listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Russell's Paradox: a historical study about the paradox in Frege's theories(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06) Coury, Aline Germano Fonseca; Vilela, Denise Silva; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8155152145332951; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4688805153426529; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7129-6812; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2973-1301For over twenty years, Frege tried to find the foundations of arithmetic through logic, and by doing this, he attempted to establish the truth and certainty of the knowledge. However, when he believed his work was done, Bertrand Russell sent him a letter pointing outa paradox, known as Russell’s paradox. It is often considered that Russell identified the paradox in Frege’s theories. However, as shown in this paper, Russell, Frege and also George Cantor contributed significantly to the identification of the paradox. In 1902, Russell encouraged Frege to reconsider a portion of his work based in a paradox built from Cantor’s theories. Previously, in 1885, Cantor had warned Frege about taking extensions of concepts in the construction of his system. With these considerations, Frege managed to identify the precise law and definitions that allowed the generation of the paradox in his system. The objective of this paper is to present a historical reconstruction of the paradox in Frege’s publications and discuss it consideringthe correspondences exchanged between him and Russell. We shall take special attention to the role played by each of these mathematicians in the identification of the paradox and its developments. We also will show how Frege anticipated the solutions andnew theories that would arise when dealing with logico-mathematical paradoxes, including but not limited to Russell’s paradox.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Refill friction stir spot welding: investigation of the similar and dissimilar welding of AA5754-H22 and AA6061-T6 sheets(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-03) Ferreira, Antonio Cappelletti; Campanelli, Leonardo Contri; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8983259236829248; Alcântara, Nelson Guedes de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3123107570992184; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1837484180156680The automotive industry is shifting to a new paradigm of material utilization in vehicles. Different parts of the car structural body are increasingly being made of materials selected to have a customized performance according to its position in the car. For that reason, materials are welded in similar and dissimilar combinations beyond the capabilities of traditional welding methods. Refill Friction Stir Spot Welding (RFSSW) is an emerging technology able to weld similar and dissimilar combination of materials in a consistent manner and delivering the quality requirements for car industry. The present research work focused on the RFSSW of similar AA5754-AA5754 and dissimilar AA5754- AA6061, which commonly occur in formed sheets of car door panels. The investigation of internal defects, mechanical properties, metallurgy and material flow were the main objectives of this work. Design of Experiments, Response Surface Methodology and Analysis of Variance were the statistical tools to investigate the window of process parameters where welds were optimized and to find parameter combinations where defects could possibly be present. Mechanical testing was performed with Lap-Shear Strength tests and microhardness measurements. Microstructural analysis was performed with polarized light microscopy. Material flow was analyzed with Stop-Action technique. Statistical analysis revealed a very linear model for the similar combination depending mostly of the individual contribution of parameters, specially Plunge Depth. For dissimilar welding, the model is more dependent on the square and two-way contributions. It was identified internal pores and lack of filling defects that explained the poor performance for certain combinations of parameters.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Construção de múltiplos ninhos como estratégia reprodutiva para o Garibaldi, Chrysomus ruficapillus (Aves, Icteridae)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-04) Costa, Mariellen Cristine; Francisco, Mercival Roberto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4305313620456233; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2645130303841091The main function of bird's nests is to provide protection for eggs and young, and due the high risks of predation, nests are under intense natural selection. Nest construction is time and energetically costing, which limits the number of nests constructed in a breeding season. For this reason, intense and elaborated constructions can provide cues about male fitness, influencing in sexual selection. However, a small number of species has developed the construction of multiple nests in the same breeding territory as a reproductive strategy, and some of hypotheses have been proposed to explain such behavior. Although some o these hypotheses are not mutually-excludent, most works have addressed only one or two of these hypotheses. The Chestnut-capped Blackbird, Chrysomus ruficapilus, belongs to the family Icteridae and it is widely distributed in South America, being a common element in floodable areas. Previous works have reported the presence of non-breeding nests for this species and they were treated as abandoned nests, but the real functions of these extra-nests were never investigated. Here we addressed the function of the extra-nests in C. ruficapillus by testing the following hypotheses: (1) old nests hypothesis; (2) inefficient concealment hypothesis, which predicts that extra-nests are nests that were abandoned because they were constructed in highly exposed sites; (3) predation avoidance hypothesis, and the (4) female attraction hypothesis. To achieve this purpose we carried out periodical visits to the study area, between October 2017 to April 2018, and marked males within their territories and their nests were monitored. To evaluate the above hypotheses we tested for correlations between numbers of nests in the territories and: numbers of clutch initiations; numbers of fledglings; probability of males being chosen by females, and nest survival. Further, a number of environmental covariates that could influence in these parameters were controlled. Nests never lasted across breeding seasons, eliminating the old nest hypothesis. Used and non-used nests did not differ in relation to vegetation density parameters, providing low support to the inefficient concealment hypothesis. Males constructed up to 14 nests in a season, and had up to six clutch initiations. The female attraction hypothesis was corroborated, as the number of nests was correlated to the number of clutch initiations and number of fledglings. However, females have not actively selected for males with the higher numbers of nests in their territories, and nest survival was also non-correlated to the number of extra nests. Then, our results give support to the idea that males build multiple nests to increase their reproductive fitness.