listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A cadeia produtiva da carne e a política de subsídios via Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES): uma análise de resultados financeiros das grandes empresas beneficiadas e efeitos para produtores e consumidores(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-12-03) Silva, Joice Carla da; Santos, Leandro de Lima; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2750978055015275; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8413-5372This research sought to identify and analyze the reflections of BNDES subsidy policy for the meat production chain (from 2006 to 2016) and its alignment with the expected formal results, based on the financial ratios of three national meatpackers and, under the premise that the government encourages in accordance with the constitutional foundation articles 174 and 192 to promote the development of the country. The justifications of this work are based on the importance of meat, both for the economy and as a source of food, in the fact that the segment is one of the most subsidized by the government and possible contributions from this study to the improvement of government policy aimed at the sector. As a research method, information was collected from the Productive Development Policy (PDP), legislative documents, historical series of the price of beef and meat sold to the final consumer and a comparative analysis of dry liquidity indexes, inventory turnover. , equity evolution, changes in equity interests and other pertinent valuations through the statements of the meatpacking plants. It was found that the companies' financial results improved significantly with the incentives (mainly in terms of growth in equity, net operating income, cash and fixed assets) and the segment increased in the foreign market as PDP aimed, but clear benefits to the Bank and society were not observed. Therefore, it is concluded that there is a misalignment between the effects of the policy and the expected results for the incentive.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeitos da fotobiomodulação a laser (660nm) associada às células tronco mesenquimais em queimaduras de espessura total: estudo in vitro e in vivo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-12-03) Andrade, Ana Laura Martins de; Brassolatti, Patricia; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8403640648196148; Parizotto, Nivaldo Antonio; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5527703735628408; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6270999048662693Burning, a traumatic lesion of thermal origin affects organ tissues and may be classified according to the layers of affected tissue. The complexity of the tissue repair process has always made burning treatment a challenge, not only due to its severity but also due to its multiple complications. Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy for burning, especially in the initial phases of the process, promotes better healing and shorter repair time. The use of stem cells is an area of cutaneous lesion treatment that has been greatly explored and has shown progress in the field of tissue engineering, especially with mesenchymal stem cells. The association of both therapies is believed to accelerate the burned tissue repair process, stimulating cell proliferation and aiding the growth of a tissue of quality. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the laser PBM therapy (660nm) action on the mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) proliferation; identify the biological mechanisms involved in the laser PBM action; establish a efficient experimental model for full thickness burn; and investigate the association of the techniques (PBM and MSCs) on the treatment of full thickness burns. Thus, we performed fours studies, two in vitro and two in vivo. The in vitro studies were performed with two (2D) and tri (3D) dimensional cultures, using mesenchymal stem cells derived from adipose tissue (hASCs) and lase PBM with three different energies (1J, 2J and 6J), with four groups for 2D cultures and four groups for 3D cultures. The 3D culture used a gellan gum spongy-like hydrogel. In both cultures we evaluated the viability, cell proliferation, reactive oxygen species (ROSs) and the inflammatory mediator interleukin-8 (IL-8). The in vivo studies concluded that laser PBM stimulates hASCs proliferation, in addition to maintaining their viability, depending on the energy used in both cultures; in addition to contributing directly to the stimulation of the ROSs and acting in the IL-8 modulation in the 3D culture. The in vivo studies utilized 114 Wistar mice, 18 for the first and 96 for the seconds study. The first study was performed with the soldering iron burn method, with temperature of 150 ºC. The animals were randomized in three groups, G5: burned with 5 seconds of contact with the soldering iron; G10: burned with 10 seconds of contact with the soldering iron; and G20: burning with 20 seconds of contact with the soldering iron. Histopathologial analysis concluded that all groups resulted in full thickness burn, regardless of the time of application. For the second in vivo study, the animals were randomly distributed in four groups: CG: control group, LG: animals treated with lase PBM (660 nm) and 2 J of energy, TCG: animals treated with MSCs and GLCT: animals treated with laser PBM (660 nm and 2J of energy) plus MSCs). The groups treated with laser PBM received irradiations three times a week, in alternated days, for 21 days. The groups treated with MSCs received ten applications of cells in a total volume of 600 μL right after the burning. We performed photographic monitoring in the periods of 3, 7, 14 and 21 days after the beginning of the experiment to evaluate the lesion contraction. Animals were euthanized in four distinct periods (3, 7 , 14 and 21 days after the experimental procedure) and we collected blood and tissue for further histological, immunohistochemistry, immunoenzyme and birefringence analyses. We conclude that the association of MSCs and laser PBM was an efficient method to accelerate the repair process and formation of cutaneous tissue of quality.