The paper it is a scientific and technological study about quality control in the fabrication and assembly of steel structures, developed through the analysis and interpretation of information obtained from literature surveys, technical visits and interviews with companies in the sector, highlighting the knowledge the existing literature. Therefore, they will discuss the processes for obtaining structural steel and its properties, the various stages of fabrication and assembly of steel structures, as well as nondestructive testing. The survey aims to define inspection criteria for the fabrication and assembly of steel structures for early identification of pathological manifestations, present the main pathological symptoms found in steel structures, establishing its origins and causes, exposing a flow chart of the process production of a steel structure showing the main performance checkpoints and, finally, to analyze certain pathological events, indicating failures in the production process. It is concluded that there are precautions to be observed not to make constructive errors, easily preventable through efficient planning and supervision. The study's aim is to promote the exchange of research results to the productive sector and assist in the review and development of standards.

The silviculture activity, as well as other economic activities (industrial, agrarian, farming, etc.), can cause environmental impacts, both positive and negative, according to a number of circumstances, such as in relation to the conditions prior to planting, water regime in the region, the biome of insertion of the activity, the management techniques employed, the integration of the local population, among others. Plantations of exotic species (ex. genera Eucalyptus and Pinus) have been the subject of severe criticism regarding the possible reduction of biodiversity. These criticisms have arisen from situations and relationships that conflict that have occurred, for decades, between those responsible for the implementation and use of these plantations on one side and the other people aware of the need for preservation of biodiversity. In this study we selected 15 Brazilian companies that are certified to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) with the aim of assessing whether the Management Plans from forests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) had evidence of the use of the results of monitoring of biodiversity (especially fauna) in interventions of forest management aimed at biological conservation. The method used was the documentary analysis of the Public Summaries of the Management Plans, between the years of 2011 to 2015, available on the internet. Among the several results obtained, of note is the fact that the 15 forestry companies, 13 (87%) conducted an inventory of qualitative and quantitative aspects of wild fauna, and analyzing the total hectares of areas monitored in relation to the total number of areas in plantation of eucalyptus, in 8 (53%) forestry companies monitoring is conducted in areas that have a range of 5% to 47% of the areas under certification. We can observe, through critical analysis of their management plans, in which they are sampling of static form the structure of biodiversity, through lists of species. It concludes that there are no concrete evidence of the use of information obtained through monitoring of fauna for making decisions about the best ways of intervention of forest management, indicating uncertainty when the real possibility of same to assist in the conservation of biodiversity. This way, was proposed a protocol model for monitoring of fauna, with specific methodologies for the group of wild mammals. In this case, the results can be used in the assessment of the impacts of forest management of forestry companies contributing to the fitting of the form of forest management compatible with the maintenance of its biodiversity.

Alternaria Brown Spot (ABS), caused by Alernaria alternata a fungus which produces a host specific toxin (HST), is a disease of huge importance in mandarin orchards in many producing regions in the world. The selection of varieties resistant to disease is of great economic importance. In this study different hybrids of citrus were evaluated. These hybrids were obtained by directed crosses and preselected by agronomic characteristics that make them potential new varieties of oranges and mandarins, for industry or fresh fruit. The evaluation of these new genotypes is an essential step for the release of new varieties. Seventy-nine hybrids and their parents were subjected to inoculation with an isolated from A. alternaria in detached leaves and plant assays. The severity of disease was measured by the scale described in the literature. The evaluation of Mendelian segregation in hybrids of Murcott tangor and Pera sweet orange, evaluated in greater numbers, allows inference about the genetics of resistance heritability of ABS and to map the genomic region associated with the fungus using an integrated genetic map previously obtained. Different responses were observed after the fungus inoculation. Five hybrids of Willowleaf mandarin like, six hybrids of mandarin like, three hybrids of Murcott like and 21 hybrids of orange like, resistant to ABS, or with few symptoms of the disease were selected. High values of heritability and genetic variability measured indicate that the selection of resistant plants in the progeny can be successful. A resistance gene and molecular markers associated with it were located in the same linkage group 3 of integrated map of Murcott and Pera. The selected genotypes constitute potential material for commercial planting and for the control of disease in the field.

The bat community of the Jatai Ecologic Station region, Northeast of São Paulo State, was studied by comparing bat species surveys, in three forest fragments, to investigate the two components of species diversity, richness and abundance. Twentytwo bat species were recorded, with the sum of the species from the three fragments. Three phyllostomid species were dominant in two forest fragments, and two Molossidae species were dominant in other. Many bat species were rare. Species diversity obtained, measured by the Shannon index (He '), was similar in the three fragments, and close to the values of most studies of brazilian Southeastern bat communities (He’close to 2.0). This suggests constancy in the pattern of species diversity of bats in this region, and also in Southeastern Brazil. Of the 22 species recorded, four can be considered highly sensitive to the habitat fragmentation. The diversity achieved was significant, highlighting the value of these protected areas for the maintenance of local and regional biodiversity. The Red List of IUCN (The IUCN Red List) has been used to provide information about the conservation status of the species worldwide, and the same subsidize jobs assigned to this issue, with special focus on endangered species. At the national level, ICMBio (Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation) has the same goal, to discuss the conservation status of the Brazilian species, developing lists that guide actions to protect them. Using the information provided by IUCN and ICMBio, and bats records in the cerrado, considering the Brazilian territory, here are discussed aspects of ecology and conservation of bat species, in order to clarify some aspects of interest in this topic. Using the spatial interpolation method (IDW) to estimate the possible value of species richness in places not sampled species, was evaluated knowledge about the species richness of occurrence of bats in the cerrado of Brazil.

Manifestations Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WRMSDs) in the workplace have been of concern, as its growth has forced the society to deal with this problem high economic impact due to the significant increase in the number of absences related to work. After diagnosis and removal, the INSS medical expert, according to conditions / worker capabilities, forwards it to the Vocational Rehabilitation Program INSS, which should provide the means of professional and social rehabilitation, according to the Federal Constitution. However, the difficulties of the Ministry of Social Security in return method of workers away by WRMSDs has been the subject of discussion. This study aimed to understand of the process of return to the employee's work away for WRMSDs, through the activity of ergonomics, focusing on the need for interaction between business, labor and INSS. The methodology was designed / led by a return to work flow chart created by the researcher from the model of inclusion of people with disabilities of Simonelli (2009). The methodology consisted initially of approval of UFSCar's Ethics Committee for the collection and analysis of data in the four companies that agreed to participate, and Term of Consent of workers. For data collection, the workers were interviewed, underwent evaluation capacity for work, from protocols and core set of ICF and were followed in jobs for systematic observation and understanding of the activity, as a presupposition of ergonomics activity. In the study of different cases it was found that the activities analyzed show that the removal station for reintegration post significant changes. Some study companies have a program for approaching the worker in the period of clearance. The professional courses offered by the INSS, mostly do not meet the requirements of the tasks of the companies, therefore, do not help the worker in the process of returning to work. The worker who returns clearance, is generally placed in the position that the company chooses, since it seeks to meet the restrictions that the Vocational Rehabilitation Program prescribes. However, this does not help you during the process of reintegration and skilled professionals of the company did not accompany him regularly. With the observed situations, it is concluded that the actual return depends on the joint work of these three social actors (company, employee and Vocational Rehabilitation), which complement each other, including analysis of activity in the stations selection process for inclusion, aiming discussions generate fruits that benefit workers and, consequently, companies and the INSS.