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Agroecologias: um estudo dos programas de pós-graduação em Agroecologia no Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-04) Sobral, Vivianne Caroline Santos; Andrade, Thales Haddad Novaes de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5882842888759363; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0209133621640634This paper presents Agroecology as a scientific area in a consolidation phase in Brazil. In order to demonstrate this, an exploratory research is initially conducted on the emergence of agroecology and its scientific and epistemological basis, as well as its introduction in graduate programs in Brazil. To understand how agroecology constitutes a scientific field, Bourdiesian theory about science along with Kuhn's studies on the scientific paradigm are rescued to reflect on the inclusion of agroecology in the scientific field – which is already dominated by the scientific paradigm of the agrarian sciences. An empirical research is also produced on accredited graduate programs on agroecology on the CAPES portal. Thus, a characterization of the graduate schools is initially made based on the institutional narratives displayed on the webpages of each graduate program/university, and it also includes data on the faculty and the curriculum structure of each agroecology graduate program. The aim is to evaluate if there is coherence between the discourse of each institution, the curricular structure of the courses, and the scientific proposal of agroecology. As a methodological approach, a case study on the graduate studies in Agroecology and Rural Development of the Federal University of São Carlos and some accredited professors in this graduate program are interviewed. These interviews have enriched the analysis of the agroecological scientific area. In addition, some considerations on scientific production (theses and dissertations) in agroecology are carried out together with reflections on how the political scenario can affect the development of the agroecological scientific field. The results point to the growth and consolidation of the agroecological scientific department and some institutional and political obstacles that may hinder the growth of this area of knowledge are listed.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O IPEA e as políticas de desenvolvimento: dois momentos da burocracia pública enquanto capacidade estatal (1995-2014)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-04) Stulano, Daniel; Cepêda, Vera Alves; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4917331423373631; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3590572343013676The Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada (IPEA), founded in 1964 during the national authoritarian developmentalism and under the influence of technocratic thinking, can be characterized as an institution that has experienced moments in its historical trajectory, having its bureacratic capacities oscillated considerably. Based on the assumption that there is a developmentalist lineage in Brazil, where the State is considered a fundamental actor in the processes of production of development arrangements, based on political pacts and public tools, it is sought to understand if the capacities and actions of the IPEA, an institution that represents a kind of intelligentsia within the state apparatus, are influenced by the different national moments and, specifically, by the conceptualizations regarding the role of the State and the planning in the generation of national development. In this sense, the aim is to analyze the bureaucratic capabilities of the institution, with a special focus on its mission, during two contrasting national moments, experienced in a recent period in the Brazilian trajectory: neoliberal orientation, represented by the Fernando Henrique Cardoso (PSDB); the new-developmentalism moment, represented by the governments of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and Dilma Rousseff (PT). Since the end of the 1970s, the institution has experienced a process of displacement of its primary function, of advisory and policy making, in the State its privileged interlocutor, for the production and dissemination of knowledge, having in society an interlocutor. This reversal of terms becomes clearer during the neoliberal moment, but deepens in the new-developmentalist moment, when the capabilities of the institution are strengthened. There are indications that the institution also experienced a change in the profile of its technical staff and in its intellectual production, where the largest public competition in the history of the institution, in 2008, and the creation of the Diretoria de Estudos e Políticas do Estado, das Instituições e da Democracia (DIEST), in 2010, appear to be paradigmatic. There are indications that during the new developmentalist moment, IPEA widened the scope of research, inserting new areas, themes and approaches, becoming a more heterogeneous institution in order to encompass the multiplicity of issues brought about by the reinterpretation of the idea of development.