In Brazil several works were carried out considering a general diversity of underground organisms from different regions. The Parque Nacional Cavernas do Peruaçu (PNCP), near the municipality of Itacarambi, Minas Gerais states, highlighted by works carried out with the troglobite catfish (exclusive of subterranean environment) Trichomycterus itacarambiensis Trajano and Pinna (1996), the end of the Olhos d’ Água cave. In addition to catfish, a cave is home to other populations of troglobites, such as the harvestmen Iandumoema uai Pinto-da-Rocha (1996) and the whip spider Charinus eleonorae Baptista and Giupponi (2003). The populations of the Eusarcus cavernicola Hara and Pinto-da-Rocha (2008) and Eusarcus aduncus Mello-Leitão (1942). Considering the populations of the mentioned arachnid species, we investigated from the marking and recapture method as size and population density. In addition, we analyzed the distribution of the troglóbios (I. uai and C. eleonorae) in relation to troglófilos (E. cavernicola and E. aduncus). Finally, from collections made in caves of the PNCP analyzes a diversity of the subterranean fauna in relation to Olhos d 'Água cave. Our results showed that the population of I. uai opium is numerically higher than others, with population values and higher densities. In addition, I. uai widely distributed in the various regions of the Olhos d 'Água cave, as well as C. eleonorae. In contrast, E. cavernicola and E. aduncus are restricted within the cavern with populations secreted relative to I. uai and C. eleonorae. Still, the Olhos d 'Água cave presents greater subterranean diversity with occurrence of troglophiles, troglóbites and relict specie.

This work is a theoretical effort that aims to give light to a debate about the formation and development of a paradigm into scientific knowledge. More specifically the proposal is to analyze some aspects about how the scientific institutions, understood as the rules, the organization and the structure, develop a new paradigm. To reach the objectives of this work, we will analyze the case of Agroecology, a self-titled new science with a new paradigm. In order to give an account of our case study, we have based the social studies of science from the writings of Thomas Kuhn and Pierre Bourdieu, given basis to the concepts of paradigm and social fields, that we use to analyze agroecological field, and the scientific field. The paper analyzes the science, based in social analyzes of science, and the formation of the agroecological field, trying to understand what are the assumptions that compose it as a new paradigm. With this in hand, the paper analyzes the adequacy of this field to the national scientific institutions, identifying how the teaching and research is composed at the existing rules for universities and research institutes, for which analyzes two cases, in undergraduate, and three postgraduate studies. From this analysis, the work concludes that this adequacy tends to provoke a predominance of some areas of knowledge towards others, reaching some of the assumptions of the paradigm in question.

The financialization process made the shareholder value ideology become the main guiding principle of corporate behavior, which resulted in several changes in the organizations, for instance, in the profile and way the managers operates and in the strategies and management practices adopted. In this context, the approaches of quality management, which focus on providing superior value to the customers, had to adapt to maintain its legitimacy towards the shareholder value ideology. In this sense, this thesis aims to explore the influence of the elements of the management based on the financial logic in the National Quality Award, which is one of the most contemporary approaches of the quality management. The relevance of this study, due to the fact that there is a few empirical studies that analyzed the influence of financial logic in quality management approaches and in Brazilian organizations. In order to reach the described objective, an exploratory study was carried out based on secondary data, from a documentary research. This included the analysis of the existence of elements of the management based on the financial logic in the versions of the Management Excellence Model used by the National Quality Award and in the 66 companies that won the award between 1992 to 2016. The results point out the influence of financial logic in the National Quality Award. The analysis of the versions of the Management Excellence Model demonstrated that concepts of financial logic were gradually being incorporated instead of practices related to the quality management. The analysis of the profile of the companies that won the National Quality Award showed that 36% of the companies were awarded post-privatizations, which ocourred in the 1990s, with the predominance of companies of eletric energy segment. The analysis of the executives showed that members of the top management of more than 20 winning companies have acted on the boards of the National Quality Foudantion contributing to the formulation of the award guidelines. In addition, it was verified the existence of board interlockings in the winning organizations, which favored the dissemination of the Management Excellence Model and the National Quality Award. Finally, the analysis of the profile of the presidents of the winning companies demonstrated the predominance of executives with professional background in financial areas and post-graduation in finance, which are valued by the finance conception of control. This thesis indicated the reconversion of the the National Quality Award towards adherence to the management discourse based on the financial logic due to the need to maintain its legitimacy.

