how their members relate to one another, to other actors, to their organizations, to society, and to the public and private systems that surround them – its governance; and 3) the results aimed by partnerships. The government program Água Para Todos (APT), one of the measures for the governmental plan Brasil sem Miséria (BSM) – a strategy by the Federal Government (2011-2014), which aims to overcome extreme poverty in Brazil – was selected to approach this theme and to illustrate the rationale behind partnerships between public and private sectors. In the form of different arrangements to achieve the objective of making the access to water universal in the Brazilian semi-arid region, the participation of actors from public and private sectors joining efforts and taking turns on different roles was critical to assure that the goals established by the Federal Government were fulfilled and to foster other benefits for the population as well. It was also possible to observe that the three aspects of partnerships considered for the analysis affect one another. Just as the partnership’s hardware affects its governance, any kind of obstacle faced by the form of operation might result in changes to the previously constituted structural elements. The possibility to reassess the continuous forms of partnerships’ hardware and software might be one of the requirements to achieve the best possible results. At the same time, tracking results along the partnership execution might point to difficulties and bottlenecks which, occasionally, would act as guides to the required changes to its structure and governance.Item type:Item, Contradições e conflitos na atuação de empresas e do INSS no processo de retorno ao trabalho de trabalhadores afastados por LER/DORT(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-17) ;Silva, Elaine Cristina ;Camarotto, João Alberto ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1427853773681255https://lattes.cnpq.br/4122375443585346Manifestations Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WRMSDs) in the workplace have been of concern, as its growth has forced the society to deal with this problem high economic impact due to the significant increase in the number of absences related to work. After diagnosis and removal, the INSS medical expert, according to conditions / worker capabilities, forwards it to the Vocational Rehabilitation Program INSS, which should provide the means of professional and social rehabilitation, according to the Federal Constitution. However, the difficulties of the Ministry of Social Security in return method of workers away by WRMSDs has been the subject of discussion. This study aimed to understand of the process of return to the employee's work away for WRMSDs, through the activity of ergonomics, focusing on the need for interaction between business, labor and INSS. The methodology was designed / led by a return to work flow chart created by the researcher from the model of inclusion of people with disabilities of Simonelli (2009). The methodology consisted initially of approval of UFSCar's Ethics Committee for the collection and analysis of data in the four companies that agreed to participate, and Term of Consent of workers. For data collection, the workers were interviewed, underwent evaluation capacity for work, from protocols and core set of ICF and were followed in jobs for systematic observation and understanding of the activity, as a presupposition of ergonomics activity. In the study of different cases it was found that the activities analyzed show that the removal station for reintegration post significant changes. Some study companies have a program for approaching the worker in the period of clearance. The professional courses offered by the INSS, mostly do not meet the requirements of the tasks of the companies, therefore, do not help the worker in the process of returning to work. The worker who returns clearance, is generally placed in the position that the company chooses, since it seeks to meet the restrictions that the Vocational Rehabilitation Program prescribes. However, this does not help you during the process of reintegration and skilled professionals of the company did not accompany him regularly. With the observed situations, it is concluded that the actual return depends on the joint work of these three social actors (company, employee and Vocational Rehabilitation), which complement each other, including analysis of activity in the stations selection process for inclusion, aiming discussions generate fruits that benefit workers and, consequently, companies and the INSS.Item type:Item, Reação de híbridos de citros à inoculação com Alternaria alternata e estudos genéticos associados(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-17) ;Michielin, Thais Helena Villa ;Bastianel, Marinês ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2523177587459092 ;Cristofani-Yaly, Mariângelahttps://lattes.cnpq.br/7829946393687571Alternaria Brown Spot (ABS), caused by Alernaria alternata a fungus which produces a host specific toxin (HST), is a disease of huge importance in mandarin orchards in many producing regions in the world. The selection of varieties resistant to disease is of great economic importance. In this study different hybrids of citrus were evaluated. These hybrids were obtained by directed crosses and preselected by agronomic characteristics that make them potential new varieties of oranges and mandarins, for industry or fresh fruit. The evaluation of these new genotypes is an essential step for the release of new varieties. Seventy-nine hybrids and their parents were subjected to inoculation with an isolated from A. alternaria in detached leaves and plant assays. The severity of disease was measured by the scale described in the literature. The evaluation of Mendelian segregation in hybrids of Murcott tangor and Pera sweet orange, evaluated in greater numbers, allows inference about the genetics of resistance heritability of ABS and to map the genomic region associated with the fungus using an integrated genetic map previously obtained. Different responses were observed after the fungus inoculation. Five hybrids of Willowleaf mandarin like, six hybrids of mandarin like, three hybrids of Murcott like and 21 hybrids of orange like, resistant to ABS, or with few symptoms of the disease were selected. High values of heritability and genetic variability measured indicate that the selection of resistant plants in the progeny can be successful. A resistance gene and molecular markers associated with it were located in the same linkage group 3 of integrated map of Murcott and Pera. The selected genotypes constitute potential material for commercial planting and for the control of disease in the field.Item type:Item, A abordagem da biodiversidade nos resumos públicos dos planos de manejo FSC no Brasil : uma análise crítica(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-06-17) ;Alves, Telma Regina ;Pires, José Salatiel Rodrigues ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3412204514901170https://lattes.cnpq.br/5234265302250519The silviculture activity, as well as other economic activities (industrial, agrarian, farming, etc.), can cause environmental impacts, both positive and negative, according to a number of circumstances, such as in relation to the conditions prior to planting, water regime in the region, the biome of insertion of the activity, the management techniques employed, the integration of the local population, among others. Plantations of exotic species (ex. genera Eucalyptus and Pinus) have been the subject of severe criticism regarding the possible reduction of biodiversity. These criticisms have arisen from situations and relationships that conflict that have occurred, for decades, between those responsible for the implementation and use of these plantations on one side and the other people aware of the need for preservation of biodiversity. In this study we selected 15 Brazilian companies that are certified to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) with the aim of assessing whether the Management Plans from forests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) had evidence of the use of the results of monitoring of biodiversity (especially fauna) in interventions of forest management aimed at biological conservation. The method used was the documentary analysis of the Public Summaries of the Management Plans, between the years of 2011 to 2015, available on the internet. Among the several results obtained, of note is the fact that the 15 forestry companies, 13 (87%) conducted an inventory of qualitative and quantitative aspects of wild fauna, and analyzing the total hectares of areas monitored in relation to the total number of areas in plantation of eucalyptus, in 8 (53%) forestry companies monitoring is conducted in areas that have a range of 5% to 47% of the areas under certification. We can observe, through critical analysis of their management plans, in which they are sampling of static form the structure of biodiversity, through lists of species. It concludes that there are no concrete evidence of the use of information obtained through monitoring of fauna for making decisions about the best ways of intervention of forest management, indicating uncertainty when the real possibility of same to assist in the conservation of biodiversity. This way, was proposed a protocol model for monitoring of fauna, with specific methodologies for the group of wild mammals. In this case, the results can be used in the assessment of the impacts of forest management of forestry companies contributing to the fitting of the form of forest management compatible with the maintenance of its biodiversity.
