The possible damage can vary according to the intensity of the explosion and these explosions are classified as A, B, C, M and X. Predicting this phenomenon is not an easy task due the sparse data and the unknowledge of relevante characteristics of the phenomenon. In this work we aim to improve the process of prediction of solar flares building the knowledge about the domain of the solar cycle structured in a domain ontology. The complexity of the data was abstracted by creating a domain Ontology in order to improve the prediction process. To apply the ontology, it was decided to incorporate it to the ECID solar explosion prediction method, which performs multi-class and multi-label prediction with treatment for imbalanced data. In order to contribute to research on solar flares, ECID was adapted to encompass the Onto Solar Flare ontology. The ontology was developed to semantically enrich the ECID algorithm, the combination of the two tools generated the ECID Onto. The h-BN has low surface wettability and is difficult to weld. The materials used to compose the metal-ceramic joint were Fe-Ni-Co, due to its low coefficient of thermal expansion, metallic molybdenum (Mo) and h-BN, due to its excellent dielectric properties. The formation of the brazing interface depends on the surface wettability of h-BN by the Ag-Cu-4,5-Ti brazing alloy. Brazing was performed at 865 °C, high vacuum atmosphere (10-5 mbar), with a holding time of 5 min. Computational finite element simulation was performed to evaluate thermal stresses in the brazed joint. The microstructural characterization of the brazing interfaces was performed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Localized Ion Beam (FIB). The tightness tests of the brazed BPM were carried out to determine the tightness of the pieces and their application in ultra-high vacuum. The simulation results showed the existence of critical points in the brazed joint due to the BPM geometry, with the formation of residual compressive stresses, originated by the difference between the thermal expansion coefficients of the materials. The microstructural characterization demonstrated the formation of a continuous joint without defects, with formation of new phases and complex compounds. The brazing alloy promoted the reaction between the active metal and the h-BN, forming new phases at the interface, in addition to eutectoid structures inside the remaining alloy. The formation of TiN and TiB2 compounds in a layer adjacent to h-BN was verified. The properties of the brazed component indicated tightness of 3x10-10 mbar to operate in ultra-high vacuum and brittle fracture in the ceramic material, which shows that the mechanical resistance of the brazed joint was superior to that of the base material.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Atendimento cível em unidade da Defensoria Pública do Estado de São Paulo: propostas de melhorias através da gestão por processos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-08-14) Nóbrega, Vitor; Alves Filho, Alceu Gomes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7885557554922569; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6794396284152134The Public Defender's Office is the body responsible for the realization of the constitutional right to full and free legal assistance to those who prove insufficient resources, not acting, however, in the labor, electoral and military areas. It has, therefore, an important function of assisting in the promotion of the rights guaranteed by the Brazilian order among the most vulnerable. In the State of São Paulo, the arrangement of each state unit is defined in part by its own public defenders, who may not have any management degree or training. This paper aims to bring proposals for improvements to the civil services offered by a unit of the Public Defender's Office of the State of São Paulo. The literature specialized in Process Management was considered and a case study was conducted. First, it was identified the main processes, possible problems and bottlenecks in the civil service of the unit under analysis. Due to this fact, real-time extrusion monitoring techniques have gained space, among them, the use of optics is quite attractive since its response time is short and there is no disturbance of the analysed medium. This work focused on the study of real-time in/on-line monitoring of polymeric casting during twin-screw extrusion in different malaxation situations by two optical techniques: turbidity and birefringence. A methodology was developed for in-line monitoring of hydrolysis, chain extension and simultaneous occurrence of both reactions for PET in different screw profiles. A specific equipment was also developed to be laterally coupled to the twin-screw extruder, promoting on-line monitoring of PP melting, at different malax points in the extrusion barrel. In the in-line monitoring of the reactions with PET, it was concluded that when evaluating each reaction separately the screw profile with a preferentially dispersive mixture was better for the chain extension reaction; on the other hand, the profile with a distributive character provided a better hydrolysis reaction. The intrinsic viscosity measurements of the samples taken during extrusion corroborated with the results obtained in-line, validating the measurements. In on-line monitoring, the axial melt profile of the PP melt flow during the first malaxation zone was quantified in real time. The melt fraction of PP in the flow was estimated by measuring its turbidity and flow birefringence. The turbidity decreased as the melt developed, as the ratio of the solid-to-fused polymer interfaces decreased. On the other hand, birefringence increased as the melt progressed.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A formação inicial de professores de língua inglesa com ênfase no ensino temático baseado em tarefas: a abordagem comunicativa reflexiva revelada do planejamento ao fato(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-08-14) Cassoli, Elaine Regina; Barbirato, Rita de Cassia; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6962819573963727; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1960348348498685The objective of this qualitative research, with an ethnographic and interpretative basis, was to analyze teaching units developed and, later, taught by pre-service teachers, from the last year of a Bachelor's Degree in Letters, in a private college, aiming at recognizing in these teaching units the extent to which the theory on language teaching based on thematic units and tasks, previously exposed to pre-service teachers in English Language Teaching Practice classes, may or may not have been materialized in the activities they have elaborated then administered to their peers. The theoretical framework is in line with authors whose ideas converge to communicative language teaching and teacher training, especially with regard to language teaching based on thematic units and tasks. Among them, we highlight: Almeida Filho (1992,1993, 1999, 2000, 2004, 2012, 2016); Barbirato (1999, 2005, 2008, 2016a, 2016b); Brown (2007); Bygate (2015); Ellis (2003); Long (2015); Nunan, (2000, 2004); Prahbu (1987); Skehan (2001); Van den Braden (2007); Vieira-Abrahão (1999, 2000, 2001, 2009, 2010); Xavier (1999, 2000, 2007a, 2010, 2011, 2016); Willis & Willis (2007). The instruments for the generation and gathering of data were the following: an initial diagnostic questionnaire; four open questionnaires, one of which was applied before the English Language Teaching Practice classes started; the second, after the end of the Teaching Practice classes; the third, after the preparation of the teaching units by the pre-service teachers and the fourth, after what we call “Fato”(Fact) when the teaching was put into practice by using the previously planned teaching units. In addition to the questionnaires, recordings and transcriptions of the conducted classes have also been made. The analysis of the data of this research has revealed that a significant part of the pre-service teachers managed to carry out tasks in the instructed lessons, some in greater quantity and others in lesser, showing that the process experienced in the teaching practices has been of satisfactory quality. Nevertheless, it is considered that the time available to accomplish the development of the teaching units and their presentation to students by pre-service teachers may have been insufficient for some who had difficulties in the process experienced, for others who have not been able to elaborate tasks and a few who have not felt secure to administer the classes. It is hoped that the results of this research will help teacher trainers to provide opportunities and encourage pre-service teachers to prepare and administer classes by using thematic teaching material based on tasks on the English Language Teaching Practice classes at undergraduate programs as well as being extended to continuing education courses in order to promote moments of reflection in the teaching practice with the pre-service teachers and in-service teachers really getting “hands on”.