This dissertation deals with the study of the influence of void geometry on the shear capacity of prestressed hollow core slabs. Based on analytical models for the tension shear capacity for uncracked sections, which were first proposed by YANG (1994) and latter modified by PAJARI (2005), a calculation procedure applying spreadsheets has being proposed for the prior definition of the void geometry, allowing an easy and quick way to evaluate the efficiency of the void shape to provide shear capacity. In addition, the influence of the variation of the angle of failure for the tension shear mechanism has been confronted against experimental results, giving indication that the fixed angle of 35º assumed by YANG (1994) is an adequate inclination to be considered in design. Calculation examples were presented in order to elucidate the main concepts discussed in this work. Comparisons were made considering the Brazilian normative model and the Yang-Pajari model for tension shear, from results obtained experimentally for prototypes whose rupture occurred by diagonal traction, and for the Brazilian standard model, safety results were not verified for slabs with oblong cores; as opposed to the YANG-PAJARI model applied to the same slabs, providing satisfactory results. In addition, the analytical model based on the Brazilian code of practice for structural concrete has been verified against experimental results for slabs with oblong cores, wherein some of the experimental results were found below the predicted values. However, as the number of experimental results was small, future experimental investigation is needed in order to verify the reliability of this analytical model.

Being a global phenomenon, the motorization process has advanced in the last decades and is characterized mainly by the increase of motor vehicles used in the individual transport. The evidence suggests the association of the process with the deficiencies of public transport, the model of urban land occupation and the economic policies to encourage the automobile industry in recent decades. In view of the aggravation of the national scenario, the new guidelines of the National Urban Mobility Policy were instituted in 2012 with the purpose of encouraging the use of collective transportation and non-motorized modes. In spite of representing an innovation, with admittedly positive propositions, several questions are raised, especially regarding the financing of infrastructure and the sharing of the costs of public transport and other initiatives aimed at urban mobility. The new legislation did not give due attention to motorcycles, as it saw them under the same conditions as cars and other motor vehicles, despite their recognized vulnerability. This is the reason why small safety initiatives in the use of this type of vehicle are important. It was verified that some parking spaces for motorcycles available on the campus São Carlos of the UFSCar have reduced dimensions or some difficulty for their access, besides the disproportionality in front of the offer of vacancies for the automobiles. The hypothesis was then formulated about the outdating of the parameters used in the distribution of the vacancies, dimensions and in the maximum slope of the floor, particularly in parking lots positioned outside the streets. The bibliographic review was applied to collect propositions regarding these parameters. A questionnaire was also sent to the municipal transit authorities, which allowed verification the criteria for the deployment of new parking lots. The case study was used to analyze the adopted parameters and was inferred by the veracity of the initial hypothesis. It was also verified that in the majority of the studied cases the size of the vacancies do not follow the recommendation of the regulator of traffic. It was found that the distribution of parking spaces between motorcycles and automobiles does not correspond to the proportion observed in the municipal, state and regional vehicle fleet. It was concluded that the specificities of the motorcycles were not considered in relation to the inclination of the floor of the parking lots. Based on the information obtained during the research, the proposals for adequacy for UFSCar parking lots were made.

The cities are under a process of constant expansion, which generates degradation of the natural system. However, economic progress and the cities growth depends on the stability of ecosystems as a way to supply resources for human activities. Some urban planning models and approaches were designed in different contexts and scales as a way to build more harmonious cities within their natural environment, also to compose a set of inspiring theories and practices to promote advances in this scenario for the Brazilian cities. In the search to match the development of urban systems and the balance of natural ecosystems, this research aims to structure criteria and guidelines to guide the development of reduced environmental impact urban projects. To analyze this potential, it is suggested their application in peri-urban expansion zones of São Carlos (São Paulo State). Additionally, urban instruments and regulations will be analyzed regarding the potential application of the proposal, through a research protocol. For the criteria and guidelines by itself, it is expected that a critical analyze of its application could, in some way, contribute to the development of reduced environmental impact in urban projects.

