The dissertation aims to analyze the representations of the female body in the chronicles of Angolan Writer Ana Paula Tavares, gathered in A cabeça de Salomé (2004). From the theoretical discussions about the concept of body, elucidating the writings of women authors in Angola as outraged bodies (subaltern, uncommon, foreigners, handicapped, unruly, insurgent or minority), we intend to develop a deeper look in the prose of Ana Paula Tavares, and how a feminine bodily representation appears and could be treated.

This research presents results of an investigation of educational pedagogy done with a group of second grade students from an Elementary School. The investigation involved observations of the Moon and educational activities used to teach about Moon phases. An overview of the academic literature on the teaching of the theme of the Moon and its phases was conducted, with a bibliographical review of theses and dissertations, journal articles, papers presented at selected conferences, and some international papers on this topic. From the literature review, it was found that there are few studies that actually address of how observation of the Moon in the sky can be used to effectively teach Moon phases to elementary school students. In this study, students observed and recorded the appearance of the Moon and its place in the sky through drawings. The drawings included the position of the Moon relative to the horizon and used observations made at the school and at their homes during part of a lunar month. Using these initial Moon observations and the student drawings, there were discussions in the classroom designed to consolidate student knowledge. In this research, the data were obtained through interviews, class records, and student observations notebooks. A control group was not used. The researcher was also the teacher of the class where the research was developed. The student observations made it possible for the students to perceive the Moon's apparent motion, as well as its change of appearance over several nights. Through classroom discussions centered on the observations, it was clear that the observations helped develop student concept knowledge of Moon phases that would be difficult to develop from classroom experiences that did not include observations. This experiential connection from the observation of the Moon fostered a relationship with the knowledge implied to the reality of nature. For the initial years, in the Astronomy teaching, this is an important link that can promote the learning of such contents, from the senses of the child and the teacher intervention in a flexible and open way.

Motivações para o estudo do piano
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-12-14) Oliveira, Leonardo Daniel de; Lombardi, Lucia Maria Salgado dos Santos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5697508831302188; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9021807629696227
The present work was born out of a concern of the author, as a student of the Pedagogy course and Education professional, about what would be the factors and the motivations that influence people when deciding which musical instrument to choose as a learning medium and cultural development. In order to investigate this subject, a qualitative and bibliographic study with field study was carried out. The main authors of the text are Santos (2006), Blacking (2007) and Vannucchi (2011) on the concept of culture; Pinto (2004) and Mateiro (2007) on the musical context in general; Amato (2007), Borges (2010) and Albuquerque (2011) support the development of the analysis of the various aspects of piano study in Brazil. The field investigation was done at the Municipal Conservatory Maestro Henrique Castellari, in the city of Salto, State of São Paulo, through questionnaires answered by seven students. The work is divided into four chapters. The first is the Memorial, in which the author approaches his musical experiences since childhood. The second chapter presents the theoretical framework. The third chapter describes the methodology and the fourth presents the data analysis. The results point to multiple influences in the choice of instrument, revealing that the piano is considered a complete instrument, with many possibilities, and that influences in a positive way the character, the personal formation and the musical preferences of the students.

The context of the indigenous movement in Brazil, observe the proeminence of indigenous leaders who come to narrate the memories told in the first-person singular, in an attempt to speak on behalf of their groups. These speeches become important to understand, beyond the indigenous movement, the subjectivity Amerindians schemes, the emergence of autobiographical subject within the ethnology and its implications in writing the ethnographic text. Once, as from his speeches, that policy and poetic notions they emerge for the anthropologist as part of an ethnographic text. From this discussion, this research performs an approach of memories and narratives of a tupi guarani leadership that lives in the village Ywytu Guaçu (Renascer) in the city of Ubatuba / SP, the leader Antonio da Silva Awa. It is an ethnography that focuses on the effects of the meeting such leadership, these effects expressed through statements, speeches and quotidian advice. These speeches open up possibilities for other reflections such as the use of a specific self-designation that make use of category mixture as singularity attribute of a people, the relationships with several other "types of people," the commitment to actions and negotiations seeking to reconcile interests between distinct worlds, amerindians ways politics gets done and the highlight of indigenous representatives as prestigious leadership and recognition in their groups. That everything associated with the idea of production and formation of subjects tupi guarani and the learning from ancients.

