As transformações do modelo de desenvolvimento e a internacionalização do capital produtivo chinês
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-06-08) Mescollotto, Karina; Mascarini, Suelene; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8715035091851102; Roselino Jr., José Eduardo de Salles; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7410971805108456; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7687441138010585
This dissertation brings a study about the determinants of the chinese productive capital internationalization, on the period of 2006 to 2015, and the importance of the State and its industrial policy in this process. China has been adopting a differentiated industrial policy in comparison to the developed countries. This policy is bringing positive output into the economic and structural sphere of the country, influencing China‘s enterprises internationalization too. Furthermore, China has stood out because of the non-traditional approach it has used to internationalize its enterprises, the system of comparative disadvantages, which has brought positive returns to the economy and development of the country. Hereby, this dissertation shows the fundamental role of the State in the economic development of China. Finally, there is the intention to analyze, through an empirical approach, to which countries the chinese investment is directed, to which kind of sectors and for what purpose. This will be based on Dunning‘s eclectic paradigm. The results were like expected. There‘s more chance of China investing in countries with higher GDPs and strategic assets indicators, like United Stated, Japan and Germany, and natural resource indicators, like United States, Brazil and Australia, with the purposes of market-seeking, strategic asset-seeking and resource-seeking, respectively.

It has been increasingly constant and mediatic the mortality of bees with regard to beekeeping activity and the environmental benefits for the ecosystem balance. Several factors under the responsibility of human action are pointed out as potential precursors of mortality or weakening of colonies. Environmental contamination by the use of agrochemicals and other chemical products and the current agricultural model based on extensive monoculture areas can be mentioned as examples. From the perspective of apicultural production, the social, economic and environmental spheres are included. For the discussion of the challenges that beekeepers are currently facing in the activity, interviews were conducted with 26 beekeepers from the Araraquara microregion, in the state of São Paulo. The pesticides are considered as potentially toxic to pollinators and the orange monocultures of the region are of beekeeping interest. Thus, we sought to investigate, by field survey, the main active principles used by the citrus agro-industries of the study region. The contact was made by phone call and formalized by a Term of Responsibility. The objective was to describe the sublethal effects that these products are capable of causing Apis mellifera bees. The orange honey produced in the region was used as a matrix for laboratory analysis of residues of the active ingredients obtained by liquid and gas chromatography. It was verified that most of the pesticides under discussion belong to the chemical group of neonicotinoids and organophosphates, which are capable of causing a series of damages to the individuals and integrity of the colony. No residues of the agrochemicals obtained in the samples of orange honeys of the region were detected, but the mortality of bees in apiaries remains a frequent problem according to beekeepers interviewed.

This thesis aims to study the disputes and hierarchies regarding the access to water in two Agrovilas, Campinas and Birigui, of Reunidas Agrarian Reform Rural Settlement, located in the municipality of Promissão, in the state of São Paulo. The choice to develop a case study in these two Agrovilas is based on the fact that they present differences in their land structures regarding the access to water. Water considered as a key element to treat in a broad way the environmental issue in that territory. The methodology adopted to research the two Agrovilas was the testimony collection within the oral history perspective. However, as one of the determining elements of these disputes and hierarchies are linked to the management of water resources, which is carried out by the Lower Tietê River Basin Committee, a semi-structured interview was also conducted with the vice-president of the Committee and the documents produced on management and water collection were analyzed. The main results of the research show that due to changes in rainfall regimes with greater periods of drought in the Settlement region, the settlers who have more access to water are in a privileged position as regards the possibility of tracing production strategies. The disputes and hierarchies resulting from this land arrangement eventually were translated into discursive conflicts within the Settlement between those who have and those who do not have access to water. This water shortage increased in the years of 2013/2014, due to a great drought period in the state of São Paulo. This fact raised a rumor about the possibility of charging for the use of water. However, the settlers did not have enough information about how and which institution would perform this collection. Thus, it can be noticed that the Committee is an institution not known by the settlers. Despite they don't know the Committee the settlers are against the model of regulation of water resources which is based on technics and money. Thereby, it is possible to realize the conflict between two territorialities, that of the Committee, with a technical and monetary vision, and that of the settlers, with a view contrary to monetarization and the external regulation of a good that the settlers deem free to be accessed. From these disputes and hierarchies between the settlers themselves and between the settlers and the Basin Committee it is possible to visualize the necessity to think of a management model that is more open to receive the demands and to recognize the knowledges from distinct social groups that historically deal with the water.