Aluminum sheets are produced by rolling followed by annealing. However when submitted to deep drawing earing appears, caused by the plastic anisotropy resulting from the production process. After annealing the main texture is cube {001} , that is recognized as being the cause of this heterogeneity during deep drawing. The literature shows that when shear stress is applied in the deformation process, it leads to texture changes. In this study asymmetric rolling (AR) was used as a technique to produce shear. The shear stress is introduced by the different velocities between the upper and bottom rolls and in this study this was achieved by using roll radius relations (r1/r2) of 1,5 and 2. Rolling reductions of 50% in thickness were applied to aluminum AA1050 sheets. The conventional rolling (CR) was compared to the asymmetric rolling (AR), at two different reduction rates: 5% and 10%. The crystallographic textures were obtained by xray diffraction. Finite element analysis, using the DEFORM software, was used to analyze the effective strain distribution throughout the thickness as well as its components: normal strain, shear strain and rigid body rotation. The samples were annealed in a furnace with 350°C for 05, 10, 15, 20 and 60 minutes. The microstructure was characterized by optical microscopy, electron back scatter diffraction and x-ray diffraction. The plastic anisotropy (Lankford Parameter) was measured by tensile experiments at three different sheet directions and by the Erichsen test. The deformed samples’ microstructure was analyzed at the surface near to the upper roll and at half of the thickness. For the CR the main components were brass (Bs) {011} , Goss (Gs) {011} and copper (Cu) {112} , with 8.8 intensity at the central layer, and 4.5 at the surface. For AR samples the was more random at the surface of the samples with 5% of reduction per pass, added to a component of rotation in the normal direction, what resulted in cube and rotated cube textures or near to these orientations, generating a type of fiber {100}//ND. The maximum intensities for the (r1/r2) of 1,5 and 2 were 3 and 4, respectively. For the samples with 10% of reduction per pass the rolled texture was still presented, with a more intense rotation in the transversal direction related to the rolling direction and shear texture components {100}//ND and . The maximum intensities were 3 and 3.5 , for the (r1/r2) of 1,5 and 2, respectively. In the center layer of the samples with 5% of reduction per pass for (r1/r2) of 1,5 and 2 showed a intensity of 5.26 and 6.56, respectively and the strongest shear texture was rotated Goss (C). (011)[0-1- 1] The samples with 10% reduction per pass showed the greatest reduction of intensity with 3.05 and 3.63, for the (r1/r2) of 1,5 and 2 respectively, and the highest intensity was related to rotate the Goss (011)[0-1-1] component. In the pole figures rotations around the transversal direction (TD) and the normal direction (ND) were observed. Using the finite element analysis the rotation around the TD and ND were quantified and its variation across the thickness were analyzed. The rigid body rotation is superposed to shear , which leads to the observed texture gradients. The rotation around TD is imposed by the velocity difference between top and bottom roll, whereas the ND rotation is imposed by the experimental configuration, which permit variation of the sample alignment at the roll mill entrance. This was stronger for the 5% reduction rate and more concentrated at the samples surface. After 05 minutes the annealed samples were already recrystallized , after 60 minutes the grain average size was 30µm, and hardness 21HV. The annealed texture for the CR sample showed the greatest concentration off Cube texture {001} and intensity of 8.08 times the random. For the AR samples with 5% reduction per pass the intensities for the (r1/r2) of 1,5 and 2 was 5.88 and 6.56, respectively, and for the 10% reduction per pass 2.96 and 2.85, respectively. The AR decreases the annealed texture. In the samples of 5% reduction per pass the most intense shear texture was rotated Goss, the 10% reduction per pass did not have a predominant component. The Lankford parameters showed less anisotropy for the annealed samples with 10% reduction per pass. Based on the values of anisotropy and hardening exponent for each sample, the Limiting Rate of Drawing was calculated. The AR got a superior values than the CR ones, indicating an improvement of the drawability.

