listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Redes neurais recorrentes e XGBoost aplicados à previsão de radiação solar no horizonte de curto prazo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-08-28) Heinen, Eduarth Dapper; Fernandes, Ricardo Augusto Souza; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0880243208789454; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5953068336220606Precise estimates of energy production and consumption are essential to promote the integration of renewable energy sources to the electrical grid, guiding power supply balance through cycles and fluctuations inherent to these resources. In this scenario, many experiments have developed solar radiation forecasting methods, but not so many of those apply Recurrent Neural Networks and their potential of modeling time series. This dissertation reviews some of the studies and outlines an experiment comparing Recurrent Neural Networks, XGBoost and persistence of Clear Sky and Clearness indexes in solar irradiance forecasts. Model precision is verified in minute observations from Denver and Las Vegas, re-sampled in resolutions of 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour and daily mean. XGBoost gives the best results in all forecast horizons, with nRMSE between 12.9% at 5 minute resolutions, and 21.2% at daily mean. Persistence models for Clear Sky and Clearness indexes show comparable precision, with nRMSE from 14.2% to 22.5% in forecasts up to 1 hour ahead. RNNs outperform persistence in forecasts of daily mean irradiance, reaching nRMSE 21.3%.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A invenção das subjetividades nos mercados da pacificação: um estudo sobre os empreendedores da Favela Turística/RJ(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-08-28) Damas, Helton Luiz Gonçalves; Sinhoretto, Jacqueline; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7743699562476490; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2448723570436658The main objective of this study was to understand the contemporary regime of subjectivity in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, based on the analysis of the processes that involve the pacification of these territories and the emergence of new forms of the market, having as empirical cut, the "tourist favela" and the "Self-management". The pacification project represented a possibility of political and economic management of certain territories chosen according to the strategic objectives defined by the power apparatus. Control, militarized surveillance and the consequent domestication of bodies can not be considered the only forms by which power invested, since pacification also sought to structure a field of action in which the favelado itself was an active subject of its own transformation by the way of entrepreneurship. In this sense, the study sought to understand the process of subjectivation of slum dwellers as something situated in the midst of a complex of apparatuses, practices, machinations and compositions within which they were constituted and which presupposes the implication of particular relations with themselves, the research analyzed how the intersections between a set of devices that propitiated a strategic articulation of the ways of conduct of others with the forms of self-government. In order to elaborate the study, the following areas of UPP were taken as object of analysis: Favela Santa Marta, Favela Pavão-Pavãozinho, Ladeira dos Tabajaras / Morro dos Cabritos and Complexo do Alemão. The methodology used for the purposes of the thesis could be fulfilled consisted in the elaboration of a study based on the qualitative analysis, obtaining data through direct observations and semi-structured interviews. As a result, it was possible to observe that the expansion of neoliberal logic in the pacified favelas, on the one hand, configured entrepreneurship as a possibility for the favelados to find their "place in the sun" and on the other intensified processes related to the individualization of destiny and poor subject, as well as the emptying of the public sphere and collective projects.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Mecanismo de preservação de privacidade do usuário em ambientes IoT(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-08-28) Couto, Fagner Roger Pereira; Zorzo, Sérgio Donizetti; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2523715806470871; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0520376030681830The Internet of Things (IoT) is considered one of the emerging technologies in the area of information technology. The use of this technology provides an improvement to the population by providing better transportation systems, health and electrical infrastructure, among others. However, collecting information in these spaces can cause serious damage to the user’s privacy, which is one of the challenges to be overcome by IoT. In some scenarios, the user may provide personal information without being aware of the risks to their privacy. Cryptographic primitives with a high computational cost are used to maintain the privacy of users in IoT environments, but they are not applicable to all devices due to their heterogeneity. In this context, this work proposes a mechanism of preservation of privacy that aims to mediate the information exchanges that occur in IoT environments. This proposal was based on a research done with users that aimed to validate the characteristics and functionalities of a mechanism with these objectives. The privacy preservation mechanism was developed as an application to provide ease in user interaction with IoT environments. The validation of the application was performed by an experiment with the users, where they were submitted to several IoT scenarios. The results show that, with the use of the mechanism, users feel more comfortable with the availability of their data in these environments. The learning process of application privacy preferences obtained a success rate of 88.62% in the predicted scenarios and is considered satisfactory for decision making procedures for the provision of personal information.