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo da comunidade bacteriana associada a Podocarpus macrophyllus: interações na microbiota, compostos fixos e voláteis, e do potencial de aplicação na biotecnologia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-05) Pereira, Thieres Magaive Costa; Rodrigues Filho, Edson; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3667941735597178; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3723051013716179The diversity of the bacterial community associated with the Podocarpus Macrophyllus plant has been systematically studied in order to determine the genera of bacteria that are commonly associated with this plant, as well as the composition of the community bacterial changes due to regional and seasonal conditions. It was included that genus Bacillus is the main associated with the host plant, being isolated in all regions and seasons, and in all tissues used in the procedures of isolation. Within this genus, the species Bacillus pumilus was largely isolated in all studied conditions. Additionally, the biotechnological potential of the main bacteria associated with the plant was evaluated by the studying the production of fixed and volatile compounds, as well as the interaction with endophytic fungi associated with the same plant. These bacteria are skillful producing lipopeptides, surfactin and iturin were identified and isolated from all strains, fengycins were isolated from LaBioMMi 1180 and 1202 strains that correspond to Bacillus subtilis. Finally, the plantazolicin was isolated from LaBioMMi 1137, which corresponds to Bacillus pumilus, and such metabolites are the main responsible for the inhibitory activity of these bactéria, when cultivated with endophytic fungi Isolated from the same plant. With regard to volatile compounds, all strains demonstrate great ability to produce nitrogenous compounds, such as pyrazine, and oxygenated compounds as short chain ketones. Bacillus spp. demonstrates great potential for biotechnological application for bioremmenation and biodegradation of polymers. When cultivated in medium enriched with Fe3+, LaBioMMi 1141 demonstrated the ability to absorve much of the heavy metal content depending on the condition in which it was cultivated. The results for the biosorption of Cu2+ and the composition of Fe3+ together with Cu2+ showed no satisfactory results in comparison with Fe3+ alone. On the other hand, LaBioMMi 1180 has been shown to be able to degradate several polymers, when these are the unique carbon source in the medium, thus demonstrating the great potential of these endophytic microorganisms.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Síntese, atratividade e eficácia de encapsulados sobre Atta sexdens (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-06) Gustani, Flávia Maria; Janegitz, Bruno Campos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7746094938977989; Fujihara, Ricardo Toshio; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1863735094370774; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3515076570138144Leaf-cutting ants (Hymenoptera, Formicidae, Attini) are defoliation pests of great agronomic importance The most effective control method is chemical, by using granulated baits containing sulfluramide as standard active ingredient. Therefore, the objective of this work was to develop an encapsulated based on chitosan and tapioca, compatible with the attractive ingredient (citrus pulp) and with the active ingredient (sulfluramide). For the synthesis of the encapsulates 30 mL of the chitosan solution, 6 mL of tapioca solution, 6 mL of acetone solution with sulfluramide and finally 3 g of citrus pulp were gradually added under constant stirring. The final solution was dripped in NaOH (1 mol) and after the precipitation process the encapsulates were subjected to Petri dish drying at 24°C for 2 days. In order to confirm the presence of sulfluramide in the encapsulated, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) were performed. According to the characterizations made by FTIR, XRD and SEM, the presence of sulfluramide was confirmed in the synthesized encapsulated. To evaluate the attractiveness and the incorporation, the behavioral acts were observed regarding the foliar and encapsulated disks: to hold them on the fungus; lick its surface; puncture them into smaller fragments; pleating or gripping its edges; deposition of fecal fluid; incorporation in the fungus garden and deposition of hyphae on the newly incorporated fragments. There was rejection in the loading and the incorporation of encapsulated based on chitosan and tapioca in comparison to leaf discs. The most frequent behavioral acts in the processing of the encapsulated were: licking (21.53%), holding the encapsulated (21.41%) and loading the encapsulated (18.57%). The caste that most acted in the processing of encapsulated were the gardeners (50.59%). To evaluate the accumulated mortality of Atta sexdens workers were supply encapsulated without sulfluramide (ESA); encapsulated with 2% (m/v) sulfluramide (E2%); commercial bait Mirex™ (IGC). For that, evaluations were done at 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 14, 17 and 21 days after treatment application, and the mortality was accounted per day. Mortality averages were corrected for the Abbott formula. The symptoms of intoxication corresponded to: t = tremors; l = slow movements; f = difficulty in moving legs; d = paralyzed front legs; p = paralyzed hind legs; i = all legs paralyzed, but antennas and gaster with normal movements; g = general paralysis. The non-parametric test Kruskal-Wallis was used for the analysis of the data at significance level (p<0.05), followed by test Student-Newman-Keuls. It was observed that in ESA the symptoms increased until the eleventh day, where the registered mortality rates were 64%. The E2% treatment presented symptoms from the first day and the 14th day all the workers were in dead. The treatment IGC, as in E2%, presented marked symptoms from the first day. On the ninth day of evaluation, it already had 100% of workers dead. Comparing the treatments between each other the mortality of E2% and IGC were significantly higher than in ESA. The encapsulated proved to have allowed the intoxication of workers causing mortality in the same proportion as the granulated baits.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Adsorção de tiametoxam em caldo de cana-de-açúcar (Saccharum spp) por carvão ativado nanomodificado e determinação por Cromatografia Líquida de Alta Eficiência (CLAE-DAD)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-06) Freitas, Driélle Aparecida de; Carrilho, Elma Neide Vasconcelos Martins; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5147872007117167; Nocelli, Roberta Cornélio Ferreira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8934724759636382; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8723366953235952The cultivation of sugarcane is one of the oldest in human civilization. In Brazil the species Saccharum officinarum is of greater importance for the sugar-alcohol sector due to its high levels of sucrose. Over time, several factors and conditions allowed Brazil to be one of the largest producers of this cultivar. However, in order to guarantee high productivity, high levels of pesticides are applied in this crop, among which the neonicotinoid and systemic insecticide thiamethoxam (TMX) stands out. Systemic insecticides applied in crops are of