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Recursos para o acesso aos conteúdos da disciplina de ciências da natureza por estudantes com cegueira(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-12-03) Silva, Janaina Francieli Ferreira da; Paulino, Vanessa Cristina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5235654050505504; Costa, Carolina Severino Lopes da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0303439637261272; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4703115220562783The inclusion of students with visual impairments in regular education is still a challenge, especially with regard to access to Braille textbooks. Therefore, this research aimed to analyze the access of blind students to Natural Sciences curricular content, and the teaching strategies used by the teacher. To this end, a qualitative case study was conducted, with two blind students and their teachers from the Natural Sciences discipline, as well as Special Education, as participants. Data collection took place on the premises of a state public school, located in a medium-sized city in the interior of São Paulo. To achieve the proposed objectives, semi-structured interviews were carried out with blind students and questionnaires were administered to Natural Sciences and Special Education teachers, based on previously prepared scripts, covering the following themes: student-teacher relationship; knowledge of Braille; possible difficulties regarding the book; opinion about the book. Furthermore, observations were carried out, when it was possible to ascertain that students in regular classes do not have access to Braille – in written form or for reading, even due to the lack of a textbook for the subject in Braille. The results showed that the resources used by the Natural Sciences teacher cannot yet be considered inclusive, because it was found that the participation of blind students in the classroom was practically zero. The same can be said about collaborative planning between teachers, showing that there is a lot to be done so that the school inclusion of students with blindness is truly achieved.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Influência do tipo de solo na densidade de madeira e IMA de dois clones comerciais de eucalipto(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-12-03) Silva, Gustavo Torres Galvão da; Martins, Karina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9367637840430435; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4751362739288223In forest plantations, the productive potential of a given site is the result of the interaction between genetic materials and environmental conditions. Both are fundamental factors for the wood quality and the average annual increment. Knowing the performance of different Eucalyptus urophylla commercial clones under different soil conditions is important for forest planning. Our objective is to evaluate the influence of soil types on wood basic density and Average Annual Increment (AAI) in two E. urpophylla clones. We analyzed the wood basic density in trees at 5-6 years of age and the AAI of the two clones grown in four soil types in 14 localities of São Paulo state. ANOVA and Tukey test at 5% probability were performed to test the effect of soil type in the basic wood density and the AAI. Linear and exponential regression equations were performed between AAI x wood basic density and between AAI x Clay Content, respectively. In general, some soils showed significant differences in wood basic density, which may be due to climatic variation among sites. Also, the AAI increased exponentially with the increase of soil clay content (up to about 25 to 35% of clay), but there was no correlation between AAI and wood density.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Um estudo sobre o movimento lógico-histórico do conceito de continuidade(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-12-03) Silva, Rafael Siqueira; Sousa, Maria do Carmo de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6637658562543505; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1573729723278166The aim of this paper is to investigate the logical-historical movement of the concept of Continuity through a historical-epistemological analysis, with a view to determining the essential relations that can be configured as conceptual nexus. Assuming the theoretical contributions of the Historical-Cultural theory, the conceptual nexus are understood as the synthesis of the internal and external relations of a concept, whose determination is realized through the logical-historical movement. Thus, it is established as a guiding question: What are the relations established in the logical-historical movement of the concept of Continuity that can be configured as conceptual nexus from the realization of a historical-epistemological analysis? The research methodology is based on the principles of historical-dialectical materialism and is constituted by the realization of the State of the Art of research on Continuity teaching and the historical-epistemological analysis of historiographical sources that address essential aspects on the development of this concept. The results point to the determination of conceptual connections in the commensurable-incommensurable, discrete-continuous, infinite-infinitesimal, permanence-fluency, punctual-general and rigor-intuition dialectical pairs. Reflections on the results indicate the resignification of the curriculum structure of Continuity in the fields of basic and higher education. In addition, it also discusses the need for the realization of teaching organization of Continuity based on conceptual nexus and conceptual appropriation by students.