Known as the “hunger branch” and distinguished by its family farmers, the Southwest of São Paulo state is one of the least developed regions of the state. As part of a long history of poverty and social inequalities, the implantation of the Lagoa do Sino Campus of the Federal University of São Carlos in 2014 has represented an opportunity for the development of the region, being university extension among family farmers one of its pillars. Based on environmental anthropology and aiming to contribute to extensionism in the region, this dissertation brings out elements of productive history, practices, and traditional knowledge of its family farmers. Nine rural families from the municipalities of Angatuba, Buri and Campina do Monte Alegre have participated in this research. The fieldwork was carried out between October 2019 and January 2020, with a total of 27 visits to the properties and 22 people interviewed. The results bring to the light socioeconomic aspects of the region, the transformations in the local landscape, the productive strategies in the past and the present, as well as the traditional practices and knowledge among family farmers. The regional history of poverty and environmental degradation is related to a process of economic development that has always privileged the land property over the small producer. A pendular movement between diversification (1950-1980) and specialization (1980-2019) of productive strategies was also observed, which may shed light on the future of family farming in the region. It was also possible to show that traditional knowledge remains with some degree of complexity, playing a role in the productive strategies and decision-making of families. Its incorporation into extension projects may be one of the keys to the promotion of agriculture in the region as based on social justice, cultural valorization and environmental responsibility.

The research seeks to survey scientific productions produced from 2009 to 2019 starting with the publication of National Policies for Special Education from the perspective of Inclusive Education. The search took place within the databases of the National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Education (ANPEd) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), seeking to analyze, reflect and discover which publications relate the learning of Portuguese language by deaf people, as well as discover which publications bring pedagogical practices. In total, ten articles were published from 2009 to 2019. As a result, SciELO found only three publications that briefly contained some pedagogical practice that could contribute to the learning of the second language (as mentioned in Decree 5.626 / 05). In the ANPEd database only one publication. In total, four publications address educational issues. How others emphasize the challenges of inclusion / exclusion. They report the challenges of acquiring Sign Language as a first language and thus structuring for the learning of the Portuguese (written) language. Thus, it is clear that only public policies that guarantee the rights of deaf people are not enough. There must be structures that ensure that the legislation is actually enforced and the rights of deaf people are guaranteed, especially when the acquisition of the Portuguese language in written form is actually implemented.

(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-12-09) Botácio, Andrieli Cristina; Arakaki, Ana Carolina Simionato; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9896600626524397; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1531142132127667
Tim Berners-Lee proposed the Semantic Web for better information retrieval. In this context, there are the Linked Data principles through which the data connection on the Web is established which the main objective is to generate meaning to the Web pages. And, by utilizing, this causes with which the software agents and people could cooperate with each other to reach their goals in an efficient manner. The project consists of working with an initiative that is an example of the application of Linked Open Data, which is the Linking Open Data (LOD), which brings data published in linked data format. The research will focus on describing and analyzing the linguistic datasets present in this initiative. From this point, it is incited as a research problem: what is identified in the links and linguistic datasets in the Linking Open Data initiative? Focusing on this problem, the objective is to map the datasets corresponding to the ‘Linguistics’ category inserted in the Linking Open Data initiative. It is an exploratory and qualitative research and of a theoretical-applied nature, addressing as main theme the mapping of linguistic datasets in Linking Open Data. First, a theoretical and practical investigation was carried out on the identification of the linguistic data sets and the technologies used in the connection of these data; after the investigation was directed to the analysis of the Linguistics category of the Linking Open Data initiative. The results obtained show that types of datasets and technologies of the Semantic Web are found in each of the seven categories of linguistic data: Corpora; Lexicons and Dictionaries; Terminologies, Thesauri and Knowledge Bases; Linguistic Resource Metadata; Linguistic Data Categories; Typological Databases; Other. It is concluded that the Linking Open Data initiative satisfactorily fulfills its function, showing the viability of the open data connection, through the prescribed technologies. As for the linguistic data of such an initiative, it is noted that they are extremely relevant and employs the technologies according required in each category.

Scientific studies and statistical reports show that young people are living the most precarious paths in the world of work. To this population remains the deregulated work, including uberized work. The uberization process is one of the results of the flexible model of production, neoliberal rationality and the technological era. This process implies in the precariousness of the various life areas of the workers involved. The aim of this study was to understand the work reality of young people who perform informal or deregulated activities, as well as aspects related to their insertion and permanence in works of this type. The study followed the precepts of urban ethnography, used participant observation as a posture for insertion in the field as well as instruments for recording information such as field notebooks, questionnaires and audiovisual data. In-depth meetings are also held in this process. The participants were young food delivery working on digital platforms with 18-29 years old,. However, other informal jobs typically performed by young people were also analyzed during the ethnographic process. Data analysis followed the steps: a) Development of indexes; b) Preparation of titles and subtitles; c) Elaboration of the text. The results showed that the precocious, precarious, and destructive living conditions of young people are decisive in their insertion in the most diverse types of unregulated work. The institutions that support work and youth demonstrate many stereotypes about young workers and insufficient knowledge about their real-life situation, executing actions considered to be palliative, focused on professional education and entrepreneurship. It was possible to identify that due to their living and working conditions, uberized young workers experience problematic realities in the health, education and social relations. Thus, it is pointed out that the professions who acts in the field of work should provide an integral interdisciplinary and intersectoral care to these workers. This care should take place through the workers' health network, but also through the devices of education and social assistance, in conjunction with the legal agencies to support work and with representatives of social control, always considering the peculiarities of workers, including their age idiosyncrasies. The results helped to reflect on the need to expand Occupational Therapy practices in the field of work. Given the current situation, it is important that these practices, in addition to considering the real demands of workers in the various sectors and networks, have a political and critical character, in order to enable/facilitate access to information, awareness, social participation and the role of protagonist of these workers in the process of enabling their rights, as well as their collective articulations in favor of better working and living conditions.