great concern due to the possibility of the consumption of their derivatives by humans and animals. Therefore, considering the sugarcane juice a food matrix and the risks that TMX residues can offer, the objective of this work was to develop and validate a chromatographic method for quantification of this pesticide, as well as to evaluate its removal from aqueous and sugarcane juice media by a magnetic activated charcoal nanocomposite (AC-NP). The synthesis of ACNP was performed by the coprecipitation method, and the composite was characterized by XDR, FTIR, and SEM. After TMX adsorption assays, the pesticide was quantified by High Performance Liquid Chromatography coupled with a diode array detector (HPLCDAD) at 254 nm. The chromatographic operating conditions were: mobile phase acetonitrile:water (30:70) at 1.0 mL min-1 flow rate; C18 column; sample injection volume 20 μL; and analysis time of 6 min. The main parameters of the validation presented satisfactory results, and the selectivity of the method for TMX was observed in both water and sugarcane media, with limits of detection and quantification of 0.057 and 0.17 mg L1, respectively, and 4.6 min retention time. The matrix effect was not observed and r2 ranged from 0.9958 to 0.9985. Recovery tests presented results between 91 and 103%, and the coefficient of variation range was 1.9 – 4.3%. The nanomodification process was satisfactory and the characterization of AC-NP allowed to observe the effective impregnation of the magnetite. The TMX adsorption kinetics in sugarcane juice by ACNP was a pseudo-second order type, with r2 of 0.9999, indicating a chemical adsorption process. The experimental sorption capacity (SC) for both TMX (standard) and TMX-FP (formulated product) were 13.3 and 65.7 mg g-1, respectively, and Freundlich and SIPS isothermal models best fit the TMX data (r2 = 0.9740 and 0.9716), while TMX-FP data were adjusted to Langmuir and SIPS (r2 0.9941 and 0.9943). Therefore, it was possible to conclude that the chromatographic method proposed for the quantification of TMX and TMX-FP in aqueous and sugarcane juice media was highly satisfactory, and validated for its main parameters. The efficiency of AC-NP in the sorption of this analyte was confirmed by the excellent values of SC and kinetics, indicating its favorable use in the removal of TMX from complex matrices.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Uma criança como outra qualquer? A criança transexual em diálogo com a teoria Queer(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-07) Silva, Bianca Neves Borges da; Moruzzi, Andrea Braga; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1502374705668286; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2383531387050967This paper focuses on discussions about children who don’t identify themselves and express a disagreement with following socially pre-established gender norms and standards. Such standards are strongly established within church, family, and school institutions and are rooted in a heteronormative and binary logic that not only nullifies children's various ways of expressing and living, but violates their basic rights as human beings. There is also another side, which is that these same children are being portrayed in the media in a way perhaps as violent as those treated in other institutions. They are being classified, medicalized, analyzed by experts as deviant and abnormal. To fulfill the objective of analyzing how this transgender child is invented and presented to society by the Brazilian television media, which today has consolidated itself as one of the largest mass media and information, we conducted: (a) a bibliographic research with the survey of all news found on the google.com search engine from 2010 to 2018 dealing with the theme of transgender children; (b) theoretical survey with academic publications on the same theme and at the same time frame in the googleschoolar.com search engine, in order to understand what the academic field has debated about these children; (c) analysis of the video report about “Coy” produced by the program “Fantástico”. The theoretical analysis of this work is based on Queer studies and reflections that fit the non-identity paradigm, problematizing the way in which identities are constructed, whatever, how many and how they are. With this research we try to contribute to the debate by revealing the violence experienced by children who are neglected in their singularities, do not have their wishes respected and are ridiculed when they try to live their desires in some way, and at the same time, the process of plaster that occurs when they put them in a new category that is equally identity.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Uma comparação entre cursos superiores de tecnologia e cursos superiores tradicionais com base no retorno econômico(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-07) Cillo, Karina Correa; Ferro, Andrea Rodrigues; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3432809140419477; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5864482098370411Brazilian higher education has been expanding for at least twelve years. Through the analysis of data from the Higher Education Census (2017), it is possible to see an increase in the number of enrollments and in the offer of courses in higher education institutions, as well as diversification of the courses offered. Among the options of undergraduate courses, the traditional ones are separated from the higher technology courses. This work makes a comparison between the traditional higher education courses and the higher education technology courses, through the application of the method of economic return, based on the human capital theory. According to the theoretical model, when taking a higher education course, the individual expands his own capital by becoming more productive, being able to bargain a higher salary in the job market. In practice, taking a higher education course represents an investment decision, in which the asset is the individual himself and his return is the bonus on his remuneration. Indeed, the income of an individual with a higher degree exceeds the income of a person with a medium education, this difference being attributed to the additional years of study. Economic return is a cost-benefit measure, represented by an internal rate, which equates the costs and benefits of higher education at a given present value. It is assumed that the bonus of traditional education is greater than that of technological education, but the economic return of the former is lower than that of the latter, due to the weight of costs. In addition to academic expenses, dedicating to higher education implies fewer hours available for paid work, indicating the existence of investment opportunity costs. PNAD microdata were used to estimate the bonuses for each type of graduation and their respective opportunity costs, via Heckman's procedure. The public cost per student, calculated by the MEC, was used as a proxy for academic expenses. The analysis is done by sex in order to remove the bias of wage inequality between men and women. Heckman's results show that the bonus provided by traditional higher education is greater than that provided by technological education and the comparison between the internal rates of return points out that the economic return of traditional education is lower than that of technological education, both for men and women. The analysis by sex suggests wage inequality in the labor market by showing that the economic return of men is higher than that of women, regardless of the type of course.