(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-04-25) Barreto, Bruno da Silva; Sagawa, Juliana Keiko; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6549481623896786; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9498781724789566
The aim of this study is to make a framework of a Workload Control (WLC) approach in commercial software for discrete event simulation. This study is justified because although have a lot of researches on this approach, there are no studies or tutorials that demonstrate how to model and simulate which types of commercial’s software. This study uses the modeling and simulation method. The main result is a description of the construction of the framework showing in detail how to simulate the WLC approach in a commercial software for discrete event simulation, in which a first moment of the logic of the problem is developed in MATLAB’s system, where it is based on a shop floor model researching of Land (2006), the conceptual algorithm of the WLC is developed to verify the consistency of the invented part before making a conversion to the simulation software. Finally, the WLC logic is developed and are constructed and simulated on a simulation scenarios from of literature. It is also possible to build different scenarios that operate based on WLC policies in search of leaner outcomes such as the needs of the modeled factory floor, contributing to a real situation. This work in the business and academic environment, which facilitates the replication and application of framework in other environments, facilitating the progress of the project, evaluation for the assembly of the base model, allowing the direct focus on the comparisons and adaptations of the environment of managers and / or researchers.

In this thesis we studied the transmission of entangled states in unmodulated spin chains using a slight modification in the XY isotropic model (XX model) that describes a one-dimensional spin-1/2 chain. We have shown that it is possible to transmit bipartite entangled states from a sender to a receiver with high fidelity from one end of the chain to the other. This transmission occurs without the need for external fields or modulation of the coupling constants between the qubits, which simplifies its pratical implementation. We verified, through numerical analysis, that the modification in the one-dimensional model works for any size of the chain. We also verified that the proposed model is robust for small imperfections in the coupling constants, low magnetic field noise and residual interection between spins in the z direction. At last, we analyzed whether the proposed model can also be used as a transmitter of single qubit states and we discussed these results within the context of the quantum information theory.

In Brazil, the urbanistic instrument Urban Partnership Operation was regulated by the City Statute in 2001. With public and private capital, this instrument seeks implement a series of urban interventions in specific area of the city, aiming structural urban transformations, social improvements and ambiental valuation of this region. The city of São Paulo was pioneer in use of this instrument, it was included in Master Plans since 1985, with a series of adaptations from its beginning to the present day. The objective of this dissertation is analyze the housing issue involved in the application of this instrument, specifically in Água Espraiada, implemented in 2001 in São Paulo, focusing on the production of social housing and social and economical care to the population directly affected by the operation. Through a careful analysis of documents, data and informations provided by the city of São Paulo, as well as bibliographical and documentary research, was possible to observe contradictions in the application of the instrument in the case studied. Despite the social appeal contained in the discourse of Urban Partnership Operation, the economic purpose of its application was evident, once priority was given to real estate capital, to detriment of a more inclusive urban policy. In conclusion, even with the implementation of the new Strategic Master Plan of 2014, tha contradictions of capitalist urbanization are present in the county, evidencing the power of private capital in the conduct of urban development of the city. It is also pointed limits in the application of the operations, so that they are implanted through different dynamics from those initially prevalent and move away from the exclusionary and concentrative nature that has chacacterized it.

This dissertation from a research conducted at a Women's' Police station of a city inside the state of São Paulo, where it was looked for to understand the police attendance and the agents' procedure in the police inquiry for when the target of the violence is an adult woman and for when he/she is a child or adolescent, starting from the daily policeman's observation, of interviews with agents and of the analysis of inquiries on sexual violence. During the field work it was observed that the women's great majority assisted at the police station manifested, after the police report, the will of not continuing with the case, same and, above all, in bodily harm occurrences – crime that doesn't depend on the criminal representation to establish the inquiry. In lathe of that fact and, along the observations, it was noticed that a lot of women that manifested a juridical and personal choice different from the one that the police station is capable to offer, they were disqualified of "victim's" category by the agents. It was inferred that the logic of the penal protection backed by the Maria da Penha Law guides the police conduct addressed the assisted people, be adult women or children and adolescents, minimizing the orientation on police procedure and constitutional rights to the adult clientele. Still in field work it was observed that most of the police report and inquiries on crimes against the sexual dignity targeted the violence against children and adolescents. It was also observed a lack of adaptation and preparation in the police procedure for the treatment of sexual crimes against children and adolescents.

In recent years, we have witnessed the advent of computational systems capable of generating an immense amount of data in a short time period. These applications can be found in areas such as sensor networks, financial markets and computer networks. Systems that produce data incessantly, creating a continuous Data Stream (DS), can be infinite in size and can mutate in its statistical distribution over time. These DS can be used as sources for the automatic acquisition of useful knowledge by machine learning methods. However, the infinite and mutable nature of these data sets can essentially cause new concepts to emerge, which are examples that differ significantly from the examples learned by the model. Occurrences of this behavior in real-world applications may be credit card fraud or computer network intrusions. In this way, the task of detecting these examples, known as novelty detection, stands out as an important research topic. In general, classical methods for detecting novelty are not able to deal with the particularities of DS. Thus, different approaches have been proposed in order to create adaptable models that can accomplish this task. However, the unpredictable characteristics of DS's create difficulties in the learning process, encouraging the search for a more flexible learning. The integration of fuzzy set theory concepts is a timely way of making DS learning more adaptable to imprecisions. Recently, there have been proposals for machine learning models in DS based on fuzzy sets theory with the objective of collaborating for the flexibility and adaptability of the knowledge learned in DS's. Nonetheless, in the context of novelty detection the proposed approaches are few and limited to the domains of study. This paper presents a proposal for a fuzzy approach to detecting novelty in DS investigating techniques for detection of novelty in DS and machine learning models in DS based on fuzzy set theory. The analysis of the results, showed that the proposals favor the novelty detection task, facilitating the identification of discrepant data through the representation and treatment of imprecise data.
