listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Segurança do paciente e detecção precoce de Sepse: WebQuest para Enfermeiros(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-06-28) Laurenti, Thaís Cristina; Zem-Mascarenhas, Silvia Helena; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0185144417072417; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9862214160954461Sepsis is a subject of significant relevance due to the constant increase in its incidence. It is estimated that around 600,000 new cases occur annually in Brazil and 17 million worldwide. Therefore, it is considered a challenge for public health. To perform the early detection of sepsis, it is essential that the nursing team has knowledge about the content and is competent to identify the clinical manifestations and, consequently, to execute the pertinent interventions. The aim of the research was to develop a digital learning environment using the WebQuest methodology on sepsis and to perform the evaluation of appearance and content with specialist nurses in the area. It is an applied research of technological development with quantitative approach. For the development of WebQuest the following steps were covered: Conception and Planning; Development; Implementation and Evaluation of the WebQuest by the specialist nurses and the Health Surveillance Sector. A total of ten nurses took part in the research, of which eight specialists were distributed in the areas of Sepsis, Patient Safety and Nursing Informatics. And the other two nurses worked in the Health Surveillance Sector of a university hospital located in the interior of the state of São Paulo. WebQuest was evaluated positively in relation to its objectives, content, structure and presentation, activities and relevance, standing out as an effective strategy for the professional qualification in the nursing area. The results obtained from the evaluations of specialists and nurses of the Health Surveillance Sector contributed to assist in the adequacy of WebQuest in order to make it available to the target audience in the future. It is hoped that this material contributes to the development of innovative educational strategies through the use of active methodologies, aiming to provide quality and safety in health care, especially with regard to the topic of sepsis.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Percepções de agricultores familiares e técnicos sobre mercado institucional no desenvolvimento da agricultura familiar no Vale do Ribeira(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-06-28) Gomes, Tiago Tomaz; Abreu, Lucimar Santiago de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7025928931374268; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5408088325686270Family farming is a social and economic segment of strategic importance for the country, since it ensures an essential part of the Brazilian society's food supply. Recently a set of policies directed to the Brazilian family agriculture was constructed. Among these policies is the so-called institutional food market of family agriculture (PAA and PNAE) also applied to the Ribeira Valley region. In this context, the objective of the research is to analyze the perceptions of key actors regarding these two public policy programs, their relations with ATER and also with their social organizations. It was sought to identify, characterize and describe the main impacts resulting from access to PAA and PNAE. We adopted the qualitative approach from the comprehensive sociology, which guided the construction of the semi-structured interviews and the analysis of the material. The results show that the public policies studied have the potential to positively impact the reality of these farmers, but they present limitations on the reach of the target population (family farmers in the region of the study area), especially due to the lack of information and understanding of the operational the need for qualified technical assistance and improvement in associative and cooperative practices to obtain better results.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Avaliação da multifuncionalidade e de custos de técnicas compensatórias de drenagem na revitalização de áreas urbanas em Guarulhos, SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-06-28) Oliveira, Alinne Prado de; Gonçalves, Luciana Márcia; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9491069760631962; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0862930868222363Best management practices consist of technologies of low constructive complexity and low environmental impact, which aim to optimize the infiltration, detention and retention of rainwater, reducing runoff and high investments in hydraulic devices of traditional drainage. For these characteristics, they were used in landscape projects carried out in recent years in green areas in the city of Guarulhos - SP, with the purpose of solving the microdrainage of the projects, of valorizing the utilization of rainwater in the urban environment, as well as bringing improvements in the conditions environmental (soil, microclimate, greater diversity of flora and fauna species) of such areas. The objective of this work is to analyze the implementation of best management practices (BMPs) in 3 (three) projects of green areas of the municipality, from the point of view of hydrological functionality, urban insertion, implementation and maintenance