Porous anodic alumina can be obtained, in addition to conventional methods such as potentiostatic and galvanostatic, or by pulsed method. Among these are the methods of discontinuous pulse, hybrid pulse and polarized pulse methods. The structures formed by these methods can be applied to sensors and photonic materials. In this work the influences of the pulse parameters for the porous anodic alumina were investigated by polarized pulse potentiostatic anodization. Data analysis was presented from the duty cycle seen in the literature, which provides important information about the structure formed for the applied conditions and, in addition, new ways of analyzing the data related to the pulse, such as the analysis of the potential difference and the pulse frequency, this latter complementing the analysis of the duty cycle. As a result it was possible to observe that the porous anodic alumina thickness obtained is proportional to the duty cycle applied, where the higher duty cycle, the greater the thickness obtained. From the potential difference, the differences in the morphological and optical parameters could be analyzed by the influence of the negative minimum voltage applied during the pulsed anodization. The pulse frequency, also discussed in this work, was used to analyze different pulse periods for the same duty cycle, demonstrating that can be obtained structures with different values by varying the value of the pulse frequency. For the porosity calculation, an application was developed that helped to obtain the pore distance, which is one of the variables used to calculate the porosity. With the porosity values, the effective refractive index of each sample was calculated to find the effective optical thickness (EOT) and, finally, the thickness of the obtained anodic alumina film.

The productive chain of the alembic cachaca is one of the most promising in the developing agroindustry in Brazil. The vinasse is the main waste of the productive activity, due to the large volume generated. The environmental dynamics demands the reuse of industrial wastes, but such use may lead to situations of environmental pollution when the wastes are poorly handled or applied in excessive amounts. In addition, there are a few studies that evaluate the composition of vinasses derived from the production of cachaça and its suitability to the fertigation. In this context, the present work aimed to evaluate the influence of the sugarcane management and variety on the composition of the vinasse from alembic cachaça. A randomized block design was utilized in a factorial 3X3, with three varieties (RB867515, RB966928 and RB855453) and three cane managements (conventional, organic and control). The experiment had four repetitions for each management and variety, with 9 treatments and 36 parcels in the totality. The samples of vinasse were evaluated for pH and concentrations of macronutrients and micronutrients (Carbon, Nitrogen, Carbon/Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Sulfur, Iron, Copper, Manganese and Zinc). The results were submitted to analysis of variance (ANOVA) and when differences were significant, Tukey´s test was applied by using Assistat program. There was significant effect of the management (organic and conventional) only on three elements of the vinasse composition, C, K and Mg, the highest concentrations were observed in the vinasse coming from conventional cane management. Regarding cane variety, there was significant effect only on Ca and Mg in the variety RB867515 and RB855453, respectively. The conclusion is that the sugarcane management and the variety had a little influence on the vinasse composition from alembic cachaça. The vinasse composition varied more in accordance with the conditions of distillation of the fermented must for the production of cachaça. The vinasses obtained in the present work, regardless the cane management and variety, presented composition rich in macronutrients and micronutrients when compared to the cachaça or ethanol vinasse compositions reported in literature, featuring N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, Fe and Cu.

In this study, the synthesis of phthalocyanine derivatives with extended conjugation were proposed. In order to obtain these compounds, two main strategies were applied. One of them, was the Heck-Mizoroki cross-coupling methodology for the synthesis of substituted naphthalocyanines starting from an octahalogenated phthalocyanine. The other one, was to synthesize a novel phthalocyanine derivative starting from 3,4-dicyano-1,6-methano[10]annulene, which under cyclotetramerization conditions furnished a compound with absorptions at 720 and 800 nm.