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Sistemas baseados em cartão: revisão da literatura de novos sistemas e proposta de uma lista de fatores soft para a implementação desses sistemas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-12-03) Bagni, Gustavo; Godinho Filho, Moacir; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6136685270563354; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0315166757122262Although Production Control Systems are considered a mature topic in literature, up to now, the focus of literature has been on optimizing the operating parameters of each system, assigning little importance to factors related to human influence (soft factors). Implementation, however, remains a complex problem. This paper aims to reduce this gap by proposing, through a combination of research methods, a list of soft factors critical to success in implementing card-based systems, which which are the most studied and implemented and which share as a characteristic a strong human influence on their functioning. However, to achieve this goal, it was initially necessary to identify which systems are based on cards. Although for systems such as Kanban and CONWIP there is a large literature available, systems developed after POLCA proposal in 1998 were little explored. Therefore, this dissertation initially performs a systematic literature review identifying 13 systems developed between 1999 and 2018, such as COBACABANA, DDMRP, Redutex, B-CONWIP, BK-CONWIP, among others. Briefly, it presents how each system works, its characteristics, current research stage and environments in which it has been proved to be useful, aiming to increase researches about them. The systems are also compared in relation to six variables defined in the literature, identifying that many of the new systems are card-based. The soft factors proposed for the implementation of card-based systems are based on the analysis of problems cited in the literature as well as difficulties identified through a longitudinal case study. This list was validated by experts as well as a group of employees from the focus company that participated in the implementation of kanban. This dissertation also proposes a soft factor house for the implementation of card-based systems, in which the factors are classified as exclusive to this theme or classic management factors, as well as in relation to the organizational level in which it operates (organization, implementation group, or individual). This house aims to assist managers in implementing card-based systems, increasing success rates in this process. In addition, by reviewing recent production control systems, this dissertation aims to increase the repertoire of managers on existing systems, enabling the implementation of more appropriate options for the productive environment in which they are located.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Privacy Everywhere: mecanismo para tomada de decisões e garantia da privacidade em ambientes IoT(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-12-03) Andrade, Leandro Prado de; Zorzo, Sérgio Donizetti; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2523715806470871; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6280032570953598Through technological advances, society has moved toward the "always connected" paradigm. Growing varieties of devices are becoming able to connect to a network, capture information around them, and send and receive information. On the other hand, increasing in number of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, the ability to integrate IoT devices with IoT cloud services, and the diversity of forms of interaction can make it tiring to ask the user to make a privacy decision whenever it contacts a new IoT device. Due to sensitivity of many of information captured by IoT devices and because IoT cloud services do not focus on preserving user privacy, it is necessary that data captured by IoT devices be processed before being sent to cloud services. IoT environments can have a large number of data collection devices that often go unnoticed by users. Informing the user about the presence of each one of these devices and asking the user to make privacy decisions about data collection from these devices may be impracticable. This work presents the Privacy Everywhere mechanism for decision making and user privacy assurance in IoT environments. The proposed mechanism addresses user privacy issues and makes use of trained neural networks with data collected from a pre-established community. This minimizes user consultation at the time of data collection by the device that is part of an IoT environment. In validation of the mechanism, accuracy check of the Allow/Deny and Privacy Action neural networks that make up the mechanism presented an accuracy of 88.02% and 86.67%, respectively. Privacy Everywhere mechanism is able to help users preserve the privacy of their data in IoT environments.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Habilidades sociais educativas parentais de mães sobre relacionamentos afetivo-sexuais dos filhos com deficiência visual(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2019-12-03) Theodoro, Helen Cristiane da Silva; Costa, Carolina Severino Lopes da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0303439637261272; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0154240998811428The development of human beings largely depends on the family context and, during adolescence, issues arise that can often make parents feel unprepared to address, as is the case with affective and sexual development, even more so when the child presents any disability. For this reason, the objective of this study is to analyze the Social Educational Skills of parents in relation to their visually impaired children, with regard to the establishment of affective and/or sexual interpersonal relationships with their children. Seven mothers of teenagers with visual impairment participated in the research, with the teenagers being between 12 and 17 years old, with low vision or blindness. Participants responded to a Semi-structured Interview Guide, containing 23 questions. Subsequently, the interviews were transcribed and the data analyzed qualitatively, using 18 categories and subcategories of Parental Educational Social Skills. The results showed that the participants have a deficit in relation to Parental Educational Social Skills, given that they have overprotective attitudes, which interferes with the development of their children's autonomy and independence. Another factor found is that mothers do not allow many social interactions to be carried out by their children and, despite reporting that they have the freedom to talk about all subjects, when asked about sexuality and affective-sexual relationships, the majority of them were uncomfortable or uncomfortable. reported that they did not address these matters. The concept of sexuality proved to be a great taboo and interferes directly when linked to issues involving a person with a disability.