Representação multimodal para classificação de informação
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-06-08) Ito, Fernando Tadao; Moreira, Jander; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7638816418156415; Caseli, Helena de Medeiros; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6608582057810385; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1816202262868538
The most basic meaning of "multimodality" is the use of multiple means of information to compose an "artifact", a man-made object that expresses a concept. In our day-to-day life, most media outlets use multimedia to express information: news are composed of videos, narrations and ancillary texts; theater plays tell a story from actors, gestures and songs; electronic games use the player's physical gestures as actions, and respond with visual or musical cues. To interpret such "artifacts," we have to extract information from multiple media and combine them mathematically. The extraction of characteristics is done from mathematical models that receive raw data (texts, images, audio signals) and turns it into a numerical vector, where the distance between instances denotes its relation, where close data encode similar meanings. To create a multimodal semantic space, we use models that `` fuse '' information from multiple data types. In this work, we investigate the interaction between different modes of information representation in the formation of multimodal representations, presenting some of the most used algorithms for vector representation of texts and images and how to merge them. To measure the relative performance of each combination of methods, we use classification and similarity tasks in databases with images and paired texts. We found that in our data sets different methods of unimodal representation can lead to vastly different results. We also note that the performance of a representation in the data classification task does not mean that such representation does not encode the concept of an object, having different results in similarity tasks.

O uso de jogos e material concreto no ensino de geometria espacial
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-06-08) Fizzon, Luciano Mateus; Moura, Renato José de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5227908949297904; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5595881224681163
The work developed with the use of playful materials plays a fundamental role in the teaching and learning of Mathematics, especially in the field of Spatial Geometry, carried out with high school classes. The didactic sequence based on Didactic Engineering, was used as a form of investigation, and a posteriori analysis was carried out, which shows that learning from the use of concrete materials gives students a greater assimilation of mathematical content. The activities carried out in this work are also intended to improve teacher practice, being an important tool in the construction of meaningful learning, to be used in other moments in the classroom.

The National Policy of Solid Waste (NPSW), established by Law nº 12,305 of 2010, is the principal policy on solid waste management in the country. The intention of this dissertation is to evaluate the NPSW as a regulatory mark that provides changes in the legislations of the three levels of government, national, state and municipal, until the year 2017. The methodological aspects included documentary analyzes of the national normative and legal framework for solid waste management and before the validation the expert panel method; analyzes of the state solid waste policies published; and a case study in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro referring to municipal legislation. The selection of the municipality was due to the easiness of access and availability to its legal framework and the national importance that the municipality represents. These analyzes are based on transformations of these frameworks, national and municipal, and the state policies against the NPSW’s publication. The results showed that NPSW is a mark for solid waste management and that it was, in part, a provider of changes in the legal framework of the federated entities, because the current national framework is consisted by 77% of legal parts published until 2009, and 23% after this year which have influenced the content established by the NPSW. Despite the changes resulting from the NPSW, some institutions provided by law do not correspond to norms and regulations, impacting on their effectiveness. About the state policies, 30% were published after 2010, or underwent updates to suit national policy, but 26% of states do not yet have their own policies. In the city of Rio de Janeiro, the PMGIRS was published after the promotion of the NPSW, although it presented laws and decrees that encouraged the creation of a plan in pre-2010 years. Thus, the NPSW as a normative and regulatory framework was responsible for providing some changes in the national, state and municipal legal frameworks, but still presenting weaknesses in its execution.