The present research had as an objective to identify the concepts multifunctional-resource-class teachers and school supervisors have of intellectual disability and evaluation, after being submitted to an education course. It also aimed at analyzing how the assessment processes of students showing possible intellectual disability for enrollment in special education programs have been occurring, and subsidize work in a pedagogical evaluation which guarantees each and every student the right to learn in school. Developed in a town in Parana State which adopts the psycho-educational evaluation in the school context, a model constituted of pedagogical assessment aided by psychological opinion with the diagnoses of the disability, its subjects were the multifunctional-resource-class teachers and school supervisors of the public municipal education network, the ones in charge of the pedagogical assessment and the Coordinator of Basic Education of Secretaria da Educação Municipal ( Municipal Board of Education). Supported by critical educational theories and their bases, the methodological forwarding happened under a historic and dialectic perspective, whose approach makes possible the proximity and understanding of social practices which involve the processes studied, in order to more than understand them, to try to transform them. The course offered to the participants in the research was based in the historic-critic pedagogy and the educational meetings were videotaped for data collection. The talks were transcribed and organized in theme axes about: the education course, concepts of evaluation, concepts of intellectual disability and evaluation practices. As a result, it was verified that the participants’ concepts of evaluation validate this tool as a means to indicate ways towards the student’s learning. Nevertheless, the course takers focus more on the skills that must be developed by the students than on the factors external to them, which make this development possible, such as the very pedagogical practice itself. Concerning the concept of intellectual disability, it was noticed a mixture of concepts: some course takers present a speech primarily focused on an organicist view, and others, more focused on the interaction perspective. About the evaluation practice, it was verified that the course takers have knowledge about the necessary proceedings to refer the students to assessment and the norms adopted by the city; some course takers showed resistance to the participation of school professionals in the evaluation process, indicate the segmentation among the teams who act within and outside the school, besides the predominance of the opinions of such teams over the ones of the school pedagogical team. The clinical area professionals’ diagnoses are considered important, however criticism to them can be noticed, especially when their results do not correspond to the expectancy of the school. Based on the pedagogical evaluation performed in the school context, reports on students who had their learning process redefined and stopped being sent for psychological assessment in order to identify a possible disability outstands. It is concluded that the education course offered constituted a space for reflection, which made possible, changes in concepts of intellectual disability and its evaluation processes.

This research is based on the premise that the improvement of bicycle transport conditions could help improve the quality of life in cities, due to the wide range of social, environmental, economic and health benefits associated with this mode. The purpose of the cycling networks addressed in this study is to establish connections between potential points of origin and destination of cyclists, in order to offer the most appropriate routes between the points of interest. For this, the identification and study in the Travel Generating Poles (PGVs) are convenient, since Origin-Destination (O / D) surveys, capable of providing information about travel demands, are rare in the context of Brazilian cities. The prerogative of this study is to identify the implications of opinions and travel behavior of cyclists in the planning of cycling networks in medium-sized cities. Based on the bibliographic review, the main factors that influence the choice of routes by cyclists were identified, as well as some models of bicycle service level evaluation (NSB), in order to provide a solid theoretical discussion, allowing a better understanding of the studied reality. Subsequently, surveys have been carried out with cyclists at Bicycle Travel Generating Poles (application of a questionnaire and registration of routes traveled by cyclists using GPS devices), followed by the diagnosis of the Level of Service for Bicycle of the routes traveled by cyclists and the shortest ways between origins and destinations of cyclists. The implications of cyclists' opinions and travel behavior for cycling planning lie in directing the proposition to direct cycling networks, that minimize the deviation of connections between origins and destinations (PGVs), as well as provide basic infrastructures such as adequate lighting and well-maintained pavement.

It is known that transition metal complexes are compounds with a wide range of applications, due to, for example, its structural versatility and variability of electronic properties. A wide range of these compounds have vital functions in living organisms, being found in enzymes, proteins and cofactors. So, the potentiality of such complexes for the catalytic activity is related to the presence of possible active sites for substrate coordination and the occurrence of the catalyzed reaction. In search for inorganic compounds that act as mimetic models for the enzyme Catechol Oxidase, there were synthesized monometallic zirconium (IV) and zinc (II) complexes. The ligands used were tridentate Schiff base originated by the reaction between diaminomaleonitrile and salicylaldehyde, or 4-substituted salicylaldehyde. Those compounds were characterized through techniques such as solubility tests, melting point tests, molar conductivity measures, vibrational and electronic spectroscopies and 1H nuclear magnetic resonance. The complexes were tested for its functional mimetic activity for the enzyme Catechol Oxidase by conducting the reaction between 3,5-di-tert-butylcatechol and O2, to form 3,5-di-tert-butyl-ortho-quinone. It was found that in 24 h the zinc complex without substituent on the aromatic ring of the ligand has a catalytic behavior, resulting in a conversion 17 % higher than that observed in the test without catalyst. The results for all other complexes suggested inhibitory activity and the tested zirconium complex was the one which the inhibition effect was more pronounced. In the first four hours of reaction it presented conversions of 5 % of the converted in the test without catalyst.