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, DNA Barconding do gênero Schizodon (Characiformes, Anostomidae)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-08-28) Santos, Cesar Augusto dos; Ramirez, Jorge Luis; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3073682959497475; Galetti Júnior, Pedro Manoel; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7398754661670478; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1501242713892003Fish of the Schizodon genus have important representation in the largest South American basins. Historically they underwent through several taxonomic revisions, due to their high phenotypic plasticity and the ontogenetic characters found among the species of this group. The goal of this work was to evaluate the congruence between the molecular units (MOTUs) and the nominal species currently valid, using the DNA barcoding and coalescent methods. DNA extraction, amplification and analysis of the mitochondrial COI region from 68 samples were performed; additionally, 19 sequences available on the BOLD system were added to the analyses. The CodonCode Aligner program was used to edit the sequences and alignment. The genetic distances were calculated in the MEGA 7 software, using the K2P model (Kimura 2-Parameters). For the distance-based species delimitation, the DNA barcoding method was used with three different values of thresholds (2%, 1.4% and 1%). Although evidencing different numbers of MOTUs, the results were congruent in suggesting a possible synonymy of S. jacuiensis and S. platae. With the thresholds 1.4% and 1%, S. vittatus was subdivided into two MOTUs, evidencing the existence of a potential cryptic species. These results were corroborated in the GMYC (Generalized Mixed Yule-coalescent) species delimitation analysis. Thus, the findings of this work show that there are disagreements between the molecular units and the currently valid taxonomy for the genus. This indicates that an extensive taxonomic revision, using morphological and molecular tools, which include different genes, is still needed for a better decision on the taxonomic status within the Schizodon genus.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Trajetórias de vida de pessoas com deficiência e educação física escolar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-08-28) Camargo, Laureen Lopes; Caiado, Kátia Regina Moreno; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0803778280883949; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6593634507530691The discussion scenario for Special Education (SE) and Inclusive Education (IE) is a reality today and means that it does not occur only in the theoretical field. The difficulties and challenges are related to different aspects shown by many studies that verify that, unfortunately, exclusionary situations in school everyday. The same scenario is noted when we focus in school physical education (SPE). Therefore, the topic of this research is related to SPE and SE. The general objective is: to analyze the exclusion factors of people with disabilities (PWD) in SPE. The specific objectives are: 1) to describe and study the life trajectory of PWD focusing on lived experiences during physical education (PE) classes at school; 2) to study the relation between SPE of PWD and their involvement with sports; and 3) to analyze the PWD conception of PE. The theoretical framework is based on Dermeval Saviani's Historical-Critical Pedagogy (HCP), as well as EE studies such as Jannuzzi (2004a, 2004b) and PE studies such as Chicon (2015), Darido (2003) and Castellani Filho (2003), which will help to discuss its contextualization, conceptions, purposes and contents. The chosen referential is the thematic oral history, focusing on five axes to conduct the interviews. The selected collaborators are four adult educated athletes, with ages varying from 17 to 63 years, who play in adapted teams in the city of Sorocaba and are already attending school as a disability person. The analysis of the interviews identified and classified the contents that most appeared at the narratives. After that, constructed data was interpreted according to the theoretical framework of the research, pursuing to answer the proposed questions. Finally, it was possible to realize a concrete analysis of the real-life movement of the PWD, considering their past in the SPE, identifying as exclusion factors: 1) the teachers' approach; 2) the dissemination of content without a dialectical interface with the social function of SPE; 3) the fragility in legitimation of SPE’s purposes; 4) the discrimination and society’s difficulty in understanding people instead of judging someone by their disabilities; 5) the unpreparedness in some professionals training. It should be emphasized that it was not intended to assign value judgments to historical moments of the SPE, but to perform a critical analysis to understand such factors, assuming a political position of discussing the reality of PWD in these classes through their own trajectories: “Nothing about us, without us!”. It is expected to contribute with a quality education and encourage further studies focused on educational practices, which prepare individuals to intervene and overcome barriers that are put by society and thus ensure everyone’s right to acquire knowledge and contents about body culture, aiming a truly inclusive SPE.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Modelo de otimização para a rede humanitária de suprimentos no Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-08-28) Bonilla Londoño, Héctor Fabio; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0245267028273903; Alem Junior, Douglas José; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0744448264150067; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1837470831970620This dissertation addresses the problem of designing a humanitarian supply network. With this purpose, a mixed integer linear programming model is proposed, which aims at maximizing the covering of demand in the affected municipalities. The proposed model considers facilities having two purposes (which operate as deposits and aid centers), and is used to decide on capacity planning upon the basis of the Social Vulnerability Index (SoVI) that prioritizes the care of more vulnerable areas. For the sake of testing the model, a real case based on the Brazilian disaster response planning was considered. Thus, data was gathered from the Integrated System Disaster Information (S2iD); in particular, the 11 types of natural disasters with the highest prevalence during the period 2007-2016 were used for the study. The goal was to estimate the demand for relief aid required to cover population needs in the affected municipalities. Computational experiments were implemented and executed to evaluate the mathematical model. The results suggest that the model proposed may be used as a decision support tool that allows for evaluating: (i) the configuration of the humanitarian supply network, regarding to the deposits and aid centers, as well as their characteristics in terms of capacity and long-term operation, (ii) the dynamics of transportation of relief aid throughout the country to meet the requirements (iii) sensitivity analysis of the budget to the care of victims and the role of SoVI in the level of emergency service; and (iv) the advantages and disadvantages of combining pre-positioning and acquisition of relief aid to take the care of victims.