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A empresarização do comércio popular em São Paulo: trabalho, empreendedorismo e formalização excludente(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-07) Rangel, Felipe; Lima, Jacob Carlos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9244132532446607; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1619003785230081This thesis describes and analyses the recent transformations in the informal commerce in São Paulo, especially with regard to the changes in the work for the agents involved. Given that the term “informal commerce” evokes a myriad of work situations and various processes of circulation, I indicate here the specific segment of this universe with which I developed research: they are traders in enclosed spaces, especially in the so-called "Feirinha da Madrugada" and in the new arcades and low-cost shopping centers in Brás region. Based on the ethnographic observation of the daily work of a group of traders, interviews and the monitoring of news about popular commerce in the last years, I tried to analyse the meanings and effects of the new regulation strategies of this market. I discuss these transformations mobilizing the idea of "enterprisation" of the informal commerce, framing in this notion the strategies of rearrangement of these commercial activities under the business logic, which have transformed the spaces, the forms of regulation and even the conduct, the perceptions and expectations of the subjects. The enterprisation of these markets has also made the engagement of other workers' profiles more plausible. Many of them left formal jobs, in a context of objective and symbolic precariousness of the wage relation. I argue that these informal trade reordering strategies have been promoted through a double narrative, responding to both the interests of economic exploitation and the discourse against certain illegalities and formalizing these activities via entrepreneurial logic. However, having seen the exclusionary effects of this formalization, there has been a kind of labour gentrification in these markets.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Bromeliaceae como ferramenta em estudos ambientais na Guarnição de Aeronáutica de Pirassununga (Pirassununga, SP)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-07) Silva, José Victor da; Sebastiani, Renata; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9773755519907716; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1032739471985184The Cerrado is the second largest phytogeographical domain in Brazil, with its great territorial extension the Cerrado has great diversity of environmental conditions and consequently a great variety of vegetal formations. The vegetation formations of the Cerrado can be understood through the concept of "forest-ecotone-field", which shows a gradient between forest formations (cerradão) and field formations (clean field), between these formations occur the other Cerrado formations. Thanks to this diversity of plant formations with different environmental conditions, the Cerrado is home to a great biodiversity. Bromeliaceae is the largest restricted family in the Americas with about 3150 species, in Brazil there are 1370 species, the Cerrado has the second largest number of Bromeliads 253, in the Cerrado formations in the State of São Paulo 23 species occur. The Bromeliaceae family has as general characteristics its leaves arranged in rosettes, usually forming a tank and with spines, its roots in most species are used only for fixation, water absorption by most species of Bromeliaceae is given by their trichomes distributed in a manner varied in its leaves. The present study was carried out at the Aeronautical Garrison of Pirassununga (Pirassununga, SP), Garrison has about 1500 hectares of vegetation. In the first chapter the species of Bromeliaceae occurring in a cerradão area were mapped, identified and counted from their points of occurrence, seven species were identified and it was possible to notice that these species even having similar dispersion means (all species are dispersed by the wind except for Ananas) were distributed differently in space. It was discussed that this variety is due to differentmorphological characteristics of each species favoring its fixation in areas with different environmental conditions, so the occurrence and increase in the population of certain species of Bromeliaceae is directly influenced by the environmental conditions of a fragment, such as temperature and humidity. In the second chapter of this dissertation, the floristic survey of the family Bromeliaceae in the Garrison was carried out, where the different vegetal formations that occurred in the Garrison were sampled. It was recognized nine species of Bromeliaceae distributed in five genera, although not a very high number, comparing with other studies the number of species in the Garrison can be considered high. Finally the present work concludes that species of theBromeliaceae family occurring in an area can be directly affected by small variations in the microclimate conditions of a vegetal fragment, this work also concludes that the Garrison is an important area for the conservation of the biodiversity in the State of Sao Paulo.