costs, and user appropriation. Based on the PULS method - hydrological model of simulation - urban data collection of the surroundings, visits, photographic records of the place, elaboration of cost sheets and comparison with preexisting data, and interviews to the users of the places of study, results were obtained that demonstrated the potentialities and weaknesses of each BMP project implemented in public areas. In general, the evaluation showed that the BMPs have good acceptance by the user, mainly due to the urban insertion capacity of the projects carried out by the City Hall; that the implantation and maintenance costs of implanted BMPs were, on average, 16.25% lower than those of a possible conventional drainage implantation; and that the proper hydrological functioning of the structures has proved to be fundamental to the appropriation by the user. The work contributes, therefore, to the presentation of relevant aspects of the project of implantation of best management practices in public green areas of the cities, even in areas already consolidated, capable of promoting urban, environmental and, mainly, drainage improvements.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Modelos não lineares mistos em estudos de crescimento de frango de corte(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-06-28) Yamanaka, Sandra Emiko; Venezuela, Antonio Luís; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8722224671269332; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7574926806305288Premix is the main source of micronutrients such as vitamins, probiotics, prebiotics, enzymes, and macro and microminerals in poultry feed, that are included in the ration to improv the digestion of food and the performance of the selected lineage. Therefore, the knowledge of these compounds has great importance in studies on the growth of broilers. Nonlinear models are widely used in these studies, seeking to estimate parameters related to adult weight and growth rate through of methods that consider correlation between the repeated measures in the same chicken and the heterogeneity of the variances of the responses. As individual differences can occur for the weight response of birds, the use of mixed nonlinear models is proposed, allowing the nonlinear function on fixed and random effects, which may solve the problem of explaining variation among these kind of birds. In this work two common alternatives of growth data analysis were used and their results were compared with the approach using the mixed nonlinear model. The non-linear Gompertz model was used to explain the relationship between body weight and age, in broilers fed with feed supplemented with three different brands of premixes available in the market. The measurements of the weighings were collected in seven rounds at baseline and at 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th weeks. There data were obtained from a completely randomized design experiment with three hundred and seventy chickens from the Cobb line, three treatments and seven replicates.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeito da fotobiomodulação na pressão arterial de ratos hipertensos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-06-28) Moraes, Thiago Francisco de; Rodrigues, Gerson Jhonatan; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6725550216586910; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4956085802923540Introduction: Hypertension affects a quarter of the Brazilian adult population and is the main risk factor for myocardial infarction, stroke and chronic kidney disease, and has been considered a global health problem. Prospective studies have reported that lowering blood pressure may substantially decrease cardiovascular risks. Although advances in understanding the pathophysiology of hypertension and implementing effective prevention and treatment strategies, hypertension remains one of the major public health problems in the world. It is known that in the blood vessels, light (or photobiomodulation) induces NO release leading to vasodilation. Aims: In renal hypertensive rats (2K-1C), to evaluate the effect of Photobiomodulation (FBM) on blood pressure. Methods: Wistar rats of the Rattus norvegicus, specie were used. In agreed animals, systolic blood pressure (SBP) was determined by the technique of tail plethysmography (NIBP System-ADinstruments) before the surgical procedure and six weeks after this procedure. Hypertensive animals (2K-1C) with SBP greater than or equal to 160 mmHg were used. Subsequently, the hypertensive animals were anesthetized to implant the cannula in the femoral artery in order to evaluate the arterial pressure after acute photobiomodulation in different energies 0.6; 1.8; 3.6; 7.2; 13.8; 28.2; 55.8 and 111.6 Joule. In addition, it was performed vascular reactivity studies and the nitric oxide was quantified. Results: Our results indicate that the acute abdominal application of FBM at 660 nm induced a long-lasting hypotensive effect in hypertensive rats, being this energy effect dependent. The application of FBM in isolated aortic rings induced vasodilation by NO-dependent mechanism. Conclusion: We conclude that photobiomodulation with the red laser (660 nm) at an irradiation in the energy range of 7.2 to 55.8 J presents an effective therapeutic window to reduce SBP, PAD, MAP, HR and induces a hypotensive effect lasting, with loss of effect in higher energy irradiation (111.6 J).
