The concept of customer experience has been widespread in different industrial and service sectors as a positive customer experience in relation to a product, brand and services has the ability to increase levels of satisfaction, loyalty and word-of-mouth communication. In the health area, there is a clear concern with the patient's experience. This is a multidimensional concept focusing on the cognitive, emotional, behavioral, sensory and social responses of patients in relation to direct or indirect interactions with the company providing health services. In the literature on this topic, one of the challenges is how to measure the patient's experience. This assessment becomes more necessary in the context of a pandemic such as that experienced by many countries, including Brazil. Thus, this research aims to measure the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on patient experience practices in Brazilian hospitals through a closed questionnaire. To achieve this objective, two research methods were adopted. The first refers to a scoping review in the literature on models for measuring the experience of adult patients in general hospitals. The second method refers to conducting a survey type survey by applying a questionnaire on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on patient experience practices in Brazilian hospitals. Data were collected for a valid sample of 88 health professionals and / or hospital managers. Among the results of the research, we highlight the identification of the main instruments (HCAHPS, PPE and QPP) and variables (communication and information, work team and care and safety) used to assess the patient's experience. The results also show the relationship of the hospital's response capacity to coping with COVID-19 with the performance of the current and future hospital and with the patient's experience practices and, these, with the performance of the patient's experience. It also shows the positive moderating effect of patient guidance on the hospital's present performance.

Metacognitive knowledge refers to the information that the subject holds about his own cognitive systems and also about cognition in general, being considered as the segment in which the knowledge of the world is stored and the human being is understood as a cognitive creature. It is through this knowledge that the individual controls his resolution behaviors, enabling him to recognize and characterize problem situations, and to choose the resolution strategy that best suits him. Impression management, on the other hand, is the process by which individuals attempt to control their actions in order to adapt to and shape the impressions that others construct about them. One technique recently included in this process is humblebrag, composed of a combination of the strategies humility, complaining, and bragging. However, studies in this field have evidenced that demonstrating sincerity in speech is essential for building a positive image. The main objective of this doctoral dissertation is to investigate evidence of the relationship between metacognitive knowledge and impression management, as well as to examine humblebrag as a self-presentation technique: whether its elements interfere in its process, and if so, which ones. It is first hypothesized that metacognitive knowledge has a direct influence on impression management. The second hypothesis is that humblebrag is moderated by the strategies that compose it, the motivations of self-presentation and the speaker's sincerity and ability to convince. Thus, this thesis is divided into three studies, described in the format of scientific articles. The first manuscript aimed to analyze, by means of a systematic review, studies on impression management and humblebrag. Five references were obtained, the first of which was published in 2015. Main results indicated that complaining and bragging are preferred strategies by the audience when compared to humblebrag. The second manuscript described a pilot study, in which an instrument was developed with the aim of assessing metacognitive knowledge in impression management, and humblebrag and its elements. This instrument was evaluated by three expert judges and applied to 12 university students. Results showed that the instrument is adequate for the constructs it intends to assess. Finally, the third manuscript brought the reformulation of the instrument based on the participants' considerations, and the application of the questionnaire in a representative sample of the instrument's target audience. Results pointed out that during the evaluation of metacognitive knowledge, impression management strategies were indicated, establishing a relationship between the two phenomena. Furthermore, the use of humblebrag, in order to be successful, requires a balance between humble and boastful behavior, and the need to convince the public of one's competence.

