listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Emaranhamento intrínseco em sistemas tipo-Dirac(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-03-06) Bittencourt, Victor Augusto Sant Anna Valderramos; Bernardini, Alex Eduardo de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5215976260958847; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2554262645115031Dirac equation is supported by a $SU(2) \otimes SU(2)$ group structure, such that its solutions describe two discrete degrees of freedom, intrinsic parity and spin, which in general are entangled. In this work we will characterize such spin-parity under a general perspective as well as from the point of view of two Dirac-like systems: a four level trapped ion, in the context of the quantum simulation of Dirac equation with external fields, and for the bilayer graphene. We will derive a method for the construction of the eigenstates of the Dirac Hamiltonian including constant external potentials. We will then study the non-local character of mixed bispinor states in connection with CP transformations, verifying that the spin-parity entanglement is invariant under such transformations. Additionally, we will investigate how Lorentz boosts affect the entanglement encoded in two bispinorial particles. In this last case, entanglement is not in general invariant for antisymmetric states, although the entanglement on chiral projections exhibit invariance properties. In the second part of the work, we will describe how the spin-parity entanglement is translated to the Dirac-like systems considered. For the bilayer graphene, for example, the $SU(2)\otimes SU(2)$ structure of Dirac equation is reflected onto entanglement between lattice and layer quantum numbers. We will describe the evolution of arbitrary states of such systems and we will consider the inclusion of global and local noise effects on the Dirac-like dynamics, through Kraus operators, related to random fluctuations of the system parameters. For both systems the noise degraded the entanglement associated with the $SU(2) \otimes SU(2)$ structure. Our results and the formalism here develop are a support for the description of intrinsic correlations in Dirac-like systems, specially for graphene, which can be further develop for implementation of quantum algorithms.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Usabilidade nas soluções de e-mail seguro - o modelo mental de segurança do usuário(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-03-06) Ferreira, Lucas Cesar; Anacleto, Junia Coutinho; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6200743168568684; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2680546196200700The adoption of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in personal, social and corporate environments is increasingly evident. This fact brings complexity, interdisciplinarity, and diversity into the information security field intensified by decentralization and ubiquity of the actual era. As this phenomenon becomes more common, concerns regarding security, secrecy, privacy, and information governance increase. Consequently, tools to improve the safety in systems gain more evidence and new conceptions have emerged. However, studies and recent events have demonstrated how difficult is to use and adopt these safer solutions. Although these solutions improve the information security, there is evidence of the need for more effective security and privacy models on the Web to make these tools widely adopted by users in general. Therefore, the users need be aware of the approaches used by these security and privacy solutions in order to facilitate their adoption, without disregarding the contexts of use. In this context, this study aims at understanding the users' mental models of information security (e.g., secure e-mail solutions) to investigate if the design focused on such models can support the use and adoption of security tools. For that, a review of the main tools found in the literature was performed to identify the main characteristics and design approaches of these tools. Furthermore, to explore if such approaches are in compliance with Usable Safety guidelines and challenges defined in the literature. Then, an empirical evaluation was carried out using the Xmail prototype (developed at the LIA-UFSCar) and the Pwm tool to extract qualitative evidence from the users' perception and validate the proximity of their mental models to the task model proposed by the tools. As a result, this study contributes with a review and an evaluation model of secure tools that can be extended beyond keeping e-mail safe. In addition, from the analysis of the results, it was found that integrating the understanding of the users' mental security model into the process of designing safe and usable e-mail tools can significantly improve the usability of such tools.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo experimental da Lei de Faraday da indução eletromagnética utilizando um smartphone e um computador(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-03-06) Reis, Tiago de Oliveira; Soares, Antonio Augusto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8093480629202515; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0860332394591067The experiment proposal aims to demonstrate Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction using a personal computer, a smartphone and low cost materials. It is expected that students recognize from a quantitative point of view, that varying the magnetic flux through a coil, leads to the generation of an induced electromotive force (emf). The detection of the emf is made using the computer's sound card and the free software Audacity. Concomitantly, measurements of the magnetic field as a function of time is made with the smartphone and the Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite (PTSS) app. The smartphone's data allows to determine the magnetic field flux's time dynamics in the coil. Such variation is associated with the emf obtained with the computer. Using a electronic spreadsheet to analyse the experimental data, students should be able to recognize the linear relationship between these two physical quantities.