The aim of this work is to apply design of experiment methodologyin the development of a dissolution method during the early phase ofdevelopment of a generic product in pharmaceutical industry. The model drug used during the development was the biphasic release product Zolpidem CR, which contains 12.5 mg of Zolpidem Hemitartrate per tablet. Previous to experimental design, a Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)was performed to choose the most important variables.Four variables were considered the most importants to affect product release rate, which wereapparatus, rotation speed, volume and pH of the dissolution media. The variables selected were analysed by the full factorial design with the objective to identify the principal factors. The most critical factors were then used to construct the response surface model in order to model all variables and understand its interaction. The objective at this phase of product development was to reach anin vitro dissolution similar to the one in vivo, therefore all the responses were based on the in vivo absorption rate of the reference product obtained from literature. The mean Zolpidem plasma concentration-time profiles was deconvoluted by Wagner Nelson method and the deconvoluted curve was modeled to Logistic model. The parameters of the equation wereused as reference response. The responses monitored were the percentage dissolved in 0.25, 4.0 h, and the α ,β and R2 parameters of logistic equation. The model reliability and significance of the factors studied was evaluated by the analysis of variance (ANOVA). Two methods were used to determine the best dissolution condition, the first one was the Desirability Function and the second was the response surface sobreposition. The dissolution condition of basket with a rotation speed of 50 rpm and dissolution media of HCl 0,01 M (pH 2,0) with a volume of 500 ml was choosen as the condition that satisfied the desirability criterias stablished at the beginning of the experiment. The design of experiment methodology proved to be a more efficient methodology comparade to the traditional one factor at time (OFAT) method, reducing the number of experiments, number of samples and time to method development. The comprehension of the factors that affect release rate of the product and conclusion showed to be significantly superior to the traditional method.

Conflicts over water are inherent in the development of cities and stand out in the setting of environmental and urban crisis scenarios. New models of urban management and planning congruent to the hydrological cycle suggest more harmonious relations between the urbanization process and ecosystem interventions, to efficiently take advantage of the natural characteristics of the environment. Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) has emerged from this premise to meet the demands of the Australian context. Currently the practices that follow this approach have multiplied, forming a set of experiences that can guide the dissemination of WSUD to other realities, such as the Brazilian cities scenario. This research proposed the study of this approach in its origins, as well as the understanding of the water cycle vision adopted in urban planning of the São Carlos city, aiming to demonstrate the potentialities and limitations of WSUD application in the urban stormwater management and planning of this municipality. The research was structured in four phases: exploratory, descriptive, analytical and conclusive. Each of these phases allowed to carry out a theoretical background that bases the discussions of the dissertation, to obtain an approximation of the characteristics of the objects studied and to develop analyses about the used procedures and founded results. It was possible to systematize a framework of the approach from technical manuals, to compile historical and contemporary processes that condition the conflicts between urbanization and the conservation of water ecosystems in the city of São Carlos, and to build a matrix of potentialities and weaknesses about the development of WSUD in this context, intending for the advancement of the issue in prospects of reduced impact and greater environmental and urban health for the municipality. It was verified that the urbanization process of São Carlos had been oriented by the conventional paradigm of stormwater management setting up a scenario of Drained City, but since 2001 institutional and legal transitions allowed the emergence of alternative practices, which established potentialities to foster the Water Sensitive City. Based on the presented results, possible strategies were adopted for the management of rainwater management that allow the implementation of alternative practices.