Solid waste, lack of basic sanitation and water pollution contribute negatively to the quality of life of cities and their inhabitants, in addition to the deficiency of public policies aimed at local sustainable development, as the vast majority of cities suffer without adequate infrastructure. The universalization of public services is distant considering that in the 21st century, 47% of the Brazilian population does not have basic sanitation and 16% does not have treated water. Eco-barriers are structures that aim to capture all types of floating waste improperly disposed of in water courses. In view of this, the general objective of the present study was to evaluate the impact that eco-barriers have on water quality and reduction of water pollution. The amount of floating solid waste collected in the periods from October 2019 to March 2020 was determined from the installed eco barriers, such as the water quality of the stretches evaluated with the presence of macrophytes (Eichhornia crassipes) and application of the Callisto Protocol to measure the degree of impact on the points assessed. It was observed through the protocol, that points 1 and 2 had the same score (20 points), which characterizes the stretches as impacts through mainly anthropic actions. In point 3, a slightly greater presence of vegetation was observed on the banks of the Ribeirão, in addition, there was no presence of oil in the water and no evident odor, classifying it as an “altered” section with 26 points. With regard to collected waste, 2018 was the year where the lowest monthly average of collection (294.9 kg) was obtained over a six-month period. The year of 2019 stood out, with just over a ton and in 2020, even considering the months of January, February and March of evaluation, the volume corresponded to 65.03% of the year of 2019. With regard to hydrological monitoring , there were statistically significant differences in the electrical conductivity parameters and total dissolved solids. Eco-barriers are functional structures because they prevent floating residues from reaching the Jurumirim dam and compromise the fauna, flora and all natural habitat. Regarding the use of Eichhornia crassipes, the values show that there is apparently an improvement in water quality, however other studies are essential with the increase in the sampling period and frequency

Abstract Ichnofossils, studied by Paleoichnology, are structures produced as a result of behavioral and physiological activities of organisms of the past. Fossil tracks (footprints), one of the best-known types of ichnofossils (bioturbations), are produced by the interaction of the animal's autopods with the substrate, the latter being deformed in the process. The shape of the autopods, the conditions of the substrate and the locomotion behavior of the trackmaker directly influence the morphology of the tracks. During the beginning of the Cretaceous, a huge sandy paleodesert covered a large area of the Brazilian territory, giving rise later to the eolian sandstones of the Botucatu Formation. Its main fossiliferous content are the tracks and excavations produced by the animals (vertebrates and invertebrates) that lived in the paleodesert, being the region of the Municipality of Araraquara (São Paulo State) the one that presents the greatest quantity and diversity of ichnofossils. The present work had as main objective the morphological and paleoecological analysis of ichnofossils with affinity to non-archosaurian tetrapods from the Botucatu Formation. The descriptions of the tracks and trackways were carried out based on parameters established in the scientific literature, such as width and length of the tracks, oblique pace, stride, pace angulation, trackway width and rotation of the autopods. Several specimens of tracks with affinity to larger mammaliaformes have been described and analyzed, and a new ichnotaxon, Aracoaraichnium leonardii, has been defined. It was possible to determine that the trackmaker of these larger tracks belonged to a different species than the trackmaker of the Brasilichnium tracks, and not an advanced ontogenetic stage. In this way, the trackmaker of A. leonardii represents a new component in the ecological structure of the Botucatu paleodesert. It is inferred that the trackmakers of this ichnotaxon could feed on invertebrates or plant material, depending on the availability of resources, being potential competitors of the trackmakers of Brasilichnium. Tracks with affinity to Lepidosauria (lizards) were also described and analyzed for the first time. Such tracks are pentadactyl, with curved digits. The digit I is directed to the inside of the trackway and opposite the digit V, which is in a posterolateral position. Marks attributed to drag and contact of the tail on the substrate were identified. The icnotaxonomic attribution was tentatively made to the icnogenus Rhyncosauroides, and future analyzes based on new, better preserved specimens may elucidate this issue. From the analysis of the trackways, it was possible to identify three distinct locomotion behaviors, being the typical cursorial gait, a gait where the footprints are rotated in the same direction, diverging from the trackway’s midline, and one where the producer makes stops. The recognition of a new trackmaker with a lizard-like affinity increases the complexity of the ecological web of the Botucatu Formation and contributed to the understanding of the distribution and niche occupation of these animals in the Lower Cretaceous.
