listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Os Xikrin do Bacajá e a Usina Hidrelétrica de Belo Monte : uma crítica indígena à política dos brancos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-09-16) Silva, Thais Regina Mantovanelli da; Cohn, Clarice; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1714080901123094; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5107026474104676The Xikrin Bacajá live "the era of impacts" since the resumption of the licensing process and construction of the hydroelectric plant of Belo Monte. Ngô beyêt is as they call the dam, "standing water, water locked" and expand the meaning of the term for "rotten water, dirty water, old water." In order to strengthen this image of Belo Monte, the thesis presents an ethnographic description of the Xikrin criticism regarding of the white policy in three of its elements: meeting, document, project. The negative elements of the white policy are treated analytically as artifacts being opposed to the forms of existence valued by Xikrin kukràdjà, Mẽbengôkre culture. The contrastive analysis, as well as an important methodological procedure was a widely used resource by Xikrin to express their criticism of the policy of the whites. The contrast images became argumentative form of the thesis, justifying its division into two parts. The analogy by contrast also aims to highlight the image that Xikrin wanted to convey to white of Belo Monte, as a collective of people who share correct and beautiful ways of acting and being in the world. Thus, the depreciation of the white policy will be presented from the appreciation of the Xikrin mode of existence, kukràdjà, the culture of Mẽbengôkre, emphasizing its importance summarily ignored by white of Belo Monte.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Diversidade de Curculionidae (Scolytinae, Platypodinae) e Bostrichidae em plantios de teca, Tectona grandis L.f., 1782, no Estado do Pará, Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-09-16) Ferreira, Carla Samara dos Santos; Flechtmann, Carlos Alberto Hector; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3751581397164912; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3698292630023584The teak wood is one of the most valuable in the world, creating interest among producers in its quality and great commercial value. In Brazil plantations are concentrated in the Midwest and North, and due to the increase in these exotic plantations, monitoring is necessary to learn about their insect diversity. In 2008 a program to monitor the quarantine pest Sinoxylon unidentatum (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae) in Tectona grandis was started in the state of Pará, Brazil, because of the proximity to the state of Mato Grosso, area of occurrence of this pest. The general objective of this research was to monitor S. unidentatum and other beetle borers in Canaã dos Carajás, Cumaru do Norte, Pau D’ Arco, Rio Maria, São Domingos do Araguaia and Ulianópolis. Our specific objectives were to determine the richness and diversity of Curculionidae (Scolytinae, Platypodinae) and Bostrichidae in these plantations, and to know if there was a seasonal variation for their most abundant species. Trappings were done biweekly with ethanol-baited flight intercept traps from June 2011 to April 2013, totaling 115 collections. We captured 10147 specimens of beetle borers, distributed in eight sub-tribes, and totaling 90 species. In Rio Maria we found the greatest diversity of beetles and in São Domingos do Araguaia the greatest richness. There was a predominance of Scolytinae of the sub-tribe Cryphalina, which probably develop in the understory or dry material above the soil. We trapped significantly more Bostrichidae and Hypothenemus during the dry season. Sinoxylon unidentatum, target species that started this research, was not detected.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Treinamento resistido e reposição hormonal aumentam a atividade das metaloproteinases-2 e a qualidade de osso de ratas ovariectomizadas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-09-16) Souza, Markus Vinicius Campos; Perez, Sergio Eduardo de Andrade; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9408953831211309; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2989329210364477Purpose: The aim of the present study was to investigate the influence of resistance training (RT) and hormone replacement (HR) on MMP-2 activity, biomechanical and physical properties bone of ovariectomized (OVX) rats. Methods: Sprague-Dawley female rats were grouped into six experimental groups (n = 11 per group): shamoperated sedentary (SHAM Sed), ovariectomized sedentary (OVX Sed), sham-operated resistance training (SHAM RT), ovariectomized resistance training (OVX RT),(OVX Sed-HR), and OVX RT-HR. HR groups received implanted silastic capsules with a 5% solution of 17β-estradiol (50 mg 17β-estradiol/ml of sunflower oil). In a 12-week RT period (27 sessions; 4–9 climbs) the animals climbed a 1.1 m vertical ladder with weights attached to their tails. Biomechanical and physical bone analyses were performed using a universal testing machine, and MMP-2 activity analysis was done by zymography. Results: Bone density and bone mineral content was higher in the RT and HR groups. The MMP-2 activity was higher in the RT and HR groups. The biomechanical analysis (stiffness, fracture load and maximum load) demonstrated better bone tissue quality in the RT associated with HR. Conclusion: The RT alone as well as when it is associated with HR was efficient in increasing MMP-2 activity, biomechanical and biophysical properties bone of ovariectomized rats.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Indicadores de desempenho para núcleos de inovação tecnológica a partir de experiências nacionais e internacionais(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-09-16) Bueno, Alexandre; Torkomian, Ana Lúcia Vitale; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2321084184622795; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6407503018881551The use of performance indicators can help in decision-making, the definition of strategic actions in the planning, scenario display (current and future) and the results of operations of Technological Innovation Nucleus. This study aims to define a set of performance indicators for the management of technology transfer offices in Brazil, to evaluate, monitor the development and evolution of their actions and accomplishments. Therefore, there was a review of literature on the subject and access to and knowledge of international practices of intellectual property management and technology transfer in universities , which allowed consideration of performance indicators found so far, and the identification other new again featured and updated based on the literature. Were subsequently validated by experts (researchers with publications in the field and qualified professionals who work directly in the management of the NIT) and then there was the application of performance indicators in Brazilian universities (case studies), with reference (for obtaining data) 2015 (alone) and accumulated in the last five years (2011-2015). The importance of the issue is justified by the possibility of using them to understand, assess and monitor the evolution of the university technology transfer process for the company. The study may have great value to understand the actions taken by the NIT, contribute to the formulation of public policies (internal and universities), with the creation of a favorable environment for synergy and cooperation with business, and finally as a process accountability to society (demonstrating the achievements of technological innovation nucleus). In the search results include of performance indicators that can be used by Brazilian universities, the results achieved by each NIT and comparison among them.