Efficient bayesian methods for mixture models with genetic applications
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-12-14) Zuanetti, Daiane Aparecida; Milan, Luis Aparecido; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7435391829973844; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8352484284929824
We propose Bayesian methods for selecting and estimating di erent types of mixture models which are widely used in Genetics and Molecular Biology. We speci cally propose data-driven selection and estimation methods for a generalized mixture model, which accommodates the usual (independent) and the rst-order (dependent) models in one framework, and QTL (quantitative trait locus) mapping models for independent and pedigree data. For clustering genes through a mixture model, we propose three nonparametric Bayesian methods: a marginal nested Dirichlet process (NDP), which is able to cluster distributions and, a predictive recursion clustering scheme (PRC) and a subset nonparametric Bayesian (SNOB) clustering algorithm for clustering big data. We analyze and compare the performance of the proposed methods and traditional procedures of selection, estimation and clustering in simulated and real data sets. The proposed methods are more exible, improve the convergence of the algorithms and provide more accurate estimates in many situations. In addition, we propose methods for predicting nonobservable QTLs genotypes and missing parents and improve the Mendelian probability of inheritance of nonfounder genotype using conditional independence structures. We also suggest applying diagnostic measures to check the goodness of t of QTL mapping models.

Perfil dermatoglífico, somatotípico e fisiológico de atletas de elite do rafting
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-12-14) Takehara, Julio Cesar; Duarte, Ana Cláudia Garcia de Oliveira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1996950253264696; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1033610693200363
Rafting is a modality that is summed up in the descent of rivers in inflatable boats, in which the members of the boat paddle under the command of an instructor responsible for the orientation of the group during the course, in leisure and tourism activities. However, when it comes to competition, rafting can be practiced by female or male teams, with an initial age of 15 years, in competitions held in three days of events, and in R6 and R4 modalities. The objective of this research was to identify the dermatoglyphic profile, the body composition, the somatotype, the motor tests, the lipid profile, the glycemic and the ergospirometry profile of the elite rafting athletes. Participants were seven male athletes with 21.5 ± 0.5 years, of the sub-23 category. Dermatoglyphic characteristics were evaluated by computerized scanning, body composition by Bio impedance InBody 720, and somatotropy by anthropometric measurements. The motor tests were abdominal, arm support, vertical thrust, Shuttle-run test and aerobic power by ergospirometry in adapted ergometer rowing. The normality test of Shapiro Wilk was used, after applying the Pearson correlation coefficient for the variables, considering a significant value of p <0.05. The athletes presented in the fingerprints 9% of arches, 19% of whorls and 72% of loops, still an average of 112.7 ± 29.9 LQTS and 10.7 ± 2.1 D10; Mean body mass of 72.3 ± 6.9 kg; Height 174.8 ± 7.2 cm; BMI 23.7 ± 1.7 kg/m2, endomorph components 2.6 ± 0.8, mesomorph 5.4 ± 1.3, ectomorph 2.2 ± 0.9, percentage of fat 10.0 ± 4.8 %, Fat mass 7.4 ± 4.1 kg, lean mass 64.9 ± 5.4 kg and skeletal muscle mass 35.5 ± 3.0 kg. The mean load for ergospirometry was 100.0 ± 17.9 W and the maximum oxygen consumption of 66.2 0.8 ml.kg-1.min-1, the production of carbon dioxide 79.6 ± 1, 5 ml.kg-1.min-1, the maximum ventilation 96.9 ± 2.2 l.min-1 respiratory quotient at the time of fatigue 1.2 ± 0.0 and the maximum heart rate 198.5 ± 05 bpm. Blood glucose was 83.7 ± 6.5 mg/dl, cholesterol 169.0 ± 32.7 mg/dl, triglycerides 71.0 ± 15.3 mg/dl and creatinine 1.0 ± 0.1 mg/dl. In the abdominal test 57.0 ± 12.7 repetitions, in the arm support 59.7 ± 13.7 repetitions, in the vertical impulse 51.2 ± 8.6 cm, in the agility 11.5 ± 1.1 seconds. There were strong positive correlations (r> 0.75) for the variables VO2max and VO2max, clamp and MME, veticilo and age, veticilo and VO2max, D10 and age, D10 and MME, SQTL and age. And strong negative correlations (r> -0.75) between the whorl and endomorph component and D10 and endomorph component. It is concluded that the identification of dermatoglyphic profile, body composition, somatotípia, biochemical, motor tests and ergo-spirometry of athletes of high-performance rafting can be applied directly in the orientation of the training strategies, of the various physical qualities involved in this sport, As an auxiliary measure to physical training. This statement is based on the results presented here that reflect the profile of the high performance in the modality, and which, in turn, suggest the predisposition of a subject to said sport.