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Contribuições do DFMEA na integração entre desenvolvimento de produtos e engenharia da qualidade: casos em empresas de grande porte(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-03-06) Bueno, Fernanda Campos; Toledo, José Carlos de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9421627326330417; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1662244184767965This research aims to examine the role of DFMEA in the context of functional integration between Product Development (PD) and Quality Engineering (QE) through case studies in Brazilian industrial companies. Data were collected through interview with professionals in the Product Development and Quality Engineering in two companies, which their main difference is the physical proximity between departments, where one PD and QE departments are co-located and the other departments are located in different cities and states. The results indicate that DFMEA is a QE key tool for PD decision making and plays an important role in integrating PD and QE. It is a group decision tool, which participation in the QE is essential, as well as enabling the team members to work together to achieve goals towards the quality of the product. This was observed in cases when linking the compensation system of employees to the indices of product failures in the market and the costs of non-quality. In one of the cases the integration is also facilitated by PD and QE activities, and the DFMEA reports are reported to the same manager. Some practices of interaction between PD and QE during the execution of a DFMEA also influence the quality of the final product, such as the use of resources such as Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and organizational structures such as co-location. Despite the improvement of ICTs, co-location has indicated that it is a relevant mechanism to improve problem solving due to detailed information and dynamism of meeting failures and solutions. This research is one of the few studies that report and discuss the role of FMEA in the integration between PD and QE in Brazil, however it is limited to the comparative study of two cases. Replication in other units of analysis is required to validate and deepen the findings reported.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo da influência da epibiose do protozoário ciliado Epistylis pygmaeum Ehrenberg, 1838 sobre o zooplâncton(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-03-06) Martins, Luciana Hitomi Hayashi; Seleghim, Mirna Helena Regali; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5998337634888263; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0120277643475516Epibiosis is a type of facultative interaction between two species. The epibiont is the organism that colonizes a living substrate during the sessile stage of their life cycle, and the basibiont is the organism that serves as the basis for colonization. In the plankton of aquatic systems numerous epibiont ciliate species are often found colonizing various organisms, however the relationship between them and the ecological roles of epibiosis are poorly understood. The present study aimed to evaluate the epibiotic relationship in the zooplankton community, especially between cladocerans and the ciliate protozoan Epistylis pygmaeum Ehrenberg, 1838, in a shallow eutrophic environment, in Monjolinho reservoir, in the city of São Carlos-SP, Brasil. The presence of epibionts in the reservoir was monitored from november 2015 to november 2017. During the study, the occurrence and dominance of a species of epibiont (E. pygmaeum) was observed only in two periods: between july / august 2016 and august / september / october 2017. The samples were collected in horizontal trawls in the water column, using a mesh plankton net and brought to the laboratory where the populations were identified. After identification, basibiont survival experiments, epibiont localization site, host selectivity, rate of detachment and colonization and bacterivory were performed. E. pygmaeum showed preference for cladocerans, especially the genus Daphnia, and copepod ovine sac. It also showed preference for certain sites of colonization, the dorsal region being preferred to the other regions of the cladocerans' body. The protozoan was able to detach itself quickly from its host and transform from the sessile form to the free natant form (telotroquia) in an average time of 30 minutes. In relation to the influence of epibiosis on host survival we found that it affects adversely and significantly the survival of the host. In relation to the bacterivorous potential, in the three basibionte species tested Bosminopsis deitersi Richard, 1895, Daphnia ambigua Scourfield, 1947 and Moina micrura Kurz, 1874 we noticed a decrease in the consumption of bacteria by cladocerans carrying epibibionts when compared to the consumption of bacteria performed by cladocerans without the presence of epibiont in their carapaces. For the protozoan, the relation seems to be advantageous because its bacterial consumption was greater in its epibionte form when compared to its free natante form. Epibiosis, for the protozoan, although involving energy expenditure and supposed susceptibility to predation, confers benefits. For the host, a relationship is unfavorable and it ends up being impaired, both with respect to food and swimming, and may also affect its survival, especially in the presence of predators or in the occurrence of competitionlistelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Proposta de trabalho didático sobre o conteúdo enunciação reportada sob uma abordagem enunciativa(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-03-06) Valentim, Duane; Valentim, Helena Topa; Onofre, Marilia Blundi; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4908382415301882; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9857164065744798In this research we aim to present a didactic exercise that explores the different kinds of reported enunciation considering the operation of epilinguistic activity during the process of teaching and learning, contributing to the linguistic development of the students when working with the possibilities of operating with the language. The didactic exercise considers the knowledge of the students about their own language by observing, redesigning and comparing the statements, we believe we can contribute to the linguistic and cognitive development of students, leading them to enrich the discursive relations in their texts. The proposed herein objectives have as theoretical framework the Theory of Predicative and Enunciative Operations (TOPE), initiated by Culioli. Such theoretical assumptions can contribute to the configuration of a productive approach during the process of teaching and learning because of its operative model of linguistic and