Let G = (V, E) be a simple and undirected graph. An edge-coloring is an assignment of colors to the edges of the graph such that any two adjacent edges receive different colors. The chromatic index of a graph G is the smallest number of colors such that G has an edge-coloring. Clearly, a lower bound for the chromatic index is the degree of the vertex of higher degree, denoted by ?(G). In 1964, Vizing proved that chromatic index is ?(G) or ?(G) + 1. The Classification Problem is to determine if the chromatic index is ?(G) (Class 1 ) or if it is ?(G) + 1 (Class 2 ). Let n be number of vertices of a graph G and let m be its number of edges. We say G is overfull if m > (n-1) 2 ?(G). Every overfull graph is Class 2. A graph is subgraph-overfull if it has a subgraph with same maximum degree and it is overfull. It is well-known that every overfull and subgraph-overfull graph is Class 2. The Overfull Conjecture asserts that every graph with ?(G) > n 3 is Class 2 if and only if it is subgraph-overfull. In this work we prove the Overfull Conjecture to a particular class of graphs, known as split-comparability graphs. The Overfull Conjecture was open to this class.

The indole acetic acid (IAA) is a phytohormone capable of providing fast responses to plant development such as cell elongation and differentiation and division of cells. It is known that exist in the rhizosphere there are yeasts capable of assisting the plant development by the IAA production. In this study, the objective was isolate yeasts of the rhizosphere and select lineages capable of producing IAA; the selected lineage was evaluated for the influence of temperature, pH, agitation, carbon and nitrogen on the production of IAA. For isolation, corn rhizosphere and sugarcane were sampled from the campus area of UFSCar, Araras/SP. The samples were plated on YEPD medium, Sabouraud and BDA. The lineages were selected using colorimetric methodology, with Salkowsky reagent. The best results were evaluated for the influence of factors in the production of AIA, through experimental planning with multivariate analysis. Six yeast strains were isolated; the strain 6S01, identified as Torulaspora globosa, was selected. The results of the multivariate analysis show that among the studied factors, which significantly affected the production of IAA were pH, agitation and nitrogen. The pH showed the greatest influence on production, because it affected significantly at all times evaluated; the highest recorded production values were obtained in the treatment in which the initial pH of the medium was adjusted to 9,0. The highest yields occurred between 24 and 48 hours of incubation, and the maximum production was 217,73 μg/mL. It was observed that, in the tests in which there was no addition of nitrogen source in the culture medium, the production was higher; probably tryptophan provided as a precursor molecule of AIA synthesis was used by tthe yeast as a nitrogen source and was better absorbed in the absence of other sources of the nutrient. It is concluded that the yeast T. globosa (6S01), isolated from maize rhizosphere presents capacity of high production of IAA, with potential for large scale production; the best conditions for the production are in the absence of nitrogen source and in alkaline medium.

Soil is an environment with great microbial diversity. Filamentous fungi and bacteria have been known for decades for the ability to stimulate plant development. Recently, studies have shown that yeasts are also capable of benefiting plants, for example, through the solubilization of inorganic phosphates. This work aims at a better understanding of the ability of rhizospheric yeasts in the solubilization of tricalcium phosphate. It also aims to study the influence of factors (pH, temperature and agitation) in the process. Initially, isolates of corn and sugarcane rhizosphere yeasts were made. The isolates were evaluated for the ability to solubilize tricalcium phosphate in solid medium BDYA. The isolate with the highest solubilization capacity was identified and evaluated for the solubilization capacity of tricalcium phosphate in NBRIP liquid medium at different temperature levels (20, 25 and 30 ° C), initial pH (3, 5 and 7) and agitation (0, 100, 150 and 200 rpm). Solubilization evaluations were also performed at 24-hour intervals, ranging from 1 to 7 days. Six isolates were obtained. All presented a positive result for solubilization. The yeast 6S01 (Torulaspora globosa) had the highest solubilization capacity. After five days, T. globosa solubilized 26 to 35% of the total phosphorus in the NBRIP culture medium. There was no significant difference for any of the environmental parameters tested. Assays performed in periods of 1 to 7 days showed that the yeast solubilized a maximum amount of phosphorus in 48 hours (42%). This makes it interesting for industrial and agricultural applications, since it has a fast solubilization process and can be used in a wide range of conditions. It was possible to understand that a higher cell growth is not related to the efficiency in the solubilization, and that acidification of the medium may be one of the main mechanisms used by yeast in the in vitro solubilization of tricalcium phosphate.