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeitos do ensino do responder relacional dêitico sobre o desempenho de crianças pré-escolares em tarefas de teoria da mente(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-07) Vieira, Susane Vitória Gonçalves; Souza, Débora de Hollanda; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3640676759708745; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2181974320339110Theory of Mind is the ability to attribute mental states to self and other individuals which, in turn, allows one to predict human behavior. Researchers who base their work on Relational Framing Theory claim that Perspective Taking is the core of Theory of Mind. Perspective Taking is based on a particular pattern of relational deictic response established by training I-You, Here-There, Now-Than frames. Few studies so far investigated the relation between Perspective Taking training and performance in Theory of Mind tasks, and findings are divergent. The present work aimed to test if adaptations in Perspective Taking Protocol (RFT-PT), such as the use of prompts, can be useful for teaching relational responding. The second goal was to test if this version of the protocol improves Brazilian preschoolers’ performance in Theory of Mind tasks. Two studies were conducted. In each study, two 4-year-old children with poor performance in Theory of Mind tasks participated. The procedure in both studies included Theory of Mind tasks before and after the RFT-PT application. The protocol consisted in teaching two of the three levels of deictic relational complexity: simple and reverse levels. Blocks of trials were used to teach the three frames according to the relational level. Pre-test and post-test were conducted to assess the learning of relational responding by all four participants. In the first study, the number of trials per level was higher, in addition, the trials were first presented with physical prompts and then without any prompt. One participant presented difficulty at the simple level and the other one at the reverse level. Both completed the procedure in the second reverse level training block. The prompts did not prove to be efficient for the teaching of relational deictic responding. Additionally, no differences were found between the initial and final Theory of Mind and PT-RFT measures. Based on the first study, other modifications were made to the second study, such as the gradual withdrawal of prompts and reduction of number of trials at the reverse level. Only one participant completed the procedure. After the reverse level training, the participant reached post-test learning criterion only in the Now-Than frame. There was no change in Theory of Mind performance between pre-test and post-test tasks. In summary, participants in the present study had difficulty responding to the protocol even with the help of prompts. Additionally, perspective taking training was not followed by improvement in participants' performance. These results suggest that the original protocol may not be appropriate for some children and that new directions of investigation should be explored.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Elementos críticos na adoção da perspectiva integrada “Leagile” (lean /ágile) no relacionamento interfirmas da cadeia de suprimentos do setor automotivo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-10) Moraes, Juliana Costa Dias de; Piato, Éderson Luiz; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1439984077907071; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8309780638047632This research aims to identify the critical elements that influence the adoption of the integrated "Leagile" perspective in the relationship between companies in the automotive supply chain. Through an exploratory qualitative study using the critical incident technique, we seek to contribute to the literature by filling the existing gap regarding further studies on the Leagile perspective applied to the context of the interfirm relationship. This approach is still under-explored, both in the literature on supply chain management and in good business practices. Although the Lean and Agile philosophies have been widely studied for many decades, this has occurred in isolation and applied exclusively to the context of manufacture. The application of these combined perspectives in the context of supply chain relationships is still recent and little discussed. As it is a recent topic, from the perspective of a new application, the study requires an in - depth exploratory research, in the search for the understanding of the elements to be identified and their influences. The work identified aspects of the SCM relationship, relationship antecedents, and Lean and Agile perspectives of each SCM member with their connections and divergences. Decoupling points were identified, and a displacement proposal was presented to provide gain of channel flexibility. An analysis and decision scheme have been proposed to direct managerial work in organizations that wish to implement integrated strategies such as Leagile.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A fauna em jogo: perspectivas do jogo de papéis nas dimensões de conhecimento, valores e participação na Educação Ambiental crítica(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-10) Oliveira, Adriana Fernandes Machado de; Silva, Rosana Louro Ferreira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2635824351245453; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6356795892508861One of the goals of the critical Environmental Education (EE) is to stimulate the reflection process allied to citizenship principles through transformative learning, within the educational dimensions of knowledge, values and participation. This can empower people to be emotionally able to changes and politically aware. A transformative EE methodology should seek change and not just knowledge attainment; reveal behaviors in a realistic scenery; emphasize internal and external influences on current environmental behavior; and include an interactive conflict situation that demands a solution. Roleplay simulations allow us to observe behaviors during problem-solving approaches and to reflect upon them, through collaborative practice and social interaction. The aim of this essay was to create a role-playing game with a socioenvironmental conflict contextualized to fauna conservation issues in the region of Jundiaí-SP, and then investigate the potentiality of this material related to the critical EE dimensions. The specific objectives were: to explore these potentialities in an educational action that used this methodology in continuing professional development for teachers; to assess the main fauna conservation problems in the region of Jundiaí-SP; to create a role-playing game based on the problems found; to analyze this game when utilized with high school students, in order to identify the dimensions of knowledge, values and participation; to verify if it was possible to explore transformative