non- classificatory analysis. Regarding the methodological concern for the development of this work, we set our guide based on a theory of linguistic observable, performed by an analytical framework composed of primitive, predicative and enunciative relations, in which are installed, respectively, notions of semantic, syntactical and enunciation. With regard to the analysis of our corpus, we were able to identify that, although there is no explanation through metalanguage, students use different justifications regarding to the use of reported speech and reveal to understand what is involved in the linguistic exercise. Therefore, we infer that although language activity supposes a constant epilinguistic work, certain didactic exercises emerge the epilinguistic activity of the individual that when observed at the linguistic level by the students and by the teacher, it is possible to allow the students to rationalize their way of thinking and also helps the teacher leading the students to operate on their own representations.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo químico do fungo endofítico isolado de Hortia superba (Rutaceae) na produção de compostos secundários(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-03-06) Formoso, Dianne Dominguez; Silva, Maria Fátima das Graças Fernandes da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0457632122660653; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4482260069724820The order Sapindales, compost for the families Rutaceae, Meliaceae, Burseraceae, Simaroubaceae, Bierbersteiniaceae, Kirkiaceae, Anacardiaceae, Sapindaceae and Nitrariaceae, is rich in various classes of speciais metabolites, being the most frequents: coumarins, alkaloids, flavonoids, quassinoides and limonoides. The family Rutaceae is characterized by a great diversity of those metabolites not common in other families the order (Silva et al., 1988) and is constituted by different genera, of which stands out Hortia, compost for five species distributed from Panama to the state of São Paulo, and some of the area Amazônica (Groppo and Pirani 2012), besides of to be endemic in the area of Minas Gerais, where take the plant as a sample. In this work the endophytic fungus belonging to the family Xylaria, was isolated .This fungus was inoculated in the malt extract agar culture medium, where was produced several secondary metabolites, and between they were separated and identified three compounds: Declorogriseofulvin, Griseofulvina, 3,4-Dihydro-8- hydroxy-3- methylisocouarin-5-carboxylic acid, Spiro[benzofuran-2(3H),1'-[2] cyclohexene]-3,4'- dione, 5-cloro-7-declorogriseofulvina, a compound that is still unpublished and 5- clorogriseofulvin. The second compound is isomer of this last substance and was identified by the NMR and Massa Spectrometry techniques. The hemolytic activity in blood was measured for the substances, resulting the griseofulvin being less toxic in blood than your analogue, as declorogriseofulvin. In addition, the biological activity of the compounds was analyzed against to the strain Staphylococcus aureus, by the Inhibitory Concentration Method for bacteria (MICs) (Barbosa. S et al, 2016), concluding as result that the substances do not have antimicrobial activity against the Gram- positive bacteria.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Uma arquitetura para planejamento e acompanhamento de voo de VANTs em ambientes de multiprojeção(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-03-06) Paiva, Glesio Garcia de; Trevelin, Luis Carlos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5082419783043736; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0557377545925895Nowadays, the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), also known as Drones, has grown in several areas, such as military, civilian and entertainment. These vehicles can capture large volumes of data, such as images and telemetry data. One challenge is to address these data and make flight control decisions based on them. Virtual Reality provides the ability to the users to immerse and interact in simulated environments. In this way, enriching the UAVs' user experience with Virtual Reality is a promising possibility for providing an environment that exploits the presentation of a lot of information in a single, immersive and online environment. This work presents how the resources provided by the Virtual Reality can be used in the planning and flight monitoring of UAVs. An architecture for an immersive control station that uses a multiprojection system, called miniCAVE, was proposed to display the video and other information captured by the UAV and transmitted over a 4G network. The proposed architecture enables the flight plan creation containing several waypoints (georeferenced points) as well as tracking the entire route and data of a mission online. Experimental results were obtained to evaluate the video resolution and the telemetry data sent to miniCAVE. These results showed that it is possible to have video resolution that enables a good user experience with bandwidth consumption within the limits found in 4G networks.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Teoria dos Grafos no ensino médio: aplicações em problemas de trânsito(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-03-06) Torre, João Paulo Gonçalves Della; Salvador, José Antonio; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2487171069472158; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8764949891420016This work, explores through the methodologies: Problem Solving and Mathematical Modeling, concepts of Graph theory in the second year of the High School of a State School. The concepts developed here in a contextualized way, aim to lead the students to experience con- tent not present in the curriculum, but that can be used to explain and solve everyday problems.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Aplicação do método de apoio multicritério à decisão na escolha de pavimentos urbanos: estudo de caso em São Carlos/SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-03-06) Loss, Camila Fávero; Ferreira, Marcos Antonio Garcia; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2643134259454260; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5921485571464502As a result of the expansion of cities, the need for urban pavement in Brazil is very significant. Urban pavement benefits all citizens by providing safe and accessible circulation in the urban space. However, pavement associated with urbanization may generate significant changes in the environment, with long-term consequences. During the designing of projects of this kind, one must consider that many factors are involved, such as: financial aspects, environmental concerns, and concerns that the project meets relevant technical requirements (durability, comfort, safety, among others). Therefore, choosing a pavement that satisfies all of these goals can become somewhat complex. When researching the literature on studies related to urban pavement, a common research problem was the lack of studies concerning the choice of pavement types. In this context, it was considered that an adequate approach to this issue would be to apply the Multicriteria Decision Analysis Approach (MCDA), which has been widely used in the transport field. Accordingly, this research proposed the creation of a model that can support the decision-making during the choice of urban pavements. The model was created by means of a case study in the city of São Carlos, Brazil, which was developed in three main stages: structuration of the problem, evaluation of different alternatives of urban pavement types, and the recommendations on the most appropriate type of pavement. In the first stage, the context of the decision and the actors involved were defined. Afterwards, interviews were made to establish the structure related to decision-making problem. The evaluation phase of the pavement choices was performed by analyzing their attributes, which were elaborated at various levels of specificity. These attributes were given values that represented the subjectivity of the decision makers. With this data, a numerical value was calculated for each type of pavement using a function where the one with the highest result was the one recommended. Three types of pavements were evaluated: Warm Mixed Asphalt (WMA), Precast Concrete Blocks for Paving (PCBP), and a PCBP type equipped with a structure that allows infiltration and storage of rainwater (permeable PCBP). A sensitivity analysis was performed to validate the results obtained and to support the recommendations. The application of MCDA in this research has provided an in-depth view about the choices of urban pavements, including several attributes, which also expressed the objectives of the actors consulted. During the process of defining the attributes, it was possible to obtain a better understanding of the difficulties in evaluating these objectives, and of the strengths and limitations of each pavement choice. When consulting the decision makers to evaluate each attribute, it was possible to understand which attributes were most relevant for the city managers. As a result of the case study, the WMA pavement was recommended. The model used for this study may be replicated in other realities, and in future transport and planning projects.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo experimental dos mecanismos resistentes de juntas com chave de cisalhamento em ligações pilar-viga(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-03-06) Faleiros Junior, José Herbet; Carvalho, Roberto Chust; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3633394168236221; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3924424490679157In this dissetation exploratory models are used to examine the behavior of semi - rigid pillar - beam connections with shear key. This type of connection is ordinary in Brazil prefabricated concrete structures. Thus, the use of a solenoid, shear key between the pillar - beam face and the addition of negative reinforcement on the cap rod, being this at the top of the beam, gives the connection a semi - rigid behavior and the possibility of transferring vertical actions relieving the amount of effort in the console. The work contributes to verify the structural situation and the representativeness of the connections already performed in Brazil, since there are no studies or tests carried out to verify the real influence of impact of the shear key assists in the composition of the bond. The study consisted in the creation of a simple model, based on long-term experiments in Brazil for semi-rigid connections. Through the tests, it was verified the efficiency of the participation of the shear key, where they were considered models of real magnitude. This study will serve as a basis for the later realization of joint geometry variation, as well as the real problem in beams with large deformations. The study is finished by isolating the total portion resisted by the semi-rigid connection by discounting the value resisted by the pin effect of the negative rod and the portion of stresses resisted by the console, in this way it was determined that the shear key actually had a relief effect of 40,88% of the total amount of efforts.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Gestão estratégica de tecnologia da informação com uso de BSC: uma pesquisa-ação em uma instituição pública federal brasileira(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-03-06) Knoll, Anne Camila; Ferraz, Maria Cristina Comunian; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2893153253924855; Alves Filho, Alceu Gomes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7885557554922569; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5628103268003839This dissertation carries out the Strategic Reference Review of the Information Technology Master Plan of a federal public institution of basic and technological education, aiming to provide an improvement in the elaboration in the Information Technology Master Plan of the institution and to contribute with the implementation of strategic management based in Balanced Scorecard in the area of Information Technology of the organ. It also focused on the ways these processes are related to issues such as ethnicities, ethnic identities, race, phenotype, stereotypes, in relation to their images as Japanese descendants. I realized that these theoretical models were not sufficient to deal with people’s experiences. Therefore, a more fluid and at the same time more specific approach was necessary. So, from a discussion about composite person and “japonesidades”, I tried to show how these tattooers’ experiences were constituted by relations which cannot be thought separately, once they are very rich, complex processes of differences production. These interwoven relations become visible through tattoos too, either through the ones tattooers make in their own bodies or in someone else’s bodies, making possible to see the triangulation of tattoo, japonesidade and body.