methodologies during the use of this material; and to contribute with the repertoire of participative methodologies in EE. The content analysis of the discussions generated during the simulation had both a qualitative and descriptive approach, regarding context inferences, as well as quantitative in terms of the frequency of appearance of certain elements of the message. The investigation of conflicts in the area occurred through bibliographical and documentary research. The results obtained through the post-game questionnaire with students and the semi-structured interview with the teacher present during the activity were examined by a descriptive analysis. In the continuing professional development for teachers, aspects of critical EE were seen, with great potential for transformation of the causes of socioenvironmental conflicts. Regarding the main issues related to fauna conservation in the region of Jundiaí-SP, it was noticed the existence of several socioenvironmental problems caused by humans, such as the high number of road accidents involving animals, given the proximity of the city with several important highways. Stemming from this, a didactic roleplay simulation was created, entitled “A Fauna em Jogo” [fauna in game], to raise debate on urban development, sustainability and biodiversity conservation. The use of visual resources facilitated the understanding of the dynamics of the game and the appropriation of the characteristics of the characters. The dialogues that took place during the play displayed aspects of the EE dimensions of participation, values and knowledge, as well as characteristics of EE in its critical, pragmatic and conservative currents. There could also be seen the particularities of a transforming methodology. The following attributes were observed in "A Fauna em Jogo": playful nature; presence of difficulties, with internal and external influences on individual behavior; experience of decentralization, cognitive conflict and consensus building; validation and recognition of the perspectives of other actors; shared experiences between people with different contexts; team building through collaborative learning; and critical reflection and connection of the game with formal knowledge.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Concepção de sistema de controle de RCC em canteiros de obras de edifícios de múltiplos andares(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-10) Lobo, Mariana Giovani; Marques Neto, José da Costa; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2392932422695163; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5328182918460836This work aimed to develop a support system for planning and control of waste construction (WC) for construction sites of multi-floors buildings. For this, started from a macro analysis, verifying the Management Plans required by the National Solid Waste Policy (NSWP) at the national, state and municipal levels until reaching the research outline: construction sites. The data for the composition of the National and State overview was obtained from recent information from the Ministry of the Environment (ME), reports and official documents from federal and state agencies. For the situation about the Integrated Solid Waste Management of Municipal Plans (ISWMMP) analyzed the municipal laws of each one of the 645 municipalities of the State of São Paulo. In addition, along with this analysis to this analysis identified the same laws that required the use of the Waste Transport Control (WTC) document, provided for in Conama Resolution Nº. 307/2002. For the next stage of the research, a questionnaire was developed to analyze the reality of the sites constructions and obtain tool suggestions for the proposed system. The questionnaire was applied at four different companies building multi-floors buildings. As initial results, it was found that the Union does not have its National Plan official, over the States more than half already have their plans prepared and for the municipalities of São Paulo, the reality found was different from that provided by the Green Blue Municipality Program (GBMP). Currently, less than half of the municipalities - 48% - have their ISWMMP elaborated and instituted by law, and under this same premise it was found that only 13% of the municipalities are required to use the WTC. About the case studies, they revealed that big generators miss a solid WC database to consult. The system was designed based on the suggestions and analysis of the reality shared by the four builders. It was concluded that the big generators do a lot and seek by the fact that they have certifications such as ISO 9001 and PBQP-H. The proposed system is a complete control tool that seeks greater integration of WC management related activities in the site construction to assist the big generators. Its differential is the sharing of data between users that will compose a consolidated and easily accessible database.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise da integração interfuncional no processo de entrega de valor: estudo das estratégias integradas de demanda e suprimento em uma indústria de bens de consumo rápido(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-11) Quinaglia, Eric Alberto; Piato, Éderson LuizDemand and supply processes are of great importance for cross-functional integration, as they connect their activities directly to organizational strategies with a focus on balancing operational efficiencies and delivering value to customers. The aim of this study is to identify and analyze how the cross-functional integration of demand and supply strategies contribute to customer value delivery in the context of the fast-moving consumer goods industry. The study used the systematic approach with bibliometric analysis on four indexing platforms to compose the development of the theoretical review. This research has a qualitative and exploratory objective, in which it used a single case study to collect and analyze the results investigated in the main strategies present in the demand and supply processes in a national large beverage company. The results presented explore the dynamics of integration against the six most important strategies, according to the investigated company's experts, which are essential for the integration of demand and supply processes, describing, in each of them, their contact points, integration factors and impacts generated. In addition, for a better visualization of the results, a cross analysis of the integration between demand and supply was carried out, which resulted in the formation of study propositions, which point to greater brand exposure and territorial presence, increased sales volume, agility in terms of time. delivery and greater timing and flexibility to adapt to changes and market reactions. The research has as limitation the use of the single case study as a research method, suggesting that future studies may investigate other segments and departments in more than one company to corroborate the dynamics of cross-functional integration.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Currículo de Arte: continuidades e mudanças para propostas contemporâneas, a partir de uma análise curricular da Educação Artística do período da ditadura civil-militar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-11) Grando, Bruna Cristiane; Silva, Antonio Fernando Gouvêa da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9621931288117213; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2240872690573368The research analyzed the curriculum of Artistic Education, starting from the promulgation of Law no. 5.692/71, as well as comparing it to the 2011’s high school languages, codes and their technologies curriculum of the state of São Paulo, in which the discipline of Art take part of. Freirean conceptions of education and aesthetics were taken as theoretical-methodological reference, as well as the Triangular Approach of Ana Mae Barbosa. The research was conducted from a qualitative research approach, through documents' analysis. The curricula were analyzed by the critical-liberating pedagogical tendency, taking into account the role of education as a means of individuals' emancipation. The study is justified in order to understand the importance of the implantation of Artistic Education in the school curriculum by Law no. 5.692/71and how this introduction could have influenced the curriculum of Art still in the present time, considering that this research understands this area of knowledge as one of the most potent ways to develop creative capacity. The categories of analysis used for curriculum research were epistemological curiosity, sensibility, self-expression, which are imbricated in the main category of creativity. The conclusion is that both curricula have many similarities in the way that they were build, have a technical feature and constitute themselves from the conservative pedagogical tendency, despite differences in methodologies.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A estratégia chinesa frente a Indústria 4.0, uma análise comparativa.(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-11) Lucena, Felipe Andrade Santos; Roselino, José Eduardo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7410971805108456; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7336474041504383This study is about the phenomenon of the 4th industrial revolution and the top tier countries roles in this revolution. Finally, China, together with the major powers, prepared a series of measures to prepare for the fourth industrial revolution, in the same context as they were planned for the elaboration of an industrial week. to become one of the leading manufacturing companies of the year 2050.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O uso de dispositivos eletrônicos móveis como Tecnologia Assistiva por pessoas com baixa visão(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-06-12) Borges, Wanessa Ferreira; Mendes, Enicéia Gonçalves; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3897627554738983; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8832656114320939The access to the visual information present in several social spheres, demand a good functioning of the visual system. The absence and / or reduction of their performance can cause disadvantages in the development, functionality and social participation, particularly when considered the people with low vision or blindness. On the other hand, the visual abilities and the use of the remaining senses can be leveraged for access to information through the use of Assistive Technology (AT). Although the beneficial potential of conventional AT features is proven, onlye a fraction of people with low vision do not use them in promoting their functionality, due to lack of knowledge, economic barriers and because these resources mark the disability. Simultaneously, smartphone and tablet apps present themselves as possibilities in AT and their use has become popular among people with low vision. In this context, the present study aimed to identify and characterize, from the perspective of people with low vision, smartphone and / or tablet apps that assume the function of AT features in occupational activities, regarding their functionalities, potentialities, limitations and new creative demands. The methodology used in this research has a descriptive nature, under the case study design. The study included 28 people with low vision who are members of an existing WhatsApp group. The data collection took place in the virtual space of this app, individually, through a semi-structured interview. The data were transcribed, and analyzed based on the grounded theory, which made possible the following units of analysis: used apps; functionality; difficulties in using; strengths; negative points; creative demands. The participants cited 50 applications and nine accessibility features used on smartphones and tablets. In terms of functionality, the apps that stood out were the ones used for access to textual, print or digital content and the ones used to conduct domestic navigation activities, self-care, food and shopping, recreation and socialization, communication, contrast, and labor and academic activities. The difficulties of handling the apps were associated with: identifying and maintaining the correct focal distance, framing the image to be captured, enabling and disabling accessibility features when exchanging different tools, complexity in navigation gestures and difficulties in the transfer and first access to the app. The positive points were linked to their function, practicality and independence provided to users. The negative points related to the factors that hindered access and use, and the need for internet, battery. The demands for app creation involved browsing activities, reading printed content, labels, price and menu labels, finding products in supermarkets, recognizing people, finding objects, offering and searching for jobs, and professional performance. From this survey, it was possible to identify the potential of these apps in the solution of difficulties faced by people with low vision. In this way, more research, investments, dissemination and teaching programs are suggested to increase its use.
